On 7-31-we move *** ***We were running behind schedule and we called the customer several times to make them aware of the situation*** asked for a discount and we offered a $discount for the delayWhen the movers arrived they started moving her and she stated to the movers
that she only wanted to pay for hours for the move*** the driver explained to her that they job was going to take longer than hours and that two hours would not be enough time to get the job doneThey told her to get started and signed the contract and the movers began the job. Prior to the movers arriving at the unload, I received a call from a very upset *** ***She was demanding a discount because the movers were taking to long to arrive at the unloading location and they must be lostAt that time I advised her of the location of the movers and told her that the movers had not made any stops along the way and that the truck has a GPS unit installed that can prove itShe became more irate and asked me if I was calling her a liar, she was cursing this time and I decided to hang up the phoneA couple of seconds later a gentleman called on her behalf and identified him self as her father. This person wanted to let us know that the move was taking way too long and that he could have done the job in hours himselfI told him that the movers where working the whole time and that they were doing the best possibleHis exact answer was that there was no way he was going to pay for more than two hoursThis was before they even began to unload and the job was already hours into the processAt this I told him since he had already paid with the credit card the deposit for booking his job that we were going to charge for the move the amount of the jobHe stated to me in his words that I was a pieces of ____ wetback and he would come to my office and kick my ____ if we didn't unload his belongingsAgain I hung up the phone and told the driver to close the truck and not to unload until they paid in cash since he had already mentioned that he was going to stop payment on the credit card.At this time I taught about my movers safety and decided to call the policeThe police arrived and asked him if he did not plan on paying to take us to court to get his belongings backHe refuse to pay and the police leftAt this time he parked his truck in front of our truckThe driver asked him to move his vehicle and he refusedWhen my driver called again fearing for her safety based on the comments that the family had made to our movers and driver I called the police againI told the police that if he did not move his car and let our employees free I would press charges for holding them against their will. At this time the police man said that he wanted to payHe only paid for a move that was over hours most of it wasted listening to this man that want to use the race card now and victimize himselfShame on himWanting something for nothing does not work!!!!His total bill would have been well over $with the waisted time that he kept my female driver in fear for her lifeShe said that at one time they told wait till it gets dark and we will beat the ___ out of you and get our ___ backNeedless to say we do on average over 15,moves per year and this one has to be one the most disrespectful customer we have experienced this year. There are record with the sheriffs department of this issue because of the verbal threats made against our employees and my self.We will not be issuing any discounts we have already gave him over a 50% discount just so that we could leave safe.Servando ***Nationwide Movers
We will continue to defend our reputation, we have done thousands of moves so far this year and none can top the experience that we had with this move. We called the sherifs department 2 time and we have records of the calls and records of the police presence to be able to escort our movers because of the threats made against our safety. We will continue to defend our actions in any matter possible. Thanks
We will continue to defend our policy and actions, we did over 15,000 moves, we try to please all of our customers but we can not accept violent threats. We will answer any questions and show the necessary paperwork once requested. Again we did the best we could with the violent situation we where under, we had to call the police twice so that our movers could leave the job site. Twice they were held against their will by a family that is supposed to be in law enforcement and on top of that we are supposed to give them a free move?I think that this has carried on too far with the writing back and forth, where ever is necessary we will defend our employees and our company.
Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I believe Don [redacted] Homes is responsible for the $1200 cost to repair my roof and I do not accept their response. On March 5, 2002, I contracted change order #2095 with Don [redacted] Homes . Specifically, that change order included "Upgrade to Elk Prestique II 25 yr. shingles" at a cost of $1253. Don [redacted] Homes did not upgrade the entire roof and instead installed [redacted] organic shingles on the roof caps rather than an Elk matching shingle. This was without my knowledge or approval. It was also not possible for me to identify that the inferior [redacted] shingles were installed on the roof caps without first removing the shingles from the roof and inspecting their underside. Therefore, Don [redacted] Homes breached change order #2095, they kept this hidden from me, and I could not recognize this with a reasonable inspection during the warranty period. In June of 2016, I first observed the roof cap shingles were failing. I then had several roofing contractors inspect the roof. It was not until then that I discovered to my surprise that Don [redacted] Homes installed the inferior [redacted] shingles on the roof caps. I promptly called David [redacted] at Don [redacted] Homes on July 1 and several times after to discuss and resolve the matter, but no one from Don [redacted] Homes would not return my calls or schedule a meeting to discuss the matter. Since I could not get a discussion on the matter with Don [redacted] Homes, I needed to proceed with the repair to avoid damage to the home from the failed roof. I obtained 3 bids that ranged from $1200 to $2400 for the roof repair. I selected BCI to repair the roof for $1200. BCI was also the subcontractor that Don [redacted] Homes used to install the original roof. In summary, since this was a hidden breach of contract that was not recognizable with a reasonable inspection, Don [redacted] Homes is obligated to rectify the matter even though it is outside the 1 year warranty period. Since Don [redacted] Homes would not discuss the matter and a prompt repair was necessary to avoid damage to my home, Don [redacted] Homes is responsible for the cost of the repair even though they did not schedule or general it.

