Rates are higher than competitors. Use apartment personnel to help sell their services. Impossible to get through to fully automated voicemail to terminate service. Pick a better company, this is very close to a scam operation

Very upset at lack of ownership from customer service and even (chris) supervisor for not rectifying an automated system error and being charged duplicate payment with my checking account debit card from bank. Have been with you guys for so many years. I have a residential account and business account and this has been the last unacceptable experience I will accept from your employees and policy. I will not wait 120 days to get my money back when currently it's an overpayment and system error. I feel ripped off and on top of that overcharged since any bank to dispute a charge will charge u more.

The people I've talked to over at Stream always seemed calm and professional, and when there was an issue it was handled in that manner. The company earned my respect this way, and I plan on keeping them on just for that reason.

My review is with regard to the discontinue/disconnect service policy that Stream Energy has.
My advice to anyone who will be discontinuing service (selling a residence or moving to another location), be VERY careful as to how you word your conversation with the customer care representative.

Stream provides energy services to three out of four of our business locations for now and things couldn't have been smoother. Very pleased with their CS reps, their rates, and how they've been handling our agreement over the past few years. If you're looking for a solid energy provider, I'd say consider Stream Energy.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I've been with Stream energy for several years and decided to switch providers since their prices have gone up.
I made several calls to Stream and the wait time on hold one time was over 2 hours to speak to a representative.
When I did switch I received a final bill that included an early termination fee. I was no longer under contract. I called Stream and finally they found their mistake and said they would "waive" the early termination fee.
The right hand seems oblivious to what the left hand is doing at Stream. And most of the customer service representatives are rude.
I don't often leave reviews about companies, but this one is horrible and should be avoided.

Stream Energy always seemed like a professional company to us, there haven't been any issues worth mentioning in the three years we've been getting energy from them.

Stream is a wonderful company with wonderful opportunities and very competitive rates. Having been with them for so long, I see a lot of issues with knowledge of utilities from other reviews. Firstly, Stream is an Energy Supplier, not the original incumbent energy company that owns the poles and wires. If your power needs turned on, it's not Stream, it's the company that owns the poles and wires. That fact needs addressed immediately so it can do away with half the complaints on here. Their mobile service is cheaper and more bang for the buck than any plan I've ever seen in America, both on coverage and 20 GBs of data on EACH phone line. Plus, Stream donates to many natural disasters that have taken place, matching dollar for dollar to the American Red Cross, even giving $600 to those affected by the hurricanes in Texas and donated food drives in Florida where my brother is located! The company has their heads on straight, unfortunately many don't understand how deregulation works. This company also supports countless families to degrees unimaginable. Thank you for all you guys do!

Our company recently bought real estate that was previously connected with this company, we put away going through with the purchase for a few weeks since we're a startup that's expanding rapidly at this time and we feared there'd be issues with electric and that the delay to re-connect and get it back up in that building would be too long and would cost a lot. We didn't have a choice so we went through with the purchase, as we really needed the building. To our surprise we received a confirmation email and a call within 48 hours, and got electric up and running the same week! Needless to say we were impressed, as we've previously heard the process can sometimes take two weeks if not more. Thank you!

Best company ever! I've been with Stream energy for over 4 years and never had an issue. Customer service is top-notched.
Never plan on switching somewhere else.

Has been providing energy + mobile services since around 2014, satisfied for the time being. If I need to say more I'd add that I appreciate their honesty and the way they talk to their clients in regards to being straightforward and appreciative.

This is the WORST utilities company ever!!!! I think the apartment complex I'm renting from (Carrington Court in Duluth GA) set us up by telling us we had to use/sign up with their service (I feel like they were paid or given a business discount to direct their tenants to Stream). The prices and fees are ridiculous and the customer service is horrible. I specifically asked about ALL MONTHLY FEES that would be incurred BEFORE signing up. I was told only a customer service fee of $5.99/mo and whatever usage I incur would be billed to me. That was a lie!!!!

I was also charged for NSFs when I show no attempt from my bank account to draft those funds. My bill was paid ON TIME with no issues. The customer service rep said I needed to provide copies of my bank statement showing there was no attempt to withdraw those funds on the date they charged me for the NSF fee. When I did provide the requested documentation, they repeated the same lines they gave me on the phone: "well we show attempt to withdraw these funds on this day and it didn't go through. So you have to pay the NSF fee." What was the purpose of making me get that proof and email it when they had no intentions of accepting it??? The rep was very rude and refused to let me speak to a supervisor! I hate this company and all consumers in GA need to beware!!!!!

On March 28, a Stream analyst (Norma) called and spoke to Ms. regarding her complaint. Issue has been resolved and Ms. appreciated the call.

WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD WITH A UTILITY PROVIDER. I recently bought a house logged on to stream and set up my electric to be turned on. Received a confirmation email. No calls nothing. As a customer receiving a confirmation email thought everything was set up and good to go. Been in my new house for a month and came home to no electric. Called to find out stream NEVER put the ticket in!!!! That it would be the next day before service, no apology nothing. I called oncore because that's the logo on my meter outside the house. They assured me as soon as they received the order they would remotely turn my electric on and they were way more helpful then stream. After waiting now 5 hours still no ticket sent to oncore for my service to be started. Called stream twice to make sure they sent a ticket and it had today date. I was clearly lied to. So now I have a fridge and freezer full of food gone bad and I will not be able to even take a shower till probably tomorrow night as I have a water well that needs electricity. I am so disappointed in stream and will not reckoned them to anyone else in the future. BAD BUISNESS. Don't lie and tell me a tickets went through and send me a confirmation mail when nothing at all has been done. I wish I could give negative one star at this point. I'm beyond furious, This is absolutely reficulius. So thank you stream for costing me all the food in my refrigerator and not being able to shower because you can't get your stuff together.

Five stars across the board for efficient service over three years and decent customer support. (Trust me decent is extremely good in our environment when you consider how lacking other, similar companies are). Used their energy service and more recently mobile.

My bill the past few months has been over 300!!! I live in a tiny duplex. It's because they're having oncor charge me around 100 extra on top of my bill every month. I'm practically paying double. This is terrible company. Go anywhere else but with stream energy. This was a huge mistake going with them I've been screwed out of so much money.

This company provides a good energy service and takes care of their long-term customers. Thank you.

Nothing much to add really. This has been a very good experience for our company. Both gas and electric that Stream offers come at a great deal and a reliable service. Their CS reps are informative and useful to talk to as well. Any kind of hassle or hiccup we ever had was dealt with swiftly.

Really happy with their service. The associate who told me about the company was polite, knowledgeable and very pleasant to deal with. He was truthful about what the company did (I did not understand that they supply my delivery company with energy) and was available when I had questions days later. Stream is excellent, I have saved money every month since I signed up with their fixed rate plan. Would recommend to others.

Been with them for energy and cell phone service for over two years. Plan to stay with them for many more years.

Stream needs to be investigated for fraudulent billing.
I have been with them since they opened over a decade ago.
All was fine until November of 2017.
I began getting two bills a day apart.
Then they would say it was because a meter was changed.
Then it happened again.
And they would say I requested flex billing, which I never did.
I want one bill a month at a certain time. Period.
None of this has happened over almost 2 years.
I am wanting to cancel their service and get the fees waived.
They are making false claims and giving us two bills.
And no one seems to be able to fix it.
They promise they will and then there is no bill for 6 weeks.
Then all the sudden 2 bills of different amounts within a day of each other.
They need to be investigated.
Absolutely terrible customer service and they cannot solve problems at all.
Run from this company.
I had been with them since 2005 in Dallas.
Something major is going wrong with this company.
