Stay far away from World Wide vacations.
This company is 100% fraud. Nick is useless. We booked a condo at the Newport Marriot Villas through this company. Flew from Utah to find they had never booked our condo and the resort was completely booked. Nick gave us the run around for over 6 hours saying he was “vigorously working” to remedy our situation then finally blamed it on Covid. It’s August 2023. This company took thousands from us and did nothing to rectify the situation. 7 of us are now sitting in a random hotel room try g to figure out our next step
Stay far away from World Wide vacations.

This company failed to mention the minimum age requirement when I signed my agreement so now I have vacations I can't use.
I tried to book a vacation twice now from the package I purchased. The first time I was told I could only do domestic locations because my partner of myself were not of the age of 30. We settled for Puerto Rico... This year he turned 30 so we tried to book international to Cabo only to be told the resort wouldn't allow us because since I'm not 30 yet, my partner NOW has to be 35!! This package originally expires in 3 years from purchase date. This year due to COVID takes off another year of no international travel. They extended to 5 years but I no longer want anything to do with them and would like a refund for the remaining amount of unused packages... They're trying to refuse due to signed agreement, but I UNKNOWINGLY signed agreeing to the age stipulation which now makes the contract void.

Desired Outcome

Refund for the remaining amount of unused packages.

World Wide Vacations Response • Jun 23, 2020

We apologize for any inconvenience. We do go over the qualifications when you purchase, and we will have our quality assurance review those recordings. I show that you have used a portion of the package and we do have other options for you to travel which you declined. We have also extended the time to use the package if you would like to use it at a later time.

I've continuously had to "settle" for other vacations that I didn't want originally because of my age. I don't want to continue to use it or deal with you all. I'm fine booking my own vacations so just refund me so we can part ways...

World Wide Vacations Response • Jun 24, 2020

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately we will not be able to issue a refund being that you use a portion of your package. Your package will not have an expiration date and you can use it at your leisure. We look forward to traveling you and your family.

Sales agent lied and said my husband had agreed to the extension of our package at an $900 cost. My husband was adamant NO to them.
On May 20th two high pressure sales agents called me and tried to get me to extend a vacation package that I said I could not afford nor would my husband agree. I told them I would only do if my husband agreed and so they called him at work. My husband spoke to them and told them timeshares are a scam and we are not interested in renewing or extending unless it was free. He tried to say so we will renew for a year and was told no and that he was going to check on the company with the fraud unit and speak to his wife to call the next day.

The sales guy then called me back and saw my husband agreed to extend for $600 usd . My husband was trying to call me but this sales guy called me 1st. I then gave him my credit card and right after my husband got through to say give them NO money ever.

The sales rep lied to me and stole our money $900. The bank won't reverse it even though we called minutes later because we have them the credit card number.

We spoke to two agents , a man and a woman and called both numbers back but of course they don't answer .

We have a full confirmation of the order but will never use the services and I was tricked into agreeing.

Invoice *** paid by *** number may 20th 14:52 $609.99 USD

We are already out $2500 , which was supposed to be $1000 previously. They tout that they are Revdex.com B+ rated so we amazed how deceitful this has been.

Desired Outcome

I need this fraudulently received order cancelled immediately Invoice number*** An immediate cancellation or refund of $609.99 USD

World Wide Vacations Response • May 21, 2020

We apologize for any inconvenience. We have spoke to the sales agent and there may have been some misunderstanding. We have issued a full refund and the package will go back to the original expiration date.

I still have not received any refund or credit to my ***. the purchase is still pending on Visa for $871.59 CDN.

Please issue a refund transaction now

World Wide Vacations Response • May 22, 2020

The refund was issued yesterday, it can take anywhere from 3-5 business days to reflect on you statement. I have attached a copy of the refund receipt.

Pushy sales tactics that leave out information to convince a customer to buy. They expect YOU to know what to ask them v. being up front
I purchased my first package on 2/2018 for $1508.99 from Kelly, Joelle and Sharon (Sales, Supervisor and Legal), never took a vacation in first year. In the 2019 I started getting an obscene amount of calls for which I finally answered and wish now I would have never and just blocked the phone number. The call started out fine with low pressure but by the end of it the sales person 'Chris' (whose real name is Brian) had pulled out all the stops to get me to update. He 'spoke to the owner' to get me the deal he was offering and never once was fully transparent to all the details, I will get to that a bit later. So, I did upgrade to a 'lifetime membership' on 12/2019 for another $408.99 (Shawn, Chris/Brian, and Jennifer) and asked him if this would end the solicitation calls. I went to book my first vacation, shortly had to cancel due to scheduling conflicts and they told me I would keep the credit on my account. Great. Then I scheduled again, (2) trips to US destinations for which they told me to 'keep it quiet' as I would have to do both presentations at both resorts and they don't like it when potential buyers do 2 presentations. The destinations I booked were at Clearwater Beach at the*** & Suites conf *** and Indian Rocks Beach at the Holiday Inn & Suites Harbourside conf# ***. So World Wide Vacations wanted me to lie, or keep information from one hotel to the next. THAT IS SHADY!

