Our postman has an Anthony and Sylvan Pool and he loved his, so we checked them online since we have been wanting a pool for about two years now. We ended up getting a kidney shaped pool that's 3 feet to five feet with light. The team from Anthony and Sylvan were all wonderful. They promptly return phone calls and emails and answers any questions we have. Their designer listened to what we had in mind and came up with a really well thought out plan.
Review: Anthony Sylvan Pools installed our pool. When the inspector came out for the final he found that the electrical did not meet code. The 110 volt outlet did not work and the placement was not inside the fence as required. Anthony Sylvan claimed that the fence was installed after their work. We have pictures that show that is not the case and they are not being truthful.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Other (requires explanation)

My pool was built by Anthony & Sylvan 20 years ago. I took them again for the renovation - re-plaster, tile, decking. The design consultant was great and polite. He came down for a meeting at least three times to consult with me and my wife. The coordinator was awesome too, and she kept me on top of the schedule. I now have a sparkling new pool that looks like it has just been built. It looks fabulous. I am recommending them.
I have been wanting a pool for years and when I was referred to Anthony & Sylvan Pools, I decided to hire them. They called and did everything on a timely basis. They were terrific. They return my phone calls promptly and show up on time. They latched everything in great shape. I got a free form pool with a shelf and a hot tub and we've been in it all summer. We use it every day and it's great.
We wanted a pool at our other house, but that wouldn't work with our current location. So when we built a new house, we decided to go ahead and put in a pool. So, it's a two-fold: new house, new pool. We knew another couple from our area that had used Anthony & Sylvan and they were happy. Our pool is not free-formed, and we wanted more of natural look. Then we did a sun shelf with it because we wanted a place where someone could sit, still be in the water but not have to be swimming and watch children. And we wanted a diving board and a couple of places where kids could rest as well. I love how easy it was once it was up and going. I'm the one that took care of it all summer, and it was literally once a week and it was super simple. The company that Anthony & Sylvan recommended for us to the opening and closing of our pool made it seamless. We did the salt also and highly recommend that because not only do my kids love it, but I love it because it's better on their skin, swimsuits and towels. It makes everything just a lot easier. Also, the project manager was great. He ended up staying on, to see us through the project, which was awesome because things that we had talked about got taken care of because he was on the project. Anytime you do any kind of project building-wise, there's always things that come up, go wrong, have to be changed or whatever. And he stepped us through all those things pretty well. I never had a pool before, and he helped give us recommendations of things that he's seen in life over the years and past experience that he had. We already did recommend Anthony & Sylvan to a friend. And they're already starting the process of having someone come out to talk with them. They already had a positive experience just in their first meeting with the person too. Anthony & Sylvan are very professional and time-conscious. If I had any kind of complaint, it would be that it took a little longer than I thought it would. But it wasn't all on Anthony & Sylvan. Some of it had to do with our construction project going on at the same time.
Review: What a horrible experience and it's not over yet!!!11 months have passed since contracts were signed. We have a brand new pool that is leaking. We have a brand new pool with the wrong diving board jig installed. It has been 2 weeks that my emails have been ignored regarding the diving board, there simply not responding. I cannot get a C/O so I cannot use the pool. They have there contracts worded in a way that you pay them 100% of there money before the pool is completed. They have been out 3 times to investigate the leak it's still leaking. I bet things would be different if we still owed them money. The pool is still leaking I have failed my inspections and we can't use it please helpDesired Settlement: I don't want then to try to take the cheap way out. There is a major leak in the main drain at the bottom of the deep end.
It needs to be excavated to be repaired properly. I will not accept a liquid form of pipe sealing/slip lining. I want it excavated and repaired properly. I want them to be held responsible for any damages to my yard or property they cause when they make the repairs. If they refuse I want a full refund so I can pay someone else to fix it correctly.

I am rejecting this response because:
They were at the property today, suddenly they say there is no leak!!! How did we go from loosing 1200 gallons of water in a 24 hour period to no leak, if no repairs were made? These people must think were stupid. They had there own employee come out on Tuesday July 29th, he spoke to my wife and said there was a leak in the bottom drains. He isolated that section of pipe and installed a plug to stop the leak. We were told a crew was coming out today to locate the leak within that plumbing that was identified on the 29th. After the exact location of the leak was identified we would proceed with a pipe repair. Today a different company came out and said the pool is not leaking. I received a email from Anthony s[redacted] stating the pool is not leaking. That section of pipe that was determined to be leaking by Anthony s[redacted] still has a plug in it!!!! How can you tell me there are no pool leaks if the pipes have plugs in them to prevent a leak. Enough games please, remove the plugs and guess what the pipes will leak. In sending them a email asking them to remove the plugs. I will then mark the water level and see if it drops. This is what I was doing 4 weeks ago. We're back to square one. There needs to be some recourse for there actions.
My husband likes the dark finish of our pool. It's a free-form pool with a sun shelf (which is one of my favorite features). Our project manager was phenomenal. He came out over the weekends to help us out and answer any questions. He was very friendly and knowledgeable.
