Review: Went in on 3/06 to trade in my current vehicle for a 2012 Chrysler 200. When I drove the vehicle the next morning experienced dash lights going on and a hissing sound in the dash board. Toke the vehicle back to explain what was going on. Car was kept for repairs not even 24 hours after I got the car. Recieved a rental. Went bak the next day and the acr is still not fixed, lights are currently on in the dash board. I feel I am being given the run around. I have asked to speak with the owner of Ron Baker Chevy and have been told, He's on lunch or he left for the day. I feel this is unfair to treat a consumer this way. Being given a certified pre-owned vehicle with mechanical problems.Desired Settlement: I wish to just cancel out the original contract due to the Lemon law factors here in California, revolving this situation. I have let them try to repair the vehicle after only 12 hours of owning the vehicle. The repairs are not fixed and I have not had the car for more then one day period of time.

Review: I purchased a 2007 Chevy Tahoe from this company in August 31, 2012. I was informed by the sales personnel and the company that the vehicle I was purchasing was the "LT" version and it was sold to me at approximately $27,000. Recently, my check engine light came on and it was discovered that the "throttle body was binding". The dost to fix my car and get it running properly was $2,600. I am the mom of 2 small children and could not afford the repairs. Therefore, I opted to trade the vehicle in. I informed multiple dealerships that my car was an LT since I was told that at the point of sale and both sides of the vehicle have the LT emblem. However, as I was in the process of getting a new vehicle, the sales person ran the VIN on my car and found out that it is actually an LS, and that I would not be able to trade it in. Now, I am stuck with a vehicle that I am not able to trade in, is still broken because I can't afford to fix it, and I am still making the $510 monthly payments. It is very difficult to transport my two children around and get to work without my vehicle. Also, when I took it in for repairs, I was not given a courtesy vehicle because the issue was not covered under the $1500 service warranty that was sold to me.Desired Settlement: I simply need a reliable vehicle to get back and forth to work and be able to transport my children to where they need to go. This situation has caused me a great deal of stress and I simply want a solution.

I have received complaint#[redacted] and belowe is our response.
The vehicle that the customer purchased on August 31, 2012 is indeed a Chevrolet Tahoe LT. I have attached a printout from GM that shows the vehicle build and it clearly states a Tahoe LT1.
It is appearant that ther dealership that the customer inquired about another car was mistaklen on the trim level of this Tahoe.
I ahve review the service department file on the necessary repairs for this vehicle also. Many of the items that are needed are maintencance items that need replacement. We advised the customer that the repiars for the throttle body are approxiamtely $550. Other items that need to be repaired or replace include but are not limited to, tires, brake pads, spark plugs, spark plug wire set, wiper blades, cooling system service, transmission service and a differential service.
Also, if the customer wants to trade this vehicle in for another vehicle we can possible help her with that also.
This vehicle was purchased 23 months ago with 66,000 miles and it now has 96,000 miles.
I look forward to your response and if I can be of any help please let me know.

Review: Bought my first car from this company June of 2013, a 2009 ford escape, where I remember on the test drive the car suddenly died and was told it was probably from the gas that has been in the car for a little while. Throughout the two months of owning the car it sometimes would die whenever coming to complete stop whether at stop signs or lights. I did the oil change to see if that would make a difference and it seemed to get worse for it died four times at a single stop light one day coming home. Doing my research and examining the car it turned out the throttle body and transmission where dying. I brought the car back wondering why this wasn't all resolved when their mechanics "apparently" did a full examination before I drove off the first day. Since I owned the car for more then thirty days the best they could do was trade it in which I decided to do for a 2011 Kia Sorento, the car was a little more than the Escape but worth it to me. I gave the dealership two checks $500.00 each to be processed within the next month that was the payment plan. I've now had this car for almost two weeks, and the dealership calls me just yesterday (September 16, 2013) saying I needed to come in to fill out more paper work. The next day (17th) I come in being told the bank will not approve me for a loan, that I either need to have a co-signer or put another $1000.00 down within the next thirty days.
I know about a year ago forbes.com did an investigation on dealership scams and illegal acts. The one I am being brought into is the "Spot Delivery Scam" or "yoyo financing" I brought this up to the financing advisor when I went in earlier today and he shot back saying California is one of the three states in the Country where they are allowed to send you off without your credit being completely approved. I don't buy it and thought I would start with a complaint to Revdex.com to get a full answer to see if this dealership is in fact illegally scamming me and my family, or if this law does as he says "not apply in the state of California."Desired Settlement: Answer if this is an illegal scam and what my options are.