Next item for complaint, while I understand one of the rules on the travel guidelines is for 12 years and younger children stay free, what I WAS NOT TOLD is they want to try and charge you for each night an additional fee for that now 13 year old. I WAS told that I would have to pay for her as an adult, a one time per person fee at booking but I was NEVER told that we would ALSO incur another fee per night she stayed for an 'upgrade to the room'. That information should have been communicated with me on the initial sale as knowing my daughter would be 13 two years into this deal, I would have never purchased if I knew of these extra charges. I was so livid when I was speaking to Alicia about this, she said she would go back and listen to the recording. I encouraged her to do so as NO ONE ever told me about the additional per day fee for my daughter turning 13. Well guess what I was right. NO ONE TOLD ME OF THOSE FEES and Alicia confirmed it. Being that it was confirmed I was not told, Alicia said the resort was kind enough to waive those fees for me. But, being that I knew this time to dig deeper into future vacations, I asked the question 'will this happen with future vacations I book' and she responded 'yes'. This is when I got so mad, I told her I would let the Revdex.com take care of this. I was in NO MANNER told that with every trip I booked, that my 13 year old would require an additional per day rate. I did expect the one time per person booking fee, but NOT the additional per day rate. I am furious over this. So, I paid all the fees for this worthless vacation package, where I have 12+ vacations but they will all come with additional fees I was not told of in the original sale and WWV has proof in the recordings of that! I have spent $2515.98 on a vacation I've not even taken! And not only that, I will spend on average $600-$1200 when I do book as each time I book I will incur a per person fee (3 adults at an average of $200) PLUS the new 'per day hotel rate' I now have to pay for my 13 year year old and I have no idea what that will be based on the hotel we select!

This company uses shady sales tactics to get you to buy, then when you do want to try and book, you will find out you owe more money outside of the per person booking fee! They will fast talk you into waiving that fee only when you get upset and go round and round with them

THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED AND THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN! They honestly give other timeshare businesses a bad name. DO NOT FALL INTO THIS TRAP LIKE I DID!!!!

Desired Outcome

I am requesting a FULL REFUND of $2500 and they can have all their vacations. I have no desire and WILL NOT be using any of these vacations. I can only imagine how shady the sales pitch is when I get to the property. Their resolution of 'waiving the per person booking fee' for my 13 year old on 1 of the 12 vacations is not enough as when i book another vacation I will be right back where I am, of which no one informed me at original sale.

World Wide Vacations Response • Apr 23, 2020

We apologize for any inconvenience. All this information is given to you up front in your email confirmation as well as when you go though the legal verification department. We do not know how you will be traveling on these vacations and are upfront as we can possibly be. As I stated in our previous email correspondence, we are going to waive the per night fee for your 13 yr old for the Villa Del Palmar, and we went a step further and waive the resort fee for your 13 yr for the other trips she is able to go to. We received an email from you this morning stating you and your husband will be traveling, we look forward to traveling you and your family.

Hidden Fees
At no point in the sales pitch or contract does the company state that there will be a booking/processing fee for EVERY reservation you make on top of the initial package rate and resort fees for each location. When this is brought up to them, they mention it is an "incidental fee" that is mentioned in the email. Just to clarify, I am aware there are certain resort fees based on each location and those are clearly outlined in the confirmation email they send you.

The following is verbatim from the email: " For your non all-inclusive vacations you will be responsible for your incidental costs, such as but not limited to airfare, meals, transportation, gratuities, long distance phone calls, room tax and room service. You will be taking a 90-120 minute preview of the host resort at each destination that you're traveling to.

*Your All-Inclusive stays will include all of your Meals, Alcoholic and Non- Alcoholic beverages and all non-motorized activities. You will be responsible for your incidental costs, such as but not limited to airfare, long distance phone calls, gratuities, room tax and room service and the 90-120 minute preview of the host resort at each destination that you're traveling to."

Again, no mention of any booking or processing fee EVERY SINGLE TIME for EVERY SINGLE PERSON when you book a reservation. The fact that they hide this fee just to nickel and dime you is extremely shady practice. I have traveled only one time with this company and had decided to just let the rest of the packages go to waste as when I had tried to book the Thailand portion of my package, the booking and resort fees ALONE (not counting the initial 2 thousand dollars I sunk into the whole package) cost more than if I booked directly through *** or any other travel site. As my package was coming up on its expiration date, they had their sales/promotion department sell me on purchasing an extension. This sales person by the name of William D, who nobody seems to be able to find anymore when I ask for him (and FYI is one of the SUPPOSED reviewer's names on their website), informed me that they should not have charged any booking fees and that he would apply what I payed previously towards the extension. I reluctantly agreed after he assured me that going forward there would no longer be any booking or processing fees.

