To whom it may concern, My name is Ramsey Schrader and I am a managing partner at Arena’s Milford. In response to complaint [redacted] The customer called the restaurant and was initially concerned about a duplicate charge on their credit card. When my General Manager of that location tried to...
explain that the charge was pending and not complete, the customer would not hear any of it. The GM checked in our system to verify that the charge was not duplicated. Our system very clearly indicates if a card has been used more than once, placing it in it’s own category. The GM then offered to refund the money after 72 hours if the duplicate transaction was indeed valid. Apparently this agitated the customer to the point of posting some negative and disparaging information to the Arena’s Milford Facebook page, including comments referring to one of my employees as “man looking” which I did not feel was appropriate. (see Example 1) The Monday night in question was abnormally busy and the person that got up from the bar was an employee who happened to be there with her husband having dinner. The woman in the green dress was the GM of the Milford location, and she had been called in to help. I was in agreement with the customer on the topic of the inappropriate attire, and the GM has been disciplined accordingly. As for the employee who stepped in to help, I can assure you that she conducted herself in a food safe manner regardless of whether she was working at the time or helping. On the topic of the Credit Card being changed, again I agree with the customer in this situation, and the employee was appropriately disciplined as well. Where this takes a turn for the worse is the posting by the Customer’s boyfriend and who I assume is his brother. I have included pictures of those exchanges. Arena’s will not tolerate comments such as “Some manly looking chick” referring to my employees. (see Example 1) After deleting that particular post, we received another from the Customer’s boyfriend on another Arena’s Facebook page. (see Example 2) Both of these accounts are monitored by me. I explained that his comments were inappropriate but the complaints were valid. Then I gave him my email and offered to give him my phone number to resolve it. Then again, the brother posted another post to Arena’s Milford Facebook. (Example 3) Again I expressed that the complaint was valid but the rude comments wouldn't be tolerated. The Customer’s boyfriend then claimed they “could care less about the 32 dollar bill” I am not sure what I can do to rectify the situation since I have offered my contact information and that it was left that they were not concerned about the bill at this point. If the customer would like a refund, I will gladly provide one. Harassing us by bouncing all over Arena’s social media accounts, even after I had offered contact information, is behavior that diminishes the seriousness of the complaint. Thank you,
I did call [redacted] and left a message for her about two weeks ago. After she returned my call, I apologized for the unfortunate experience that she had at our facility and thanked her for being a repeat customer.Obviously she was upset. I cxplained to her that I have spoken to my insurance agent...
and he advised me that the best way would be for her to file a claim with her insurance company (I believe That she already has done that) and if they feel we are at fault, they will either contact me or my insurance and they will figure it out as they do with any other claim.I don’t think that she was happy with my response and treatened to take some other action, which I really don't think that it is necessary. I did not tell her that we don't wantto have anything to do with her; I just simply told her what the procedure was.I hope that she would realize that this would be the best way for both of us to handle this Tlatter.I am sure one way or another I will here from her.I would like to resolve this matter as quickly as possible and through both our insurance companies.
Earlier today (1/27/2014) I went into this shell gas station to buy a drink, by the entrance door I happen to see a drink cooler full of [redacted] (sweat tea) for .59 cents or 2 for $1. So I decide to try it, after drinking the whole can I'm reading it and happen to look at the expiration date which was (8/4/2013), 5 months past it's expiration!!!!! At this point I am disgusted with the fact that I drank a whole can of it and furious that they sold me a drink 5 months past it's expiration date which may have gotten me sick. Well now I know why it was so cheap. I guess the money they make selling their expired products are more important than their customers health. I am very disappointed because I'm sure I'm not the only one.
Shell Gas Station [redacted] Tn XXXXXKentucky Lake Oil Company [redacted] S [redacted] St[redacted], Ky XXXXXI was charge $20.01 twice for gas, and this caused an over draft in my account which cost me $32 so I paid $72 for $20 worth of gas. I went to Shell and they told me to give it a few days for them to put the money back in and if they didnt to come back. I went back and gave them a copy of all my transactions on Friday. It is now Wednesday and they havent called me back or put the money back in my account. The Manager at Shell has done everything he can and has been really helpful. The bank will give me the $32 over draft fee back once the $20 is put back in my account. I would just like the $20 back. Copy of the transaction is included as an attatchment.the date was 7/14/14amount purchased = $20.01amount charged = $40.02Over draft fee = $32.00what it cost me total = $72.02[redacted] tn XXXXX
Review: The price for gas according to the sign states its $1.89 for unleaded gas, at the shell station say $1.89, when you get to the pump its 2.09. The cashier stated that she was not able to change the price, and that the owner has been doing this for months.Desired Settlement: Fix the price so you pay what's on the sign. A credit would be great.

