Hello, I’m very sorry to hear about your in store experience regarding this gift cardI do see that you contacted our corporate office on 1/11/and 1/12/According to the records of your call, our teammate did verify the funds were still available on the gift card and offered to transfer the balance to a new gift card and mail that out for you, however you were unwilling to provide an address to send the gift cardThe statement was made to our corporate teammate that you have contacted the police and would prefer to take us to court rather than receive a new gift cardWe have tried to correct this for you, but since you will not help us to help you, there is nothing more we can do at this timeAEO will not compensate you for $in this matterIf you would like to contact our corporate office and provide an address where we may send the $gift card, we will be happy to resolve this

Hello, I’m very sorry for your experience regarding this orderAnytime an order is submitted, a pre-authorization hold is placed on the credit or debit card used for the transactionPayment is not collected or finalized until all merchandise in an order has been shippedIf an order is cancelled or unable to be processed for any reason, the authorization hold is automatically released by AEO in 7-business daysThe order does show it was cancelled and the order total is $Unfortunately since this order was cancelled there is not an authorization code or any other information we are able to provide for further assistance with your bankWe are unable to issue a refund because the funds were never collected for the transaction due to the cancellationI can only recommend filing a dispute with your bank or credit card company if they have not released the funds back to you

Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: Regards, M [redacted] My Contract with Chuck at Miami Tan Westlake Village, CA clearly states that it was a month Special, for $a monthI signed up for the Special on 9/27/14, but told Chuck I was leaving on vacation the month of October and to start the MONTH SPECIAL (discounted to $99/month) the end of OctoberIn fact Chuck, the owner, who signed me up, UNDERLINED the MONTH and put the dates at the top of the contract 10/28, 11/& 12/INDICATING WHEN that he would charge my credit cardHe is trying to excuse his overcharge by saying it was a membership fee, for $?? It was an advertised DISCOUNTED special for MONTHS @ $99/MONTH, not MONTHS SPECIAL at a discounted price and not an agreement for any ongoing membership AT THE DISCOUNTED PRICEWhy would he charge me for the month of October, when I told him I would be gone and did not want it started until I returned at the end of October???? My BofA Credit Card Company investigated the overcharge, came to the conclusion that he had overcharged me on my Contract and refunded the 4th payment, I had not agree to in any other contract than this monthHe has had more than one disgruntled customer regarding money mattershe has reported my $to Equifax and I am in the process of clearing it with themReally Chuck, are you this hard up for $99!! While it is true that I have had issues with recieving packages from american eagle in the past, I do not feel that they provide sufficient security option for deliveryI inquired about purchasing insurance and requesting a signiture at time of delivery, before I even placed the order in questionThe customer service rep that I spoke to said "dont worry about it we gaurantee delivery or your money back"This was of course after I disclosed what had happened with my previous orderIf the option was available I would have purchased extra securtiy features for my package

Having said that, you may return the shirt to your local store; you do not need a receipt.... If the purchase was made online you can access your invoice in your purchase history in your ae.com account, or the store can look up the transaction through your AEO Connected account. If neither of these options are available, the store will issue a gift card for the current selling price of the item.