GUESS WHAT? I just tried to book a location in Las Vegas and after talking with the reservations manager AND Quality Assurance for over 30 minutes, they informed me that I had been mistaken or that I misunderstood what Mr. D had promised me. They said promotions/sales did not have the power to waive the booking fee (that again is never ever mentioned in conversation or in confirmation email). Quality Assurance said they they were reading off the transcript of the conversation I had with Dr. D. When I asked for a copy of the recording, they said they would have to request it from an outside source as they do not store these themselves. Finally, they agreed to waive the fee upfront and charge me only if I have to reschedule my reservation.

Desired Outcome

As I have traveled once from my original package, I am looking for a partial refund and also the refund of my extension. I don't want to argue with the agent for 30 minutes every time I try to book a location. At the very least, I am looking for WWV to keep their word and not add any "processing or booking" fees to any location I will be traveling to. Additionally, I would want assurance that if I transferred the packages to friends or family members, they would also not be charged any hidden booking or processing fees.

World Wide Vacations Response • Jan 14, 2020

We apologize for any inconvenience. I have looked into Mr. reservation and they have waive the processing fee on all reservations, current and future.

After you pay for the initial "package" that includes all of these great trips, you have to pay ridiculous "fees" to use them. It ends up being more.
I booked a package that cost $1,008 #CONFIRMATION NUMBER IS: *** it included a lot of vacation packages. When I went to book one of The trips from the package, that when I realized that WWV gets you with all of the hidden fees that you were initially unaware of. Its so many fees that the package ends up being more than its worth. However, too late to cancel, I paid the "fees" in order not to loose my initial investment. This made the total of the actual packages more than the trip was worth when you book on your own (no timeshare tours). But it got worse. I was told I had 3 years to use all of the trips I initially paid for. But 18 months into my "contract", they informed me that there are MORE FEES!! Yes, a fee to keep the 3 year usage clause. So, basically they told me I had 3 years to book the trips I paid $1008 for. Then they charge me for each trip, additional fees. Then they charge me 1 year into my 3 years allowed, to use it each year. So I actually would pay $1000 total to use these trips for 3 years, when I was I initially told I had 3 years (never mentioned a fee). The GENERAL MANAGER called me directly and said he would help me out and only charge me $198 for unlimited time to book these trips (which he said was the taxes), but I refused. I asked to write the owners or his boss and he said the owners do not live in this country, basically don't care and he has been running it for 12 years! Wow!!! So here I am making a complaint. I NEVER thought I would be scammed but here I am. At this point, I just want to utilize what I paid for, not obtain anymore fees for extension. And NEVER look back or refer!!!

Desired Outcome

I would like to use the trios I booked without paying an "extension" fee for the next 2 years. I purchased in 2018 and I have until 2021 to use them all.

World Wide Vacations Response • Dec 04, 2019

We apologize for any inconvenience. I have pulled up your package and it does look like you have 36 months from the day of purchase (7/18/18). Your package is good and you can travel until 7/18/2021. Your email confirmation reflects all the fees that you are responsible for at the time of reservations. Please let us know if you need assistance.

Wwvac called to tell me . Hit me up for more $with fast talking pressure tactics & confusing rules. Taking advantage of seniors. Want all $$ back!!
Nov. 26 2019 world wide vacation called to say time running out for previous purchase. I was told ptrvious purchase was good for lifetime. Now they wanted me to pay more since I was unable to use vacations upto nov 2019. Then the high pressure tactics start! Chris s*** talked fo 30 minutes and just would not go with my wish to consider just dropping the whole deal an letting me write it off as a bad investment. Oh but we can do more for you and on and on so I saud $200 more that is it. Ha passed me off to another department where the double talk continued. She wanted me to add another $ 400. Then it was ok $200. Si now I am in hock for $1000 and added to that are all the costs when you go to a resort + transportation just to get someone to buy a time share which will be an additional pressure tactic! There are so many hidden fees it becomes unmanageable! All I want is my latest $400 back charged to my credit card. I would like my original $600 too. But that is unlokely. These are fast talking hig pressure tactics that really put senior citizens in a bind! Read previous Revdex.com reviews about bad properties. Who want to fly all the way to costi rica. And end up in a dump. Apparently 5 star may not ba a 5 at all.

Desired Outcome

A minium of $400 & my original expenditure of $600 because i was told the original purchase was a LIFETIME purchase. I did not rush to take the original offered vacations as i thought there was no hurry!

We apologize for any inconvenience, Mrs. was contacted in regards to extending out her vacation package which was due to expire. Her package is now extended and she will be able to continue to use her package.

