Upon arriving home, noticed my air conditioner cover was distorted and not on properly. Removed cover and heard a hissing sound coming from the unit. Looking over the unit I saw it was moved and found the main copper connection to the air conditioner was cracked and leaking refrigerant. I also saw damage to some interlocking stone edging. Later I found the receipt for the work done where the representative actually admitted that he had bumped the air conditioner and to contact Head Office if there was any damage.
After repeated phone calls and multiple emails there has been no action taken! About 10% of the phone messages left get responded to ( they never answer any calls, just take voice mails) and even less results with emails. The call that I did get a response from said to send quotes for the repairs and pictures. I had sent pictures the day it happened in an email and have sent them at least 6 more times since the first. I have also sent 2 quotes in for the repair in which I had the repair done just so I wasn’t stuck without air conditioning for the summer. As expected after sending in the quotes there has been no more contact from Property Stars!
Ended up having to pay $708.51 to have the cracked copper line repaired and add new refrigerant. Lesson learned. Unless I get my money refunded for the repair since they don’t back their work, I would have to say:
DO NOT TRUST CANADIAN PROPERTY STARS
Upon contacting Canadian Property Stars once more, they have now sent me a cheque refunding the amount I paid to have the air conditioner repaired.

Had them spray my driveway.
They sprayed all over my 80K SUV parked in the street.
Very disappointed!
Never did they advise us to park further out or taken any measure to avoid it.
I paid for aeration and window cleaning on my credit card. Work was done to okay standard but a month later I got my credit card statement and they billed me twice about three weeks apart for the same service. I only authorized one payment. *** NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!
This business requires that I pay for the job first and then they will send someone to do the work.
It has now been 18 days and no one has come. I have emailed them 3 times and have not received a reply. I called them 4 times and they replied once and told me they will be calling to book a time for them to come to my house. They have not. They should not have charged my credit card before even doing the job.
I was contacted by the business about airration and detaching my lawn in the spring of 2020 for the cost of $220.50, I paid them using my ***. The transaction was posted Feb 4, 2020 to my account.
In mid May I receive a call from the Edmonton office about the crew coming out to do the work the next day, shortly the same day the individual showed up at my home to do the work the agreement was that I had to be at home I was not I was in Hospital at the time they showed up. When I got home I called the individual and he informed me I would have to talk to the office because he was out of the area. I then call the Edmonton office about getting the work done and the lady told me it would be a week or two before they could get back I said ok but no longer. In two weeks no one showed up and when I called the Edmonton it was close to mid June with the 1 866 number to call. I called the number and talked to a person in the accounting department requesting a cancelation of services and a refund of my payment. I was told at that time it would take a couple of weeks, I called two weeks later and I was told it was being processed, today July 6, 2020 I called again and was told it was posted to my *** account on July 3, 2020, this was not the truth

's refund was processed on July 3rd at 2:10pm for the amount of $220.50. Return was approved and it may take a few days to be posted on the account. If it ties in with the end of the billing cycle, perhaps it shows up on the next statement. This is beyond our control and can be easily looked into by the customer through day to day banking or asking their branch to look at daily activity.
Earlier this spring, we hired a representative of Canadian Property Stars to maintain our yard. They came once to airate and did a very poor job. When we were away, they came again and supposedly dethatched our yard. We noted that there was large area that was not done as well as 2 of our lawn chairs missing!
My *** and I have attemped to contact them by phone and email without success. They have our credit card information and billed $303.45 which we paid. This is very concerning as we cannot contact anyone with their corporate office located in Ontario.
Mr. submitted this *** complaint the same day he spoke to a Head Office representative. The result of this conversation was to have the service refunded.
As discussed on the phone, Mr. is slated to receive his money back. Being that we are still within the 10-15 business days timeline for refund processing, the process is moving along properly and Mr. should receive his refund very shortly.
They did an absolute awful job staining my driveway. I asked for a matte finish and got a super shiny, uneven patchy finish. It has been over two weeks and it is getting worse looking. I am embarrassed to have people see it. They should not be in business. Be warned.
Had my driveway sealed June14/20.Noticed nozzle on sprayer was not appyling sealer in a uniform spray. Asked employee about thiis. He informed me he had cleaned the nozzle and it was okay. Employee had left when l went out to check the job.The driveway was not completely covered with sealer in many areas and in other areas too much sealer was applied (puddling).Called the company June 15th in the a.m. and spoke with *** who said some one would call back . Called again today June 16 in the afternoon told to leave # and message and some one would get back to me. Hasn't happened
Hello ***, Your complaint has been filed and passed on to our Hamilton location. Being that they are service location, they are operating crews on a daily basis. This is a weather dependent service and based on the schedule of their service crew. Once the crew is heading to your neighbourhood, you will receive a call 24-48 hours in advance to service.

