What a joke. We agree on a price. I give them a deposit and his phone rings and he hangs up and say. UH. I sold you the wrong product. Let me redo the math. The price doubled. Wait What?? I say no way. I want my deposit back. Yada Yada...Now three days later the charge shows up in my bank account. I am expected to wait to get my money back? How does that work??? I do not recommend this business. I dont care how many good reviews they have. I will say the salesman was polite. But he had no clue what he was doing. Said he has worked there since 2013. You would think after selling windows for 7 years that he would have it figured out...This is ridiculous.
Project was mis-sold and upon reviewing work order / contract, sales manger notified DC while still in the home that a mistake has been made. DC made correction and customer decided not to move forward considering the price change. When informed on 5-29-2020 GM reached out to customer. Explained why the situation took place, offered to honor the original quote, and wrote a check # 2002 to reimburse for the deposit. Customer confirmed receipt of check 6-6-2020. GM also sent a $50 gift card.
This company advertised no installation costs and no interest for 18 months.I got a quote for installation of a walk in tub. After 90 minutes the quote was $29000. Just wondering why, without installation costs, so expensive. The worst sales experience of my life. Unprofessional sales rep, no sample just false advertising.
We contacted West Shore in November to take advantage of one of their discount specials...as of today, our shower renovation is still not completed! When they sent out their salesman, he promised us a project that ultimately couldn't be completed by their contractors when they came in late December/early January. Once we agreed to a different setup, the initial install of our shower was done & after they left we noticed that our water pressure had decreased & that our hot/cold water lines were reversed. We also noticed that the top cap covering our half wall was uneven & there was a large black scuff mark along the outside edge & saw marks along the rest (it's cream in color). They sent out a different crew who determined that the initial installers didn't flush the system correctly, causing a leak & clogging the line with insulation. The third crew that was sent out replaced the shower head & repaired the leak properly, since the 2nd crew didn't. The 4th crew was supposed to install the shower door, but they ultimately left telling us that they weren't given enough time in between appointments to do so. Approximately 6 weeks later, yet a 5th crew finally came out to install our custom door & droplight, only to find out that the droplight & frame were measured incorrectly & were nearly an inch too short. To their credit, they did fix the top cap to our half wall & also repaired our ceiling that they felt wasn't capped off properly with drywall by the first installers. We kept the incorrect droplight & plugged the hole with a washcloth, while we waited for them to return with the new droplight. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 Stay-At-Home Order struck & our project was yet again put on pause. Yesterday, the 5th crew returned again to finally complete our shower, only to discover that once again, our droplight is still wrong...this time it's too tall & too long, so yet again we're left to wait. It's worth mentioning that the loan company we used to help fund the install continues to call us monthly looking for updates because they don't want to bill us until it's actually done. West Shore boasts that they offer "swift, no hassle home improvements," but given our experience this is FAR FROM THE TRUTH! All we want is for this ridiculously expensive nightmare of a renovation project to be over!
the two young men that installed the shower walls were the best thing so far, the walls and the pan were installed, the rest was all wrong, I change the order from chrome to brushed nickle, well the salesman Mike says it didn;t get changed but I know it was his fault, that was on monday may 11th, how its thursday may 14 still nothing had made 5 phones call talked with a few people left 4 messages nothing, can't talk to anyone to find out what is going on, all say that they will let me know when parts will be in stock, why can;t they call the suppler when parts will be in stock, good thing I have a second bath room I was going to have them do my windows, but not now, I would not use this company again just be where
This complaint is against West Shore Homes on behalf of my mother who is elderly, and it is my belief that she was taken advantage of and severely overcharged for the product and services provided.
The scope of the project was to simply remove and replace a shower (no door involved) and basic hardware in a mobile home bathroom, which took less than a day to complete. For this rather simple project, West Shore Homes charged my mother $12,900! I have quite a bit of construction experience & knowledge, but still conducted research into what a project like this should have cost. The national average is $800 - $3500 for labor and materials. A ‘deposit’ of $3800 was paid prior to the start of the project.
I attempted to obtain a detailed estimate of cost/materials from West Shore Homes, but they have indicated they do not and will not provide that information, which seems quite unorthodox and rather suspicious.
To date, all efforts to negotiate what I believe to be an egregious charge with West Shore Homes have failed.
