Review: My son was given an Emerson EMP287C-4 mp3 player for Christmas. We opened the package, charged it and it will not power on. I have attempted to contact the company twice through email and have received no response other then a ticket number. When attempting to contact customer service, you just sit on hold (20 minutes +). The last email contact (1/**/14) I was provided a ticket number of [redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like the defective product replaced at no cost to myself. This was a gift to me son and we do not have a receipt, but have all the original packaging and items.

Review: Purchased two polaroid tablets with one that doesn't work correctly. I called and restored factory setting and it still wasn't working properly. I sent the tablet to polaroid and they were going to fix the issues.upon the return of the tablet it was still doing the something's, freezing, sporadically inserting numbers and letters, shaking pages. Then a few day's later we received another tablet that didn't have anything loaded to it.I called again to polaroid and wanted me to go through the steps again in fixing the tablet. Since already being on hold for 20 mins and having to go back through the steps again my frustration was building so I asked to speak to the supervisor. The [redacted] didn't find a supervisor as they were "busy". The [redacted] said that he would bump my call to priority and would get a call back in 24 hours. 48 hours later I have not received a call back. I tried to ask on line support and they were slow in between responses and I never got my answer I was looking for as I had to leave the conversation.Desired Settlement: one working tablet with no issues

Review: I recently purchased a tablet that supported by Southern Telecom; the product was a tablet that has a defective WIFI making the tablet practically trash. After speaking trying to reach Southern Telecom for 13 hours, I researched the product further online. I was surprised to find thousands of customer complaints indicating that the company is aware of the defective tablets and sends the customer through hoops trying to get there money back. There telephone number for customer service as well as there website is another attempt to delay customers and you won't ever reach anyone to make a complaint about the product.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund and I want anyone purchasing products from this company to know that their products are poor quality, the customer service is poor and this company should be investigated for false advertisement.

At this time, I have been contacted directly by Southern Telecom regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved.

The wireless connection in the device is defective.

Review: Polaroid MP3 player: unit was sent in for warranty repair/replacement, a non working unit was sent back as a replacement

I have already wasted time waiting for responses from both Polaroid and Southern Telecom, Inc.

The first time I complained to Polaroid it took over six weeks for them to respond.

I have wasted money paying for shipping to return the defective device.Desired Settlement: I want a good working replacement sent, and a postage paid shipping container to return the second defective device.

Response:

At this time, I have not been contacted by Southern Telecom regarding complaint ID [redacted].

They have sent no letter email or other type of communication.

The company involved, Southern Telecom has mailed us yet another non-working unit to replace the unit sent in for repair/exchange months ago.

We tired of dealing with these people, we want a refund.

A copy of the original receipt was sent to them with the original unit, totaling $53.47.

Thank you,

Sincerely,

Review: In May 2013, I received a Polaroid 7" kids tablet, which was purchased through our phone company for $149.99. It was billed over a six month period on our phone bill.

October 2013, the tablet would no longer charge up.

We went to Radio Shack on Nov.*, 2013 and bought a new cord for the charger for $18.99. That didn't fix the problem. I contacted Southern Telecom/Polaroid customer support, explained the situation and what we had done to try to resolve the issue (buying that cord from Radio Shack) and the representative insisted on sending us a new cord.

We waited and received a new cord (the same thing we purchased from Radio Shack). Well, it didn't work. It wouldn't charge our tablet (I understand they need to do their troubleshooting).

Called Southern Telecom/Polaroid again in Nov/Dec (didn't keep records then because I didn't think it would turn into this kind of problem) and talked to someone I think is the same person I've talked to all along but only asked for his name once.

He was supposed to send me a UPS mailing label so I could send the tablet in for replacement because it is under warranty.

Jan. *, 2014, We still haven't received the UPS return mailing label, so I call Southern Telecom/Polaroid back. He emailed me the UPS shipping label I needed to send the tablet to them. I printed it out, attached it to the package and sent via UPS.

Feb **, 2014, I looked the tracking # up on the UPS website and it shows that Southern Telecom in Brooklyn New York received and signed for it Jan. [redacted] 2014.

I called Southern Telecom/Polaroid support to get the status on our replacement tablet and was told to check in 48 hours because of the weather and UPS not picking their shipments up. ???--that's what I was told.

Feb **, 2014, I looked up the status on the UPS website using the tracking #s given to me from Southern Telecom/Polaroid support and found absolutely no activity on their end on sending a replacement tablet (they've had ours now since Jan.[redacted]).

I called Southern Telecom/Polaroid support once again was given the same run-around about waiting 48 hrs, blaming it on the weather, UPS, etc, etc, etc.

I asked to speak with his [redacted], he refused.

I asked for his [redacted]'s name, he wouldn't give it to me. I asked for the [redacted] or [redacted] of his company's name, he refused.

After an hour on the phone with him, and that was just this call this morning 2/**/2014, he gave me a tracking # (which was one of the three he gave me Jan. *, 2014) and told me to check it after 6:00 p.m.

I'm in the central time zone, so I waited until 6:00 p.m. my time (which would have been 7:00 p.m. his time) and still no activity.

