I moved from AZ - NYi had a very good experience with First USA Movingfrom beginning to end sales rep *** was very nice *** at pick up was great and as well the moving crewby belongings got delivery with the window of delivery they told me over all I am very happy with the service I got form this company
Move is moving done right!!! I had this company handle a move for me from Arizona to New York and I was very pleased with the service I received They gave my an awesome price for what I had to move versus what alot of other major movers were trying to quote me So this company saved me alot of money but also got a great service The movers were great and handle my items with the upmost care I didn't have any damages to speak of and my delivery was also in a timely manner, I believe within about weeks from when I was ready I most certainly would refer them to friends, family, and associates as they know how to move with efficiency and care!

I had to move furniture that I bought a couple from one location to another, Because the furniture was wraped and disassembled by the previous owners, and being I was not at the pick up location,I asked the movers to please make sure that all the shelves, screws, connectors and bolts were present for each pieceThey took the time and asked the couple that I bought the furniture from to show them all the needed pieces before loading the furniture on the trucks move showed up when they said they would and delivered the furniture at the time agreed uponThat was peace of mind
On February 7th I hired a moving company for a move from Arizona to FloridaThis move was ordered from and estimated by USA Moving & Storage (Job No: ***)1st Choice Moving and Storage was the actual moverThe total items include pieces of furniture (TV stand, sofas, desk, file cabinets, floor lamp, end table, Queen bed, folding chairs and coffee table) and boxesAs agreed upon by the company, all furniture will be wrapped by the mover
The original estimate was lbs which cost $When 1st Choice Moving and Storage came on the day of moving, the head of the movers increased the cost to $He claimed the furniture is way heavier than the estimateThis is a 77% increase, which puts the total weight at ~lbsThey knew we were unable to turn this ask down because we had already cleared out of the house and ready to leave
When furniture arrived to my Florida house, 1st Choice Moving and Storage insisted that I had to pay full balance in
I contracted with USA to move my household from Phoenix to Los AngelesThe first sign that things where not as they seem was at the time of the move out they jacked the price up twiceThe first time the estimate was changed based on my inventory and that I understandThe second time was when the crew showed up the morning of and I felt I had no choice but to approve the additional bigger issue was when they deliveredThe truck was to come on a certain day chosen by themI took off work, they never showed up, day two same thingfinally day three past the promise date they show up telling me the truck was involved in a total loss accidentThe driver showed me pictures of the cab that was literally destroyedI lost three days of pay and the office never communicated to me as I was speaking directly tot he driver at that pointThey begin to unload, piece after piece is damaged, the sofa is broken in half, the dishes are all broken, the glass pictures, frames all brokenT
Arrangement of services was quick and very easyEfficient & professional movers who were careful with my things while also moving quicklyWould definitely recommend and use MOVE again as they are the best in their business!

Do not use this companyIn the beginning, I was in contact with a lady named Britney that was great; she was friendly, flexible, and gave off good vibesShe quoted me for my move and on the day the movers came, they told me they had to charge me more to appropriately wrap my belongings to prevent damageThe total came out to $more than the original quoteWhen I was ready for my belongings (I moved out of state), I called Britney and she told me she’d have to look into the schedule to see how soon my stuff could be transported; she said a lady named Maria would call me later on to discussI let her know I didn’t want to secure a storage unit until I knew when my stuff would arrive so I wasn’t paying for an empty storage unitThis was on a WednesdayI did not hear back and assumed they were just busyI called the following Monday and Britney said she didn’t have any updates for me but would have Maria call me back as soon as she got into the officeI did not receive any call backsTuesday came and a man called stating he was nearby with my stuff; since this was unexpected and no one communicated with me, we agreed he would deliver my belongings the following day so I had time to make arrangementsHe texted me at 10pm that same night asking if I can meet him at the storage unit at 8am