Please provide customer name/address and, if possible, the contract. I can't locate customer information based on what was provided.Thanks
Contracted work was with my Mother:

I signed a sales agreement with West Shore Home with the promise that my home would be left in a cleaner condition that when they started. I made the purchase because I was scheduled for hip replacement surgery and needed to convert my tub to a shower. The day the installers came they were here over 12 hours and left my entire home a complete mess. It took me 4 days, including Thanksgiving Day, to make my 1st pass at cleaning up. The installers threw a couple protective mats on the floor, and proceeded to use my uncovered furniture and new vanity/sink as their work table and continued to do so even after I asked them not to. It was after the installers left that I discovered the real damage - the walls (bathroom and bedroom) had been badly damaged, trim work was damaged, and paint was gouged. I immediately contacted West Shore Home and sent pictures as customer service requested. Another installer came out approximately a month later to fix what he could, but with some items remaining. During this visit another representative also came out to observe the damage and indicated that someone would contact me for resolution - that has not happened. I sent a request thru the West Shore website and received no response. I sent a detailed letter to the office and have not received a response to that either. In the meantime, and not wanting to live with all the damage, I spent 2 months repairing all the damage.
It was nightmare. Shoddy work that had to be replaced. Shower wall covered light switch in wall next to it. Shower doors installed wrong. Would have to crawl over toilet to get into shower the way doors are installed. Holes in wall next to shower twice!
Poorly installed remodel of my home shower. Timeline and products installed were not of the quality we were quoted. Nov. 23rd,2019 we had a morning appointment scheduled. Rescheduled for afternoon due to the consultant couldn't come. We quoted, & decided to accept the bid and measurements were taken. Were advised this would be a 3-4 week lead time & 1 day install. No contact until late Dec which on Dec 31st more measurements were taken. Again no contact until mid Jan, 2020 when we were advised the install was scheduled for Jan 31st, 2020 @ 9:00AM. At 9:00 am we were contacted to reschedule due to the lead installer quit that morning. Rescheduled for Tuesday Feb. 4th, 2020. Team arrived @ 10:30 , left @ 4:30. Only 1/2 the tile had been removed and floor pan installed. We questioned the 1 day install, the team laughed and advised the pan needed to dry 24 hrs. Arrived Feb 5th @ 11:00am to finish but no Shower doors were available. When a 4th team member arrived with the doors,they saw there were no handles on the doors. So, no install, we were advised we would be contacted to reschedule in a few days. No one called. Then I checked the fixtures, I ordered Brush nickel, got standard construction grade (low quality) chrome fixtures and the faucet wouldn't turn on. It was stuck in place. Finally, Feb 25th,2020 the doors were installed but backwards because the frame was installed wrong and the bumpers wont alien if installed any other way. No drain slot on the bottom so the water sits until evaporates. Not the $900.00 doors we were quoted. Doors overlap by almost 4". As a former Inventory management Specialist for a home Improvement Co and currently a Purchasing Buyer, I would value this install @ $2000.00 MAX, Not the $8000.00 we were charged. It was Not AT All the workmanship and Materials we were quoted. I will never allow West Shore Homes into my home EVER AGAIN!
We have reached out to the customer. We spoke to *** who addressed some issues. We are waiting on a call back from *** to fully understand the scope of problems. We stand ready to repair any poor workmanship. We just need to hear back from the customer to understand the full scope of the request.

I am rejecting this response because: As I expressed in my complaint : There will be no access to correct workmanship in this situation as I will not allow West Shore Homes back in my house ever again. The only resolution is Financial Recovery. They did not hold to the agreed contract to install in 1 day and I've done my homework on this install. We were grossly overcharge for the quality (in our case, lack of) workmanship and products installed. No one from West Shore Homes has tried to contact me directly so I will reach out to them one more time on Monday, April 13th but WILL NOT sit on hold for longer than 3 minutes.

Paid $2,850 deposit for contracting work for a shower installation. I called to cancel the work due to Pennsylvania mandate to halt all construction due to the coronavirus construction lockdown. Asked that the deposit be refunded as no work was ever done, and I don’t know when it will be able to be done. I also needed the deposit money to tide me over as my work/job hours were drastically cut for an indefinite period again due to the coronavirus outbreak. They refused to refund the deposit in light of this coronavirus issue. They furthermore tried to coerce me into signing a 6 or 24 month payment program for work never done. They stated this is the only way I would receive a partial refund. I feel that these are fraudulent and coercive business practices, especially in light of the current crisis. They further stated that if I cancelled the project now or for anytime in the future they were entitled to the full deposit AND an addition $500 as a restocking fee.
