installed windows
very pleased with our Living Room windows though I was told by my husband removing the old ones sure put up a good fight. Actual 2nd install because the 1st set weren't measured right. But after a few weeks of the 1st set we are having issues of not lining up to lock on 2. Appointment set to fix that, hope there won't be more. The installers this time were Aiden C & Joseph W. Thank you for your professional work.

I had someone come yesterday to give me a quote. I have been seeing the commercials running at least 6 times a day.....No money down.....Free install....Extra 10% off. My bathroom fits only two people at a time. The tub is below average in size....I was quoted $9,400.00 to replace the extra small tub and to install a shower with only a $500 upgrade. This is ridiculous, they are trying to take advantage of people because they know people are at home due to the virus and are looking for deals. They use the wonderfully marketed commercials to get in your home; then here comes the outrageousness.
So sad!

I don’t want to stop until I talk to that BJ until you get through responses from your customers some of these may be lies I mean this guy lied to me and that’s not right and he should be disciplined for lying to me and I won’t stop until I talk to that BJ’s guy the owner

Very poor customer service from installer and misrepresentation from salesperson. Paid $18,000+ for install of *** walk in tub May, 2019. 4 service calls in almost a year for same issue. The tub runs out of hot water before it gets full. Three different electricians have been out to our house. One had to completely re-do the original install wiring and box. No permit was done for original work, even after I question the salesman 3 times about it. We had to pay more for new water heater recently installed by them because they now blame our original water heater - we had no other problems with other water in house except tub filling not to hot enough temp or high enough in tub for jets to run. With new water heater install, we demanded a permit for all work past and present be done and be included in a new contract to be under warranty, which they finally did and presented Feb 2020. The electrical failed the permit inspection from city of Edgewater today...not surprised. Excuses have been given blaming sale of company from Fairbanks to West Shore this past summer. Three of the four service calls have been under West Shore management, as well as this recent fail on inspection. The plumbers blame the electricians and back and forth. Have to do several follow up calls and e-mails for them to take action on this lifetime warranty that we paid so much for, then wait weeks for them to come. Recently promised the whole team would be there at once for the 2/20/20 re-install to finally get the water hot enough to fill, and the electrician was 5 hours late. Have had to take vacation days to oversee these people as the trust has been broken so many times to let my ill husband handle alone. Now we are going to have to go through same runaround to get them out to fix the failed permit issues. Salesman told us value of hiring one company for install is that we could call one entity and the blame game would not happen. I feel this is a misrepresentation because I have to make several calls every time to get this one issue resolved which has been a problem since the 3rd time the tub was used. I have hesitated to put up a negative review, as eventually we are getting people out there, but we are almost at a year from install date, and still problems are not fully resolved. So I'm posting this now without hesitation. We are stuck with them due to the money we paid and the lifetime warranty, but I would never recommend this company to anyone else.

I tried calling and talked with a man that said they could do my front storm and inner door, I was happy an hour later, I got a call telling me they don’t do mobile home storm or entry doors for disabled veterans. Very unhappy with the new guy calling me, making me feel like my money ain’t no good. I can fight for my Country become disabled and no one will help, yet I still see West Shore Home ads plastered all over ***! Needless to say I think this Company only wants able bodied citizens to work for... I’m very unsatisfied by this manager ??

West Shore Home is never excited to let a potential customer down. We take customer satisfaction very seriously. Unfortunately Mr *** spoke with a newer inside sales representative who didn't immediately understand the scope of work required to complete the requested project.
To accomplish the work Mr *** was requesting, we would've had to physically widen the door opening which in all cases is outside our scope of work. A full service construction company would be better equipped to handle the structural and support elements impacted by such a dramatic modification.
This is not a service we would offer to anyone.
West Shore Home is extremely grateful to America's veterans and would like to thank you, Mr ***, for your service to us and our country. You can visit our website to better understand our commitment to veterans.

We had hired WSH to replace our bathtub/shower after speaking with salesman ***, we advised Leo that our shower walls were leaking into our basement and showed him he water damage. He informed us that it would be no problem and they will fix any issue surrounding the walls and floor of bathtub that had water damage. He also told us that it would be a one day job and we would have a lifetime warranty. We agreed to the price of $6523.00 and were able to get financing. The installers then came about 3 weeks later on 11/2/19 at 8am and were completely unware that we had water damage and didn't expect to have to fix anything so they had to get approval from their manager to take the extra time since they were getting overtime, which they did and at 10 pm that night they said they could not finish the other side of the shower wall and there was also a terrible bow on the material they installed inside the shower. they told us someone would be out early next week around our work hrs to complete and to call office Mon to set up. We did that but we were told by customer service after 3 days of calling and not getting any answers that a sub contractor had to come out which he did a week after that but for an hour or two a day for five days and said he couldn't fix the bow in west shore material, they have to fix that. So now we had to wait another few weeks for a new wall to be ordered and finally had someone come out to replace that but because he had to fix the mess up the 1st installers did it caused another issue which someone still has to come back to fix. Every time we call their office the reps are very nasty and give us the run around. *** got so upset demanded to speak with the GM. He called *** and said he will have someone come out this week after we get off of work to fix the issue but was not apologetic at all about the major inconvenience this has caused.