Regards,
This station will rip you off. They charge $2.29 for a cash transaction, but $2.69 for a credit/debit charge. Why has Shell not done anything about it. Will never go there again. And I have to ask "Is this legal?" They do display it high on their pylon, but nothing about it as you're pumping gas. I think the AG's office should look into it.
ON 03/16/2015 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:30pm I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE CAR WASH AT THE SHELL GAS STATION LOCATED AT [redacted] XXXXX. I'VE USED THIS CAR WASH MANY TIMES BEFORE AND NEVER HAD ANY ISSUES. I ENTERED INTO THE CAR WASH AS USUAL AND PULLED MY VEHICLE FORWARD UNTIL THE MACHINE INSTRUCTED ME TO STOP AND PUT MY CAR IN PARK. THE CAR WASH RAN FOR ABOUT A MINUTE TO A MINUTE AND A HALF AND THEN I HEAR A VERY AUDIBLE LOUD CRASH INTO THE BACK OF MY VEHICLE AND AT THAT TIME I REALIZED THAT SOMETHING IN THE CAR WASH HAD BUSTED THE BACK WINDOW OUT OF MY VEHICLE. THE SECOND I REALIZED THAT MY BACK WINDOW HAD BEEN BUSTED OUT I IMMEDIATELY PULLED FORWARD OUT OF THE CAR WASH BECAUSE THE WATER FROM THE CAR WASH WAS THEN RUSHING INTO MY BACK WINDOW. I THEN WENT INTO THE SHELL STATION AND ASKED TO SPEAK WITH THE MANAGER WHO THEN TOOK PICTURES OF THE DAMAGE AND SAID THAT SHE WOULD HAVE TO SEND THE INFORMATION TO HER BOSS. I CALLED THEM YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AND THE MANAGER STATED THAT SHE HAD A MAINTENANCE PERSON COME OUT AND THEY STATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MACHINE AND THAT THEY WERE NOT AT FAULT AND WEREN'T GOING TO BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING FOR ME. IF THE MACHINE WAS NOT BROKEN THEN MY CAR WOULD STILL HAVE A BACK WINDOW.Product_Or_Service: CAR WASHDesired SettlementI WOULD LIKE TO BE REIMBURSED FOR THE COST TO FIX MY BACK WINDOW AS WELL AS ALL DAMAGE THAT HAS BEEN DONE TO THE BACK DOOR AND REAR LEFT AND RIGHT REAR PANELS. THEY CAN CHOOSE TO PREPAY AT A REPAIR SHOP OF THEIR CHOICE AND I CAN TAKE IT THERE OR I CAN TAKE IT SOMEWHERE AND THEY WILL REPAY THE COST TO GET IT REPAIRED. THIS NEEDS TO BE DONE ASAP AS THIS IS MY PRIMARY FORM OF TRANSPORTATION.Business Response As soon as the customer reported damage to his Jeep the car wash was closed and inspected by the General Manger for any mechancial issues. Then the private and independent company that we use to repair all of our car washes was called out and he inpected the car wash for any mechanical of phyiscal equipment issues. He found nothing wrong with the wash and had written a statement that nothing was wrong with the wash and in his opinion this was a customer error. Due to this statement from [redacted] along with no prior or future complains we do not have anything wrong with our car wash that would cause this sort of damanger to a vechicle we are not liable for the repairs that [redacted] is requesting. Thank youConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I have used this car wash and many other car washes just like this one without incident. The instructions are simple... you pull your vehicle forward into the car wash until the machine tells you to stop and then you put your car in park (which keeps the vehicle from moving during the wash cycle) and then once the wash cycle is complete a green light will appear letting you know when it is finished and it is safe to pull your vehicle forward. The only documentation they have is from some company called [redacted] who has no formal website or ratings online. We have no way of knowing that the technician has any prior experience or knowledge of this machine and its workings. If they are choosing to decline my request then I have no choice but to file for reimbursement through [redacted] small claims court.
charged 2.81 gal using my shell card. shell card is same as cash. rip off.......
Review: On June,28,2014 I purchased fuel at this shell station. The price listed per gallon was 3.42 per goal.I payed at pump with my credit card using Winn Dixie fuel perks care.I had 50 cent per gal credit.after pumping 20 gal and getting receipt I noticed price per gal was 3.65 gal minus .50 fuel perks which had me paying 3.15 gal. I was told the increase per gal was due to me paying with credit card.this practice was not listed on the pump or sing.I feel that this is very deceiving and possible illegal practice.Desired Settlement: Please have this info about station charges posted so other people are not scammed .call me if you have info on this.

