[redacted] My alarm has been beeping every seconds , I contacted reliance protection customer service - twice asking for assistance I can not remove the cover on the smoke alarm and called to ask what type of battery do I need once the cover is removed or if the cover can't be removed after great effort, how do I replace the entire smoke alarm? Since I no longer have a contract with this company , the technician said he can't help me, even tho they installed the alarm systemHe told me to go to Canadian tire and figure it out I asked to speak to a manager , he said no Flat out noI was a customer for years , always paid monthly fee on time I called for assistance and was spoken to rudely , told to go somewhere else since I wasn't under contract with them and then hung up on after he said I could NOT sowak woth a manager

Originally wanted to cancel when I sold my house was tricked and strong armed in to signing a contract at my new house. Even though I wanted to cancel I called and asked to cancel at my old house and they said I could transfer my contract or possible have the new owners finish it out. Then by a forceful salesman I was told that was not true. I have been double charged multiple times and I was told I would get a Nest thermostat which was never given and today they tried to charge me for it again. This company has done nothing but over charge and force me into extending contracts. I just want to be done with their service and them as I originally wanted with the sale of my last house. I cancelled my service today and of course they continually gave me their threat of their cancellation fee which they are going to charge me no matter what because we are moving in 60 days and your only option when you move is to cancel there is no transfer. I AGREED TO A YEAR CONTRACT WITH ADT SECRITY SERVICESANOTHER INDIVIDUAL SIGNED MY NAME TO A YEAR AGREEMENT WITH ADT I AGREED TO A YEAR CONTRACT FOR HOME SECURITY WITH ADT IN JUNE OF I WAS NOT PROVIDED WITH A COPY OF MY SIGNED CONTRACT AT THE TIME OF INSTALLATION AND IT NEVER ARRIVED DESPITE SEVERAL REQUESTSMY AGREEMENT SHOULD HAVE EXPIRED JULY OF MY CREDIT CARD CONTINUED TO BE BILLED THROUGH AUGUST OF WHEN IT EXPIREDI HAVE ALREAWDY PUT THIS IN DISPUTE WITH MASTERCARDI WAS FINALY ABLE TO REACH SOMEONE IN THE FRAUD UNIT WHO SENT ME AN AFFIDAVIT OF FORGERY TO COMPLETE AND RETURN WITH MY SIGNATURE NOTARIZEDADDITIONAL DOCUMENTS WERE ALSO REQUESTED AND RETURNED, ALL WERE SENT VIA CERRTIFIED MAILADT IS NOW STATING THE CONTRACT IS VALID WITHOUT MY SIGNATURE AND I RECEIEVED AN INVOICE FOR $ON 4/7/I WAS INTRUCTED BY ADT TO FOLLOW UP WITH DEFENDERS DIRECT IN INDIANAI HAVE DONE SO AND THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO ASSIST ME AND ARE NOT RETURNING MY CALLS

ADT withdrew money directly from my bank account without my consent and upon multiple calls, has been negligent in refunding my money I terminated my service with ADT due to their deceptive sales tactics when starting my account and was told that I would receive an invoice for the early terminationWhen I cancelled the service, I said that I would be paying it in installments and was told that was fineThen ADT, without my permission, withdrew the full amount directly from my bank accountWhen I called to complain, they agreed to issue a refund and I was told it would be back in my account in 1-daysIt has now been a week, I have called different times and I've been told that they have issued the refund and yet my bank has no record of thisI have incurred multiple fees as well as medical issues due to stress regarding this issue and I can't even speak of the hardship this has placed on my family

The company is not an easy company to work with on technical issues, billing or contracts They will NOT work with you if you are under contract and threaten legal issues

Do not choose ADT as your home security provider They offer the WORST customer serviceThe radio signal connected to my system has been malfunctioning two weeks after installationWe've made four appointments for ADT and Defender (a company that sells their product) to come out and fix the issue and nobody has shown upDo you know the ADT commercial that shows a customer (from a competitor I'm assuming) calling to report a breand is put on hold? It's actually not a competitor but ADT themselves who put people on hold! I bet if those of us who post negative reviews put together all the money ADT has stolen from us we could afford a PSA to post on television urging people not to sign up with them
