First they lie in their advertising. They say claims will be processed in one day. When you submit a claim they tell you it will take seven business days. When you call on the eighth business day they tell you it will be fourteen business days. Want to take a guess on how many days they tell you it will be when you call on the fifteenth business day?
When you finally receive something, it is only part of what you are to be paid. They don't tell you they are only giving you a partial payment. You have to call them to get more paperwork to be filled out sent in. Then you get to start with the lies again. "It will be there in seven business days".
Don't waste your time, find an honest company

Aflac is a big lie. Be sure to read all policies thoroughly because they take advantage of hard working Americans with the fine print and red tape you must met to be paid for short term disability. Their auditor took 30 + days to find a reason to deny my husband's claim. They originally asked for any doctor's notes from the last 6 months of 2015 and when they couldn't find a reason to deny the claim the auditor ask for doctor's notes for the entire year of 2015. They still couldn't find a reason to support pre-existing and they just forced us to continue wait, wait, and wait. The auditor ecen claimed to never have received the documentation thay both myself and the physician's office provide. Finally, when I called to check the status the auditor denied the claim because my husband went to a regular doctor's appointment for what they claim was the cause of the disability within the first 30 days of coverage. 30 + days to tell us this. We could have made alternative plans if the auditor didn't string us along. Aflac caused us to exhaust any money that we had and now we have no money to pay our minimal expenses to make it until my husband returns to work.

I filed an accident claim for my spouse on May 30, 2015. On Nov 2, 2015, over 5 months later, AFLAC denied my claim. They used several different stall tactics before making a decision. I would have cancelled my policy (s) 5 months ago and saved almost $600, had I known that my claim would be denied. My wife had an accident at home, but it was determined by AFLAC that she fell because she was ill, therefore it wasnt an accident.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I finally received a telephone call 10-24-2016, I missed the call but the person did not leave a message. Once I called the telephone number back, I then realized it was AFLAC. The person I spoke with did not know why I received a call although she saw that someone called me. She told me she would email the person who called and ask for them to call me. That hasn't happened yet. I then go to the mailbox and I received 2 letters dated Oct. 6, 2016 and Oct. 12,2016. One stated they need my kaiser records from 12/2015 - 04/2016 and the second one stated they need my kaiser records for the past 2 years. SO NOW I'M EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED! I received a letter from AFLAC 2 months ago stating that they had my kaiser records but was waiting for the doctors notes. NOW, AFLAC is saying they don't have my records!!! All this for $150. Seriously???? I paid AFLAC almost $200 a month only to be told by a AFLAC representative in the beginning, that the claims department have to make sure I didn't sign up for AFLAC to process pre existing claims. Again, how can something pre exist, that NEVER existed. AFLAC was offered to me through my job because I was a new hire. NO ONE HERE KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING! Someone NEED to contact me within 24 hours or I'm going to start contacting Lawyers due to this company defrauding the system.
