Promised rates from initial contract and set up a new contract in a different city where new contract details were not disclosed properly by sales rep
Had service in *** *** Started at $52/month for Pulse and rate was dropped in to $24/month since I was a loyal customerMoved to *** and set up a new serviceI was promised the same rate by sales rep Shaun *** I told him what I was looking to do and he said no problem everything will stay the same and he handed me iPad to sign and pay $for debitThis is the only information that showed on the iPadFirst bill came and the rate was $45+I called corporate headquarters multiple times in DecemberThey told me I was in a new year contract, they told me initially rate could not be changedCalled multiple times in December only to be bounced around to different reps and mangersFinally spoke to someone at corporate customer care and was told rate could be adjusted to $About a month went by and I conta

It is with extreme disappointment that I send this email requesting immediate cancellation of serviceMy service was installed less than an hour ago and I must say that the Technician sent to install was horribleWhen I agreed to the service, I was told that I would receive items that were not provided at the time of installThe technician also informed my husband that he would not mount the keypad due to there being a $mounting fee??? Unfortunately I was in a meeting at work during the install and therefore limited in what could be done to resolve this matter
My husband then offered to pay the $fee, and the technician told him he was unable to do it after all because he had another job in Bolingbrook and did not have the hardware either wayThe keypad was left on my floor, pictures below
There was also an authorized charge to my credit cardI called the Corporate Office, to voice my concern and was told there was nothing that can be done
I am writing as I was told a email had to be sent in order to cancelPlease accept this as my formal notice of cancellation notice
This is by far the worse experience I have encountered as a consumerBased on this experience, I would not recommend ADT Companies to anyone, EVER

Worse possible experience I have ever had with a service company ever
From the start to finish from the sales call to the installation day, not one piece of information was accurate or trueADT just trying to make a quick sale

We were incorrectly charged for a service call Never told there was a fee The service guy noticed that our alarm (years with ADT) hadn't actually been monitored at allIt was just a local alarm Also found out we had been overcharged for years So we were paying and not actually being monitored I had multiple calls to at least get the $service charge back That took nearly a month I was promised it would go out, then two weeks later a corporate person called and told me no notes said this and they would need to investigateThat is obviously their system to just get me to drop it I wasn't going to let them do that He went back and reviewed only a couple calls where he agreed we were wrongfully charged, but still wouldn't refund the money I was told by managers they would refund that full amount - I also double checked that it

I called today to make an appointment to install ADT due to the unsafetiness in in this crime invested area Already, I have been burglarize every time I go to the washer to do laundry, pay a bill or the seasons change for clothing But, shoes are cut or stolen I live alone, so my daughter does not have a key I need to live in safety and knowing my personal property is protedted However, Agent Louise at the ADT number: XXXXXXXXXXX said I do not qualitfy, because of my credit score By contrast, two months ago, I called and they did not ask these questions for a SSI number to get the background check on credit I need protection from the outside world, I like to know if the Credit Check is the question are essential for the the use of this ADT service Or, am I being interrupted by Cyberbulling cause this "Stalker" does not want me to have privacy!

I have had ADT service since July I have had nothing but issues with the devices and customer serviceFirst, they release their services to a licensed dealerThere in lies the major problemDefender One is one of their licensed dealers and therefore whatever issues or concerns the customer has, neither company will directly deal with the customer but tries to avoid concerns or issues by dumping the customer back and forthThe last time I spoke with a representative, *** ID# XXXXX, she had promised that if we continued to have issues with the devices installed in our home after this last "repair", then we would be reimbursed for the months paid and released from the contract without any penalty or fees associated with early terminationI have left messages with *** since then to terminate the services since ADT/Defender One continues to fail provide adequate servicesThis has been since November and a month later, no return callThe company states there are notes in the customer's file when calls and repairs, concerns are documentedDoes no quality improvement committee or department not notice how many issues we have had? Unfortunately, there is no option to leave a star review for this company They stand for protection, as one of the best on the market, yet they lie and make promises over the phone just to get into your home so they can charge you twice as much as they quoted you over the phoneHow do you trust a company that has no integrity to protect you in the time of needThey told me I was getting a rate of $for a cellular connection over the phone and told me that landlines are outdated technology, however when they came over and already started installing the system, they told me my rate would be $after I asked to confirm it They are supposedly going to investigate the call where their rep and a manager confirmed a $rate for me but only to take disciplinary action, not to help me outThe manager I called to have this discussion with was rude, said she couldn't help me and encouraged me to cancel I called the ADT corporate number and they said that was Protect Your Home ADT retailer and while they provide monitoring and own the account, I still need to talk to Protect Your Home During the set up, the tech accidentally set off the alarm and the police showed upminutes later Both the tech and police said it wasn't up to them why it took so long It is sad that this is one of the top security systems available I wonder what others are like when this company operates like a basement run operationI will be disconnecting my service in two days before it's too late

*** My alarm has been beeping every seconds , I contacted reliance protection customer service - twice asking for assistance I can not remove the cover on the smoke alarm and called to ask what type of battery do I need once the cover is removed or if the cover can't be removed after great effort, how do I replace the entire smoke alarm?
