If I could give negative stars, I would
I ordered glasses for my daughter Jan 8th at the store after having to wait 2 hours after her exam to simply get any help. The store was nasty, and not even clean. (I would have simply left, but no one would give me her prescription.) I was told the order would be ready by Jan 21st or earlier. I call customer service on Jan 21 and they tell me order is delayed and should be here the following Friday. I check back on the status several times and all it says online is delayed. Call CS several times, but got cut off once and was on hold forever one time. Finally talked to someone on Feb 9th at CS. They say they can't reach the store, so they have to send an email. I get a call from the store later that day saying they had them ready. I had all ready ordered some from another place online during this time, so simply wanted a refund. Was told through text that they "can't" offer a refund. Learned my lesson about trying to save a buck. Worst customer service I have ever encountered.

My wife bought new glasses at their Glades Rd location Both lenses fell out of the frames on different occasions within weeks after purchase; once while drivingIn all my wife made ( yes, that's eight ) trips there to have these issues addressed and resolved One lens fell out twice and the other once They supposedly made one new, better fitting lens that took weeks to complete .Their advertised low prices are more than offset by the time expended in making multiple trips to their storeDon't waste your time and money--take your business elsewhereI've worn glasses over years and have never seen such a shoddily run operationMy wife has also worn glasses for decades and NEVER had such a negative experience beforeThey refused to give a refund on our most recent repair visit

I purchased two pairs of glasses at Stanton Optical in Albuquerque, NM One of the lenses in one pair was defective I returned the glasses, was told they'd be ready within the week I went back more than a week later, and they were not ready As I sat there, they put the lenses into the frame scratching it After I pointed that out, I was told to pick our another frame I told the her that she'd need to go get another frame as I had business to take care of She found the same frame, and had the lenses put in The sides of the lenses looked like they'd just barely been done, with no finish The employee then told me to take them back within a week, and she would ensure they were done correctly if I had problems with them I had my parents take them back for me as I live two hours away from Albuquerque I then received a phone call from my son that they had no intention of making things right unless I paid 20% of the lenses The woman who told me she'd be there, [redacted] was not available, and she failed to write anything on the notes in my file I am very disappointed, and do not appreciate being "sold" a product that is not and [redacted] not be useful My mother has also had problems with this business, and they have refused to make her product right, as well

I have spoken to the property manager, the tech and our tech advisor and the problem has been fixedWe unfortunately did have to go out several times to find the source of the leakIt was confirmed on 8-14-it was a leaking manifoldIt did take several applications and products to seal the pipe threadThis did stop the leaky manifoldTo our knowledge the Resident is happy with the repair Please let me know if you need additional information

10/20/16: I had heard the special Stanton Optical was offering for glasses for $plus a free eye examI made appointments for my children by phoneWe had gotten to the Optometrist 's office and the technician was doing front desk and examsShe had complained about not having a day off the past weeksI tried to put her in a good moodShe was rushing through the eye exams and then told us to go to see the OptometristWhen we got in the room, we had questions and asked the OptometristHe ignored us and did not address us at allWe then paid the technician and then went to the frame displays in StantonWe asked the sales people where were the for $framesHe pointed out some frames in a case in the back of the storeWe went to see the case and there were only frames to choose fromI asked the sales person when they would be getting more of the frames for $He said they will not be getting more inI told him the frames they have for the special are ugly and out-dated and that is why my children chose other framesI told him that the special was misleading and I will go and get frames from another eye wear businessThe Manager then stepped in and gave me another special of buy one, get one freeI was reluctant to take it due to the unprofessional and unfriendly treatment from the OptometristWhen I received the automated call the order was ready, I picked it upMy kids tried on the new glasses and said their vision appeared crossed-eyed and skewedI then went back to tell the Manager about the experience with the Optometrist and the glass order being incorrectThe Manager said he is not authorized to give a refund on the eye exams due to being a medical visit?! I then asked him for a refund on the glasses due to their errorHe said the order was correctI told him if the glasses were correct, my kids could see through themThe Manager was giving me the run around and I told him to stop that talk and give me the refund for the glasses, which he did He said I can call customer service for a refund on the eye exams(XXX-XXX-XXXX) I have called them twice so far for a refund and they said that they are not authorized to give refund and cannot due to it being a medical visit(same old line; this is how they train their employees to talk and act like car salesmen!) I had requested to speak to a Supervisor, but each customer service representative said this is not a corporate office and there are no Supervisors present and said they will forward to the Corporate officeI was told that I would hear from them in hours(It is now days later!) I have emailed this complaint x 5.( [redacted] @stantonoptical.com) I have mailed the complaint to: Stanton Optical Corporate Office, [redacted] Ave.,Palm [redacted] Florida, XXXXX I don't anticipating getting a refund from Stanton Optical This is my first and LAST time going to Stanton Optical I WILL NOT recommend this business to anyone