In response to Mr. rebuttal, our locations systematically work through their territories. They are not necessarily in the same neighbourhoods on back to back days. Mr. complaint is on file and is actually in the system twice (once from Head Office and once from the location). Phone calls for reservice are provided 24-48 hours prior to service once the teams are back in the neighbourhoods.
Mr. will receive such notification when our service team is back in the area.

My neibour had their driveway sprayed. It covered my new yellow Corvette is black tar. In exchange I was offered for them.to wipe it down with a cleaning agent the next day, or $20 off their services ( a cheaper price was available online anyways I find out after) I have been quoted $1000 to remove the tar without harming the vehicle. I spend 4 hours personally buffing the vehicle to make it better, but it's still not good. I'm heartbroken over this, it's a collector's item that I have had for 4 days.... the guy was supposed to come back after talking to the "CEO" and never came back. I saw them drive by 4 times. I was very reasonable during this issue but now I will be requesting the entire repair be covered by a reputable body shop or detailing facility.
Mr. has been responded to. Multiple methods of contact were used instead of phoning our National Head Office. He is being taken care of by Head Office in response to his message on ***. Any future situations will be resolved through our services email and Ottawa local office.
Had long discussion with representative of Canadian Property Stars on my property regarding service they provide. Lawn had lots of damage from previous years and was planning on removing and converting to a zero scape design. The representative assured me with their full rejuvenation service I was guaranteed satisfaction, that there would be 100% seed germination. He convinced to pay an additional $50 for extra material to improve the results. My responsibility was to water once or twice a day for 3 weeks. I watered twice a day for more than 3 weeks on days it did not rain, kept records of when I watered and took a photos each morning. What grass was existing turned green due to the fertilizer but there is no evidence of any seed surviving and I still have vast areas of no grass and lots of weeds. When contacted Canadian Property Stars they offered refund of value of seed.

The following is the last email I have sent (on June 3rd, 2020) to via their website form, and through the email provided in my sales receipt:
"Hello. I received a lawn aeration on February 14, 2020 at ***. At that time I agreed to purchase a lawn rejuvenation for a total of $329.17 (tax included). I received a receipt via email on February 15 and my credit card was charged.
The employee that performed the aeration stated that the rejuvenation would be done sometime between mid April to mid May.
Since the initial aeration and receipt email, I have received no contact from Canadian Property Stars. I understand that this is a challenging time due to COVID, however, as a customer, I would expect at least a mass-email explaining that my service might be delayed and the options available to me (ie rescheduling, refunds, etc).
The time frame for my service is now almost 3 weeks past the outside completion date (mid may). It's now June and the services that I thought I would receive would not be as effective if performed now. I'm disappointed in the lack of communication and that my lawn has not been serviced. Again, I know this is a challenging time for businesses, it's challenging for everyone.
I'm therefore requesting a full refund for the services not performed (I agreed to a $50 aeration, so that should be subtracted from my refund as this service was performed I would consider re-booking this service next spring if this matter is resolved in a timely and satisfactory way.

I have not received a reply to my emails, and have not been able to talk to a representative via phone (no answer to their phone number).
My last email was sent a week ago. I find it unacceptable as a customer that this company has not contacted me since charging my credit card on Februrary 15th (almost 4 months)! Given the nature of the service, it is no longer feasible/effective to perform the service (the effect of the service would not be worth the price originally agreed to as it is too late the season for this type of service).
As I stated the email, I understand the challenging situation that everyone is in, but in 4 months, I would expect an email for an update.

I regret having paid for an aeration service online almost two months ago. I have left numerous voices messages and emails. When I finally managed to talk with a human about a month ago, they said they would get the service done within the next month. This has not happened yet. Next time I will rent an aerating machine and do it myself or hire local!! I'm sooo tired of leaving messages...
On Feb. 9th 2020 I signed an agreement with Canadian Property Stars to aerate and rejuvenate my lawn. The charge was $285 + GST, which I paid on my credit card and which monies they have received. The lawn was aerated that day and I was told the workers would return in April to complete the job (de-thatching, power raking, fertilization, and over-seeding). They arrived at 8 p.m. on Easter Saturday when growing darkness would have made it impossible to complete the job, which they agreed was the case and they left. The head guy *** said they'd be back soon, probably Easter Monday. I haven't seen them since. I've emailed three times, with no response. I phoned the Ottawa head office twice and left messages, and an employee named *** assured me that the work would be done a.s.a.p. Nothing happened. I phoned again, leaving messages, and on May 14th *** phoned me to apologise and said that the work would definitely be done by the end of May and that they would phone a couple of days in advance to let me know when they'd be coming. So now it is the beginning of June, the work hasn't been done, and I've had no further communication from them. I appreciate that the pandemic makes things difficult, but the situation has become ridiculous and I'm beginning to think I've been ***.

