I paid Rooco $349.20 on August 27th (reciept number ***) for a traffic violation ticket to be dealt with on my behalf.
On Wednesday Jan 27th I recieved an email stating they would not be attending court on my behalf and I must either pay my ticket or attend court myself. I have since found out through the news that Rooco has shut its doors due to changes to the way Alberta traffic courts and Edmonton Crown prosecutors operate that no longer allow them to represent clients as authorized agents. I have now had to repay my ticket with the city to a total of $391.
I had been issued a Traffic Violation Ticket with Voluntary Payment Amount: $388.00
Rooco provided service of paying out my ticket - I paid $349.20 to Rooco so that they can settle the ticket
But recently they have ceased their operations and asking me to pay my original amount and NOT willing to refund me the $349.20 which I paid them
Used Rooco to pay for several traffic tickets (they pay the tickets for me at a reduced price). Now the company has ceased operations and I am out the money as well as late fees owed to the court.
On October 3, 2019 I paid $99.90 to Rooco for them to assign an agent to appear in traffic court to get the fine reduced. They offer a ticket sharing service. I received an email from Rooco confirming that they received my submitted ticket and that they prioritize all tickets by their due date to ensure all tickets are paid on time. Rooco indicated that the ticket could be paid at anytime, up to and including the payment due date.
On November 20, 2019 I received an email stating that Rooco attended the courthouse on behalf of my ticket. Rooco noted that the Edmonton courthouse is no longer offering reductions, in hopes that more tickets will just be paid outright. Due to this change, Rooco was forced to set trials on all tickets. The email noted I would be updated again once my ticket was processed at trial and paid in full.
On January 28, 2019 Rooco announced that they ceased substantially all operations, and have begun providing notices to customers of the termination of the Company's services.
On January 30, 2019, I received an email stating that Rooco will NOT be able to appear in Traffic Court on my behalf and that I was to pay the violation ticket myself.
I have been unable to contact Rooco as they have disabled their phone and webpage. I did email ***@Roocoo.ca however, I did not receive a response.
Hello, I paid a ticket through Rooco on January 7th ($138.60). I received an email confirmation from them on January 21st saying my ticket had been paid. I received an email from them today stating:
Please be advised that Rooco will NOT be able to appear in Traffic Court on your behalf. As a result, you must either (1) pay the “Voluntary Payment Option” of your violation ticket (see: ***) no later than it's new due date; OR (2) appear in Traffic Court on the Court Appearance Date for your violation ticket.
I logged into my *** account and my ticket has never been paid when I received confirmation that it was paid in full.

I paid Rooco $106.20 for a ticket I received a couple months ago and then received an email from Rooco yesterday saying they cannot represent me and I had to then pay the $121.00 original ticket price (on top of what I’ve already paid Rooco). I have emails from Rooco and cannot get in contact with them.
Paid for the service and then was notified via email that they are no longer able to perform the service. No refund was received or offered. No reply to communication through the same email that the notification was sent.
I paid Rooco on January 16, 2020 in the amount of $150.30 to handle a traffic ticket on behalf of my husband. On January 28 they sent an email stating they would not be able to appear and handle the ticket and I would need to pay it myself. They have not mentioned a refund or issued a refund for the money they took. They have disconnected all their phones and removed all traces of their Social Media accounts.
I paid ROOCO $94.50 on October 14, 2019 to resolve a minor traffic violation that I had incurred on 24 Sept 2019. Rooco subsequently changed the terms of the contract on October 27, 2019. At that time I asked for the violation to be resolved and I have correspondence to that effect. I was assured that ROOCO would handle the matter, I have an email that states "Our agents will work out a deal with a trial crown and pay you ticket once they have accepted a deal on your behalf. We handle all processes for you and there is no additional fee for you". However, I received an email this morning (January 29, 2020), only one week from my court date (Feb 6, 2020) that ROOCO will not be able to represent my interests in court and that I will have to manage my traffic violation. ROOCO has breached the contract and has not provided any indication of refund of my initial payment.
Rooco is a company that promised if you paid them a set amount they would take your traffic ticket to court and pay it for you. I paid Rooco for two different tickets. One they were able to take care of but the second they did not pay, and instead shut their doors. Essentially they stole the money I paid for them to resolve my second ticket. Now I must pay that ticket on my own and I am out the funds I paid to Rooco. I want a refund but all ways to contact Rooco has been shut down.
Rooco was a company that I became aware of through the news in handling speeding tickets. Providing a cheaper rate than what the charge is on the ticket. The speeding ticket was priced at $111.00. They charged me $99.90. This was paid on September 28, 2019 with a receipt # ***. I had another ticket with receipt #*** that they took care of with no issues.
They had sent out an e-mail November 29, 2019 indicating certain issues with representation on the court house. Guaranteeing it would not have an effect on my record and I didn't need to be there. Today, I receieved an e-mail that they would not be able to represent me and to pay my fine. I went to their website and noticed their website with a notification of change in law and ththe recommendation of paying the fine. I paid the fine of $111.00 for maintaining my record in good standing.
Paid 4 fines through the website, 3 on Oct 26, 2019 and 1 on Oct 27, 2019. The company indicated they would taking these tickets to court. They have not provided the services they said they would. They did not pay the tickets; they did not go to court to fight these ticket. I have paid for services that have not been completed
I hired Rooco to act on my behalf to take over the handling of two speeding tickets.
1. October 11, 2019: Docket #***. Owing $140. Paid Rooco $124, billed to my credit card.
2. December 17, 2019: Docket #***. Owing $140. Paid Rooco $124, billed to my credit card.
I was assured there was nothing I needed to do, that Rooco would appear in traffic court on my behalf and these fines would be paid. On January 27th, I received an email from ***@rooco.ca saying, "Please be advised that Rooco will not be able to appear in Traffic Court on your behalf. As a result, you must either (1) pay the "Voluntary Payment Option" of your violation ticket....no later than this Tuesday, or (2) appear in Traffic Court on the Court Appearance Date for your violation ticket which is this Monday. To find your violation ticket online please see: ***."
I registered on the "***" website and found not only was this 'upcoming' ticket (***) not paid, but they hadn't paid a previous ticket they were supposed to pay (***) which was due on November 27, 2019. I immediately paid off these fines @ $140 + $6 service fee each. I emailed Rooco *** on Friday evening (January 24th) demanding an explanation, but have not heard back from them. I tried calling their telephone *** number (), but that number is out of service. I don't know what to do, but in total I ended up paying $540 for $280 worth of speeding fines.
I attempted to pay a photo radar ticket from Edmonton, and nearly a month later I get an email saying I have to pay it myself. No word about getting a refund from Rooco and most traces of their business have disappeared. It doesn't look promising. Definitely DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE.
I have used Rooco before and it was great no issues the ticket was paid for in a timely fashion. The latest time though was different. I received a ticket in November and paid Rooco immediately to take care of the fine, I did notice something different this time in that they said they would take longer in paying the fine, which I accepted. On Friday, January 24th, 2020 I received an email from Rooco saying that they would not appear in court on my behalf and that I would have to pay the fine myself. This means I would be paying for it twice, once to Rooco, and then again to the *** which I had paid Rooco to do on my behalf. I would like a refund from Rooco for the amount that I paid which was 134.10, for services not rendered. I will be contacting the police and the news about this as I am sure I am not the only one who now have been taken.
I paid Rooco $349.20 on August 27th (reciept number ***) for a traffic violation ticket to be dealt with on my behalf.