the following day; I agreedI went to the storage facility at 750am and waitedHe did not showI texted him around 8am and he responded, stating they just woke up and he’d be there in an hour and a halfI was annoyed but there was nothing I could doHe still came late and the gentleman he was with made casual conversation with me; he said they met with his parents and had breakfast this morningI was a bit offended as it sounded like they could have notified me ahead of time that they were going to be late so I didn’t waste my time going to the storage facility at 8amThey unloaded my stuff and to my disappointment, many of my new pieces of furniture were broken and damagedBoxes that were marked “fragile” were squished and in poor conditionI was making notes of this and taking pictures and the man said to me, “They aren’t gonna care about your damaged boxes.” After they unloaded my stuff, I called Britney, extremely upset, and she told me she’d have Maria call me back to file a claimStill have not heard anything from themBritney was great until the company had my possessions; she then had a very different attitude and always brushed me off, claiming this Maria person would call me, which never happenedAbsolutely poor customer service and I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

I hired 1st Choice Moving and Storage, aka USA Moving and Storage in Phoenix, AZ to move me from my house in Cave Creek, AZ to Longmont, CO in July They offered one month FREE storage, which supported my moving schedule and needsThe greatest warning I can give you is to be aware that they use the very shady business practice of bidding low over the phone, using a very inaccurate inventory form, and then add hundreds of dollars at the time of pick-upInitially, based on my recent previous move weight and cubic feet size with a National moving company (and no additions or deletions of goods) 1st Choice Moving and Storage quoted cf as my shipment size and a cost to ship by them of $2,All of my belongings filled about 3/of a 26' U-Haul truckAt pick-up, they said I had a much LARGER shipment (even though I had the previous moving paperwork to prove it) and charged me $3,600!!
I suspected the supervisor, Rob, was swindling me so I said I would like to talk to my 1st Choice Moving and Storage sales coordinatorHe said it wouldn't make any difference, as he was my sales coordinator's "boss"I called and complained to Shawn, who gave no advice or help, and then came back to RobRob then lowered the price to $3,I could see it was a "shell game" between the office and RobI should have shown him the door, but had a serious deadline to get my goods out of the house with contractors coming in to do major remodeling the next day
When I say "they", I mean you need to be extremely cautious about dealing with their crew chief / supervisor, who comes at the pick-up, Rob (aka Rotem)He is aggressive and demeaning, will bully you about your items and sizes of boxes, even claim he has to charge you more for "packing" items like slipping a plastic cover over a mattress that YOU bought at Home Depot for the move or for packing tape, which their sales office says is INCLUDED in the their original estimateIn fact, all extra needs packing materials were discussed with Shawn, Sales Coordinator, of which there were VERY little and he calculated these into his bidRob adds on whatever he thinks he can get away with by bullying you!!
Rob will also claim that your boxes are "larger" than you first claimed on your inventory estimate formThis form only has small, medium, and large categories and he will claim you have EXTRA LARGE itemsHe also claimed I had items I had "not reported over the phone" so had to add a much higher cost (agin, hundreds of dollars)The ONE item was one light-weight, flat, folded up laundry drying rackThat was it!!
As an experienced, well-organized mover, I had all of my boxes completely packed, sealed, and well-labeledI had even taped closed all folding step stools, brooms, floor lamps, trash basket nests, etcAll they had to do is carpet-wrap the little furniture I had
His crew will not listen to you when you want anything packed a special wayI had paid a carpenter $pre-move for a special wooden crate to be built to move a fragile glass top of a tableThe movers would not do as I asked to use it, wanted to do it (more quickly) their wayParts of the glass table were left outside of the crate, just wrapped in moving blanketsI was afraid these would be broken or lostThey left trash around the house - old empty tape spools, etc., and were not professional at all in how they left my home
MAJOR WARNING: Again, "Rob" will fight with you and claim that he is the "BOSS", that no one back at the office can help you if you callHowever, CALL ANYWAY!!!!! I did call Shawn and he acted sympathetic to me, but seems to be very intimidated by this Rob fellow and has no power at allAsk for the owner, ARIK!!!!