property stars contacted me about aerating our lawns for $60 which included front and back. I spoke to them in February stating that we wouldn't want it done before spring as it was wet and rainy. They agreed that it wouldn't be until at least March. One rainy day in February, they showed up and did the front lawn, making a big muddy mess. Back yard was flouded so it wasn't done at all. My husband was completely unaware of our agreement so he paid them the $60 dollars cash that was requested from him and stated they would return to do the back yard. I called company February 27th, 2020 asking for the $60 dollar refund that was promised to me to be returned within 4 weeks. I called again Apr 3, 2020 and told it was being looked after. Still no results so I contacted them again April 20, 2020. It is now May 11th, 2020 and still no refund. I believe they have no intention of returning our money.
Canadian Property Stars would like to apologize for the delay in the refund as we had you file for a possible redo. Due to this clerical error, the refund would not have been sent as we anticipated resolving the issue through our lawn care services. A refund cheque in the amount of $60 has been sent in the mail.

For a few years, Canadian Property Stars did our lawn aeration. They came, then I paid. This time, I was asked if I could prepay via credit card. I did pay them $60 on my *** on November 28, 2019. I was told they would come do the service in the spring. I was advised via email (and by phone) that they would come perform the aeration on April 17th, 2020l but on the 16th, they sent me an email (and called) to advise they would do it on April 18th. That day came and went and no one showed up. I wrote an email and tried to call but no one answered and their voicemail was full so I wasn't able to leave a message. It took a few days before we could reach someone and they aksed us if we were sure no one showed up? They said they'd put a note on file. A few days later we called again and they said they said the job had been marked as completed but they would send someone to do it within 2 weeks. We contacted them again last week and *** from Canadian Property Stars Scarcborough said she'd come that week and perform the aeration herself. We are now May8th, and no one did the aeration. We want the service done or our money back. Preferably the service completed. We spoke to someone on April 22, April 27 and then May 4th.
The clown came to my house while I was in the garage and gave me "the pitch" about lawn irrigation. I listened then said no thanks. He left shaking his head saying "I don't know what's wrong with people". He went to my neighbour across the street and did the same thing and got the same response. The guy turned and said I don't know what's with these people. Thats when I confronted him about his comments. He acted like we should just say yes and give him our money. He was a complete ***.
I hired this company to service my lawn. They did not show up, however charged my ***. I called several times, and left messages. No one answered my calls. I emailed them - no one emailed me. I see online that several other people have the same issues. I would like a refund.

I bought the Lawn Rejuvenation pack on March 8. I was told I Would receive a call in 2 weeks to book a day for the service.
I have not received any calls, I've been trying to call everyday but no answer and I've also sent emails with no response. Im very surprised how unprofessional this company is, I would like a full refund because they have not provided me with a service I paid for, they basically took my money and ran away.
Thank you for your message. As per your Lawn Care Agreement, Lawn Rejuvenation services are performed in April and May. A Service notification e-mail was sent out at the end of March when we were starting our services. Email and phone notifications are sent closer to the actual service date of your property. Our lawn care teams are systematically working their way through our service territory taking care of all of our customers.
I'm sure you can appreciate that during this complex time, services might take a little longer to complete. You are on our list and will be service in a timely manner given we are still in the month of April.

I am rejecting this response because: First off a service notification e-mail was never sent out to me. When I had the aerating lawn done on march 8 your representative said I will receive a call in 2 weeks to book the completion of the package I bought from your company, I never received a call in that 2 weeks, I've been trying to call for weeks and you guys never answer the phone so I left multiple voice messages, you finally decided to call me back last week saying that I will receive a call this week for completion of the package, why could you not setup the date when you called me back last week? instead you gave me the run around again, I still haven't received any call about a booking. Judging by the all the previous complaints from your previous customers this is how you guys do business and treat your customers, I dont want to deal with your company anymore and excuses, please just refund me the $285 I paid for the package minus the $50 aerating fee that I was told by your representative is the fee if I dont want to buy the whole package.
PS: Yes I understand its a complex time but we wouldnt be having this problem if you would communicate with your customers in a professional and timely manner instead of giving me the run around, and all the other landscapers in my city seem to be continuing there work since its outdoors and everyone remains 6 feet apart. If you are delaying because of covid then why arent you communicating that to your customers??

Despite having all service details clearly written on the contract and servicing our customers exactly in the timeline explained in our service notification email during a mandatory shut down enforced by the governments in Canada during a global pandemic which logically affected all business worldwide, we will refund your money.
Even when slowed down, our teams worked extremely hard to service all of our BC customers to ensure their lawns were taken care in the same service window of April and May.