Extremely poor service on a continuous basisI have been a customer of theirs since they first opened in Roseville and I wanted to support new business coming to our townOver the years, the frames have broken and have needed repairingI am also tired of them trying to sell me on an eye exam as well Four years ago, I purchased two pairs of glasses (I only need to wear them at night to drive, not very often)I have had to take one of the pair of glasses to be repaired timesThe first time, not a big deal, waited a long time, but that is typical of this storeThe second time, which was just over this past summer, I took the pair in once again to be repaired (again, I hardly wear these)I stood and waited and waited and waited while I was finally called for my turn, then I wait for at least another 45min to an hour for the technician to fiddle with them and fix themNever fixes themI told him that I did not have time to wait and to please call me when they are fixedA week goes by, never hear from anyoneI finally call, a woman manager tells me, "Oh, yes they are fixed, come in today!" I get there, and of course they are not fixed!!! She never even checkedThen they couldn't find the glasses! Finally they located them in the original technicians pocket! Really??? Then just a few days ago, they broke again! I go back and wait, wait, waitI can not wait too much longer, it was my only day offI finally ask a man if I can leave these to be fixed and call me later pleaseHe says, "Oh these can't be fixed, these have to be soldered and we don't do thatBut go across the street to Fast Fix at the Galleria and they will fix them at no cost, we have an under-written agreement with them." So, here I go to Fast Fix, the manager didn't know what the heck I was talking about and tells me they have no such agreement and that it would cost me $to fix them! I go back over to Stanton Optical (still, my only day off) and tell the man that I spoke with earlier what the Fast Fix store doesn't have such an agreement and that they would charge me $49.95! He proceeds to look up my original order and finds I ordered the pair of glasses in and that I purchased a 2-year warranty, but that it is no longer valid because it is 2015! Now mind you, I wear this particular pair only at night to drive, may once or twice a week, if that He is arguing with me and won't have the glasses fixed! I finally get completely fed up and leave the store, leaving my glasses with him! The right thing for him to do would have been to call Fast Fix himself and get the glasses repaired for me or send them out to be repaired! Extremely poor customer service, I [redacted] never buy another pair of glasses there again Every single time that I go into this store, someone is complaining about the service, the long wait times and the quality of the productI am not joking, every single time there is always an issue I ordered sun glasses about a year and a half ago, the arms on the frames are cracking, it's ridiculousI will not do business with this company ever again

Worst service everIve been waiting a month for a pair of glassesThe first time they ordered they came back with the wrong prescriptionI have called two different times to see if my prescription was ready after the two times they ordered them both times they said they were busy and would call me backThey did not call back either timeThe third time I called I was just hung up on without even speaking a wordThey also keep telling me about my 2nd pair of glasses being on its way???? I only ordered pairThey are so confused and seem to have no idea what they are doingI called and spoke to corporate they told me they were on there way no apology nothingIts been over a month still no glasses

Is there a negative stars rating option for a business??? I had my eye exam at Stanton Optical West and purchased contacts and glasses that day When I picked up my glasses I told them they had to be wrong because they were not working for me I was told I would have to "get used to them: I am sure this is not true, but listened and left I called back and then came back in for a re-check exam to make sure my prescription was accurate Again I was told that I "just had to get used to them" that the prescription was correct I just went to another optician, had my eyes checked and was given the same prescription I asked them to check the glasses and tell me what prescription was in them Not only were they too strong, but they also had a stigmatism correction in one eye I have tried to contact a manager with Stanton to no avail They do not call back Today, I called and refused to get off the phone until I spoke with someone The "Customer Service" person I spoke to said there was nothing they could do for me I demanded they change the lenses out to the correct prescription They now say they have to "investigate" and will let me know if they can do anything for meThey can't seem to "find a record" of my complaint (BIG SURPRISE!!!) I wouldn't go to Stanton Optical again if they promised me free eyewear for the rest of my life

