I will be investigating this incident and reaching out to Mr***He had left office prior to my call to office at and cell phone not excepting messages.Have provided insurance information via emailWill reach out to customer on Monday for additional review
Response: We understand the frustration felt by customers when they believe the manufacturer is going to extend assistance, but then has to decline
assistance until the dealer has performed the prescribed diagnostic steps. In many cases the manufacturer will have us perform basic maintenance (if the customer has not performed it) to insure that everything is up-to-date before they will give assistance. This was definitely the case here. Once basic required maintenance is performed, we then asked for authorization to tear down the engine to access the problem. If the customer authorizes this step, it is possible at that point Chrysler would have honored assistance if it was determined that the engine was in otherwise excellent shape, and just in need of specific parts to bring it back to good. Authorization for tear down is required to insure if other damage from lack of maintenance or abuse is uncovered, the dealership and technician will be paid for their time. Since teardown was not authorized, Chrysler declined to participate further, and the charges were for maintenance and is a requirement to maintain in eligibility for warranty or goodwill repairs. We advocate for our customers to the best of our ability, but we are unwilling to misrepresent or disregard the manufacturer guidelines for ethical reasons. We feel that in most cases our customers will appreciate our integrity and respect or need to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines. We sincerely regret that this situation didn’t end with the results the customer hoped for
South Point Dodge has worked diligently to address the customers service concerns as they ariseRecently the clutch system required service and although it is considered a wear and tear time and only covered for the first month or 12,miles of ownership, South Point worked for Mr *** with
the manufacturer to perform repairs with a $deductible for a $repairSouth Point service is happy to assist Mr*** with any future repair needs
This vehicle's warranty was restricted by the manufacturer after it was found by a Dallas area dealer to have contaminated fuelThe customer elected to not have repairs to the fuel systemThe manufacturer has specific repair procedures for contaminated fuel systems and as a result of those procedures not being followed, the manufacturer restricted the engine and related fuel systems warranty. The vehicle currently has DEF fluid that is below the minimum required operating specificationThe DEF fluid requires periodic maintenance and must be replenished with fresh/new fluid that has been properly stored and prior to shelf life expirationSince the DEF system was operated with out of specification fluid, there are additional items that will require replacement to return the system to optimum performance standardsThis condition is considered a maintenance item and subsequent negative impact to related components due to lack of maintenance is not covered under the manufacturers limited warranty.*** ***Fixed Operations Director why here
The vehicle Ms*** purchased was a demo vehicleWe sell these as new cars because they have never been titled, this is common practice.
She also states that we spot painted this carThat is not what we didWe have receipts from our body shop where they in fact painted the whole bumper as she requestedWe have tried to make Ms*** happy and feel we have done everything that we promised
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attentionWe have issued a check for the amount requested to Ally bank via ACH fundsOn behalf of the dealership, I truly apologize for the inconvenienceWe have had several staff changes and unfortunately none of the managers that were involved in this
transaction are employed here anymoreHopefully we have addressed your concern and made things right. Please feel free to contact me anytime.I have attached a copy of the ACH to Ally bank for the whole balance. Sincerely, *** ***

I am rejecting this response because:South Point had the Service *** ***, reach out to meHe did state the "higher-ups" are
requesting my Maintenance records from the time of purchase of my vehicleInitially, I said okay, but after consultation, I have requested South Point Mgmt to contact me because *** couldn't provide me with the reasoning behind this requestI'm awaiting a responseI'm not sure how my maintenance records from the time of purchase, have to do with the fact that South Point Service Center worked on & "fixed" my overheating issue to the point where I now need a new enginePer all service records/maintenance South Point was to have performed.

After reviewing the complaint and the vehicle history we are unable to verify the condition of the bumper and mirrors when the vehicle was brought in. We rarely spend a large amount of time testing all of the systems on a vehicle to verify if they are working properly or not. The amount
of time that would take would be very inefficient for our customers and our staff. I am aware of the support we gave the customer to get his engine replaced at no charge under warranty, when the evidence of severe overheating was overwhelming, and the suspected failed components were not covered by his powertrain warranty. The evidence pointed to not only a failed thermostat that was only covered for months or miles, but also that the vehicle had been driven for an extended period of time with this condition which led to severe damage to the engine. South Point Dodge worked diligently to insure the engine could be covered by Chrysler when they had declined the claim numerous times.I am willing to work with Mr*** to repair his concerns at a discounted rate due to his recent engine replacement, but I am quite sure that the systems he is having issues with are totally unrelated to the engine and cooling system items we replaced for him free of charge
South Point Dodge is very sorry that this pre-owned vehicle Mr*** purchased had a mechanical issueWhen purchasing a used vehicle there can sometimes be problems, that is why we have every customer sign an AS IS form to cover us, however in this case, we immediately handled Mr***'s
issue by taking the vehicle directly to a dealership in which handles that specific manufacturer, so that they can fix it We also gave Mr*** one of our brand new cars so he would not be without a carThe vehicle is still at that dealership, waiting on the parts, we have zero control over how long it takes to get a partThis work will be backed by that dealer as wellAgain, we are truly sorry for this inconvenience, but we feel we are doing everything we can to correct the issue. To say that this was intentionally done to commit odometer fraud is simply not true