Customer Response • Dec 11, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
TThis company uses hard pressure tactics to make sales. Mr S and Ms p*** went on for over 90 minutes trying to sweeten the offer until it was so confusing I did not understand the companies numerous rules for using the package. But most important, Ms P sent an email saying my money would be refunded if I dropped the complaint. Upon contacting Revdex.com I learned that this is not the way the Revdex.com handles complaints. So basically Ms P lied with that email. On a phone call she told me that she could not do the refund as it was up to higher ups in the company. She made an offer and then pawned it off to higher-ups to whom I was unable to talk to. The company uses pressure and deceptive tactics to make sales. They have my credit card on file and I have no way of knowing how they might use it in the future. I was told that this was a lifetime offer on my original purchase of $600.00 dollars. They called again to say I had to pay more to keep the package in tact and then they started to pressure me into buying more. And I believe there are more charges in the future to keep my purchase alive. I will have to change my credit cart number and I will take this to additional authorities.

Misleading sales practices and high pressure sales tactics led to rushed purchase with no recourse.
I have had a mixed experience with World Wide Vacations. In the past we had a good experience and got value from our package at a Secrets Resort and Villa Del Palmar resort.

A few days ago I was contacted by Brian ***, sales manager. After initially stating that my current package was expiring in just a few months (same complaint from other customers), the extension and expansion sales pitch was started. Eventually Brian agreed that my package was not due to expire for another 2.5 years, but the same issue came up again with the next employee I talked to. Brian promised access to 5-diamond resorts as part of the package. After receiving my package information and reviewing the resorts, I can confirm that these are not 5 diamond resorts.

Many of the packages are not all-inclusive and all of the ones outside of the country carry report and booking fees that put them on-par or more expensive than simply booking through booking.com.

I contacted Brian the day after purchasing to request a refund, but he stuck to their no refund policy and played back the voice recording of the "closing" associate I spoke with, which made no mention of all-inclusive, 5-star, and actual resort fees. The more I have researched what I actually received, the worse this deal looks.

I still think our first package represented a good value, but my purchase in the amount of $808.99 two days ago was a mistake, and I feel taken advantage of.

Desired Outcome

I am requesting a refund of my package purchase price of $808.99.

World Wide Vacations Response • Nov 26, 2019

We apologize for any inconvenience. Being that you have traveled with us, I am sure you can agree that the resorts we use are of high quality. You renewed your package with us and were given several additional locations. Is there specific locations that you are seeing that do not meet your standards? As you know we are a company of integrity and we deliver what is promised.

Customer Response • Nov 27, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The response did not address my concerns of; resorts not actually being 5 diamond properties, increased booking fees, refusal to refund purchase.

When contacting company within 24 hours of purchase, claimed it is "impossible" to refund purchase but both their website purchase policy and past Revdex.com complaints show this is not true.

World Wide Vacations Response • Dec 02, 2019

We again apologize for any inconvenience. We are trying to find out what locations you are saying are not up to your standards or are not what was promised. The increase in resort fees go up like most things, but we will honor your original resort fees. You agreed to the cancellation policy, we give you the opportunity to extend the package out so you are able to travel.

Customer Response • Dec 02, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was told there were 5 diamond resorts in the package. None of the resorts in the package are 5 diamond or even 4 diamond properties. Your sales department categorizing any of these properties as such is simply untrue.

The 5 diamond rating is provided by AAA and can be found on their website.

Switch and Bate Scam
I purchased a package from Worldwide vacations Co. Located in Florida, USA. The cost of the package is $1,008.99 with an additional $800.00 because I want to extend our stay to 7 nights/8days. Confirmation number:***. I received a call a few months later asking if I would like to extend the cancellation date. I then paid an additional $1,000.00. All the while I believed that all this money would be applied to my vacation. I later was told in an indirect manner that in essence I paid that $1,000.00 for the expiration date to be extended. Rip Off! I then received a call back to reserve my vacation and am now being told that I purchased a package and altho I'm trying to use that package, I'm told that I need to pay an additional $1,494.00. No matter how I tried, I could not get a straight answer other than I purchased a package and that I would have to pay $1,494.00 to use that package!

Desired Outcome

I am submitting this complaint because I was not told truthfully, that all the monies I sent are not utilized for my vacation request. I feel that their practice is one of deceptions. I spoke to Amanda in reservations, her Manager Alicia Goodwin and the customer service desk, Shannon*** to no avail. I am out $2,808.99. IS THAT FAIR???

World Wide Vacations Response • Aug 26, 2019

We apologize for any inconvenience. On 1/1/17 Mrs. C purchased a package, she paid $408.99 and added 2 additional nights in Mexico for an additional $200. She traveled to Costa Rica with us June 2017, Mrs. C paid her resort fees at the time she made the reservation as stated in her paperwork. On 9/5/18 Mrs. C extended her package for 36 months and and purchased additional locations, she paid $1008.99 and added 3 extra nights to two of her locations for $800. She contacted us to book one of her Mexico locations, it was contracted for a 6 day 5 night stay and she wanted to add 2 additional nights. The resort fees for the location is $349 per person, if she would like to travel with out the extra nights she can. If she wants to add the additional nights she will have to pay $199 per person per night for the two nights. Mrs. C has all her paperwork in regards to the package and the renewal of the package. We also allowed her to listen to the verification recording when she purchased the renewal, it was gone over with her very clearly. I believe its just a misunderstanding and Mrs. C is more than welcome to contact us to book her reservations.