I purchased two pairs of no line bifocails from the stanton optical store in Hamburg NY which has since closed Both pairs of glasses seem to crack in many places very slightly and the coating on both pairs was coming off I sent the first pair, which had already been repaired once, to the store manager in Tonawanda NY named *** He claims that I caused the damage So then I was down to one pair of glasses because they refused to fix was so obviously a manufactuers defect they claim satisfaction I didn't get any So the last pair starts peeling off the top looks like a crackI took this pair to *** optical in Orchard Park NY The optomotrist said it was a manufacturer defect also showed WNY optical and *** *** said it was a manufacturer defect also The did not fix either pair and they were so poorly made neither pair lasted even a year Do your self a favor, find another place to get your glasses! Remember I purchased these glasses at the Hamburg store

I am a retired Optician and quite frankly Stanton Optical is one of biggest "bait and Switch" companies I've come across They advertise $but before you're though you'll be paying a lot more for add on to prices of frames and lenses
Frankly, I can't believe people go back to them

Could not see out of my new glassesThey kept fooling with them but to no availSpent two hours there, went home with no glassesThey do not refund your moneyThere were several people there complainING about not being able to see out of their glassesThis place is a scamI paid over dollarsThey set up another appointment for me to have another eye exam, now I have to wait for that, than another plus for them to come in
Please do not go hereThere is a reason they are not accredited with the Revdex.com

It took along time for them to get my glasses, they did not call me I had to call themWent down to pick them up, put on my new glasses and I could not see out of themEverything was a blurr, after arguing with them for hours, they finally said they would give me a new eye exam, because it was obvious that it was the wrong prescriptionI live plus mines away so needeless to say I was not a happy camperMade the appointment for two weeks later, went back in they gave me the exam, then they could not find my glasses to send back for my new lensesWhile I was there, so many elderly people came in to pick up their glasses and they all had the same complaintThey lay in wait for all these poor unsuspecting peopleIt was heartrending I am outraged that they keep getting away with thisI filed a complaint with the Revdex.com, and am working on my compaint to send to my attorney generalI also saw that there is a lawsuit pending in ohioThank God I put this on my credit card, they are trying to resolve this for meBecause I am not counting on a refund check being in the mailI could go on and on about this company, all I can say is PLEASE, do yourself a favor and avoid Stanton Optical like the plague

I made the mistake of going to Stanton Optical in I'm writing this now because I just went to a reputable place and was told that my Stanton glasses had the progressive area was off the proper position for my right eye No wonder I had to squint or close that eye to read!, And the doctor, who I had first seen in 2011, said the Rx was very weak compared to what he ordered for me both in and nowI hadn't liked Stanton's on-sight doctor, she didn't seem terribly interested in my exam
My whole experience with Stanton was horribleThe first pair I received about days past the given dateThey had the wrong shaped lens forced into a frameFrame snapped, back to StantonOrdered another pair, 30-days later (I forget exactly, just a long time!) they arrived scratchedI spoke weekly with their headquarters in FloridaIt didn't help at allFinally got a pair that seemed ok, but since they only had one actual optician for two area locations, an year old kid 'adjusted them' the frame had clips that were supposed to be removed when the lenses were made that stuck out, four on each frameThat pair was so painful to wear, and weird looking, I donated them to the Lions, and I feel badly about them being so awful
Finally got the pair I wore sinceI didn't like them, Stanton only has pair of each style, apparentlyAfter all I'd been through, I accepted themI had headaches and eye strain that went away as soon as I got my new pair from a real opticianI'm disabled, and had to save to get new glassesthe trap that lead to buying a groupon type deal for Stanton
Recently I was delighted to see that the location I had gone to has closed! I was so happy!! Sorry for job losses, but glad they can't screw up anyone else's eyesThe only thing positive was at several of my visits there I met ladies also standing in line to complain, and we had a lovely time comparing our very similar experiences
And now finding out how badly the best they could do was so badly made

