The store's response is basically the same as they sent to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, except they added the first sentence stating "AMERICAN FREIGHT will not deal in manipulation and vengeance!".... that's EXACTLY what they DO!!! They try to manipulate the consumer, especially anyone who has a complaint, and their vengeance is that they will not compensate a customer after they deliver damaged goods and try to bully them into accepting a measly store credit which is basically useless.I am forwarding to you a copy of my reply to the store's response to the FL. When a customers complaint is of such revenge.....this shows the public what kind of person Susan, Thomas and Duane had to deal with. When a customer starts out on the phone screaming foul language at you, becomes so aggressive and frightening you must let go of the call and this customer still...
continues to repeatedly call the store and corporate office repeating the same behavior...this shows the public what kind of person Susan, Thomas and Duane had to deal with. This customer was given a $100 discount on her deal and this customer received a free lamp (NOT CHEAP LAMPS) though this was not mentioned. This customer had delivery twice not three times. The first delivery our sub-contracting delivery team brought in the wrong piece, the second was a morning delivery, requested by customer. This customer never answered her phone for the delivery team after being called 17 times by the store and corporate office so our deliver team went on. Susan, Thomas and Duane were able to get our sub-contracting delivery team to go back out that same afternoon and at 2:00 and her correct furniture was delivered. SPECIAL NOTE: Ms. [redacted] never answered her phone for this delivery ether but our delivery team went to her house anyway where her children were home and she was not, though told us she was. I Susan say Ms. [redacted] was very much helped, treated fairly and was given extra customer service, $100 off and a free lamp, mistakes happen but American Freight rectified it, did all they could and gave more!! This complaint should actually show the kinds of customers we must deal with from time to time. AMERICAN FREIGHT DOES NOT DEAL WITH VENGENCE AND WE WISH NOT TO DO BUSINESS WITH MS. [redacted] AGAIN!!
Our Regional Manager has spoken to this customer:....The customer will be keeping the merchandise that she purchased.
Ms. Finns husband came and picked it up at the store and brought the old one back. Ms. Finn was never told she was to get a refund too, she has been replaced!!

Nathan our Regional Manager called and spoke to the customer after leaving a voicemail which was returned. We do offer several options in the 7pc package and have them in the store for purchase. She purchased a sofa that wasn't included in the...
package and expected the tables and lamps at no cost because of confusion on the ad. Upon reaching her after her complaint, we offered the customer the 4710 pierce tables at not cost she didn't agree or disagree and stated that she would be in touch.
Sent this out yesterday 3/1/2016.
AF went ahead and replaced the customer out with a brand new set.
We apologize for this inconvenience and will tag this refund for a rush. There is a 7 to 14 business day policy to process through our accounting department.... nonetheless we will rush and we will Fed-X this customers refund
my couch was not delivered, and we received no calls about a delivery. They did call us Sunday, Tuesday, and Wednesday and they said they would deliver it...
on three different occasions. Again, we still do not have out couch or any idea of when it will arrive. We also would like compensation for the 2 months and counting we've been waiting for our couch.
On the receipt it says on defective furniture the original bill of sale is needed for a exchange or return. It does not say the sale is final on defective furniture. I have talked directly to [redacted] Upholstery (the manufacturer of the couch) and they issued a refund to American Freight for the a[redacted] they paid them for the couch, not a replacement. I do not want a replacement for my couch because it is inferior workmanship and horrible fabric that would just do the same thing in a couple of months and I would not have any warranty then to cover it. I sent you copies of the bill of sale for you to read. They want me to pay them 95.00 to come get their defective furniture and I don't feel I should be responsible to return their defective product, they need to come get it and issue a full refund. I bought the extended warranty on the couch because they said it would cover anything and everything for five years. They misrepresented the warranty because it only covers accidental issues, not manufacturers defects! Please help me with this issue. Their furniture is a piece of junk. I have bought a lot of furniture in my life and never ever had problems like this. We are an elderly couple and were in Florida for three months after we bought the couch. I received the couch 12/22/14 and we were gone until March. The couch has barely been sat on and it is coming apart at the seams and the material is balling all up. The manufacturers phone number is ###-###-####. They issued the refund around the 9 th of September to American Freight for the defective couch! Please help me as I have read several reviews on how bad American Freight is on customer service after the sale. I have been hung up on, calls and emails unanswered and told several different stories from American Freight, that is why I went directly to the manufacturer to get the truth as to what was done by them. Thank you very much for your help with this matter.
We have no records of calls from this customer into our Corporate Office. Our store cannot communicate with this customer, he become aggressive and foul. The supposed damage done by the sub contracted Delivery Crew is their responsibility and they are insured for this possible damage. CONTACT INFO: [redacted] This company is insured. Our VP called this customer and customer is willing to wait for the furniture. If this furniture does not become available in the next 2 weeks we will be happy to refund this customer.
I'm getting no where with this company. It's clear by their lack of professionalism with the amount of exclamation marks after everything. It took numerous attempts for them to get this slightly correct and they still sent me things I didn't need which they aren't addressing. If they are saying nothing took place in regards to the harassment why would [redacted], the employee in question be reprimanded?
Ms. [redacted] has filed a complaint with American Signature but our records are showing she does not have an invoice with our stores. After reviewing Ms. [redacted]’s complaint I am showing she was intending to file a complaint with American Freight Furniture. In order to have Ms. [redacted] complaint...

I spoke with the customer and apologized for all of the issues we put her through....they are delivering her out a new recliner today and she is happy.

I did not receive anything from them and I would like to know who signed for my things. I moved from [redacted] in 2014 in the month of June day 1. I will be faxing over my receipts of the guy who I paid in full for my things. I would also like to see some for of documentation showing that I requested my things to be delivered.
Messages were absolutely placed on voice mails explaining piece was in with no return response. We gave free delivery after customer began to be disrespectful/bully our employees. Delivery was made today........NOBODY WAS AT THE HOUSE........DELIVERY CREW HAD CALLED BEFORE COMING OUT TO THIS CUSTOMERS HOUSE TO MAKE SURE SOMEONE WAS GOING TO BE THERE.....CUSTOMER SAID YES. DELIVERY CREW GET TO THE HOUSE AND THERE IS NO ONE HOME.....CREW WAITED FOR 1/2 HOUR.....SO CREW PUT DELIVERY UNDER THE ROOF COVERED PORCH!!!!