Customer Response • Aug 27, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They have not addressed my direct complaint. Why was I charged $1,000 for extending the "package" and what has happened to my $1,800.00 that I paid to purchase the "package" and now, when I tried to use the package, I was told I would have to pay $1,400+ to pay for the vacation.

My vacation to Costa Rica in past, did not involve a rip off as this trip has been presented.

I listened to their taping of my agreement to pay for the date extension, but at no time were the conditions made clear. It was a quick confirmation of the $1,000.00 being paid to extend my date all the while I was led to believe it was being applied to my "package." They don't have a taping of the call made to me when I was first sold the package. I was mislead and ripped off!

It's all a terrible rip-off of a senior citizen! Their misrepresentation has cost me $2,800.00 which now means I cannot afford a future vacation! What has happened to my "package!" I'm trying to use the package that I already paid for! And why is it that I cannot be given information of the owners of this company that I wish to contact. The "management" of this office must have to report to someone! I'd rather be able to contact them directly instead of going around and around with inadequate information from these so called managers! I want my money back!

Customer Response • Aug 29, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
There is still no explanation of the payment of my "package" not being applied when I've tried to book the vacation with my PAID "package" monies. Why am I charged $1,400+ to use for my vacation in addition to the $2,800+ that I have already paid!??? Their explanation of the monies in the increments I paid, do not address the fact that it adds up to $2,800+ and is not being applied to the vacation package I purchased for use for my vacation! It is unbelievable that there is some "misunderstanding" as an excuse not to explain where my money went! I want a refund!

World Wide Vacations Response • Sep 06, 2019

We again apologize for any misunderstanding, As you stated the monies you paid were for the "PACKAGE" you are still responsible for your taxes and resort fees stated in the email confirmation. You will also be responsible for any extra nights or upgrades you may want to add to any of the locations in your package. Please contact our reservations department if you would like to complete the booking.

My contract states something totally different than what the rep told me. I was mislead.
I first purchased a vacation package with WWV in 2014 for 324$. We planned a Florida trip in 2017 I upgraded to the 2Bdr at Silver Lake Resorts for 149$, we were not able to go because my mother had taken ill and passed. I had three years to use the package until 2017 which we were not able to use by then, so I renewed the package in 2017 for 208.99$ ***. I didn't want to loose the 2 payments of money that we had already paid. My contract states that the package is good for 36 months AND is fully extendable and transferable. I'm thinking ok I have until 2020 to use the package this time we will take at least one trip to offset what we have already invested. I received a call today from Mr Buckman stating that my package expired on July 31st of this year. I pulled up my confirmation email and it states 36 months. I asked him about my legally binding contract and he stated that it's a generic contract and they send them to everybody and that they don't have the time to customize each email for everyone of the customers. I said really because if I discussed something other than what is stated I would at least add additional comments to that effect. He went on to tell me that I have a great package worth over 15,000$ and that the money that I invested so far is nothing compared to what I was receiving. I stated that yes, I was aware of the deal I was receiving that's why I purchased it, but that has nothing to do with what my contract states and what was discussed. He told me I only had today and that I could pay 508$ MORE dollars and that payment would make my trips dormant after this payment and I would have a lifetime to take my trips. I told him I wouldn't feel right purchasing again another package and I was unable to take advantage of my others and that my time wasn't actually up yet. He said because of the amount of money I paid (208$) that I was only supposed to receive 24 months with the option to extend only an extra year that would make up the 36 months?? How is that when that's not what my contract states?? He was not budging or owning up to what my contract states and condescending. I was trying to keep my cool while I was at work. I had been looking on the site for my upcoming birthday to take a trip and he calls me with this disappointment. I called the customer service number to speak with someone else with a better customer service attitude and clarification about what my contract states and she put him right back on the phone and still the same nonchalant attitude about what my LEGALLY BINDING CONTRACT STATES. I am just blown back with the experience that I have received about spending my hard earned money and pretty much told it's nothing, on what I thought was a good way of being able to take a decent trip when I would be able to go.

Desired Outcome

I would like to receive the rest of my time for the vacation package that I purchased without any further charges to extend the package that was for 36 months originally. I would like to at least get one trip for what I have already invested and I don't think that's unreasonable.

World Wide Vacations Response • Aug 14, 2019

We apologize for the experience, as that is not how we conduct business. We do not have a Mr. Buckman, but we will find out who you spoke with and bring it to the attention of their supervisor. We have looked up your account and you do have until May 4, 2020. For the inconvenience we will give you an additional year, so now you will have until May 4, 2021. Please let us know if you need further assistance.

Customer Response • Aug 16, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Thank you so much for the immediate response. I pray that everything goes well from here on out and would love to do future business with World Wide Vacations.