I asked for an in- home, VISUAL ESTIMATE, but they said they were "too busy" for this I called several weeks before the move for this estimateDO NOT accept a bid over the phone!!! Insist that they send their sales estimator out to your house BEFORE you sign a contract with them to give you a NOT TO EXCEED ESTIMATE with his guaranteed signature and date on it
Another shady practice of 1st Choice Moving and Storage is how long it takes for this company to get your household goods to you AFTER they have picked them upMost moving companies take about a week to ten days, at the very most1st Choice will have you sign an agreement for much longer than this and delay delivery as long as you let them get away with it
I had a smaller load and knew they would add me to a larger van with other customersHowever, I was only miles away from Phoenix and it took weeks for them to deliver to CO, but only after I called at least times to ask when my delivery would happenIt was only by this sheer persistence that I believe I got on the delivery schedule at all
There is something very shady about how they schedule these deliveriesIt has nothing to do with your needs or good customer serviceThey have lots of excuses and you will be transferred from one person to another to get answersThey say they will "get back to you" but won'tYou will have to call again and again
I got very concerned that it was taking so long to get my small shipment delivered just hours away, miles, from Phoenix to the Denver areaI decided to google this company and to my horror, I found terrible reviews on Yelp while I was waiting in CO for my goodsOther customers, like I have here, reported terrible problems with "Rob", large increased picharges, and especially, those who had had their goods put in 1st Choice's storage, found their boxes had been opened, gone through, even a vacuum cleaner used, full of old hair that was not theirs
Check out Yelp yourself!! I was petrified waiting for my goods to arrive, not sure what might be stolen or brokenAs it turned out, my goods arrived in good order except for two broken floor lamps and many boxes with no sticker numbersMy delivery driver told me it was because my goods had never been put into their warehouse, but instead had been sitting for weeks on his extra van, that they arrived in better orderSee story below why you should NEVER use longer-term storage with 1st Choice Moving and Storage!!!
However, I discovered on delivery that the inventory that Rob did on piwas missing LOTS of numbered stickers, some boxes had double numbers on them, and these unstickered items had not been put on the inventoryIt took a great deal of time to locate all the boxes on the inventoryI am extremely organized and had every box well labeled on all sides and it was a nightmareOn pick up and delivery, BE SURE to take the time to check over your inventory before it leaves your house and at the delivery destinationDo not feel pressured to just "make a claim later", as they suggest!! Without a sticker on every item, they can say you never had it in your shipment and steal it from you or not allow you to make a claim!!!!!
The delivery team in Colorado was excellent and went well beyond to help deliver and set up our household goodsI was told that my goods had gone directly onto Steve's van from my AZ house, were stored there for the weeks before coming to CO, not at the 1st Choice warehouse Phoenix weather has been 110-degrees for weeks, so 1st Choices claim that my goods would be stored in a cooler warehouse did not happen Who was guarding my goods?
I was told at my delivery by my moving crew that, if your goods go into the 1st Choice Moving and Storage warehouse in Phoenix, they have a surveillance camera that runs 24xHOWEVER, the man who manages this warehouse, "RUBIN", and his accomplice, "JOHNNY", have a way of turning this off while they go through all your goods, steal from or disrupt your boxesThey can erase the video tape and make it look like nothing has happened so the owner and manager of this company, ARIK SKULNICK, does not know about their criminal behavior
RED FLAG: By the way, "JOHNNY" is also one of the packing up crew members in Phoenix, so he sees everything you are shipping when he packs you up at your house!!
CAN YOU SEE NOW WHY I AM WARNING YOU TO _NEVER HIRE THIS COMPANY???!!!
If you have been duped like me, over-charged and suffered damages, aggressive bullying by Rob, or delayed delivery of your goods and feel helplessif you put your trust in 1st Choice Moving and Storage and thought YOU just had to be "patient", but still got horrible customer service, PLEASE report this company to the Revdex.com (Revdex.com), on Yelp, Craigslist, on all moving review websites, AND send a letter directly to the owner of 1st Choice Moving and Storage:

Be very careful about FREE STORAGE deals, too!! Get references from other customers who have USED their storage services!! Ask how long they waited for delivery and how many times they had to call this company to get their goods on a delivery schedule
In summary, DON'T USE 1st CHOICE MOVING AND STORAGE, also doing business as USA MOVING AND STORAGE, out of Phoenix, Arizona, or probably anywhere else!!
