Review: They advertise free golf [redacted] for a $.99 one time fee and then sign you up for a dozen golf [redacted] every month for $39.99/ month. The original $.99 charge shows up on your credit card as 5 separate very small charges totaling 99 cents.Desired Settlement: List the complaint to warn other folks to stay away from them.

Response:

Hi, This is in regard to complaint [redacted]. It appears that the entity behind the scam is shopmaxtv.com. The lead to the scam offer is

http://www.shopmaxtv.com/[redacted]

Thanks for your efforts. Just getting them listed with a complaint may help protect other folks from their bad practices.

Consumer

Response:

Their response simply ignores the fact that on each of the "Free Golf Ball" order pages the customer is given the option of declining any charges or addition "offers". I was very carefull to make sure that such offers were checked as decline. It's not worth the aggreavaion and time to persue the complaint any further. I do appreciate your efforts to resolve this issue. It's probably because of your assistance that they are trying to exit the complaint process without admitting any wrongdoing. Thanks for your help.

Review: I called to cancel an unintended fine print subscription of monthly Kick-X golf ball shipments. The order was canceled the first week of August 2015 after my credit card was charged $29.95 on July 30th. I did not want the shipment and I never received it. My refund was supposed to go through but they said my card expired and the refund has not been made. I called in September and was told I would get a refund within 3 days. I have been waiting since the first week of August, (this is October).Desired Settlement: Refund my $29.95 as soon as possible.

Review: Company advertised free sleeve of 3 golfballs for $.99 shipping and handling. I never received the sleeve of golfballs but the company sent 1 doz golfballs and billed my credit card $39.95. I called and complained and a customer service rep promised to eliminate the charge and to make sure I wasn't sent more dozens of golfballs and that my account would not be charged automatically each month. (Apparently, the company took my order believing that my accepting 3 free golfballs committed me to a recurring shipment of a dozen for $39.95 each month. I never agreed to such an arrangement) The charge was not offset and when I called the company again, I was told by another customer service rep that the company tried to process a credit to my credit card account but that my bank would not permit the credit. I called my bank and learned that it NEVER prohibits a credit to a credit card account even if the account is expired or cancelled. My account does not expire until 3/31/2016.Desired Settlement: Would like $39.95 credit card charge removed from my account and receipt of sleeve of golfballs.

Review: This company charged me $50 on my cc when I authorized $1 to be taken out. When I called they said I would have a refund in 3-5 days. 6 days later I hadn't received my refund so I called and the lady said they could give a refund because they already shipped the [redacted] The problem is they shipped them to the wrong address, I haven't seen them so I can't return themDesired Settlement: I don't want my card charged again. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

Review: I agreed to sign up for the putter trial and received free [redacted] as part of the deal.

I called customer support to verify how it all worked. I was told that I could return the putter within 60 days (I believe it was 60 days) for a full refund and keep the [redacted] I was also told that it would be $69.90 and there wouldn't be any other charges. I haven't even taken the putter out of it's plastic wrapper. Then I started to get charges of $29.95 from "Pure Strik" and "EZ Golf". I have called customer support several times and was told that I signed up for other trial offers that would continue to charge me unless I cancelled. I told them to cancel me from all offers and they would refund my money. He also stated that I had paid for the putter. I received one $20 refund, so I called again today. As I was looking at my account, I also found another charge yesterday for $29.95. The woman on customer support told me that they have been having that issue. Then why didn't they let me know? They would have just let me lose the $9.95 and it was up to me to call again? She also said that the newest charge was for the putter. I told her I had already paid for the putter, but she said it was $129.95 and I still had one payment of $35... to pay. I asked to talk to her supervisor, and after sitting on hold for 5 minutes, hung up and looked for other resolutions. This is why I am writing this email. I should have a refund of $9.95 and 2 other refunds of $29.95 coming my way.

Review: They advertised a golf ball on TV at Golf Channel:"TRY KICK X TOUR-Z GOLF BALLS FREE! WITH OUR FREE 30 DAY TRIAL!" AT $0.99"I ordered 1 dz at their website,"www.kickxball.com" on March 22, 2015 with my visa card and they reply me order confirmation at on-line with no detailed price information or trial/return condition so that I believed that it is free of charge demonstration chance with cost of $0.99. Later they send 1 dz of said golfball by mail with invoice that is not itemized, just saying " item list 1 X Kick X Tourz Premium Balls"And they charged me $43.35 to my Credit card account on May 10,2015.I think that IT IS A KIND OF CHEATING AGAINST CUSTOMERS. I found many of same complaints against this company by googling with "PurShopgolf"

Product_Or_Service: golf ball

Order_Number: [redacted]Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund

I cannot pay $43.65 and I am willing to pay $0.99 as they advertised.Because I would not buy this kind of unknown brand at the most expensive price with other top brand balls. And I wish this kind of unfair business activities should be purnished or publicized by authorities(They advertised it through Golf Chanel).

Review: They advertise and offer to get a sleeve of their Kick X Tour Golf [redacted] but the customer has to pay $.99 for shipping. Somewhere on the webpage there must be a caveat that the customer by ordering the 3 free golf [redacted] also agrees to enroll in their subscription at $29.95 per month to be able to receive a full box of their Kick X Tour Golf [redacted] The customer is billed the $29.95 every month but the customer has to phone Shopmax TV every month to request shipment of their monthly box of "free" golf [redacted] and if they request the shipment the customer is them charged $.99 for shipping them. The customer can cancel the subscription within 7 days and still get their sleeve of 3 golf [redacted] paying only the $.99 for shipping. I did not see their caveat that I would be signing up for a subscription so I didn't cancel. I never received the sleeve for 3 free golf [redacted] but the next, month I did receive a full box of their Kick X Tour Golf [redacted] When my Oct credit card bill arrived I saw I was charge $29.95 on Sept 13 for the box of [redacted] I received. I neglected to review my Nov credit card but upon reviewing my Dec credit card bill saw than I had a second charge from Shopmax TV ( billed as EZ GOLF 336-4[redacted] CA) but I did not receive another box of golf [redacted] I called Shopmax TV and they explained their subscription. I canceled my subscription and they said I would not be charged again. In trying to find the Shopmax TV phone number I found the following website with a plethora of customers complaining about also falling prey by Shopmax TV's deceptive advertising -(http://www.f[redacted]/

I believe their advertising is so intentionally deceptive it verges on being fraud.Desired Settlement: Either discontinue charging customer for a subscription or clearly and prominently display that the customer will be signing up for a subscription when the order a "free" sleeve of Kick X Tour Golf [redacted] .