While I was on UPS' website tonight, 2/20/2014, I started a live chat with a UPS rep and asked him if UPS had been running in NYC this past month due to the weather.

He advised me that wasn't the problem and looked up my tracking #s and told me that is was a shipper issue and to contact them. Southern Telecom/Polaroid is the shipper and I've been in contact with them.

I looked up Windstream's and Polaroid's support numbers and contacted both, out of frustration and no where else to turn to.

The Windstream rep. was very understanding and listened to my frustration, but couldn't help me which I figured and Polaroid's automated system option #4 for tablet help immediately stated that they have nothing to with the tablets, Southern Telecom manufactures them under the Polaroid name and not to call Polaroid for support...period.

It's sold as, packaged as, and marketed as a Polaroid 7" Kids Tablet, model #PTAB750.

I've exhausted all avenues and I don't know what to do. My son still doesn't have his tablet. It's sitting somewhere in [redacted] that I sent under Southern Telecom/Polaroids direction.

Please help resolve this, I've already broken out in tears tonight over the frustration.

Thank youDesired Settlement: I don't trust a replacement from this company. We paid $149.99 in the spring of 2013 when the Polaroid 7" kids' tablet was first introduced on the market and now that's what I want plus Texas tax.

Review: I contacted this company through the Polaroid website for trouble shooting with a tablet that is stuck on the logo page. called 3 times, left message as instructed and have not recieved 1 call back from those calls. Contacted online support and did live chat 3 times and still no results, kept getting same instructions that I explained were not working and that the file they kept insisting on sending that I download would not load correctly siting that there was file corruption and unable to complete the process. AGAIN live chatted this issue and recieved THE SAME LINK. Called AGAIN and recieved a live person but he verbally instructed me what to do which I explained I had already done at this point 4 times. instructed me to use [redacted] stating this would correct the issue... it did not!! he told me it takes about 30 min to install (which I am fully aware of at this point because I have working on this all moring!) and to follow the on screen instructions. would not wait on the phone with me stating that if it didn't work to call back. which it did not work, I called back no answer left ANOTHER message, which I do not expect to be returned at this point. contacted live chat AGAIN.... and was told I was using a [redacted] (which I was not) and that's why it wasn't working. when I replied no I am using [redacted] not a [redacted], I was questioned "are your sure..." yes, I know what I am running. Also then directed to the same faulty link THAT IS NOT WORKING!!!!Desired Settlement: NEW tablet that works!!!!!

Review: I got a q10 tablet from this business and they said it would be a great tablet for me I was very unsatisfied about the way they handle things from the 877# to the main phone number I have tried and tried to reach out to [redacted] and [redacted] there and have not gotten a single phone call and the operator keeps saying they got the message just wait for a response. I am uphauled by them because last night we had a thunderstorm and they said your tablet is out of warranty and theres nothing we can do for you quote robert.Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement and for them to quit giving their customers a hard time saying we didnt recieve letters when in fact I did send out numerous emails.

Review: In August of 2013 I ordered a headset made by this company. After reporting that the product was defective, I sent the headset and receipt back to the company for replacement. In return I received another headset with the same exact issue.

After trying to get in touch with them, I finally received an email back December [redacted] (I have the email to prove this) that they would replace the 2nd defective unit and I just had to supply my shipping information.

In January, after not receiving the unit, I contacted the company again. An email from the company stated I had to send the defective unit back along with my reciept. I explained that I had already done this the first time and pointed out my email from December [redacted] stating they would ship a new one out.

After months of going back and forth, it is now March [redacted]. I contacted the company through their chat and explained the situation again. I had paid $59 for a defective headset, paid $5 to ship it back to get another defective headset. I was promised a new headset which was never delivered. After giving them all the background informations and tickets, they told me I had to send back the defective unit. I again pointed out the email from December [redacted] and explained that I did not want to pay to have the product shipped back if they couldn't guarentee the product would work. I asked them if they would pay for shipping but they refused.Desired Settlement: I wouldn't mind a working replacement but judging by their "F" rating, a refund would probably be better.

Review: I bought a Polaroid tablet with extra protection coverage for a Christmas gift. Since then, I've had to return it not once but 3 times for issues. Once the company replaced it but otherwise sends refurbished tablets back to me. I keep having issues with this particular tablet. I called & asked twice for a refund since that is stated in my extra protection coverage. I am now waiting for a fourth tablet. It's been almost 2 weeks; when I was told it would take 7-10 days. I called today & now got told it will be another 2 weeks from today because of a jewish holiday. I did not buy this gift to keep returning it or to have issues with. I would like this issue resolved as soon as possible. I am tired of calling this company to get nothing resolved. I didn't buy the extra protection coverage for this.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for this tablet & for the extra protection coveage.

Review: I made a complaint with said company on 6/*/13. The company represenative called and resolved the problem by agreeing to send me another tablet. Received the tablet, been using it for 3 months.now the tablet will not turn on at all. Call the customer service just to get a run around from the staff and also being told that the model that was sent to me was not released to the public as of yet and no update is available making this my problem to wait another two weeks for some type of remedy for this tablet. I think this is unfair to the consumer and would like to address this complaint with someone who is upper management.Desired Settlement: I would like for someone to contact me so this may be resolved.
