This car belongs to my daughter and it has been parked for over two
weeks. I picked her up from the airport yesterday and she took it to a
repair place this morning. The repair place said it was actually the
valve stem that was broken, not the sensor. So I believe the Abbott
Motor people put too much air in the driver front tire and broke the
valve stem on purpose. I do not want me or my family to be retaliated
against however by the owner any more than they already have.

[redacted] arrived promptly on Nov 4, 2014 and diagnosed our residential pool leak quickly. In my opinion, he went above & beyond by not only repairing our existing leak, but by sealing a few similar areas that had the potential to become future leaks. All the while, he educated me by explaining his process. I requested pool refinishing company recommendations and he readily obliged.
Dave returned on Nov 24, 2014 to repair some additional leaks, at no charge under their 30-day guarantee. These were additional leaks and not ones he originally repaired. Very prompt, thorough and courteous again!
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The reason of hiring AMERICAN LEAK DETECTING was to find where there is leak at the house and no other reason.the reason that [redacted] visit my house 3 times is simple. 1st visit, to find the leak. 2nd visit, to show him the big hole in my kitchen, but there is no leak under the marked area according to [redacted]. 3rd visit, after being competley surprise that there was no leak at the marked spot, he checked again, and marked a new spot in the kitchen as the leak spot, the plumber dig again, second hole, but...no leak....and that's EXACLY why [redacted] had to stop by again.just to be clear, after detecting suppose the first leak, I asked [redacted] how much he charge to fix the leak, he told me and wrote on the paper $1300. He advice that the house is old and it will be better to re pipe the whole house, and it will cost $5000.Of course, re pipe is much better solution , but it's also cost a lot of money. I decided to fix the detected leak for the moment in order to avoid keep paying very high water bills, and later on to get more estimates for the re pipe. The respond of [redacted] is not relevant for the reason he came at the first time. His job was to find the leak, and he messed it up twice. It very nice to give a client advice that his motor in his car makes noises, and it will much better to just get brand new car, I think we all know that brand new is better than old and used, but let's not forget the money factor. Before and after, his job was just to find the source of the leak and all the rest is not his job or decision .The leaks spot that was marked by him twice was wrong, and even a person with many years of expireance can make mistakes , but at least to be honest enought to admit it and just to refund the money after all. By the way, I have no idea who is Stephens plumbing, I never hired them, and there was not any other plumbing company at my house beside [redacted] and the plumber that was suppose to fix the leak, so I have no idea where he got this information.

It is possible for a leak to self-seal during testing procedures. It is common for us to return at a continuation rate...
for further testing.
I contacted Mr. [redacted] on 1/14 to discuss the Revdex.com complaint. I asked him if it would be okay for us to refund him the amount of 770.00. He said yes, that he would appreciate that. I told him that we would release the funds today and depending on his bank it would be released back to him within a couple of days. He was satisfied with the response.

Customer purchased vehicle 12/17/13 with 98,259 miles that was accompanied by
NYS Lemon Law Warranty. Customer complaint indicates they brought vehicle to a
Certified Mechanic (not Abbott Motors). However our records show the vehicle
was never scheduled for service nor...
brought back to our service department for
any concern after the sale. Also we have never received any written documents
from any other repair facility regarding any concerns at all. The only
communication is that of the customer harassing one of our employees via txt
message, as well as stating "I am going to spend the rest of my life trying to
ruin your business" and "gonna tell everyone I know that u r crooks" that was
sent via text messaging on March 28th, April 12th & April 15th of 2014. A
return text was sent asking them who this was and to contact our service
department. There was never a response back but the source was discovered through our phone records. Since these statements, our attorney has been
notified of these actions against our reputation and employee. Until now, this
customer has never contacted our dealership and we feel there is no valid reason
for this action regarding their concerns.

The business never told us about the stack until the workers last visit The owner never discuss this with me before his estimate or completion of the work We would of never
had the work done only to have a chance it wouldn't stop the leaks. Why would a company guaranty a job knowing it wasn't going to fixed the problem. Or maybe to get the the consumer to keep paying more money out for the company's mistake.

