Have used SSI for the HVAC, Heating and Plumbing for the last years Always courteous, on-time and informative Today's technician, Clint, was very helpful and would not hesitate to recommend SSI to anyone requiring their services

On November 6, we received a complaint from our
customer *** *** *** regarding services rendered on October 27th and November 2nd. On October
we responded to a call that *** *** had no heat and upon arrival Chris
Leach our senior service technician of years found that
the thermostat was
turned off so the system would not run and found that once he turned the system
on he noticed the thermostat was off a few degrees and therefore may turning
the system off prematurely. Chris
recommended he replace the thermostatHe gave *** *** a price to replace
the thermostat and *** *** declined.
*** *** decided to purchase his own thermostat online and install it
himself. The thermostat *** ***
bought did not work and he then went to *** *** and bought another
thermostat which also did not work.*** *** called us back because he still had no heat and
we responded on Monday, November 2, and Patrick another senior service
technician found that the inducer motor was bad and had a loose
connection. According to Patrick Mr
Benning came downstairs to see what was happening and seen there was a wire
that came in front of the inducer motor and appeared that someone had put tape
around it as to repair it. Patrick says
he wasn’t sure why it was like that and *** *** assumes it was “RIGGED”
this way by SSI. He gave *** *** the service agreement
price to replace the inducer motor (which is a 20% discount off our COD rates)
and call me to ask about any additional money off because of the issue he was
having. So we gave him another 10% off
the COD price. The COD price $and we
sold it to him at $487.80. Patrick
ordered the motor and we installed it on November 5, 2015.On November 6, we received the complaint from Mr
Benning and we contacted him to discuss the issue and I listened to what Mr
Benning had to say and the experience he had with us and told him that I would
speak to Patrick and Chris about this and call him back that afternoon I also ask *** *** what he would like for
us to do and he told me he did not know.
After speaking to Patrick and
Chris I called *** *** back to discuss my findings and offer a
resolution. While speaking to Mr
Benning I was apologizing to him about the service he perceived as terrible and
agreed that we could have done a better job and apologized to him regarding
Chris attitude that *** *** believed to be argumentative. I assured him that Chris is not like that and
that Chris has been in his home before servicing his system and he has never
had a problem with him in the past and that there has not been any issues in
the past years and that we were sorry for this current experience. I told him that every time we came out to do
his inspection on his system that the system is running fine and performing as
expected I assured him that Chris did not do anything to his system and that
Chris has been employed with SSI for years and we have never had any
problems with Chris our complaints of wrong doing. That I stood behind Chris that Chris is an
honest technician. At this time Mr
Benning cut me off and started to yell at me over the phone telling me that I
am taking the “Company Line” on this and was not willing to offer any after he
has spent $on a system that he felt he did not have to spend. I told *** *** I was willing to make an
offer to him but he cut me off and started yelling at me. He became very belligerent and cursing over
the phone and calling our technician’s foul names. At this point I told *** *** that I was
not willing to work with him now since he was talking to me this way and he
hung up on meI was willing to give him money back for the cost of the
thermostats but he told me he returned one of them and decided to keep the
other. We were also willing to extend
his service agreement 1-years at no charge ($Value) but he cut me off
and started yelling at me and using foul language and did not let me finish
speaking. It was also asked in my first
conversation with *** *** what he would like us to do and he told me that I
was the manager for me to tell him. I
tried. It did get to a point that he could not speak to me as a
human being and talk this out that he had to resort to foul language and became
belligerent to me and accuse our company and technicians as thief’s and accuses

Excellent technician providing top flight HVAC serviceProvided an in-depth analysis of the system in a friendly professional manner

