Smartbackgroundchecks.com has my cell phone number and home address history without authorization. I don't like my personal information, especially my cell phone, plastered on the Internet. Have no clue where they obtained my cell number. Their opt out feature does not work. There is no way to contact these people. Usually these sites are good about removing the info they collect on everybody without a problem, but this one is totally illegitimate. Something should be done to shut them down! We are left powerless to control our personal information in this age of identity theft. I also have no doubt that much of the info they have is incorrect and could be harmful since they operate in this totally unprofessional manner.

Atrocious abuse of personal information. This website shows my detailed personal (and false) info for any google search made. As the victim of identity fraud and being fully aware of the legal ramifications of the violations to privacy laws, I do not know how this website is allowed to remain active.

This company is posting my private information online without my knowledge or consent.
I randomly did a google search of my phone number and stumbled onto this website, which has all my private information published for public consumption. I absolutely never authorized this and want the information removed immediately. This is a safety issue, and a privacy violation. If anything happens to me or any of my family members due to this information being public, I will make sure this company is sued for every dime they havehow is this even legal??

Box XXXXX in Metairie, LA XXXXX and have held this POSTAL address for over 20 years. *** and *** lived at 211 W Gatehouse Dr. Metairie, LA for almost 10 years until 2013 with *** III, 37 who died on January 4, 2012 and who never owned a car. While alive *** 3rd received his mail at the XXXXX POSTAL BOX. He was the 3rd *** to hold this name. The 1st *** died January 2011. The ONLY LIVING *** has been married to *** who changed her name to *** before going to college, for 38 years. *** and *** are not related to anyone with the last name of *** and have never lived in North Carolina or New Mexico. If accurately checking and reporting PUBLIC RECORD is not the sites concern, then the information posted, if used in the commission of a crime or fraud needs to be held responsible for the loss or damages the site represented as accurate.
