Review: Last fall they came to remove a tree that could potentially have fallen on my house as well as remove other branches that were touching the house.

My front yard was very wet and I was concerned their truck would sink. Chuck assured me it would be fine, but if it did mess my yard up, they would absolutely repair the damage.

We went over and over this multiple times before I gave them the go ahead to remove the tree.

The truck did in fact sink into my yard creating two very large holes that were then worsened when the tow truck DRAGGED this massive vehicle across my lawn creating a two foot deep and double tire width wide ditches.

They also did not remove all of the branches they said they would because of the rain that day and PROMISED they would return to finish the job...which they never did.

Chuck told me they would fix my yard and I truly believed him. I did not ask them to lay sod or even reseed my yard...I just wanted it put back level the way it was.

They did show up many weeks down the line, unannounced and "push" the dirt back into the huge holes but, did NOT repair it as it was. They didn't call to say they were even coming. If they had, I would have been sure to be here to tell them what they did was NOT a repair on the job. There are large ditches in my front yard now, that my children fall into when walking to the bus everyday. It's a hazard, that they caused and are now not repairing.

They no longer answer the phone when I or my husband call and do NOT returned our messages.

I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, before filing a complaint because they were nice guys. I also waited for the winter to break because I knew the ground would be hard to repair during that time. But, I've had enough and I want my property fixed. I have pictures as well as video of this incident happening so their can be no denying that they created this issue.Desired Settlement: I want them to bring dirt to fill in the holes they made across my front lawn, as they promised they would do.

I'm not asking for them to seed or lay sod to repair my lawn.

I just want it level and safe for my kids to walk on and to no longer collect rainwater like a pond on the lawn. It's terrible.

In regards to complaint number [redacted] against the Tip Top Tree Service, the issue has not been resolved. The company did not complete their offer to resolve.

Tip top did a good job taking down my trees, but dropped the limbs instead of lowering then, they broke several items in my yard threw the parts away I guess so I wouldn't see them, left their trash, in yard and on steps to my door. They were in a hurry to get paid and now I know why. If you hire them make sure you are there to watch what they do.

Review: We paid this company to remove two large trees from my property. during the course of the work, they damaged a sewer cleanout pipe and "check valve" on my property. We contacted the owner and made him aware of the damage. they promised to come out and either repair the damage or have their insurance carrier cover the damage. My side walk was crushed by a tree and several large craters are still in my yard.

The owner promised to come on Sept 4th 2015. But since that time, we have not seen or heard from them. A certified letter was sent to this company as well. The damaged property which is substantial is municipal property (Petersburg City) and can only be repaired by the city. This company is responsible for the damage and corresponding cost of repairs. Our expectation is that they accept responsibility and pay for all of the damages :personal and public

Revdex.com spoke with the owner of the business, who stated that he had spoken with the customer about the damage to the pipe, and he offered to repair the pipe but was told by the customer it needed to be fixed by the City. He stated that he informed the customer to send him the invoice once the work was completed and he would pay for it, but has not received an invoice to date. He said that the yard issue he was also not made aware of, but stated that while fallen trees may leave indentations where they fall, he is not a landscaper and that would not be an issue he can address. He said that he is willing to resolve the damage but requires an invoice be sent to him of the repair cost.

I contacted Tip Top Tree Service to handle my needs and was thorougly impressed with not only their work and professionalism, but also their fair prices. I had some challenging trees in my yard which were compromising to the safety of my home. The owner came out and discussed the issues and the safety issues of having these trees removed. Upon discussing the pricing, owner gave an option of financing in the chance that price may be an issue, saying, I don't want your money, I want your business. I can tell you, I received a few estimates beforehand, and my families safety and well being was not emphasize emphasized emphasised to this degree. The crew showed up on time and did a very good job. They were very professional. I would definitely recommend this company to friends and neighbors.

After contacting two other companies to get an estimate, neither of which showed up or bothered to call back, we called Tip Top and they gave us a free estimate the same day. After seeing the job they deemed it a priority and fit us in as soon as possible while working around our schedule. It was a difficult job to do but was done with precision and in a timely manner. The owner and crew are genuinely good people that do outstanding work at an extremely fair price. We would highly recommend this company!