Solicited estimates from various companies Water Heater, Air Conditioner, HVAC were in excess of 24-years old in the condo I purchased During the Christmas holiday timeframe the entire system was failing of which companies would not offer an estimate until after the New Year SSI, Bill Blair immediately scheduled an estimate appointment, assessed the system took the necessary measurements of all units involved The crew of arrived promptly to undertake a massive overhaul of the system spending in excess of 9+ hours to include the piping Truly a professional crew, which they took extreme care to ensure no damage was done to the condo With the job completed I am impressed with the new efficiency of the entire system The efficiency, the price, and the understanding of the customer to address any concerns was impressive The support staff, and even the dispatcher were kept informed as to the status of the job on site

I am writing to express my appreciation to SSI's Chris L***, who regularly is one of the team that services the HVAC system installed by SSI at my home Chris is always on time--even early, and he cheerfully does his business quickly and efficiently Over the years, he has been dependable, and I wish to express my appreciation for his professionalism

The SSI team is great The service people they send out are very knowledgeable about the product, friendly, and helpful

Geronimo Cwith Service Specialties Incdid a wonderful job replacing our air conditioner blower He was very professional, hard working, and arrived on time We were very impressed with the high level of service of Service Specialties Incand will most certainly use them in the future

Mr. B[redacted] was very polite, respectful and knowledgeable. we have a new house so this was the first time a technician looked at the hvac since it was installed. he found several sub-par conditions which he was able to correct and spotted a potentially serious problem in time for us to have the original installer correct it. he sent complete notes and pics of the problem areas. we feel we got a very comprehensive inspection at a very reasonable price.

Company provides very professional service. They are reliable, courteous, knowledgeable and above all....honest.

Service was done quick and complete

Patrick K[redacted] of SSI quickly responded to my call for assistance in my furnace room. It didn't take long for him to identify and fix the leak in the humidifier line. He did a superb clean-up job after ensuring all the joints in the line are secure.
I continue to be impressed with the fine service of SSI, and particularly of Patrick's competence and positive attitude. 10 Atta-boys!

We came back from vacation greeted w/a broken air conditioner. SSI was very responsive in troubleshooting the issue and discussing options. Jose C and Eric Y were responsible for the installation of our AC Unit and furnace. They were punctual, professional and courteous. The area where the outdoor unit needed to be installed needed to be graded and buttressed for support, this wasn't originally anticipated. They were able to handle this in a timely manner w/out additional cost. We are very pleased working with SSI and their staff.

I had a great experience with SSI.
The service technician (Joey) did a wonderful job and was really helpful in educating me on some other work that I was considering. Our CSR/Dispatcher kept us up to date on our scheduling and when Joey would arrive. They had to reschedule us once to keep a 7am appointment, but they called 3 days in advance and worked us into the schedule a few days later.
We wanted to replace both of our hose bibs, but because of the location of the second one, it would have been an additional cost and would have meant moving some fairly heavy shelving units in the basement - so I called that one off.
We are going to have SSI come back and run a gas line for a stove at a later date, and Joey provided an initial estimate of the work.
Great experience, and strongly recommended.

Very happy with the service provided by SSI on the install of my AC/heat pump unit. Starting with the sales rep, "Bacon", he was prompt professional and detailed oriented. He provided me with a variety of options including his recommendations. I was upfront with him regarding my efforts to obtain multiple bids. Once I got all my bids in, I worked with Bacon to come to an agreeable price point and was scheduled for service within 2 days. Never once felt being taken for a ride and he was always upfront about aspects I would get or wouldn't.
The install team (Joe, James and Reid) arrived as promised at 730 sharp. Joe informed me of what would happen through out the day and proceeded to layout a tarp from the entrance to the upstairs AC unit to maintain the cleanliness of the house. The crew worked through the day and were always very polite. At the end of the install Joe showed me all the work - it was done exactly as Bacon said it would be. They finished on time and left behind a clean work space and the attic is better organized than it was before. Appreciate the teams effort. Would use them again.

Jose C., was tasked with replacing a compressor on our AC unit. He was on time and very professional. He even picked up my morning paper on the way in! He worked hard and used shoe covers when he had to enter. He kept me updated on his progress during work. I was very pleased with his work and his great attitude. Will certainly be using this company again!
