Upon receipt of this complaint, we emailed [redacted] to find out where he purchased the gifts, whether at a Safeway store or from the on-line Gift Card Mall [redacted] responded that he purchased from us via [redacted] *** [redacted] is an on-line auction that is not affiliated with Safeway in any wayWe have sent an email to [redacted] and advised him that he would need to contact [redacted] to get this matter addressedUnfortunately, we are unable to reimburse for Gift Cards that were not purchased from us

[redacted] obtained the gift cards from a business called [redacted] ***. We asked him to contact [redacted] about the error and if there are any problems with the gift cards, [redacted] can contact Safeway with details about where they purchased the cards and what the card numbers are so that we can investigate this matter further. We are unable to assist [redacted] directly because he did not obtain the cards from Safeway.

It took my emailing every day and calling every other day to get this resolved. Had I not complained, I would not have received the refund. The last two people I spoke with at Safeway Online were the only ones who clearly and truthfully told me the situation as to why my refund was not originally processed and why I was given so much dis-information. Please train your staff better. I'm a long time customer and deserved better. I'm disabled and in a wheelchair. Grocery delivery is crucial to me. As your records show, when I do request a credit, I always praise the service and drivers. I should have been treated like an A-list customer; I wasn't.Sincerely, [redacted]

Upon receipt of this complaint we referred to the Store DirectorThe Store Director has contacted [redacted] and apologized for the inconvenienceShe will be going into the store to pick up a $gift card from the Director due to the issues that occurred

Upon receipt of this case, we referred the concern to the Supervisor of the agentShe called and left a message for [redacted] that this concern had been addressed with the employee and that they would be sending her a $gift card to her home address for the inconvenience

Hello this is had been resolved when I contacted the customer about the complaint she stated that the issue of the gift card had been taken care of.and that she would notify the complaint that it had been resolvef

The Safeway Gas Station at Pueblo West is being deceptive to the public by posting their discounted gas price on their large lighted sign instead of their regular price that is available to all customers.

A person traveling on Highway 50 will see a lighted "loaf and jug" sign on the South side showing the full price of their gasoline. Same person will also see a lighted "Safeway" sign on the North side showing the discounted price of their gasoline. Safeway's posted discounted price is approximately 10 cents below the posted price of Loaf and Jug. Safeway's discounted gas price amounts to giving a 10 cent discount to those customers who pay cash or use a debit card for their purchase. Those customers using credit cards will be surcharged approx 10 cents per gallon. Safeway does not post at their pumps that credit card customers are paying a surcharge on their gas purchases.

Safeway is using deception to lure gas customers to their station by posting a gas price that is available to only those certain customers who have the ability to pay cash...

We are disappointed to learn that Mr. [redacted] did not feel he had a satisfactory shopping experience in oneof our stores. we havebeen unable to reach him.Our Portland Division Vice President of Operations has emailed the customer letting him know of ourinterest In discussing this matter. In the email he provided his phone number, requesting that thecustomer reach out to discuss the matter, but has not heard back.Prior to this situation reaching the Revdex.com, our area District Manager also attempted toresolve the Issue. He too left a voicemail with the customer and received no return phone call. He alsoreplied to Mr. [redacted]'s concerns via email, offering to assist, and was unable to obtain the necessaryinformation needed to reach any sort of resolution.We welcome the opportunity to discuss the complaint with this customer and to resolve any remainingconcerns he may have. Customer Service remains our number one priority.

Review: Safeway advertises rewards points earned at grocery store as a cash discount to be used at the gas pump. But today when I tried to use points earned at the grocery store they were not honored when I tried to use a credit card to pay for the gas purchase. There is nowhere in the store or at the pump ads that would say that the rewards points earned at the grocery store would not be honored at the pump if a credit card is used.Desired Settlement: Safeway has to either honor the rewards points earned at the grocery store or post ads everywhere that would warn that the rewards points are not treated as cash and cannot be used with a credit card purchase at the pimp.

January 31, 2014 [redacted]: We have received your statement registered with the Revdex.com regarding the use of rewards points at the gas pump at our Dover, DE store. I’m sorry that you were not able to use your rewards points at the gas pump. Please accept my sincere apology for any frustration and inconvenience you have experienced. Our goal, always, is to exceed the expectations of our customers, and when that level of excellence is compromised, even with one customer, we take it seriously. As you may know, for every dollar spent on groceries, you earn 1 point and for every 100 points, you earn 10 cents off per gallon reward. You can select to use all of your reward points or none of them. There is no restriction of paying for gas with a credit card; however, the cash price is 10 cents less. In other words, if you pay with cash, debit card or a Safeway gift card, you will be charged a lower price (10 cents) per gallon. In the future, should you need assistance with using your reward points at the gas pump, please feel free to request assistance from the gas station attendant. Additional information regarding the gas rewards program terms and conditions is available at www.safeway.com. Thank you for your feedback.