We have searched our entire system, I have spoken to the local GM and sales manager. We can't find a record of this gentleman anywhere in our system. We're concerned that this may be a review directed at a different company (we wouldn't even do a door replacement for an office in a medical facility).
If the complainant could reply with a contract or order number so we could verify further, we'd love to dig into this more.
Thanks

Horrible company. I hired them to do my shower install. When the contractor arrived he acted as though he didn’t know the scope of the project. I called Westshore to make sure they gave him the information. We were told we would receive a shower rod so we could use the shower the day of installation until the shower door came. Well that didn’t happen. No has come to measure the shower door and it’s been about 2 1/2 weeks now. They told me it will take 2 weeks from the date they measure the door for it to come. You can forget about communication. I had to call each day just to get an update. I would never recommend this company. Biggest mistake.
We had a new tub with surround walls installed,looks beautiful !! Ruben Salinas and Tyler Poynter did a great job .Professional and courteous,they showed me the steps along the way and answered any questions I had
Friday 1/10/2020: Signed an agreement to have a bath tub and wall surround replaced, gave West Shore Home a deposit of $1944.00. Realized that the total cost was too high and decided to cancel the contract. Saturday 1/11/2020 Sent the forms to cancel the contract using the US Postal Service, return receipt requested. This form showed that the company received the forms on Monday, 1/13/31. Tried numerous times to contact the company to have our deposit returned and just kept being given the "run around" People with whom I spoke or tried to contact are the following: Rochelle who makes sales appointments and forwards all calls without ever giving out any direct contact numbers; John T, sales representative; Stephani, another telephone screener; Brandon S, Chief of Finance; Mellisa S, assistant to the Chief of Finance; Alexa who works in the Finance office.
According to the law they are supposed to make the refund within 10 days but we are still waiting. I have copies of all the paperwork, the signed mail receipt the withdrawal from our bank account etc.
Please do what ever you can to rectify this problem.
We apologize for the delay. I have confirmed that the deposit was mailed back to the customer on January 27th, 2020. They should have received it by now.

Company replaced and installed shower (on Dec 23) but shower door needed to be measured, ordered and installed. I was told this would only take week max two weeks.
As of Feb 1, still no shower door. I have contacted West Shore and Financial company for weeks complaining about this.
I was told that, door was ordered but to date have not been told status of door when I could expect installation.
I was told by consult that he was told my door was handled.
Calling me and telling me that the door was ordered is not handled. It's not handled until the Shower door is installed.
I am now having to make payments on an incomplete project because West Shore told Financial Company that project was complete. Which was and is a lie. The project is not completed until the Shower door is installed and no installers have to return to project/house to do anything.
Customer Service spoke to the customer 2/4/2020 and confirmed with them that we do have the glass in stock now. The glass is scheduled to be installed on Monday Feb 10th by our installer. We will reach out to the customer once the glass is installed to discuss any necessary steps to ensure their total satisfaction.
I signed a contract to install 34 windows and 1 sliding door. The installation was finished on Jan, 10 and took 4 days instead of the 1-2 days promised during the contract signing and installation scheduling.
After the installation was completed, the team left in my house:
- multiple scratches on the drywall from stairs and tools they used during the installation;
- large defects on drywall from improper installation;
- mud and dust in the pool (they did not cover the pool and did not ask us to do that, although I communicated with them about that a day prior to installation and specifically requested info about how dusty the upcoming installation would be.) As a result, the pool is full of small pieces of garbage and a mud layer on the bottom. Very dirty.
- they broke a tail on the roof and did not notify us of it, so we found that after they left;
- windows are dirty and dusty;
- they left their garbage in our garage and in the lawn;
- several windows don't have mesh screens.
Moreover, the windows and the sliding door did not pass the Florida State inspection; some screws are missing and the lock of the sliding door is not working. So, for almost 2 weeks we could not leave the house unattended. Somebody always had to stay home.
I communicated with the local manager, Jeffrey, about this on Jan 16. He promised me that the team would come back on Tue, Jan 21 to address all these issues, but it has no happened. On Wed, 22, I tried to reach Jeffrey, but he did not pick up the phone and did not return my voice message.