Regards,
Review: I stopped at the Shell gas station for gas today, October [redacted] at lunchtime. I went inside and paid $40 cash, I also used my Shell Loyalty Rewards Card for the $0.03 off per gallon of gas that it promises. I went out to the pump and began to fill up only to notice that I was being charged the credit price of $3.86, when I should be charged the cash price of $3.76. I went inside and spoke with the [redacted] and he told me there was nothing they could do. I went home and called Shell Customer Service and they told me that was something the store [redacted] would need to do. I filed a complaint, but this is false advertising and I feel scammed and taken advantage of.Desired Settlement: I would like this recorded for other customer knowledge, but I would also like a refund. If I wanted to pay the higher credit price I would have saved my time and payed with my card at the pump and avoided walking inside the store.

Review: Coming from Pomona NY on 3/**/14, I stopped at the shell gas station located at [redacted] to put some gas before taking the highway to comeback home. Right immediately after I took the highway my car started to run weak and struggle to pick up. finally I made it home and parked it for a couple days until I would be able to bring it to the dealer. When it was time to bring it to the dealer, I had to use the towing service to bring it to the dealer because my car did not start and was releasing smoke and smelled funny. The dealer took a gas sample and I was informed that the gas was contaminated with a gel like substance. I called the gas station and I was told that they have not received any complaints about contaminated gas.My car is at the dealer pending estimates and repairs. A gas sample is kept at the dealer and will be available if needed.Sincerely,[redacted]Desired Settlement: I need gas station to pay for the repairs to my car. The damage to my car are caused by the contaminated gas.

Sincerely,
Review: I drove in for gas the advertisement was 4.27 per gallon for credit cards and 4.19 for gas. Also if you use your stop and shop card and receive an additional discount. My receipt states that I had .50 deduction per gallon for gas. Because I paid with cash my receipt states I should have paid $3.49 per gallon but when I began to pump the gas it registered at 4.19. I went back and spoke with the cashier and the manager stated that the gas was $4.89 which was not displayed at the pump and not on my receipt. Also the receipt stated I gave him 50.00 cash and he gave me $10.00 in change which was not true I gave him $40.00 cash and that's it. I believe someone either made a mistake or he taking money from the register. At any rate the whole experience was creepy I have never had this issue at shell gas station.Desired Settlement: I want my .50 discount per gallon on gas.

Response:
Dear sir/madam,
We have replied to this customer regarding the complaint she made about Stop and Shop because she wasn't able to receive a discount somehow. We told her that we can issue a discount from our end. However we have no control over stop and shop accounts. Its a third party account. We provided her information about the stop and shop contact number so she can fix the issue with her stop and shop account. There's no problem issuing a discount using stop and stop cards from our end. I told her on her next visit I will assist her personally using a stop and shop card if she will pay on the pump or inside.

