A1 Sewer and Drain scheduled a next day appointment to have someone look at my water heater. Chris B. was courteous and professional. He explained the problem to me did the needed repairs.

Returned from vacation late at night to a toilette that would not flush. Called A1 Sewer and Drain and was scheduled for between 8:00 and 10:00 the next morning. They offered to come out that night but we declined to save the emergency fee. Chris was here at 8:30 AM and by 8:35 the toilette was operational. I had used a plunger for hours but Chri had a specialized toilette auger that he described as a plunger on steroids, which it surely was. I mentioned that we had a new water heater that we would need to connect to the gas line and would probably call in a few days for that, but since we paid for the first hour and he only needed 5 minutes to fix the toilette, he said he would connect up the water heater at no charge, and did so in about 15 minutes. He also gave some helpful advice about a tub fixture we are planning to replace. Chris was knowledgeable, efficient, and extraordinarily helpful in his willingness to go the extra mile. It was just fun to watch a man work who is so good at what he does -- no lost motion and all the right tools, working hard and fast. Also very polite and personable. He is clearly a real asset to the company for which he works. We could not be more pleased.

JB was so helpful and friendly! He was very knowledgeable on how to care for, fix, and upgrade our cast iron pipes. Should we have another plumbing need, we will definitely be using him and A1 Sewer & Drain again.

Had a main sewage line backup discovered last Saturday morning. A1 came out that morning and cleared the line with great service!!! This Sunday evening the backup came back and A1 came out, discovered the problem was out at the street, contacted the city, waited til they arrived and made sure the line was clear after the city techs did their thing and didn't end up leaving til almost 11pm. After working ALL day, you'd think by 8, 9, 10, 11pm you'd get a little grumpy, impatient, ready to go home. But my tech, Jon x #37 was extremely friendly, helpful, and professional! Also my A1 tech last week, Justin, equally great!! I Highly recommend A-1

Chris B was straight-forward and courteous and he fixed our leaking pipe above the water heater in less than one hour. Thank you.

Had a couple of leaks for which I really wanted same-day service. The person on the phone (whose name I didn't catch) was very friendly and helpful. She was able to schedule Justin to come in just a couple of hours -- early afternoon. Justin was very personable, explained what he found wrong and what he needed to do. He fixed the leaks at that time and answered all of my questions -- all for a reasonable price. I'll be scheduling another appointment with them very soon to get some other work done that I need to get done.

Very pleased with the service Justin *** provided repairing a stopped up sink and leaking tub faucet. Justin explained what was being done, was very courteous and left the work place clean. Many thanks for a job well done.

My tank less, gas water heater that also ran our baseboard heating stopped working. I called the company that was listed as the installers on the front of the heater... they came out and loosely quoted me 10-12K to replace. Freaked me out. I started researching, the original company couldn't get a real quote to me the next day, I was not impressed. I googled tank less gas water heaters installers locally and sorted by best reviews. A-1 had almost 500 of reviews and rated a 4.8. I called and immediately felt better. They were kind, and kept their word to call me back. I had a quote that day and went with them as they were thousands (yes thousands less). The technician specialist, Justin came out and was here all day and did a fantastic job, very professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We had a slight hitch and it was addressed and taken care of immediately. Considering the unexpected expense and slight panic of no hot water for several days (while I made these decisions), working with A-1 was super easy and stress free! I will call them from now on for any of our plumbing needs and will recommend them to anyone who asks! (I never did get that other quote, smh).

The technician came to Newport News, detected the leak, and fixed it. So extremely happy the leak wasn't underneath the slab of my house! Great service! 10/10!!!

I called A1 to have a new faucet installed in my master bathroom. The scheduling process went well and the plumber, Justin, was here just when he said he would be. The whole process was painless, professional and thorough. I highly recommend A1 for any of your plumbing needs.

I have been using A1 Sewer & Drain for a while now, and I am consistently pleased with their prices as well as their work. Today JB came out to fix my sink and while he was there he pointed out something that I might like to look into in the future. The house is over 60 years old and some of the piping starting to corrode on the inside. There was no pressure, he was just giving me information, but it is something I am so glad that he pointed it out to me so I can take care of it before I have a big problem on my hands.

It is so nice to have a company that I can trust.

A couple of weeks ago we had an upstairs bath tub leak that was causing a ceiling stain in your kitchen. J.B. came out and quickly analyzed the problem. As he was working the problem, he explained exactly what he was doing and why and it really put my mind at ease. he did and excellent job of eliminating the tub leaks.

Well, imagine my surprise when two weeks later our kitchen sink backed up and I called A-1 Sewers and Drain again and J.B. was my maintenance man. I explained the problem to him and he quickly identified where the issue was and then started attacking the problem. He ended up cutting out a four foot section of PVC piping under the house in the crawl space and pulled out a section of pipe that was filling up solid and really needed to be replaced. He worked quickly and efficiently nothing less than what I would have expected of a true professional.

A-1 Sewers and Drains are in my speed dial now and I will always use then along as I live here.

I don't remember my plumbers name but he came out to our house in Newport News on Jan 16. He did an excellent job, very friendly.

JB (Justin B.) was very quick, efficient, and knowledgeable. He is also a very kind and professional individual to talk to. He's been here before and it is always an overall pleasant experience. Have used the service before and will use A-1 again.
It was also very quick after placing my initial call before a technician (J. B.) arrived at the house. He quickly described what the issue was with the wax ring and what he would do before performing the work. He kept the work area and path to it clean throughout the fix.

Our issue is with the existing pipes in our garage (quest pipes).We've used A1 several times now.Communication 5, promptness 5, cost, reasonable, service tech (Dewrel), pleasant.

The response to my clogged toilet was quick and the assigned plumber was friendly and professional. The cost of the repair was provided before the service was performed and was reasonable. The problem was solved quickly and to my satisfaction. I would recommend this company and will use them again.
