The manager over Customer Support has been in contact with the customer and the process is moving forwardThe following is the series of events in greater detail:The customers met with our sales consultant on 7/20/They signed a contract with us on the 29th for a total of 285W panels for a
5.52kW systemThis was estimated to provide an offset of 103% based on their current usageThe sales consultant was told by the customers that they were going to be adding a Koi Pond, which included a 2nd water heater and a recirculation pumpWe added extra panels to get them to the 103% offset, so they could have some room to add those extra things and still be offset by solarNow that they have made those changes, they called in to us because they were still getting a power bill. We did a power bill analysis for the customer to see how their consumption and production were working hand in handWe compared their power bills to their production through our monitoring systemThe system was working as we had sold it, but their offset dropped from the 103% to just above 66% due to the increase in usageThe water heater, recirculation pump, and Koi Pond added significantly to their consumptionThis is why they were still getting power billsAs said before, we did attempt to estimate what the additional usage would be, but it was more than we projectedWe came to the conclusion of the additional panels on 7/25/and we reached out to the wife via emailWe never got a response from her, tried to make phone calls and left messages, and never heard from herOn 10/18/2017, the husband called in upset about the power bills againWe asked him to send over the most current power bills, which he did, and we added them to the power bill analysis that had already been completed in JulyWe also let him know that we had previously worked with his wife and offered a solution, but never heard from her againWe set up an in-office meeting with the Sales Manager in our Idaho officeThe manager met with the customers and discussed all of these events with them. Due to this increase in usage, the customers will be adding 310W panels to their home to reach the original offset of 103% as soldWe will only be charging them for of these panels, since we did not estimate enough initiallyWe believe that this will cover their usage up to 103%

I have very good experience in working with auric solar.

Andrew with Solaroo did a great job presenting various solar options to us. He helped my family understand the importance of choosing the right panel, inverters, etc. He was well-prepared and went to bat for us to get the best deal possible. His pricing was very competitive and he was on the ball to get things rolling quickly. Thank you to Andrew and Solaroo for all you have done for our family to make this investment happen.

So after hours of checking consumer reviews of many, many solar companies and actually signing up with another, I met with Andrew at Solaroo Energy. He was able to satisfy my main concerns: 1) 25-year product and workmanship warranty; 2) a product made in the USA and 3) installing a new 200 amp meter box at a low price. Andrew explained how an inverter works and why it was necessary to select a good product (the other guy assumed all this info was way over my head and just glossed over the subject and told me what I should get--wrong move!). I've had an electrical home evaluation and Solaroo Energy is moving toward permit application process. Talk to Andrew. You will be satisfied as if he doesn't have the answers, he'll get it and not make assumptions. Thank you Andrew!

Great experience. Our rep Andrew was informative and kept things simple.

Mr C presented Soalroos solar plan to and answered our questions. We had previously met with other providers but their benefits, pricing and support arms were not as good as Solaroos. I work in the solar industry and I recognized the Solar Edge system and the LG panels that Andrew presented. We look forward to having solar in our home.

Andrew was very thorough and made sure he answered all of our questions.

I selected Solaroo after getting bids from 4 companies. Best warranties on equipment and labor, best pricing too. Thank you to Andrew M. Goodbye high energy bills.

So far so good. Andrew M had been great and we are looking forward to our install in the next few months.
Thanks Solaroo!

Great company with courteous electricians

Bryant was very nice and knowledgeable. While I didn't end up going with their company for my solar needs, they were a close second.

I have been looking into going solar for a couple of years. I have a family member who went through a different company and I had planned to have them stop by. I planned on getting a few different companies to compare. Solaroo was one of those. When Andrew came by he explained things so well that we decided to skip the other companies. He took time to answer our questions thoroughly. I already had a good understanding of solar but he took the time to explain the concepts to my wife. We are still at the beginning stages but so far so good!

I was very happy with the presentation and I am excited to get started on our solar journey.

This business sends out mailings titled "Construction Permit Notice," which clearly are trying to look like the government is sending you a notice when in reality, it is an advertisement for auric solar. This is deceptive and unprofessional. This practice needs to stop.

