Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Dear Revdex.com,
If you review the screen shot which we uploaded during the time ZocDoc provided us service, you can clearly see that we were not listed on ZocDoc’s search anywhere near the top. Only after we filed a formal complaint did they look into this issue. We requested a refund and to cancel our account. As with all typical companies which run sales scams, they canceled our account and kept our 3,000 dollars. I have never seen a legitimate company that does not refund its customers if they are not satisfied with the service.
WARNING TO DOCTORS, PLEASE READ ALL COMPLAINTS ON Revdex.com AND USE YOUR BETTER JUDGMENT BEFORE FALLING INTO THIS SCAM.
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

I just started using Zoc Doc a few weeks ago and out of the 3 times I have had two negative experiences. I was referred to my PCP and was told to sign up, especially because he had worked with my insurance - ZD was misleading because it said it didn't take it, but his office did once I called. Once that got taken care of, everything was great and he was very, very, very helpful.
Before choosing him, I contacted another potential provider, clicked on my insurance option, booked the appointment for location I needed - and I immediately got a call saying that I had to cancel the appointment because that location didn't carry my insurance. The phrase they used was "they were working towards carrying that insurance in that location". I was immediately cancelled.
This last time - I booked an appointment on referral of my PCP who let me know that there were some openings on his Zoc Doc. I got the appointment, confirmed it, rescheduled my day and found coverage and went in the freezing cold. I got there and was told that my appointment did not exist because I was supposed to call and confirm with the actual office itself.
ZocDoc's response time was great in both instances - but how many gift cards can I get or emails saying this is a rare occurrence before it starts to be the norm? I was told that I don't have to confirm the appointment, but the office said I did. There is a huge systemic misinformation gap and patients are paying the price with situations like this. It's bad business, especially wihen it boils down to health...

ZocDoc

I set up an appointment with this physician through zocdoc. Well it turns out the doctor is utilizing fraudulent advertising practices to bait patients to her office. She has BCBS of IL listed on her Zocdoc profile (which she used to conduct all patient booking) as well as on her practice's website. When I went to see her she appeared to be the only person working in the office, she also does her own billing apparently.
I showed her my insurance information and she assured be that she accepted it (aka told me I was covered). After my "examination" (which consisted of using and IPHONE 4 flashlight application to look down my throat - gross), she asked me if I could just "chase quick pay" her. I don't have [redacted] quick pay, so I said no. So she pulled out a Square (a personal card reader) and told me paying by card was fine. She took my card and swiped it without even telling me what the total was. By the time the transaction had gone through she then told me the total, a whopping $320 for NOTHING but a minimal physical exam. I asked her what exactly I was being charged that amount for and she refused to tell me or give me an itemized bill. She also refused to file a claim with my insurance provider (BCBSIL).
I was horrified. I immediately contacted BCBS to ask how I'm supposed to file a claim without a bill and they told me that she is not listed ANYWHERE in their database. So she lied about being a provider. I've since contacted her 5x to ask for a bill or itemized receipted and she refused/played dumb (she actually send me a bullet-point list of "services" and thought that would suffice) and now is flat out ignoring me. I sent her a formal request via mail demanding that she provide a bill to me as it is my right as a patient under HIPAA. I still have not received anything.
I've posted a negative review of my experience on Zocdoc and the the review was promptly disabled. I've contact Zocdoc multiple times about my experience and how I was ripped off and they refuse to offer any sort of help in solving this issue. Even after verifying with BCBS that she is not a provider, her profile on Zocdoc is still allowed to display the false information , which goes COMPLETELY against Zocdoc's policy.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by ZocDoc regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because: I was contacted on Friday 4/**/2014 and I left a message to speak with [redacted] this morning and am waiting a call back to see if we can resolve issue
