My former employer offered Aflac as a benefit. I decided to get the Short Term Disability policy with my agent. After several inquires about my policies and when the payroll deductions would start, I was informed by my the knowingly unlicensed agent that his licenses were suspended by Aflac and he would have to get another agent to write my policies. Several weeks passed with no policy, no calls. I called the DM who informed me that my policy needed to be resubmitted it was in a pending status due to one missing document and that it would start on June 1st 2015. Because there were not payroll deductions for the policy that was issued after the start date of June 1st. The policy was not issued.

Good afternoon,
We have forwarded these concerns to the appropriate department to further research and address directly with the policyholder.
Thanks,

I filed a claim on 7-11-16 hoping for a speedy turn around on a claim. We pay a very high amount per month for the group plan , which by the way is horrible. I had a stroke and it paid ZERO because they said it wasn't caused by an accident...Go figure. I fell in my driveway on 7-11-16 and had to be seen for my hand injury. Everytime I call the company they say they haven't made a determination. Have to wait 10 to 12 business days for a response by mail. WOW - Im amazed that my little ole claim is that important that you have to take so long for a couple hundred dollars, but you take $98 biwkly out of my husbands check. I will never use AFLAC every again and will tell everyone I know to not use them either

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11788348, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I still have not heard from Aflac. Their previous messages through Revdex.com advised I would be contacted and I have not been. I have been charged yet again for the bi-monthly premium. I am now going to go through the attorney general since my policy is still active and I am still being charged.

complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]I want immediate contact from the company about my claim. All I have heard for the last 8+ months is that "someone will contact me." No one ever contacts me. I have never received a call from Aflac or any of its representatives. The only time I have ever spoken to a representative was if I called them and the only result that would come from my phone calls was "someone will contact you," "a supervisor will contact you soon," "an auditor is looking over your claim now and will call you in a few days" with no calls to follow. This is not acceptable and not the way to run a reputable business. I want to be contacted by someone in the company that knows what is happening with my claim by the end of Thursday November 3, 2016 (three full business days).

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I am not satisfied with this "resolution" as there has been no resolution whatsoever. This response from the business was received 5 days ago and to date I have not been contacted meaning there has been no attempt at resolving the issue. This is unacceptable as I am merely requesting that I be reimbursed for the money that has essentially been stolen from my paycheck all while the aforementioned AFLAC representative smiles and promises to fix the issue.

Paige Kelly

I wouldn't recommend AFLAC to anyone. I started a Critical Illness policy for my wife and self, through a job I last worked at approximately 4 years ago. The payments have always been withdrawn from my checking account the first week of every month. My new job which I have only been an "employee" of for a year, after nearly a year of temp, cut out pretty much all overtime the start of March (I was averaging 50-55 hrs week), so I in turn had to cut out all "unnecessary" bills. I called AFLAC the end of February to cancel my policy, payment still withdrawn from my checking acct Mar 4.... called and spoke to AFLAC numerous times, even being told that they would "expidite" in 72 hours on 2 occasions and call me back, never happened, after approx a month and 6 calls later learned that a 3rd party (PAYLOGIX) was the entity withdrawing the $ from my account and they may take 30 days to pay AFLAC, so if a payment was taken out first week of month, AFLAC wouldn't even see payment till first week of the next month....so here it is almost the end of April, 2 payments (which I can't afford) have already been withdrawn after policy cancelled and most likely a 3rd will be withdrawn the first week of May... How does a company like this remain in business, when they can't even communicate between associated companies, let alone customers....2 months now issues still not resolved :0(