WWV misrepresented length of prior contract to get money to extend time limit. WWV repesented expiry as Feb 2020. Actual expiry is March 2022.
Aug 8, 2019 Agent of WWV misrepresented my expiration date of prior unused vacation package as being only 6 months away (Feb 2020). This was the basic premise of the extension deal they were promoting. When I reviewed terms of my original package from WWV dated March 15, 2018 it clearly states a (4) year term. With 2-1/2yrs remaining I never would have paid additional monies to extend that package even though they'd added some additional destinations to sweeten the deal.

Desired Outcome

I expect a refund in the amount of $708.99 and an additional $200 that was part of extending the package.

Refund/Cancellation
On 6/25/19 I was contacted by Worldwide Vacations by phone to offer me a VIP package for $308.99 and upgrade for additional $300.After thinking it over I called back 6/26/19 to find out their cancellation policy. I was told there was no cancellation policy and they would reduce the cost 100 dollars. After reading reviews of people getting refunds. I feel the manager I spoke with was not honest with me.Confirmation number***.

Desired Outcome

Refund

Response makes no sense. I was contacted around 3:00 pm feeling pressure of making deal or loose it. After thinking it over called next morning when company opened to see about canceling. Your company representative talked highly of your company rating. If there was a no star rating that would be my option. Poor business ethics.

My wife and I checked in for a timeshare presentation in May 2019. When we filled out the check-in form, I filled out that we made 31-50k,however,we make at least 60k. This company states we committed a clerical error, and therefore we did not qualify for apresentation with Global Discoveries. Global Discoveries charged Worldwide Vacations for 148.00 and some change for the weekend. They stated that unless we pay that back,we don't qualify for any additional Vacations with this package. Package expires in May 2020.

Desired Outcome

Credit us for the vacation weekend we took in May 2019 and allow us to continue use of our vacation package till it expires or refund the remaining portion of our package which would be approximately be 252.00 out of the 400. 00 we originally spent for this package. A check can be sent to our address made out to Judy Eileen ***. Thanks!!!

Fraudulent Vacation Club
I have been contacted repeatedly by representatives of World Wide Vacations following up with me on a $500 "Credit on my Account". This alleged "credit" was actually part of an initial good-faith deposit I made with their vacation club affiliate, Tri-star Travel. I was in the market for a timeshare at the time and although I should have been more skeptical, I was distracted by their coincidentally good timing when they called with their promotional offer. I agreed to the terms because at the time, Tri-star followed up with what appeared to be a legitimate confirmation email outlining the package, a website and tracking number for the transaction/amount paid. When I went to the site provided to book the travel, it was defunct. When I called the provider to book the travel, the number went to a Voicemail box that was full. When I called back again several days later, the number was no longer in service. Then WWV comes along and gives me some dog & pony show nonsense about being the service arm of the operation and called about making good on my initial vacation deposit. I asked them to send me a proposal via email; they sent nothing. A week later (today) I got another phone call from their service center asking if I wanted assistance to book my travel. I had it out with the service rep and asked (again) for them to send me context for the offer. Upon reading the email I got (no website, only a return phone number to call), and reading comments from other dissatisfied customers, I'm realizing this does not appear to be a legitimate enterprise. I'm tired of the run-around, tired of the "we're here to help" nonsense...I want a refund of my $500 and I want this company held accountable for their lack of transparency and illegitimate business practices. They do not peddle a legitimate product, they do not make clear what you are buying and the total cost, they do not make clear the up front requirements for timeshare presentations (I haven't gotten that far...read allegations from other unhappy customers and assume if I followed through on booking I'd have to attend too). The whole thing appears as a front for an illegitimate enterprise aimed at selling a product in an unclear, under-handed way.

Desired Outcome

I want a refund of my initial payment made on Jan 6, 2018 in the amount of $498. I want WWV to stop harrassing me with phone calls promising to "help me" take advantage of my vacation package and then promptly seeking more money to book the travel/accommodations. I want their Revdex.com status downgraded and consumer warnings made clear to any consumers they plan to target. They are illegitimate and do not conduct themselves ethically.

Was lied to about trip that we paid for and then they charged for not wanting to stay where they sent us
We paid for a nice resort vacation through WWV. They sent us to a nasty hotel in Daytona which wasn't resort. And charged us for not staying there . Which was wrong . We were supposed to go to a seminar at the hotel of their choice and the hotel was nasty boarded up windows smelled bad. They took $600 some from us because we didn't stay at hotel but we were told it would be a 5 star hotel and it wasn't and now they refuse to refund my money for charging me because I stayed else where where it was clean and was nice. I just want my money back I was unhappy from the time I got off the plane to the. And now they calling us to sell us another "Package Deal" the guy gets frustrated because we don't want to buy into again and feel scammed basically and he kept pushing and I didn't hang up and be rude because that's not my nature , I ask him if he can hold on while I ask my husband about it and he's says ok I will hold on for 1 minute really nasty so I. Sa'id you know what I don't even want it or to even deal with you all and he says you know what we don't want business with people like you anyways . I was appalled and said ok thank you his name was Buck Destined! Who claimed to be the general manager . They are just trying to scam people out of money their properties are nasty and there persoanalities are nasty !!! Now he claimed that we didn't have the 24 months to use our packages from the last ordeal he claimed we only had 18 months which is NOT what we were told we had 24 months so now we are going to be out of another $1500 because we can't jump up in a month and take a trip . I want the money from Orlando and Daytona and also the 1500$ we paid for the other trips we had on standby.

