In the original complaint there were several references to requests for cancellations that Mr*** indicated were not followed up on, hence our focus on cancellations in our responseWe have reached out to the hospital leadership to discuss the frustrations Mr*** voiced regarding the lack of a follow up call and the difficulties he faced altering his contact informationNeither of these concerns, however invalidate the agreements or the care that has been provided
We are aware of leadership changes at this location and are working to address Mr***'s concerns with the current hospital leaders

I am rejecting this response because:I cancelled after payment due to we didn’t own the animalWe were not notified we owed anything, and my balance was $at the time of payment receivedWe cancelled service, any business that gives customers to cancel it means cancel as that dayI do not know why it didn’t, but I felt harassed by the fact a collector is involved for something that should be cancelled.

Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: They called me and tried to say that they offered us a drop-off appointment, and that is absolutely UNTRUE. I'm at work and didn't have time to argue and entertain the nonsense that I was being fed over the phone. In the past (and not the most recent past), a drop-off appointment was offered, but I do not trust ANYONE, especially a department store, with my pet without my husband or I being present. No where in the Wellness Plan contract, did it mention that we would have to drop-off our pet for an appointment. That's absurd.Sincerely,*** ***

All anesthetic procedures in Wellness Plans include
one pre-anesthetic blood screening to help ensure Pets are healthy enough for anesthesia/surgeryIf the pre-anesthetic blood screen reveals a condition that needs further attention and the procedure is postponed, the member will be responsible for the cost of the blood work at the time the abnormality is found (unless there is another blood work available in the plan)The pre-anesthetic blood work included in the plan is available only on the day the surgical or dental procedure is performed
We have been made aware that leadership for this hospital has attempted to connect with our clientThe hospital has not received follow up from our clientWe highly encourage our client to communicate with them directly regarding this matter

The Wellness Plan enrolled my Ms*** for
Trooper was a preventative care plan in which the cost was divided into monthly installmentsUnder this yearly agreement, Ms *** agreed to the terms and conditions of the planThis includes the annual cost of $The plan for Trooper was cancelled on July 5th, after being past due for a period of daysThe remaining balance that is shown due of is the total of the remaining installments that were not paid for the plan yearMs***’s plan was active up until March 3rd of when the automatic draft was declined by Ms***’s financial institutionSince services were utilized by the client, we are unable to offer a refund as requested by the client
Ms*** has paid the balance owed and we are in the process of removing the account from collections as paid in full

Banfield will not release medical records to a third party without the owner of records authorization or a subpoenaAs *** *** is not listed on the account as the owner, co-owner or authorized contact for this pet we cannot provide *** *** with a copy of the records for the 12/
visit or any of the other visits on recordFurthermore we were unable to, and did not, release the pet into anyone's care that was not listed on the medical record
We would encourage *** *** to either obtain the records through *** *** or through the local PD who were also involved in this matter

Banfield OWPs are a package of itemized and discounted preventive veterinary care services, such as vaccines, exams, and dental cleaningsThis package of services is designed to be delivered over the course of a year at any Banfield Pet HospitalClients can elect to spread the cost of the OWP over a year with equal monthly payments or they can elect to pay up front for the entire annual cost of the OWP
As indicated in the terms, OWPs auto-renew on an annual basisAlso, as indicated in the terms a client can cancel an OWP at any time but if cancelled four or more days after the effective date, Banfield is entitled to recover the lesser of (1) the retail value of services used under the OWP or (2) the remaining monthly payments due under the terms of the OWP

Yes I would have continued with the program but the local store closed and it was a distance to the other one I did call in 12/and 06/and was told my membership was cancelled It was not and I was charged for many more months I just dont think its fair and I am not getting a refund so I must try social media and the Attorney Generals Office Thank you for the detailed response