Our sales process states: "If we remove your tub and find damage within the area we're replacing, we're going to repair it (if it's able to be repaired properly by our installers) or alert the homeowner so they can call a qualified professional (if the damage is extensive or beyond our ability).

In this case, the referenced damage was on an adjacent wall but outside the area we were replacing and, thus, outside our normal scope of work. Still, our installers removed the wall and made the repairs.

We went further by sending a drywaller out to drywall and mud. This process requires multiple visits to allow the mud to set. All of our contracts and sales materials stipulate that we will prepare the drywall for painting, but we will not paint.

We did acknowledge that the shower head was loose and have made arrangements to rectify that. Otherwise, our local management's conversations with the homeowner have them convinced the matter has been resolved to the customer's satisfaction.

I want to leave a follow up to my review dated 06/28/2019. West Shore Home responded quickly and accepted full responsibility in replacing my windows at no cost to me. The windows I received in replacement are higher quality than my original windows. The installation team was on time, professional and even handled a last minute color change my wife requested for exterior wrap.
I can not say enough about how well my wife and I both were treated by Jason Korns, John Prescott all the friendly people at the service department. Of course I have to mention the installation team - who came out on one of the hottest days of the year.
I would recommend West Shore Home to anyone looking at window replacement.
Our experience was high quality and professional from start to finish.

Purchased awning on 8/11/2017 and have had several problems when I call to report my concern they tell me that they will talk to their boss and get back to me, but they don’t. Three days ago I called with the complaint of remote is not working and I was told they same thing as last year. I called again today (5/30/2017) @ 11:22 am and got the voicemail

Dear Mr. Baldon,

I do apologize it took us a few days to schedule our technician there. We spoke to you on Tuesday however we were already booked at that moment. He is scheduled to be there today as you are aware. He will get you taken care of. Enjoy your awning and we greatly appreciate your business. Sincerely, America's Window.

Don't know about windows but I can say the walk in shower we looked at in the brochure was nothing like the one we have installed. They came and removed the tub before my wife or I saw the material they ordered. The salesman kept telling my wife that is what she asked for.Needless to say we had it installed and let me say that run don't walk from them for a walk in shower. We paid over 7000.00 dollars for something that looks more like 3 or 4 thousand dollars. They also had my wife sign paper work that only I was supposed to sign according to them.

West Shore Home Response • May 09, 2019

Dear Mr.. Let me start by saying that we are very appreciative of you and your business. We are a very reputable company with over 31,000 customers and top notch products. We sincerely care about our customers and do everything we can to ensure they are satisfied. Your opinion is very important to us however, we do feel our products are of great quality and value. I hope that you enjoy your new shower and begin see the quality and value. Sincerely, America's Window.

Customer Response • May 10, 2019

Once again I feel we were misled by the salesman about what the product we looked at in the brochure and what was installed, in the future you should let your customers see what was delivered before you rip out their bathtub and leave them no choice but to install what you shove down their throats. Also my wife was once again misled by your employees about signing my name on the acceptance paperwork. I may look into legal action on this matter.

Customer Response • May 30, 2019

I have yet to hear from you people about the signing of the paperwork that I was suppose to sign. I did not agree with the wording of the paperwork
and was not going to sign it, but your employee told my wife it would be OK for her to sign my name. I want a copy of this paperwork.

Customer Response • Oct 02, 2019

Just to follow up on your arrogant reply I will never ever use your company again or recommend you all to my enemies let alone friends.

I have had them at my house several times to fix the same window for the same problem I told them I want the window replaced and now they want to charge me a $65 trip charge when it was only $20 before. The windows are under a lifetime warranty which was transferred to me when I bought this house. The window is very heavy to lift and will not stay up on it's own

West Shore Home Response • Mar 18, 2019

We do have record of fixing a window at your home in 2014 and did collect a trip charge. You called in February 2019 to request service but would not set the service appointment due to not wanting to pay the trip charge. As a company with a lifetime warranty it would not be feasible to not charge a trip charge. We do have to cover our expenses of gas, vehicle usage, etc. We really appreciate your business very much and value you more then you know. However, it would just not be practical not to charge the trip fee. We hope that you understand the need for this in our warranty and we would be more than happy to honor your warranty if you would allow us to do so. Sincerely, America's Window.

West Shore Home Response • Mar 21, 2019

Dear ***,

Per the previous conversation you had with our service department we are more than willing to waive the trip charge and the labor for this service. Per the warranty when you are not the original homeowner that purchased from us you are also responsible for labor costs but that is being waived as previously stated. However, we will not be able to replace the window. We feel that we have been more than fair in waiving the trip fee and labor costs. We hope that you allow us to resolve the issue. Sincerely, America's Window.

Yes, I accept the offer of waving the trip charge in order to get my window fixed. If someone could call me from America's window to set up a time/day, I would appreciate it.

The house I bought had new windows installed by American Windows. The windiws are fantastic, air tight, easy to clean. Only way I know the wind is blowing is to look outside. I feel no air coming in around the windows. I have no complaints about the product or the company.
