This is a response to Customer Complaint # ***;It is the Mission of Roy's Moving to provide each and every customer with Professional and Timely Relocation services. However; in the Moving business, sometimes our customers are less than truthfull about the inventory and items being moved
This has the effect of causing the relocations to go over the estimated time given. Each customer at the time of reserving the job is given an ESTIMATE as to the cost and time it will take to complete the jobThis estimate is based on a conversation made with the client about their inventory and items being moved.Our moving crews and especially the Foreman of each crew, are trained and very experienced in the ability to see, while on site at the customers home, and to make an accurate determination of the actual time ( the hours and per say the cost) of relocation.The time it takes to complete job is based on multiple factors: number of items, type of inventory, the items to be disassebled and reassembled, materials needed (ie: tape, boxes, shrink wrap etc.) these materials are used in order to protect the customers furniture and provided a damage free moving serviceAlso the location itself(ie: stairs, elevators, distance to truck)The Foreman while on site, conveys the revised estimate and again the estimated total cost of the move to the customer.In this case, the customer was contacted as to the truck and crew running late, she was offered to reschedule, but Roy's understands our customers needs as to the relocation needing to be done on the reserved dateOur crews often are required to work extra long days and hours in order to provide and accommodate our customers relocation needs.Each customer, at the time of reserving the job, is made aware of materials needed such as tape, boxes etcand may add additional costs to the jobA cost list of materials is provided with every contract sent to the client.As in the case of this customer, the estimate and revised cost of the move was conveyed per the foreman while on siteand agreed apon by the client, prior to the moving services beginning.In regards to actual damages; Roy's Moving is Licensed and Insured, and each and every customer is given the standard insurance coverage requitred by law and is included, at NO additional cost to the client, with the actual cost of the moveHowever; sometimes items do get damaged despite our best effors to avoid them.Each customer is refered to our Claims Company in order to be compensated for the damagesRoy's will also be willing to negotiate and often refund monies due to the clients being inconvenienced

It was still hours before the move dateI scheduled the move on a thursday for a move the next week on a tuesday and then called friday to cancel itthat is far more than hours cancellation in advanceIf you are not going to refund me my deposit I will simply get my lawyer involvedThis is ABSOLUTELY rediculousYour business is completely unprofessionalI called MULTIPLE times after the incident to try to get in touch with a manager that doesn’t existOf the times I called on more than one occasion someone picked up the phone as if it was their own private line and not the phone number for a business. So you can refund me my deposit or you will be getting served by my lawyerI have seen online that you have done this to multiple other customers

This has the effect of causing the relocations to go over the estimated time given and to increase to total cost of the move.Each customer at the time of reserving the job is given an ESTIMATE as to the cost and time it will take to complete the jobThis estimate is based on a conversation made with the client about their inventory and items being moved.In the case of Long Distance aka Interstate relocations, each job is based on the total inventory, weight and space which the inventory occupies within the moving truck. In order to insure an accurate and honest cost for each Interstate move, the foreman apon arrival at the clients home, will inventory each and every item being movedAs is the case with both local and interstate customers, more often then not, a truthful invertory list of items at the time of making the reservation is not given. However, with interstate moves, cost is not based on hours of service, but strictly on the inventory of the itemsOnce the inventory is taken and the total list of items along with the cost, is conveyed to the customer, including additional material costs, a revised contract is given to and signed by the clientSometimes this revised cost is less then the original estimate, sometimes it is more thenRegardless, the client always must sign off on the final contract for services rendered.Additionally, some areas being delivered to can not accommodate our tractor trailersIn such cases a shuttle service of the items is needed and additional costs are incured to the customer.Regarding Interstate relocations and the timely delivery of their inventory to the new location, by law we tell our customers delivery can take anywhere from to business days, depending on what part of the country they are relocating to( Florida verses California )Each customer is asked for a preferred date and time they would like deliverery when the reservation is being made; however, a day window is always conveyed regardless of their preferenceThis is done to ensure someone will be available to take delivery, wheather early or late of the preferred date.Delivery date and times with Interstate relocations can be affected by a number factors:First and foremost is the Weather; rain, snow, hurricanes, road closings etc. Traffic problems while traveling through multiple citiesAnd last, but not least, mechanical problems; truck breakdowns, DOT and weighstation stops and problems.In any case, the driver of the Intertstate truck is in constant contact with the customer to keep them informed as to when delivery may be expectedIt is the policy of Roy's Moving to give each and every Interstate customer at least hrsnotice of delivery date and time.All interstate customers are made aware and is in contract that final payment must be in cash or Postal Money order only

on august roys moving pick it job from santy cir in lencester ma in to our storage facilty ( please see Attach).mr *** goods stay in our storage untill december 2016. on that date delivery we close the deal with mr *** that we will not charch $per hour as
in august which is the pick up of our season .we will charge only $per hourby e mail and sign (please see Attach). we had no problem with the pich up date and job, move went nice and smooth, the problem start after mr *** got all the Good to his property he decided to call the cc company and dispute all transaction and charges . we send professorial movers that they work hr each guy, total of trucks, (see Attach). as we agree we will NOT charge $239,per hour only $AS WE DID . I am sure I did not make any requests regarding extra materials but I also see that I am not going to get any resolution out of this companyIt is the way they do their business (based on my experience and multiple negative online reveiws)The company never addressed the overcharge as wellIt does not apper that Revdex.com can help in any way. I cannot accept the answer from the company that does not represent true events

There were many untruthful statements made by Roy's moving company in the statement they provided to the Revdex.comFirst, I was only provided movers and not moversSecondly, the moving truck had plenty of room to fit into the drive way and did fit in the driveway comfortably once they readjusted the truck after they ran over the wallThirdly, they have never, ever provided me with the CSI information and have never even mentioned that this company existedI would call Roy's multiple times a week asking to speak to someone about the damages and they would only state that someone will be in touch soonNo one ever was in touchAfter numerous calls I spoke to a manager named *** who said there is nothing they can do I am not only thoroughlyunsatisfied with the move they provided, I am concerned with their follow up and the lies that they have provided to the Revdex.com to try and cover up their mis-management of the situationMy landlord has since repaired the wall and I have attached the invoice for the wall that was repairedRoy's moving company did not provide due diligence during the move and I would like a full reimbursement from Roy's Moving Company to fix the damages that were made.

On the day of the move our professional team was on their way to the customer to provide moving servicesthat she hired us to do for her.Unfortunately, when our guys arrived to the customer's house, they found out that for a legal reason the foreman of the job could not work in
that place. However, it was important for the company to deliver our services in spite all that happened that dayThe dispatch tried to solve the problem by offering the customer to have her move done on the next day because we had no other team available to send the same day.The customer refused to take his solution and decided to cancel the jobWe refunded the customer’s deposit she paid to reserve the job.The circumstance was unfortunate, and we no longer employ the foreman that wason that dayWhile we sympathies with the customer we do not feel responsibleto reimburse fees she incurred while hiring a different company