This business requires a comprehensive evaluation due to the low quality of the job, disrespectful attitude towards the clients, and inability to be compliant with Florida State regulations.
West Shore Home has performed a recon of this job to ensure we understand the full scope of the issues outstanding. We have ordered parts to ensure we can complete all services. As soon as the parts arrive we will return to the customer's home to complete the job to his satisfaction.

I am rejecting this response because:
I am not sure what parts you are talking about. What parts do you need to remove labels and clean the windows, the restore and fix drywalls, to pain the walls, to clean the pool or to fix the roof?
They caused significant damage to my roof - it is leaking - it should be fixed immediately!
They installed the windows almost 1 month ago. Since that time, they just fixed the lock in the sliding door and put missing screws to pass the State inspection.
10 days ago the manager showed up, investigated problems and later called me and notified that "people whom he trusts to fix my problems" are busy next 10 day and promised me to call back but it never happened.
Regards
I appreciate the customer's rejection. The information I provided previously clearly did not pan out as we anticipated. We absolutely want to get this issue resolved and properly.
Here's where the project stands:
Window Stickers were removed and 2 screens installed on
Friday 3-13.Drywall, Paint and roof repair is being done by ***.
They are to start this week. Window cleaners visited the job on Friday 3-13 to assess.
Windows will be cleaned when all repairs are finalized.Pool cleaning will be done by homeowner’s current pool
company. Which will be done after all work is done. He will then
submit invoice to us for reimbursement.
The only variables we can't control are:
- the impact of the coronavirus and
- subcontractor schedules.
We'll monitor and actively manage the process. We're determined to resolve this to the customer's ultimate satisfaction
West Shore replaced my bath in Sept.2019. They talked me into financing the job through them. They used Greensky Financial. After making 4 payments on time I still owe more that the original note. Lots of extra interest is charged because they do not process the payments for weeks. West Shore will not help! Green Sky had my check for the payoff before New Years day but they just processed the payment today 1/21/2020 charging me an additional $60 in intetest. Stay away from these 2 companies they do not do business in a proper manner.
Upon signing the contract on November 23, 2019, we were promised someone would contact us within 72 hours to schedule the work. After three calls from us and nearly two weeks later, someone contacted us. Lack of communication and broken promise #1. The installation for our two bathrooms was scheduled and conducted on December 18 and 19. I took two days off. December 18, only one man showed up nearly two hours late. We were told that two people would work each day by the sales team. Besides being late, the walls for the bathrooms were not the size that was measured and promised in our contract. Broken promise #2. The gentleman who was installing broke one of the walls. He departed early, around 3 pm stating that he had to return to cut a new piece and would return the next day with another installer. The next day, two men showed up. Neither was the installer from the day before. They notified us that the walls were not the size we ordered as these were ‘pre-fabed’ and could not be custom made to the height we agreed to and signed in our contract. Exactly the opposite of your salesman stated and wrote in our contract and what the company later corroborated that the walls would be cut to the length in our contract. Broken promise #3. My wife notified our salesman and he even verified the correct height of our shower walls. Unlike the previous day, they did not lay down tarp or a cover over our carpet. And also unlike the previous day, they said they would not install their plumbing as ‘the house was new’. The day before, the installer stated the plumbing is replaced no matter the age of the home. In the sales pitch the salesman made on 23 November, he stated the same. Additionally, the shower leaks after it is shut off. Poor installation. Finally, I sent a letter 6 January to complain, called 13 January, and called/sent another letter today, 20 January. To date, no response. And the custom doors cannot be installed. I seek compensation and completed work according to the contract.
Home has scheduled a service appointment for February 4th, 2020, at which time we intend to resolve all issues raised by the customer. We're very sorry for any inconvenience and we will work diligently to make it right.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
The installers arrived today prepared to install/correct only one (1) bathroom. They were completely unaware of the requirement to repair both bathrooms and the plumbing in the master bathroom.
To compound the poblem, they stated, unlike the contract, the salesman, and customer service representative, that the walls we ordered only go to 97 inches, not 103 inches (103 allows the siding to reach the ceiling). I am willing to provide the names of the workers and the foreman from *** that I spoke with today. The other issue remains is installing the glass doors. They cannot be installed until the walls are corrected, as per the contract.
Finally, I have attempted to contact both the *** offices but no one answers.
I have no choice but to seek legal action.