I moved from AZ to VA with Move I would like to say this is a very good company, great sales,and moving crew and customer service I was a little worried about using a moving company to move everything I work so hard go get but this company from the 1st time Shawn(sales rep) contracted me and I told him all my concerns he gave me peace of mind and he was not wrongfrom the pick up to the delivery of my belonging everything was greatI really recommend 500Move I did to my sister and she also had a great move with them
I have used this moving company times now1st and 2nd time there were great!!!! Good price, professional and fast, great customer service I dealt with Maria most of the time she helped me and made sure my 2nd moved happen good and stress free just like my 1st moveONCE AGAIN I RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY !!
The person who picked my household goods up from this company, was extremely aggressive, very arrogant, and forced me to pay $dollars above the quoteMy original quote was for cubic feet, when in fact, I only used cubic feetThis was the most unpleasant experience I have ever had with a moving company, please do not use them! This person told me, he would call me within hours of my delivery, which he did, on a Saturday night, I did not have the cash on hand, he charged me a $dollar inconvenience fee for using my debit card, and told me, and I quote, it wasn't his fault, he did his job and didn't care what I thought, end of quotePlease please please, do not use this company, the person loading your household goods, is extremely unpleasant
All my belonging was delivered in the time period they said it wouldThey were helpfully and made my move stress freeEverything is delivered to me the same way they took itNothing was lost or brokenI was very pleased with the whole moving experience
This company moved us from Gilbert to San Tan Valley in mid-DecemberThey retained items to be stored with them at a rate of $per square footI asked the moving people how I would know what the square footage would be and they said I would be contacted with that informationThe first month was supposed to be free, so I wasn't to start paying until after January 18th I received no communication for some time - thought perhaps they only billed quarterly and waited until the beginning of AprilWhen I still had not heard from them I emailed the only person I had dealt with through the entire process I explained the situation saying I didn't want to receive a huge bill and be expected to pay it all at once I have proof of my emails When I didn't get a response within a week, I emailed again Shortly after the second email I received a telephone call from the company accusing me of not paying my bill and threatening to sell my property Did not say what was owed I call

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY - under whatever name they are choosing to use
I was moving from AZ to OH and my quote came from Anthony (Sales VP in CA) done completely over the phone and estimating the sizes of the boxes just by our conversation He quoted me $in a binding estimateI packed my own items and called Anthony days prior to when pickup was scheduled and he said he'll just add the boxes at no chargeWhen the "supervisor" showed up, he handed me a completely different "binding" agreement with a price increase of $& I wasn't sent a copy It may not sound like much but what's the definition of binding then? In addition, the guy running the show on day of pickup was extremely rude and if I didn't need my items picked up that day, I would have thrown him off my property In addition to his guys grabbing the boxes and loading them onto the truck ) First USA Moving & Storage, they stole roles of my packing tape I told the "lead" guy that my items had to be delivered as soon as possible, but he chose to put a date down on the paperwork for a week later When I called Anthony to tell him that I was displeased with the whole situation and that I planned on calling the owner of the company, he said he would pass the information on I haven't done that yet, but plan to find who the owner is (if there is one) and will register a complaint
So, I waited weeks to get my things
In addition, the communication from the dispatcher is ridiculous I tried to reach her on several occasions to get a timeframe as to when I could expect delivery and never received a return call I finally got a call after calling Anthony numerous times and he told me that the dispatcher is just busy Oddly enough, she called the next day to tell me that my items are on a truck (couldn't tell me what company) and that the driver would give me a hour notice prior to delivery and to make sure that I had a money order with the correct amount for payment
The driver called (Paul Arpin M & S) with a hour window When he arrived, I assisted in getting the boxes off the truck and into storage and when I initially packed the boxes, I had several of them clearly marked with bright orange stickers -
FRAGILE HANDLE WITH CARE I guess they can't read because several boxes had the tops crushed and others had the sides crushed
Overall, it was a horrible experience and I will never recommend this company to anyone that I like This company is a broker who takes a deposit, adds up your items over the phone, gives you a binding estimate and then, changes the pricing which you have to pay in order to get your itemsHow's that fair? It's NOT!
I had to move some very heavy and large appliances up two flights of stairsThanks to Move's crew to get this job with easeCrew showed up on time and got the job done quickly and courteouslyThe process of scheduling the crew was easyDefinitely would recommend Move for sure