Review: On 8/22/14 I went to the shell station on 350 E.H street in Chula Vista Ca to get premium fuel for my 2012 chevy Camaro. I pulled up to pump number 7 and filled my tank with what I thought was premium fuel. As I pulled out of the station my car began to sputter and died causing me to pull over to the side of the road (almost causing an accident in the process). I called triple A roadside assistance to tow my car. When the tow truck arrived the driver asked me "what happened", I explained my situation and the driver said " I just towed a lady with a BMW that filled up at that station and now her car won't start". I returned to the station to inform the manager of my situation, as I was walking in the station I met a gentleman that had a 1982 Corvette that filled up at pump 7 and was waiting on a tow truck, because his car would not start. We both entered the station and explained our situation to the attendant, much to our surprise the attendant said "so what's the problem". The Chula Vista Police Department was called and we were advised by the officer that a report could not be taken, because it was a civil matter. We filed an incident report with the station and were told to come back on Monday and speak with the manager. On 8/23/14 I had my car towed to a repair shop, I was informed that my car had been contaminated with disel fuel and that the repairs would be 900 dollars. I returned to the station on 8/25/14 to speak with the manager. I asked the same apathetic attendant if I could have the name and contact information for the owner and manager of the station, his reply was "there are a lot of owners". This is complete negligence on the part of the gas station.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the repairs to my car and the inconvenience that the negligence of the station has caused
Review: I put money on my card to fill up a rental car I was returning to Avis, down the street that morning.I told the manager I didn't know how much it would take to fill up.She said, don't worry,it will be credited back to your card.I didn't think anything about it,because the other Shell stations in town have credited the same card I used, while at there station in the past. However, a week later when I looked at my bank statement,I found out that there was "no credit" !!! I couldn't find a good phone number for this station so I drove back there to see about a refund to my card.I was told that I was supposed to give her a receipt,on the spot,to prove I had not used all the gas.I told her that the other Shell stations I've used in town have credited my card and I didn't need to provide a receipt-it was a "modern" Shell station that read the pump and sent the credit all electronically. She was extremely rude and declared that "I don't CARE how other Shell stations do it-this is our policy !" I was flabbergasted by her harsh reply.
They "ripped me off" and I want my six dollars credited back to my card.
I already have filed a complaint with Shell corporate, but as of a week ago, there has been no response from anyone.
I will never ever go to that station again.I also found huge amounts of complaints from others,on the net and their station has been sold to Balboa Unocal.Desired Settlement: I just want fair treatment.
Would you have believed a six dollar credit could be such a big deal ???
Review: I paid for the automatic car wash on 3 occasions. It did not function properly any of the times. The employee/manager were rude and would not assist
Ive been in 3 times now because the automatic car wash has not operated properly when I've paid for a 'best wash'. I have been treated rudely and disrespectfully by both the cashier and the 'manager'. The issue still has not been resolved and I have paid $23 for 3 carwashes that have not worked correctly. This evening I also witnessed the manager treat several other customers in a very rude and disrespectful manner. I have reported this incident to corporate.Desired Settlement: Refund in the amount of $23

Review: On July 1, 2014 I took my [redacted] to the station for service. I was given a price of 350 for the work which was suppose to be done the next day. The mechanic didn't come the next day and they had another mechanic there, he didn't get to my car until late at which that time he said the other mechanic said he could do it for 350 but he couldn't. Now they are telling me that they are going to fire Eric the first mechanic because they have not been able to reach him and he hasn't been back to the shop. So now they are telling me that it will be more money to fix the car than orginally quoted because because of this mechanic. Now thats not my fault all I know is I was quoted 350 for the work and they should honor the agreement. The man is not being fair at all my car has been there all this time and now he is like come get the keys cause he is not doing the work for 350 he would be losing money.Desired Settlement: I would like them to honor the 350 price for repair. its been sitting there for a few days and still not fixed.
Review: Paid $40 to fuel up my car, just got fuel for $20. Clerk insists I just gave her $20. I let the Clerk count the money I just got from the bank in an envelope with the bank recipe. She confirms $40 are missing, still insisted I just gave her $20.Talked with the manager, said he would check the balance and recordings and get back to me. Never heard from him again.Called Shell, got told station is a franchise station and they check on it, still waiting for weeks now.Highly disappointed from Shell and never using them again.Desired Settlement: I gave him my cell phone number and got told he will check the records from that day. Never heard anything from him again.I just want my $20 back and a simple apology from the manager for not following up as promised and for that unacceptable behavior of the female clerk.
Review: [redacted] shell offers Car Wash discount of 20c per gallon. I purchased an unltimate car wash at a discounted price from the pump. The receipt for car wash code printed on it had an expiry date of 15 days from the date it was printed. I could not wash my car the same day or even within 15 days due to inclement weather. After 15 days the code expired and the business will not honor it any more. So essentially they took my money and provided me no service for it. I feel that this is not fair. I even offered the business to pay the disount back. At least the business could refund the amount I actually paid for the car wash since I did not get any value in return.Desired Settlement: Business should either remove the expiry date from the car wash tickets in future or at least refund the orginal amount paid by the customer if not redeemed by the expiry date.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution should satisfy the current complaint. However I would request the business to not impose an expiry date on car wash service for which the customer has already paid and not obtained the service.
Regards,
Review: Used the carwash (SUV) and it ripped my rear windshield wiper off and put an 18-inch scratch on the side of my vehicle. Manager told me that there is a "sign" outside the entrance of the carwash that says the business is not responsible for damages. There is no such sign.Desired Settlement: Repairs cost me $250. I would appreciate restitution.
