We have been trying to reach Mr [redacted] for several weeks. He has not paid for the work we have done. We have done all the work we were contracted to do per our contract. We finally talked to him last night on 6-7-17. This complaint was filed on 6-5-17 after we left him a message...
saying it would be turned over to a collection agency. The homeowner stated again last night he was happy with the work. We would be happy to go to binding arbitration. However we will have to proceed with the collection process if we are not paid promptly. Moreover the claim rights were assigned over to us and the final check should have been paid directly to us from [redacted]. This is a violation of the law. Per our contract and assignment of claim we are to be paid directly and immediately. Please see the attached documentation.
Every phone call that I have made and every call my wife had made has made mention about the vegetation damage, shingle debris that was not cleaned up along with the siding/screen damage that we still have. As a former maintenance worker, a son of a siding contractor and a current graphic designer I truly understand that there are going to be variations in the color and granuals of the shingles. I know/understand how they are made in the factory and how the granuals are applied in a varied fashion to give color and depth to the roof. My wife and I really like the look of our neighbors home ( which has a roof that is a little darker than the sample in the shingle book that was brought to our home but was close enough that we would get a similar look to theirs using the Estate Gray ) so when we saw that one we were OK with the color as it was just a shade ( yes, I do know what shades and tints are ) lighter than our neighbors roof, but as Christine urged us to not to do the darkest sample, we compromised with this one as it was going to be much darker than what we had on our roof, but a 'little bit' lighter than theirs. So from what I can keep understanding to you is that Owens Corning created this sample book, took the time to photograph a sample set of shingles and cut a small sample and put them all together to let sales reps go to homes and sell their product....knowing that it looks NOTHING like the photo and sample in the book? As you keep saying it is the right color, but as seen in the previous PDF document, it is no where near the dark color that the Estate Gray is so how can that be. Are 'they' doing false advertising of their product? I work for a printing company and if a customer asks for a specific color such as purple and it comes out wrong, we don't tell them that its sorta purple-ish so deal with it, we work with them to help make it right so they WANT to recommend us to friends and family! We have industry standard color charts we have to go by ( Pantone ) so if a customer wants that color, we give them that color...not one sorta in the family as 'colors can vary'. That mentality should not work in the roofing industry! Why have 5 other roofers and contractors that I have shown all said it is not the same color and they ALL say it is closer to the Sierra Gray...not the Estate Gray, but you stick with your 'it is right so deal with it' mentality? Are all of them wrong as most of them install roofs for a living...I think they know what they are talking about? We know that it is not right as it does not even come close to trying to match the sample that we viewed and agreed upon. If it was a much darker shade of what we had on there now, we would not be having this part of the conversation, but as it is not, we will still continue to argue this until someone can explain how the colors can be that far off from the sample/photo to actual product ( a little I can see, but not this much ). Should we consider it a bait and switch? In addition to this note I will also be contacting the local office number that you had listed in your reply. I want to get this resolved and are willing to work with you, but it seems that you are not wanting to budge from your opinion that it is right, when it clearly can be seen that it is not the right color that was packaged in the bundles that were delivered and installed. If your company actually had a supervisor come out ( which I understand is normal policy on a job to have someone come up and inspect the crew and job as it is going on...but no one was available for our ENTIRE project ) when I requested one while the roof was going on, we could have addressed this then, but now 7+ months later we are still arguing this! Please help to show us why you have the A+ rating with the Revdex.com...normally that means that you do a great job and go above and beyond the customers expectation. At this point you are truly letting us down and we do not feel comfortable recommending you to anyone! Help us change our minds and make us right so we can continue on with our lives and get this behind us!

They have not contacted me last week.
I am rejecting this response because: We were promised on two occasions that the job would be started in about 3 weeks after we signed the contract on july 19 and again in late September I was told it would be finished before winter. I tried several times to make contact with this business in early January and they did not return any calls. I believe since this is such a small job and requires coordination with at least 2 other jobs, they would be willing to return my deposit and not have to worry about this matter any longer.

I am not sure if this is a complaint. If it is it needs to be retracted from our record. We were hired to do a roof and some miscellaneous minor repairs from a hail storm. We did the roof the week of 9-10-14 and they filed this complaint 2 weeks later. They were not calling...
our office to get a status. We have installed 8 to 10 jobs on their street as well. We cannot complete the minor trades until the siding match has come back. It takes time to do that. They were initially informed of that as well. We will work on the minor trades as they are ready to go. Their insurance doesn't pay a lot for these things so they must be coordinated. Please remove this complaint from our record.
There is a total misunderstanding here. The homeowner is demanding a refund check, but she lost one of the insurance checks that she was supposed to give us. We have had the refund check to deliver her ready for 2 weeks and yesterday was the first time we heard about a lost check from the...
insurance company. We called the insurance to ask for it to be reissued, but the homeowner needs to call to request that it is lost and resent. We are happy to swap checks as soon as this gets resolved.