We do our very best to accommodate all of our customers complaints, but it sometimes is beyond our reach. We appreciate the opportunity we had to service your vehicle, and would do our best to insure a favorable outcome on your remaining issues in the future
The only reason I gave a star is because you can't leave zero! My salesman Scott G*** was a complete ***! I was told I would be getting a $visa card for buying a jeep from them and when it came time to hash out the numbers I then asked them to just throw that $towards my down paymentI was told that because I didn't buy jeep off their lot I wouldn't be getting the $VisaI was never told of any stipulationsFinally we agree on a Jeep(that I did all the leg work for) that required dealer trade So I'm about to sign papers and my salesman tells me that the jeep we agreed on was sold week prior Now I knew it wasn't sold because I asked for the invoice day prior So they ask me what features I want on my jeep they have to findI told them everything thats on the jeep we agreed upon is what I want, and if there's extra features you'll need to eat the lossSo after hours of going in circles, I leave with a loaner jeep I get a call hours later that my jeep is in I go in and my first question to my salesman was "where did you get it?" He tells me it's the exact jeep I wanted from the original dealership I then ask if they swapped my prior plate as I was registering out of stateHe looks at me and says I don't knowHow can you not know? It was something I asked you to do and yet he drops the ball AGAIN!!! I ask for a copy of my papers I signed and we go get them from the finance guyI asked the finance guy about my plate transfer and was told he would take care of it So my salesman heads outside and takes a picture to email the finance guy my plate info While he was out there I was telling the finance guy this whole process was #$^* and completely uncalled for Oh and the finance guy, Joel wasn't any better He said I could call if there were any questions I call the guy and no answer I called at least times throughout the week and still no answer So I make one last phone call and ask for the title and registration department I asked if they had everything needed for me to swap my plates off my trade-in Lauren, very nice and helpful took care of me and got everything situated, well will see come August I mention to her that I had the worst time buying a car from there and wanted to speak with the manager Almost weeks later he calls and I tell him EVERYTHING! I was asked what can they do to make up for un called for service I endured I said give me the $Visa he couldn't spit out NO! fast enough because that deal ended end of JuneBottom line, AVOID South Point Dodge at all costs!!!
You'll thank me later

I am rejecting this response because:
This was the second time the the clutch system had to have repairs. It was also the SECOND time that the axles had to be replaced. This is NOT for a car that was supposedly of good quality. That along with the many others repairs that have been happening with this car should be reason enough to see that this car is a hazard to drive.

The business is still being untruthful about the circumstances, I had contacted three Busineses about the Jeep in question and decided to try Southpoint first, I have copies of talks and names of the ones that made me promises they knew they could not deliver, they promised me that the Jeep I wanted was there and ready to be purchased, and when I agreed to stop in they gave me excuses and pressured me into waiting 3-days for delivery and after 5-days I went elsewhereI did not Make any deal with Covert to buy the car I bought until the deadline of days passed and I was fed up with the lyingI found through other sources that this same dealership reneged on a deal with a lady on promises they made Her she asked for Her deposit of 15K they first refused to return it until other outside sources stepped in so, my situation with them probably is a standard procedure and there are probably others met with the same process .I'm gathering from the reply from Southpoint and looking all the misspelled words and type-O's there appear to be a lacking in IQ to some degreeIn closing I contacted Southpoint to buy a Renegade, their Repassured me the one I wanted was there and told me to come and check it out, I responded that If I came in, that day would I be driving the Jeep I wanted out that day and their response was a yes, come in and deal today, it didn't happenSouthpoint owes me 1K deposit for non delivery as promised and that amount is what I wantIf my deposit is not returned to me within the next days my next stop is the Texas Attorney Generals Office and I plan on contacting Chrysler itself concerning the liars at SPD
*** ***,
Marco was a great dealerHe was super sweet and helpfulThe dealership is willing to negotiate and strike great dealsAll people I worked with were great!
I have authorized the refund of the diagnosis charge. I understand that when you arrived we thought the part would be readily available, but later discovered that it was not. I apologize that other options weren't made available to you in a reasonable amount of time. We try to
only use Genuine Mopar Parts to insure that it will be warrantable in the future
South Point Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep/Ram has reached out to customerCustomer is providing additional service records for review with the manufacturer
We responded when your complaint was made available to us to respond, and the Revdex.com didn't input the response till yesterday due to issues on their end. I regret that you feel the way you do, but unfortunately we have done all we can do on our end. Please accept my apology for the length of time it took to respond

I am rejecting this response because: This is a CLEAR sign of negligence, I never ever mentioned a trade inI don't have a car to trade in, so this is another example of unprofessionalismI am currently without a vehicle, if I had a vehicle I wouldn't have to take public transportation, so it's pretty condescending to get a response, and it's totally incorrectI wasn't pre approved, I have an APRROVAL, I have proof of the conversation I had, it's extremely demeaning, to be treated unfairly, and to add insult to injury a response is received which is completely fabricated