Desired Outcome

I would like $600 from my trip to Orlando and Daytona in June last year, I would like the $1500 I paid for the other trip specials I paid for that they offered and I paid for to go to Costa Rica and New Mexico which I can't go on 2 trips in 2 months I'm not rich nor have 2000$ to just give away

World Wide Vacations Response • May 04, 2019

Please provide your confirmation number as we tried looking your account up by name and email.

Credit card charged without authorization.
After 2 hrs of hi-pressure sales negotiating "deal" that we thought would work, we gave our credit card info; we received an email requiring to confirm the purchase before charges would be posted. We called to cancel the purchase, but the charges posted without confirmation.

They are out to take advantage of seniors / retirees. These people should not be in business!!

Desired Outcome

Just do what you say you are going to do: 1. When moving from one rep to the next, quoted pricing should remain the same. 2. When sending an email that says the customer has to confirm the purchase before charges are submitted, wait for that confirmation. 3. When the client says "no", understand that they do not want the purchase, and cancel the payment.

Mrs. purchased a package on 4/30/2019. She called in the following day to cancel, when the customer service rep told her she was going to transfer her to a supervisor she disconnected the call. I called Mrs. back and a man answered the phone. I asked for Mrs. and he replied with "is this about the travel package?" I answered yes and he hung up on me. We reviewed the recording and both our sales agent and verification agent went over all the Terms and Conditions correctly in which Mrs. agreed to. Being that we could not speak to Mrs. we issued a refund of the package on 5/1/2019.

+1

I purchased a vacation package from this company and they claimed that I used it but I did not. I would like to get my money back.
I purchased a vacation package from this company and would like a refund as I am not able to use it. However, they are claiming I used it which I did not. They are extremely hard to get a hold of. They did not send me confirmation emails several times like they told me they would over the phone. I tried to reach a resolution with them but they have been completely uncooperative and sneaky.

Desired Outcome

I want my money back. Specifically, 480 dollars plus the 199 they swindled off of me.

World Wide Vacations Response • Apr 23, 2019

purchased a package on 6/22/2017 and had 60 months to travel. On 10/9/2018 she called in to book her 4 day and 3 night stay in Orlando for 11/30/18-12/3/18. She called back later in the day and canceled that reservation. The very next day she booked her 4 day and 3 night stay in San Diego for 2/26/19-3/1/19. On 1/11/19 Mrs. called in to change her dates for her San Diego stay to 4/16/19-4/19/19. Mrs. did not show for that reservation resulting in a 1 night penalty. Also on 1/11/19 she rebooked her Orlando stay for 6/10/19-6/13/19. We have several email correspondences from Mrs. in regards to updating her mailing address and the purchase of her new home. She also signed agreeing to all the terms and conditions of the package as well as the cancelation policy. The last correspondence we had with Mrs. is her wanting to cancel her Orlando stay. On that call our Reservation Manager told Mrs. about the stay in San Diego and canceled the Orlando stay. She still has an active package and is able to rebook her Orlando stay or any of the other locations in her package. Please let me know if you need anything further.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This response is unacceptable. I would like my money back as I cannot use their services and I do not wish to do business with this company any longer. They have jerked me around ever since I purchased the initial package. They didn't even send me the packet they promised until almost a year after my purchase. They use sneaky sales tactics to try to make you purchase more of their products. They did not send me correct information on the trips I tried to plan and when I called them, they tried to charge me additional fees eventhough I called months in advance of what I was planning. I now have a medical condition and cannot fly anywhere. I have reached out to them three times via phone and email to tell them that I literally cannot use their services. I think it is morally wrong to take someone's money for a service they can't possibly use. They need to fix this. On top of the initial fee of $480, I was also charged $199 and $110 for "goods and services" I never used. That brings the total refund that I should be receiving from this company to $789. This is pocket change to them but to me as a consumer, this is a lot of money for a service that I cannot and have not used. As a single mother, this is essentially taking resources away from my child and for medical expenses.

We have been in contact with Mrs. by phone and by email. We have been readily available for her to book her vacations, and if she has any questions in regards to her package customer service is available. We have not used any kind of tactics, we go above and beyond to insure she has a pleasant experience. I am attaching her confirmation for San Diego which states the penalty as well as the correspondence from our marketing company that shows Mrs. received the email. If Mrs. can not use the package herself, the package is fully transferable to a qualified candidate.

