I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint "We have reviewed this case EBTH doesn't have a voice mail system for customer service The item was purchased on May 16th On May 19th, both credit cards declined We attempted again on May 23rd We were successful on June 6th, where we charged $transfer fee to our warehouse, plus tax." -- I was not contacted about providing another form of payment."We have stored the item since May 20th We store the item for days based on our terms and conditions. On June 8th, she received a forfeiture notice that if it wasn't picked up by June 11th, it would be forfeited We had no contact from her about this item We held the item for over days without response and sent emails about these pieces to remedy this." ---I did not receive a forfeiture notice nor did I receive "emails" to remedy this In fact I had contacted Customer Service and asked how I could obtain my item, with NO response other than Customer Service was looking into the issue Only did I receive a response once the item was donated."We feel we did our due diligence to partner her with her items We recognize the frustration, but based on storage and the way we handle our business of moving items from an estate, storage is at a premium for our business We would like to offer a $gift card towards a future purchase, which we will send to the email on file."--Considering the poor customer service and the fact that I never received the emails that were supposedly sent, I will not accept a gift card sent to my email I would like a refund on my credit card or a gift card in the amount of the purchase

My experience has shown me that I am not told the truth about issues and questions I may have. Hence, again the example of having to wait over days for a shipment because they had to acquire packing materials. The shipment was barely packed, and the box was barely taped together by the time I received it. There was damage, and it took over a month to get it. Obviously, the packing materials story was not true...or they at least didn't use the packing materials I had to wait for Also, I have seen numerous items listed more than once on different sales. I assumed at the time, the customer didn't follow through on the sale the first time it was listed. So, EBTH listed it again on a later sale. Now, how can I not wonder if these are things they lost, refunded the customer, and then simply sold it again. So many questions, so few answers...legitimate answers.I collect globes. I spent hours watching and bidding on this item...so, it's very hard from my perspective to be ok with the, "sorry, we lost it," defenseI also received correspondence from EBTH today stating Revdex.com is the only channel in which they will talk to me now. And, of course I still have to wonder why I wasn't told it was lost the first time I inquired about itWas it lost at that time? I'll never know, because I can only depend on what I'm being told and when it's proven over and over what I have been told once will be something different the next time, etcI want EBTH to find my stuff

The ring was first shipped to Ms*** via ***, tracking ***, on January The delivery attempts can be seen in this tracking number. Ms*** reached out to our customer service department on 2/regarding her itemShe asked for a refund at that time and the customer service representative explained that we are unable to refund her money since we shipped the item within our terms and conditionsIf Ms*** does not sign for the items again or refuses shipment, she is still responsible for payment of the item, as it will be considered abandoned. Per the terms and conditions, “All items are sold "as is" and you are aware that, unless otherwise stated, the items sold on the Site are not new nor in perfect condition, may require touor repairs prior to use and the available information about these items may be limited.”In regards to Mr***’s concern regarding photo modification, EBTH did not manipulate the picture of this rug in our listingThe bright flash from product photography can often make an item seem brighter than what they look like in natural light. EBTH uses visuals and written word to illustrate an item’s characteristics so that customers can get an idea of what they are bidding onThe Hand-Knotted Persian *** Area Rug from invoice B-*** was described as “Good” with “minor marks from use”Due to this, EBTH is not able to reimburse the customer the requested amount of $for a rug cleaning.We previously offered Mr*** $50, roughly 10%, off the entire invoice as a gesture of good faith, but we are willing to offer Mr*** $100, a little more than 20% off the invoice, as a final offer for compensation. charged to have to her items shipped to herThe terms state that “in the event that you fail to pickup or designate shipping for your items in accordance with the EBTH terms and conditions, you hereby authorize EBTH to charge your credit card for the purchase amount of the item plus any taxes, shipping costs, and handling fees.” These terms were agreed to prior to placing bids. listed on the item page while the item was live, as well as in her won invoices section of her account pageAdditionally, Ms*** was emailed on 10/that her invoice was readyWhen it was not picked up, it was moved to our *** Showroom location where it was available to be picked up from 10/until 11/When Ms*** did not pick the item up at the *** Showroom, it was automatically booked for shipping on 11/and, per the authorization give to EBTH when Ms*** agreed to our terms and conditions, her card was charged $in addition to the $already charged, for an invoice total of $135.49.Our terms and conditions state, “By providing your credit card information to EBTH, you irrevocably authorize EBTH to charge your credit card for the listing fee or total purchase amount of any winning bid plus any fees associated with the sale of the item, including but not limited to taxes, shipping and handling fees, as applicable.” Ms*** contacted our customer service team via chat on 11/8, when her card was charged for shipping, and notified the customer service representative with whom she worked that she was unhappy with thisThe customer service representative let her know that the pieces were shipped automatically because they were not picked up. Again all I can say is look at what other listings brought When they were correctly listed and advertised as vintage the price rarely rose above $ They speak of the auction market value, okay, that value when a person is bidding, is primarily based on the listing and how the item is described, not giving information on the age of the item certainly increased the perceived value This does not mean that is what the item is really worth They state the coat has been returned, I have not yet received it
I just want to try to alert other auction buyers to beware You cannot trust the description of the item to be accurate
