At a local art fair, I "won" a free three day weekend at a local resort, to be told later that I needed to visit first. After a 2.5 hour drive on Father's day, my husband and I were subjected to relentless sales pitch. Questions included- how much money do we make? What is our family structure? Where do we vacation? During the "pitch" the young man kept saying" maybe this isn't for everyone" I appreciated the out that it gave me. Near the end, that statement changed to " if you don't want to spend time with your family-I guess this isn't for you". The woman manager "closer" suggested that all state parks are home to meth labs, and dangerous. In addition, she had gross tattoos all over her chest, and when I flat out declined the sales pitch, she said we should just tear up the free weekend pass- " since you and I know that you won't use it" Did not appreciate the sales tactics and urge anyone possibly interested to save your money and forget Rocky Fork Ranch.