She is not friendly to customers as she does not care bout customers
The advertisment is very tricky

Just had the worst experience ever at Stanton optical in Albuquerque nmMy wife and I decided to pick this place for their advertising of two pairs of glasses for $and a free eye exam I called first thing in the morning to schedule our free eye exams and asked if they would be able to finish the glasses the same day as we are from out of town and they said it would not be a problem so we took some afternoon appointment for the eye exam because my wife had prior Dr appointment After scheduling the appointments we decided to head down to the store to look around and the salesman who gave me a fake name and business card said we could go ahead and pick our frames so they would be ready to put lenses in after the free eye examSo after spending all morning picking out frames and hagling over prices which by the way was Def not $but $not including a pair for me! So we pay for both our pairs and head for her other Dr appointment! When we arrived back for our eye exam everyone waiting is asking how much longer they have to wait, a few minutes later the eye doc calls someone back but before they returned others are called back and come out complaining that this is their third time back and can't get any more time off workAs everyone is being told the eye doctor had to leave we go to get our money back for our frames we spent all morning picking and hagling for as we had previously told them we were from out of townthe manager Says they don't have any cash to give me a refund I would either have to take a check or a card to refund it to even though I paid in cashForty eight hrs latter still no money in my account! When the lady finally comes back out from the eye doctor the receptionist told her she would have to pay for the eye dialation of the free exam

The Albuquerque store is terrible! I ordered two pairs for $They arrived in two weeksThe lenses were not rightI was unable to read sized type...they were not nearly as good as my $Wallmart cheaters! The store manager offered my a re-examination ( I have since learned that this is their method for dealing with a poor quality lens They told me the second exam showed that I need a change in the lenses.Now, one month after the original eye exam they delivered the second set of glassesI went outside with them and had to remove the glasses before I could read a distant sign! I asked for my money back ..they told me that they couldn't do that! There were THREE other customers there trying to get their money back! I have told the credit card company to stop payment!I left the glasses there!

My Experience at Stanton Optical:
08/04/2014: (Mon.) Responded to flyer in the mail for a back-to-school contact lense eye exam & three month supply of contacts. Eye exam with Dr. Pham. Contact lenses were not available. Will be in a week later for my follow-up appointment. A alternate trial pair issued.
08/12/2014: (Tues.) Arrived for follow-up appointment. Contact lenses still were not available. Was told that a special order will be placed and that I will be notified in 3-4 days.
08/21/2014: (Thurs.) No one called. Contacted customer service. Told to come in and pick-up lenses. When I arrived Dr. [redacted] said that the lenses were also incorrect. Issued another perscription and the associated placed another order. Will take one week. Was assured that someone will call me when the contact lenses arrive.
08/29/2014: (Fri.) No one called. I called the store at 9:35 am. The associated took my phone and told me that she will research the order and call me wright back. No One Called me back.
08/29/2014: (Fri.) Appoximately 6:45 pm. Called customer service and left a message to please return me call. Also sent an e-mail the following day.
09/03/2014: (Wed.) It is now 5:12 pm, and you guest it. NO ONE CALLED. So I went to the chat online customer service website. [redacted] gathered my information and looked into the matter. She then informed me that the manager at the Palm Springs location will look into this and check the ETA on my order, and that she would contact me the following morning (Thurs. 09/04).
09/04/2014: (Thus.) NO RETURN CALL!
09/05/2014: (Fri.) Approx. 10:00 am, called the store and spoke to April. She said that she would check the status of my order and call me wright back. She did not call me back. Approx. 11:00 am I went to the store and spoke to the manager ([redacted] in person. Insisted that the service I received is not acceptable. Issued me another trial pair for two weeks, and re-ordered my contact lenses. She then called the manufacturer and ASSURED me that the lenses will be in Tues. 09/09/2014. She also up the order from three months supply to six for the inconvienence. She told me to call her personally on Tuesday due to her leaving on vacation.
09/09/2014: (Tues.) Called the store and spoke to April, was put on hold. April returned and said that [redacted] was with a Customer, and that my order had been placed on back order, will be in Friday 09/12/2014. UNBELIEVABLE!
1.) Being in hospitality all my life, this is absolutely the worst service I have ever received.
2.) You really should not run a promotion if your not going to honor it.