I had the company remove 6 large pine trees in my back yard in Hopewell, VA in December, 2013. Once we negotiated, the price agreed to was VERY reasonable. The crew did a very good job, and the workers were polite and friendly hard workers. The only problem I had was the "surprise" I had when they did the stump grinding. They left the sawdust in the holes, later stating that they left it to settle, so owners wouldn't have as much dirt to get to later fill the holes. Felt this was odd, I had trees removed by others in the past and they had never left behind sawdust, but I didn't question it. Later, once I got that up, was "quite" a job - took me one herbie trash container per stump to remove it, and probably weighed 400 + lbs. a container! Rain & snow made it even more of a job. As well, they had to be recalled to come back to stump grind more, as they had left 1/2 stump in one under sawdust and 1/4 stump in another under sawdust. But, they did come back and get this done a day while we were gone; however, once they left, large parts of the stumps were still discovered well above ground, that I later had to deal with an axe to get it right. Owner [redacted] was pleasant to work with, and seems to want to do a good job. Still, overall, with what I had done, I got a good price. If you use them, be sure to check that the stumps are removed - FULLY, before they leave. If the owner reads this - I would suggest that a supervisor fully inspect physically to make sure ALL of stumps are completely removed, before leaving the jobsite. I do note that they have only been in business since 2013, so they are still learning, and hopefully they'll learn by Reviews like this. Hard workers, and pleasant to work with.

Review: On or about February 2014, Tip Top Tree Service was performing a tree cutting job on my neighbor's Yard ([redacted]) when the tree was cut they damage a Vinyl Fence on my yard. I talk to the person in charge that day and he promise me that before they leave the fence were going to be repair. They left and nothing got fix. I got their number from my neighbor but he said that they will be coming by that week to get the rest of the money he owe to them and that he will call me when they arrive. Well after talking to the person in charge he called the person that was driving him which it was the guy I talk to the day the damage occurred. They both said that the fence will be taking care and I explain to them that if it will not get fix within two weeks I was going to make a formal complain first and if I don't get any results this way. Then I will not have any choice but to take them to court and exercise my legal rights. They Damage my property and did not fix it but they got paid for their service and all I would like is to get my property fix the way it was. Also they are suppose to be license and insured. If they are insured they should have no problem getting my property fix. If this were that somebody got hurt then what would happen then. The owner of this company, I believe should be responsible for any damage that their employees cause in any job. Thank You!!!Desired Settlement: Repair my fence immediately please!!!!

They allegedly said that my fence was already broke. I have a witness my neighbor (the person that they did the job for) he saw the fence been damage and also he knows that my fence did not have any damage. This people are running a shady business and damage people property and then said that they are not responsible. I imagine that if this was a person that got hurt they will live the person without help. I am a Disable Retired US Army Veteran and they will not get away with this, I will exercise with County Court and then they can solve this situation. This the type of Business they offer to the community a shady job and sub-standard people. They should not be running any business with the customer service they have.

After 2 1/2 months I got the piece of the fence that they broke. It is the wrong piece but I decided to take it anyway, because I do not want nothing to do with this company. They lie to me and the Revdex.com, and now they want to fix my fence. That show how guilty they are and they have the nerve to said my fence was already broken. Quick service at a good price. They were cutting down a neighbors tree when I asked them to take down a large poplar. They left the equipment there and knocked it out the next day.
Of the three estimates I got theirs was by far the best and the service was very professional.

Today Tip Top Tree Service removed two trees and several large branches from my property. I could not have been more pleased. They honored their commitment. The staff was professional and friendly. The clean up was thorough. My property is so much improved. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone wanting great tree service at a fair price.

The men from Tip Top Tree Service were awesome. They completed the work I wanted done in a professional manner. They were on time and worked diligently during the day, It was a big job that they accomplished in one day when they had thought it would take longer.

My mother had a time-dependent and critical need to have some trees and other growth removed. Tip Top was recommended by a family member. They listened well and scheduled an estimate the same day, which was accepted. When Tip Top arrived at my mother's house, they had a crew ready to work and in sufficient numbers to do the job right. I was very impressed that the firm took the time to 'huddle' and go over the job so there would not be misunderstandings as the days went on. Tip Top took down a tree in my yard that was close to my house as well as other flower beds/plants. The owner and crew were all very professional, friendly and careful when cutting and dropping limbs so as not to damage any surrounding plants or other items. They were doing such a good job in fact that my neighbor across the street came to talk with the owner and hired them on the spot to come over to his house after finishing with my tree and take down two of his trees!
