We are so displeased with doing business with this facility. We though the deal was too good to be true. The storage units are dirty and some have the planks coming apart off the floor. The units are not built on the property, they are containers and some are not even leveled on the ground. There are critters (rats) running around as I pointed out to my boyfriend, but the deal was good since all we are storing are metal tools. The office girls do not know what they are doing. On sign up 10/02/2016 she did not explain what was needed to rent the truck that was supposedly FREE. On the day of move-in on 10/8/2016 we wasted time finding an ATM to get cash because they only accepted cash for the $50 deposit. We needed to show our insurance and got charged an additional $25 for their insurance. The girl seemed annoyed that we were there at 10:00 a.m. as she was just arriving to work ten minutes after 10. We were supposed to be there by 10:30 but the other girl never mentioned that at sign up. She was also annoyed that her co-worker did not mention the details of us needing to provide cash and proof of insurance. Customers kept calling asking for rates and information and she commented that it was the weekend, no one should be bothering and calling her. The attitude started. She went over the truck dents and scratches and said to have the truck in before 4:00 p.m.. We arrived back at the storage at 3:30. She comes out to tell us there is a $25 fee for every half hour past 4 because we did not check in with her in the office once the truck was unloaded. NEVER had she mentioned about the fees. She only said to have the truck back on the property by 4 because she wanted to go home on time. The truck rental is never free. They try to take as much as they can by withholding information from you. They obviously seen us through all the cameras. This is not a way to do business. This is dishonesty to the highest. My boyfriend received a call from Cindy the manager today 10/10/2016, stating that she was kicking us out of the container because my boyfriend attacked the girls in the office. This is untrue. We both were upset at their illegal ways of conducting business and our voices got loud. I'm sure they would feel upset and the same would occur if this happened to them. My boyfriend does not attack people nor get in their faces. He is a grown man. Those girls should grow up. We will be happy to go elsewhere and make sure that our friends and family in Moreno Valley know not to do business with SortAmerica Management at Alessandro Self Storage. In addition there is no Corporate number to call only the number for the storage facility in Riverside. The [redacted] is not good.
Hello - We tried reaching out to the tenant via the contact information that was provided in the complaint. However, the phone number did not work (only gave a "The person you are trying to reach is unavailable' message' and we couldn't leave a voicemail) and the email address also provided... returned our attempt to reach out to her as an 'invalid email address'. The fact she is upset has surprised our staff at the property she rented from as the person who came to clean out her unit was incredibly friendly to our staff and profusely said thank you for allowing him to use our dumpster to throw away the bookshelves that were mentioned in the complaint. We never received a complaint at the store-level. If the desired resolution is a refund of one day rent, we are happy to do that. However, one day of rent per her contract is not $80. The monthly base rate with tax is $107.83. One day of rent would come to $3.47.
Whether a Fortune , Medium or Small Business Owner you will be satisfied with Seacliff Storage located at Kovacs Lane, Huntington Beach, California The secure facility has a great selection of storage units, including but not limited to, RV and Boat Parking The premises are meticulously landscaped , impeccably clean and well lighted The professional staff is courteous and efficient We highly recommend this facility to business owners in all the coastal cities of greater Orange County, California

Dear Sir, We are sorry to hear about your experience at StorAmerica Self Storage in DuarteAcross our stores, we require that all of our tenants have accident or damage protection for the contents of their storage units - whether it be through their own personal renter's or homeowner's insurance, or through our monthly tenant protection planIt appears that you opted out of our protection plan, so unfortunately, when the damage regrettably occurred inside your storage unit, we were unable to compensate you monetarily for those damages.However, as you are aware, our Property Manager and District Manager agreed to transfer you to a new unit, at no cost to youWe sincerely hope that this relocation puts your mind at ease and we thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.Kind Regards,Management

Former tenant skipped and refused to sign release to All American. Since tenant refused to work with us, she was sold in auction then sent to collections. We followed the lien laws of the state of... California.

Dear Mr***, I have confirmed with the property and the managers involved that this situation has been resolved for several weeks at this pointThe tenant in question has been permanently vacated from the property, having moved to a neighboring self storage facility with our assistanceFurthermore, we have implemented a staffing change at *** Self Storage as a result of your complaint, effective mid to late-November. An inspector from the City of Paramount visited our property on November 28th, at your behestDuring his visit, he found "no observable active sewage discharge or residue in the shipping container area at the time of this inspection." We are confident that any issues that may have transpired from the offending tenant have been addressed and correctedThere should be no signs of substances or materials that pose a direct health risk to any of our customers. We did not mislead anyone and we do tell customers that coverage is required, but not our coverageHad Ms*** shown up with her insurance policy at the time of rental, this would be a non-issueWe can't change the fact she signed a document without reading through it or realizing what she was signing, but everything she is claiming to be misled about or not know was in the document with her signature on itAt any point over the last two and a half years, she had the ability to reference the Secure Lease document, that she received a copy of upon signing, if she had any questions or concerns about it being mandatory. Our company does work with military personnel with regard to their physical status when it comes to requiring them to be presentIf a tenant lists their employer as any of the United State military branches, as well as let's us know they are overseas, we do work with themHowever, this does not apply as we are unaware of Ms*** being an active member of the US militaryTherefore, we will not be bending our company rules simply because she does not want to drive to the store

We are sorry Ms*** is upsetFirst and foremost, our tenant protection plan is not insurance and does not have to comply with the Insurance Code, so we can make our service required if we wanted to[As per the ruling of the court case Heckart vs A-Self Storage through the State
of California.] Please see the attached documentation signed by Ms***There are two sections highlighted on the second page/attachmentThe first, yellow highlighted section, states that the tenant has the ability to cancel their plan with days written noticeThis shows that it is not mandatoryThe second, orange highlighted section, explains that this is not an insurance policyWe do not require tenants to have our protection plan, but we do require some type of insurance and/or protection of the stored goods in their unitUntil they bring in their personal insurance, our protection plan is used simply for convenience, so the unit is never in a state of being unprotected.StorAmerica Self Storage - Oceanside gave Ms*** an option to opt out by providing documentation of her own personal insurance, as well as signing a waiver that she was cancelling this planThe proof of her insurance most certainly can be emailed to usHowever, we do require tenants to physically be in the store to sign the waiver, so we are certain it is their signature and they realize they are waiving this additional protectionThis will remain our company policy.Unfortunately, she utilized the Secure Lease plan for two and a half years and the services have already been rendered(We do not own Secure LeaseThat is a separate company that provides protection of stored goods.) Her unit was protected under their plan in the event anything would have happened that warranted a claim, so we cannot refund monies for a service that was being utilized