I provided ALD a timeline of facts, and some aspects in the response are incorrect. Eventually I was able speak with someone who was willing to look at the circumstances. The same day I sent over some facts and support, I received a phone call where I was offered the $350 fee back, conditional upon me agreeing no further amounts are owed. I could not agree to that since I have been damaged by ALD. ALD's quality control supervisor explicitly stated that he was surprised that the leaks were missed by the technician. I believe that's why he called me the same day to offer me a refund.I am not disputing ALD's warranty, the focus of this response. My claim is the fact that the work was not performed correctly in the first place. In fact, I have evidence the technician did not even test a part of the plumbing system to the pool. And there is clear evidence the leaks had been there for a long time - they did not arise recently due to siesmic activity in the area. The existing leaks should have been identified and communicated by ALD. I was damaged because they did not perform the agreed upon service in a technically competent manner, and ALD issued a false report to me (which was used and relied upon in negotiating with sellers of the home).Unfortunately it took over 2 months for anyone to even attempt to discuss this with me after I left many messages. Even the corporate office attempted to have someone call me. Later I found out Charb stated he would take care of it, but yet he also never called me. ALD's work was negligent and was not completed properly. Since they have no interest in settling this with me, I have filed a small claims case.

Revdex.com spoke to service manager, John, and the following was relayed: We have communicated with the customer and explained that we do not have the manpower at this time to get him in and that it would be several weeks before we could get him in. His warranty can be brought anywhere. He can bring it to the [redacted] Dealer and anything the warranty covers will be covered.

American Leak Detection received a call on our After Hours lines on
12/06/14 in regards to a leak detection that was needed on his plaster pool and
spa. The following is the scope of work from that conversation:
PAGER RESIDENTIAL
POOL/SPA DETECTION - Felix spoke with [redacted] to set up an appointment. This is a
pool made in plaster, 1 skimmer, 1 pump, no pop ups and a water fall going from
the spa to the pool. The customer report that this pool was re-plaster and the
empty the pool once, and he noticed 2 cracks (one is a big crack) in the pool,
beside the equipment is not working properly. Please do a complete leak
detection, mark the area and provide estimates for the repairs. The customer is
advised that the pool has to be clean and full at the time of the inspection.
The customer lives in Virginia, there will be nobody at the time at the
inspection so you will have free access to the house, but is you have any
questions you can call [redacted] (Buyer of the house) at [redacted]. Send a work
proposal Quoted $350 CC is on file. MC [redacted] Exp. [redacted].

The detection appointment was set for 12/08/14 between 1-3pm. Our technician arrived on site at 1:03pm and
it took 1 hour for the detection and he finished at 2:04pm. There
was 4 pictures taken to document the service as the technician tested each
area. Our Pool technician tested all the
above and below plumbing (Skimmer Lines, Suction lines & Return Lines) at 15
PSI finding no loss of pressure indicating no leaks on that line. The technician then moved on to perform a
structural test where we use Dye through a hypodermic needles with florescent
dye to find structure leaks. The skimmer
throat, structure of the pool and the previously patched area finding the areas did not suck in any dye indicating no leaks.
The technician went every further and ran the equipment which normally
we usually only check the above/below plumbing and the structure of the
pool/spa. The technician continue to try
to identify any problems and to make sure everything was tested, so he even ran
the equipment: heater, jet pump, air blower and circulation pump which all were
working proper at that time. The following is the Result of the leak detection:
[redacted] ($350)
12/08/14 POOL SPA DETECTION – Dan performed a leak detection on the pool and
spa. The technician tested the plumbing at 15 PSI, finding no plumbing leaks at
this time. The technician dye tested the skimmer, finding no leaks. The
technician inspected the patched areas of the pool, finding nothing wrong with
them. The technician ran the pool and spa equipment: heater, jet pump, air
blower, and circulation pump, finding all of them to work. (TN)

These results come with a guarantee behind them. Our guarantee is to retest at anytime within
30 days. Leak detection is not an exact science
so American Leak Detection gives a guarantee with all there work. There is an expiration date with all of our
guarantees stated on the invoice.
Our Technician [redacted] is a Senior Pool technician and has work for
American Leak Detection for 15 years (Start Date 2000). Our owner owns 7 franchises since 1985 and he
has over 38 years experience which is mentioned because the complaint stated
concerns about our experience level. All
Pool technician go through a 3 year training program and after that 3rd
years they get tested and if they pass, gets approved to become a
technician.
The homeowner did contact our office at the end of February and at this
point it was over 70 days from the leak detection. We are only following our rules and policies
stated on every invoice as “Term and Guarantee” of the service. This policy has
been in effect since 1985 and is explained on every call that every detection
comes with a 30 days guarantee. The reason we can only guarantee detection for
30 days is due to we are in a very seismic area with earth movements every day
(maintenance issues, Wear and Tear, 3 earthquakes near Southern California (1/28/15, 01/16/15
& 02/08/15) and 30 days is plenty of enough time to know if
a pool detection or the service that was provided is accurate. With the managers approval I am authorized to
exceed the guarantee for 15 additional days from the date of service. We understand that people’s lives are very
busy and we are not here to take advantage of customer only provide great
service. When we get a call over 70 days
from the date of the detection, unfortunately there is our company policy that
I have to follow. This is why we make
sure our customers know this and it is stated on every invoice.
A email of the report with the results and guarantees for the service on
12/09/14 at 4:27pm with the same pictures attached to this letter. The
homeowner acknowledged that he read the invoice report on 12/10/14 at 7:17am
because he replied back to our email because he had some additional questions after reading the email. At this time there is no way that the
homeowner did not see or was not aware of our guarantee on 12/10/14 at 7:17am. I do
emphasize with the homeowners situation, but I can not go against my companies
30 year policy. Our guarantee is stated below and seems to be pretty self
explanatory:

Mr [redacted] purchased his truck on October 3, 2016. The customer came in on Wed. July 5, 2017 to our service dept. schedule appt. for diagnosis of check engine light and returned for diagnosis on Friday July 7. At that time it was determined the vehicle needed extensive repairs and we...
informed the customer it would be a couple of weeks before our schedule would accommodate this repair and that he could take his vehicle to any licensed repair shop and his extended warranty would possibly cover the repair. At that time the customer said he would wait for us, well knowing we were understaffed and overbooked and that repairs would need to be approved through warranty company which could take several days. At that time Mr. [redacted] opted to leave the vehicle with us and did not want to drive. He called on July 12 to check up on progress but again was told our schedule was previously booked and we couldn't service as of yet. Customer decided then to pick up vehicle for his personal use until our schedule allowed servicing. He has since brought back his vehicle on July 24, as our schedule allowed and work has been started. During this event there were several calls made to me the owner in which I reiterated to Mr. [redacted] the position of our service dept. being understaffed due to vacations and backlog and he should continue to check with John our Service Mgr. to get updates of scheduling if he chooses to wait.
I purchased a 06 dodge durango 3 weeks after purchased I needed brake pads said they werent covered under warranty had a flat tire tried to use spare and it wasnt right size rim.

We were called out to the home of Mrs. [redacted] after she called our office. She explained to our office that she was going to remodel and wanted this repaired prior to remodeling. Sonar did indicate a leak in her kitchen. After locate and shutting off the hot water valve we found the water...
meter to still be running. We rechecked the home and sound for a possible cold water leak. This sound was indicated at the same location for the hot water leak. ( This is not unusual). I explained to Mrs. [redacted] on this first trip that the sound was not very good and as she was going to remodel her kitchen, I did advise her to repipe this line overhead and not to repair this leak. It would be easy to do at this time. She called her plumber back, he opened another small hole and the leak was not there. I returned, and rechecked the sound with this being a few feet to the east, with the ground wet below the second hole. I advised her again to have her plumber repipe overhead as this line is in gravel and the entire line may be faulty. Her plumber again opened another location with a small hole and found mud. I returned again, with the sound continuing at this location. This leak could have been under the kitchen sink with the sound. She was advised (third time) to cut and cap this line to indicate if the leak is under the kitchen sink or toward the bathroom before any more jackhammering was done. Advised her highly to reroute this line overhead and her plumber agreed. (The plumber was in a regular truck with no license number on this truck, so unsure of him being a licensed plumber). She called our office within a couple of days requesting her money back. I explained to her I had been out to her home three times, and my time was as important as hers was, so I would refund her a part of her payment, however she refused. I explained that I had advised her on the first trip to reroute this line and this was not done. When the lines are in gravel it is better to reroute the entire line.(She told the office Stephens Plumbing had been out the first time. She was not using this plumbing company to repair this leak.)Thank you[redacted]
Revdex.com spoke to Mike at the business and the following was relayed and clarified: The customer was charged for the original work done in replacing sensor. We did repaint at no cost and blended it in. After sensor issue returned, we did test and diagnose the vehicle at no cost to customer, and identified the originating issue.

After receiving the complaint on Wednesday I called Mr. [redacted] on Thursday morning. I apologized for our lack of service and asked Mr. [redacted] how we could make it right. Mr. [redacted] replied that he feels he deserves his money back. I...
told him I agreed with him and said that I would refund in full his payment of $295.00. Mr. [redacted] said he thought that was fair.
I then asked Mr. [redacted] since he thought the settlement was fair would he object to contacting the Revdex.com to let them know the matter had been resolved. He said he would be happy to contact the Revdex.com. That was the end of our conversation.
Talked to customer, vehicle is not under a dealer warranty. Customer wants us to proceed with repairs to the vehicle. They understand they will be responsible for repairs not covered by their existing extended warranty. The customer also understands we are providing the best possible care...
regarding their vehicle.