After months of lies and misinformation and a plan to reimburse the company is now unwilling to reimburse for fees already paid.
In October 2018 I called WWV reservation dept to book a 5day/4night stay at a resort in Freeport, Bahamas for Feb 2019. I was told at that time they did not have the resorts calendar available for 2019 yet. I called a handful more times over the next 2 weeks before I was finally told in mid-November that the calendar was available and we could book for the week we needed (Feb 12-16, 2019). I paid $518 to reserve the condo and was told I should receive confirmation within a few days. After nearly two weeks I had still not received confirmation so I called WWV back to inquire. They told me the resort has been on vacation or closed for the last few weeks and they would follow up to see when they would be reviewing the reservation requests. I called roughly once per week through December and was told various reasons for why I had not received confirmation but that everything should be fine and we still have 6 weeks until travel so not to worry about it.
Finally on January 2nd, 2019 I called to inquire again and was told they now do have the actual calendar from the resort available and the resort does not have any openings for 2 weeks around when I was planning to travel and had booked the room for. WWV took my money nearly 8 weeks prior and lied to me repeatedly only to inform me that the reservation was no longer available and I would need to book for another week. This did not work as I had a work obligation in FL that we were pairing this trip with and those work dates were not flexible.
I insisted on my money back for the vacation and was told that was not possible and they would apply the money toward a credit of another future vacation. This was not acceptable as I do not plan to ever make another reservation with this company due to the way this was handled for nearly two months.
I was then transferred to customer service to see about a refund of not only the $518 for this specific trip but also the $708 I spent for access to the packages nearly 2.5 years prior (I had not booked any trips with them prior to this experience). Shannon in Customer Service stated she would call the resort and see what options were available. After being on hold for 10 minutes I was told that they were able to accommodate us, we were all booked and I should receive confirmation in 24 hours.
Within 1 hour I received an email from the resort stating there was no availability and the reservation was not honored. I called Shannon back immediately to let her know and she said she didn't know what happened and they would refund the $518 for the trip. I mentioned that I expected the $708 fee to be refunded as well as I was so frustrated that I never intend to use this company again. She said she would talk to ownership and see what she could do.
I called back on January 3rd to follow up. At that time I was told they would reimburse the $708 via check (due to the length of time since that purchase was made) and I should see it within 2 weeks via priority US Mail. I failed to get this in writing as I figured they understood the situation and would honor their word.
I still had not received the check by end of January so I called again to follow up. I was told Shannon had just left the office due to illness and they didn't know when she would return. I explained the situation with the non issued check and proceeded to get into a tense discussion with the CSR. She said she would review all telephone recordings and get back to me. They claim to have all of the conversations recorded except the one regarding the refund. I was told Shannon was still sick and they didn't know when she would return.
Then on February 6th I got an email from Shannon stating there was a misunderstanding and they have no intention of reimbursing the $708 despite her being very clear about it in early January. I still have not seen a response, never received any follow up from at any point through this entire process and at this point still do not have that check.

Desired Outcome

I expect a refund of $708 for the initial package purchase made in August of 2016.

Customer Response • Apr 25, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I have received the check in the mail as promised. Thank you.

I was sold something and promised one thing and given another.
I was contacted via telephone by a salesman who wanted to sell me a timeshare voucher package. I listened to him because I am looking to purchase a timeshare and he offered the opportunity to visit multiple places at a low cost. When he said that I, along with my spouse or significant other had to attend a sales pitch I said that I could not longer participate because I was a widow and traveled alone. He assured me that he would make sure that I could travel alone. He also said that I had to use the weeks within 30 months and again, I said that I would not be able to do that so I would pass. He again assured me that he would change that to no expiration date. When I verbally accepted the offer I was given to another person to validate my acceptance and was told that the price that has to be paid was a per person price. When they took my money and then sent me an e-mail confirmation all of the things that the sales person offered to change were not changed. I was also told that I was not eligible to visit one of the resorts they sold me because I was over the age of 65 and they did not bend that rule. I was over the age of 65 when they sold it to me and I was told, "We will find you something you like just as much." When I contacted the company I was told that their e-mail to me was very clear that it had to be used in 30 months and that the prices were based on double occupancy, meaning that I had to pay twice as much for one person to travel. They reviewed the tapes and said that in my conversation to confirm my purchase I was told that the price was a per person price. That does not reflect to me that two people have to travel and in fact, I told the salesperson more than once that if two had to attend their meeting I would not qualify. I asked the company to either refund my purchase price of $300 or let me travel alone and they were not willing to do either. When I asked them to review the sales tape they said they no longer had them. They did have the tape with the confirmation but again, that tape says that it is a per person price, not a requirement for at least 2 people to travel. During the sales call I repeated more than once that I traveled alone and if traveling with someone was a requirement I was not interested.

Desired Outcome

I would either like to travel alone and not be charged for two people or I would like a refund. I would also like to be able to visit the resorts that I was sold even if I am over 65. If that was a requirement they should not have sold it to me.
