This company was a waste of time and money. We purchased the plan for our new home in May of 2016. In July of 2016 we started having issues with our A/C and finally it stopped working. We called Secure Home Warranty to make our first claim and was told that they would get a technician out right away because it was hot and they classify that as an emergency, and that in the next hour we would recieve a phone call to let us know that it was assigned to a technician...12 hours later still no call back. Called them back to ask what was going on they had no claim assigned to the policy and would have to start over. Needless to say we hired our own A/C guy paid out of our pockets and got the issue fixed within 2 hours of calling them back. The second attempt to make a claim was due to a broken pipe that required us to shut off all the water in our home until it was fixed. Called at approximately 11 pm, they said it was classified as an emergency and that someone would get in contact with me within the next few hours to confirm an appointment. 8 hours later...still no call. Called them back they said it was in processing and that someone would call. To save you and I time this went on for over 48 hours. The final call, they said they weren't even showing a claim. I lost my marbles and cancelled the policy. In our contract it says that we can cancel at anytime and the cancellation fee would be waived. They didn't want to waive the fee. After much argument they finally said they would refund the fee, the rep never apologized and was very disrespectful. They are supposed to be sending a check for the refund so we will see how that goes. But please....DO NOT waste your time and money on these people. It was a good deal that was obviously to good to be true. Very unprofessional and not worth it.
Customer service is limited and bad, horrible follow up, non existent is more accurate if calling in an issue and the last agent I spoke with was having another conversation right on the phone, would be a little better if there was online access to the account
This company is complete fraud. They spend all of their money on the sales side and hardly provide any home warranty service at all. When you call to complain or to find out the status of a claim, expect them to say they will call you back, but they will not call you back. They treat their service providers poorly as well. Good service providers refuse to work with them in our area. Therefore, their service providers are not trustworthy and typically do not follow-up to make appointments and do not show up for appointments if they do schedule one. When this happens, Secure Home Warranty gives you the run around and does not rectify the problem. It's all on you to call them and then be told they will have a service provider call you or they will call you. Round and round the circle goes with no home warranty service provided. DO NOT use Secure Home Warranty.
At first there were delays due to the loose part that had to be ordered and replaced by the handyman. Overall it took 3 days to fix my electrical system in my home, it was a transparent process and the claim reimbursement felt good to receive by check in the mail a week later
Very good customer service and good people on the phone. They didn't put me on hold for hours or days. I called for both the refrigerator coolant motor and my heating system. On the two claims it was a pleasant repair and good on the time of arrival as well
Okay so the way I found out about this servie was from a sale they had around presidents day and I booked an elite plan with extra coverage on pool and a few other apps. I made my husband call in recently to see if we could get our annoying ceiling fan to work and the claim turned out great!! The entire thing took one day and we didnt have to call up the technician ourselves or any of that
I was on the fence with many different providers for a while before choosing Secure Home as my home warranty. I ended up sticking with Secure because they have overall convenience and are reliable. I'm not so great with computers either so its good for me to speak to someone over the phone like I did recently when I arranged for my cooking range to be fixed. The woman I spoke to set up the repair for the following business day and was definitely helpful

They have managed to set repair on our electrical box unit most recently and everything down to the brevity of the process was delightful
I had service for repair scheduled on 10/02 and at around 2 in that afternoon I had a nice man arrive to start work on my ductwork lining in my home, he fixe the issue in two days and on top of the quick repair I was also covered for costs that would have been a pain if I didn't have this plan
The first date I had scheduled to have the repair on my ac system turned out to be no good for me, and still they were able to reschedule the repair conveniently for the next day after. I was impressed with how well they dealt with my claim

I was glad I chose to let him do that because over the course of 2 seasons I have had 2 systems serviced, my garage door and a light fixture inside of my home. I didn't have to pay out of pocket random costs,it had total coverage
Secure Home Warranty is not a reputable company. Before you buy their product they will promise you golden mountains. Don’t trust them. Read their fine print because they will not cover 100%. If you have an expensive repair FORGET IT. We had a problem with our A/C unit at the end of July. They did not have a technician to do the diagnoses and repair and told us to find a local technician to take care of the problem. We did find a technician who diagnosed the problem and replaced the compressor for $1870. We went through turmoil when we sent our bill for reimbursement. They tried to pay us as little as they can, even after we presented 3 years of maintenance records on our A/C unit. We filed a complaint and after that Secure Home Warranty didn't even honor their final low reimbursement offer we received from them. Instead they wanted to refund the policy in full, 5 months after we bought the policy. What a SCAM.
The bottom line is: Don’t do business with them. Save yourself the time and money. Go with reputable companies to avoid the headache.

Secure home really helped us out when our home electricity went out about 2 weeks or so ago. They understood urgency and were able to put us in contact with the electrician who fixed the issue the same day, and the visit was covered too by our elite plan. Really nifty warranty
I had my ductwork falling off and it was messing with the ventialtion in my house in september, so I gave a call to Secur home warranty and they dispatched one ay later to fix the issue :)