Mr [redacted] purchase a car from us on Sept 06 2013. We were unable to secure financing for him as originally written. W do have an approval from a lender. The approval requires more down payment and at a higher interest rate. We sent the customer a 10 day letter as required. He stated he is going to go to Navy Federal Credit Union and see if they will do the loan for him. We will have to unwind the vehicle if he is unable to secure his own financing.
As for ther transmission problem or fuel problem he is having with his Ford Escape, I am willing to look at it and see if I can help him in any way get it repaired.
They charged me exorbitant 35% restocking fees for an item I purchased when I returned it after 10 days. They did not notify me when I first bought it that they charged restocking fee.
I have another issue with them, when I first brought in my car for recall service, they asked if I would like to do diagnostic for $40 so I agreed but they charged my credit card for $60
and when I complained I was told that it how much they charged. I would have not done
it if that was the fee they told me.
Review: Took a 2010 silvarado p/up with 129,000 miles with an oil pressure and engine light problem. Tech called and said they put trk on computer and that it needed an oil pump and would cost 2200.00 and it would take a week. I negotiated price to $1700.00. Week went by called [redacted] my tect and he said it would take another week that his "master mechanic" that was the only one that could do this complicated job was too busy. I called another shop Tire World about a mile away and [redacted] the owner said he could get it done next day. I called [redacted]r and told him I was taking truck somewhere else. He appoligized and didn't charge for new wiper blades. [redacted] called that after noon and said he didn't know why [redacted] would say it was an oil pump all it needed was a sensor. Trk was fixed next day sensor, labor, and oil change came to $ 300.00 Called [redacted] at [redacted] and told him that they were a bunch of thieves and the only thing that saved me from getting ripped off was their inability to get truck out. [redacted] responded that he didn't bill me for the wipers. Please warn other people about these thieves.Desired Settlement: investigate these thieves, don't let them rip off others who won't be as lucky as me.

We at Ron [redacted] Chevrolet stand by our diagnosis. When the customers vehicles fails again for the same reason he will realize we were right.
Review: When I purchased the vehicle I was told I was going to have 0% APR. Several days after I was called in to sign a new contract because the APR was going to be 1%. To make up for that 1% I was offered $1000.00 off the original price. I sing the second contract knowing my payment was going to be $1.00 less than the original payment. When I got my [redacted] I noticed my payment had increase. I checked my contract and notice there was no price change. I went back to solve the issue on 09/30/2014. I was suppose to get a call the following day when the original contract was reviewed to make sure it was a misunderstanding. I never received such call. It is now 10/07/2014 and still no call. I trusted them when I sign the second contract and was taken advantage of. I want to clarify that this is because I don't have the original contract to compare it to the new one because it was taken to be destroyed. Because of this it makes me think there is in fact a mistake.Desired Settlement: I would like for them to adjust the price for the amount I was told, which is $1000.00 if in fact there was not a price change due to a human mistake which is possible. I am not asking for anything that I wasn't promised.

Response:
I am in receipt of the complaint. I have investigated this matter and it looks as though one of my finance team members typed the contract with the incorrect price.
If the customer would call ###-###-#### and ask for [redacted], the Finance Director, he will be taken care of and the contract retyped with the correct price.
Thank you and we are sorry for the lack of response on our part.