Auric Solar Response • Aug 10, 2018

We were approached by a third-party marketing company and partnered with them as a one-time endeavor. The intent of the letter was to notify neighbors of a pending installation in their neighborhood near them, based on official public records for permits filed, and give them the opportunity to learn more about solar for their own home. Unfortunately, the marketing company created several typos in their systems which caused customer information to be written in the letters incorrectly, implying that solar was going to be installed on the recipient's/customer's home. We have already asked the third-party marketing company to mail out an apology/correction letter, so the customer should receive that within a week's time. We apologize for any frustrations or inconvenience due to the error, and it has already been addressed. As mentioned, this is not a typical practice of Auric Solar. It is never our intent to deceive or mislead any potential or existing clientele. If you have any further concerns please feel free to call our Customer Support team directly at 801-878-3363.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely

Wonderful experience. The process from presentation to estimate to engineering were all ready to understand and expertly done.

My wife and I work with Andrew M on the preparation of solar panels for our roof. We were very impressed with his professionalism and his consideration to our needs. We feel he knows the information well and is able to relay it in such away we understood it.

Andrew M is the one we worked with and he proved to be extremely helpful and courteous. He responded to us and our needs in a professional and timely fashion. We had tried talking to other solar salesmen who didn’t know much about the product they were trying to sell. Andrew could answer almost every question, and those he didn’t know he quickly found out about so that we could feel comfortable making a solar choice.

Excellent to do business with. Andrew is a great salesman. Very happy with the service.

Look no further. This is the company for you.

In Idaho, there is one best solar company. That's Auric. Let me tell you how I know this.

I did a mountain of research on the various installers and their vendors. I looked at what each installer promised, and what they actually did. I talked with actual customers. On all counts, Auric came out on top.

I had my 9.3 kW system installed in early November, 2017. This was important because I was able to take advantage of the 30% Federal tax credit, the $1,500 Idaho state tax credit, and the 0% down for 12 months that Auric still offers. I can take 30% depreciation over 5 years. The incentives are pretty amazing.

On the customer service side, I had the best experience imaginable thanks to David Ballew, who managed the process from start to finish. If I had a question--whether it had to do with a panel, the system, Idaho Power details, financing, tax credits--I could call David and he would always reply fast. Eight months later, David is still answering calls fast. There is definitely service after the sale.

If you are wondering about solar, read up on it. In Idaho, very few of us are solar adopters. But those who are become solar enthusiasts for a few reasons. First, we know this is the right thing to do. Second, ever since my solar collectors caught up with my energy use in March, 2018 (yes, during the bleak Idaho inversions--the sun still powered my house), my Idaho Power bill has been $5 per month. Well, $5.27 with tax. Third, look at what Auric is doing. Don't worry about talk of tariffs on solar panels made in China. All of Auric's panels are made in the U.S. They do everything at the highest quality.

For example, the electricians required for this job, and their coordination with Idaho Power and the city of Boise, blew my mind. David made sure this was a seamless process with no hiccups. I also needed a roof. David Ballew came through again with a top recommendation for a roofer--Blue Goat Roofing. The minute the roof was approved, the solar panels came on.

In a sentence--I am thrilled with Auric Solar. Talk with David, and once you sign off on your part of the agreement, David will take it from there. Painless.

If you want to ask me any questions, message me through this site. I'm happy to chat with you. This is a big decision--and it's the right decision.

The entire team at Auric Solar has been great to work with. It took Nic H nearly a year to get me to say yes to discussing solar and then finally saying yes. He was professional and not high pressure in any way the entire time. Nic did a great job of explaining the pros and cons of solar. The team I have worked with has been fantastic, responsive, ensured I was comfortable with the process, and people I would highly recommend. The install process ended up being quite a bit faster than I thought it would be. I guess the stars aligned for me! Even my neighbor was impressed with the installers! She came over the next day to tell me she watched them on hands and knees picking up install debris that may have fallen in the yard. Integrity is doing the right thing when no one is looking. Nice job guys!