To the Revdex.com this company is extremely unprofessional, and has continuously posed a sarcastic and threatening tone. I will follow through with all of my claims including the two I have open. This type of business practice should not be tolerated! I have read numerous reviews regarding this company since my experience and have noticed that this is a pattern for this company. This company is unprofessional, unethical, and needs to be shut down for their shady business practices. Working in criminal justice, I have noticed that this company displayes many criminal type characteristics and behaviors. This company should not be allowed to continue to operate. I will continue with my claim!
Regards,
We remained professional the whole time that you and your father where screaming and disrespecting our staff and employees, even the time that verbal threats of assault where made against our woman driver, which is stated on the sherifs report. We will continue to defend our position in this matter, you will not be able to get something for free through intimidation and verbal assaults against woman or men for that matter.
Once you have fulfilled you balance we will take care of your claim. We can not settle a claim with a balance pending!
Revdex.com:
I will not give a false review about your company in order to get whats due to me. You run your business terribly . I already had one apartment complex remove your name off their flyers. And will continue to spread the word about your company and how you blackmail your customers. Some local news people have also showed interest in this story. Because I believe in the principal of the matter, and dont want anyone else to go through what I have, I will not be blackmailed into a good review.

1 week after we moved [redacted] he called about the damages, we told him at that time that the we where responsible for the loading not the driving and unloading of his property, we use everything that he provided to pack his moving van, we also used our plastic wrap to protect as much as we could. We still had to follow company policy and went ahead and sent him a claim form.He sent the claim form back last August 17th,. We replied the 18th with an acknowledgment letter and a formal denial. There is not much more we can do for him.If you need further proof or documentation please let me know!
Please let us know if this job could be under a different name, we don't have you on our system as a move for any of those dates you have on the complain. Thanks for your help
I will respond as soon as see your claim form. Thank you for your help!

This is exactly what I mean by unprofessional. It clearly states on the receipt which I still have my copy of. Once I make my last payment of $65 not $95. I wonder what happens next? All this hassle and two of my tables were broken. What a way to do business!

We will respond as soon as they call on us to do so, really looking forward to it!
On 3/23-16 Our company sent a work order to repair the grout to our mason contractor on the home. The mason contractor did not follow up on the repair request because he was no longer doing business with us. We immediately hired and sent out a different mason to do the grout...
repair. He was unable to match the grout color and did not do the repair as it would have made the grout look worse. Gary our project manager had many conversations and texts with Michael and Susan S[redacted] regarding this repair and what route to take. The last conversation that we had was that we could either grout it and have it not match 100%, or caulk the crack instead. The S[redacted] did not respond to Gary or our office on a preference for the repair, so no further work was ordered. Our office never received a letter in the mail from the S[redacted] regarding this complaint so that is why there was no further action taken on it. We apologize if there was a miscommunication as we were unaware that the S[redacted] still wanted that work done. After receiving this notice, we immediately contacted the mason and he has called the S[redacted]s to gain access to their home to re-grout the caulk. Our files indicate all other warranty claims were repaired in accordance with our Limited One Year Warranty and industry standards. This should resolve the concern in full. Thanks! -Belman Homes Team
