THESE ARE A BUNCH OF CLOWNS AND CHARLATONS. THEY ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED. THESE I
S ROBBED ME BLIND, AS IT WAS MY FIRST TIME GETTING MY ROOF DONE. THEY INITIALLY TOLD ME THAT IT WOULD COST ME $2,300 TO DO MY ROOF. WHEN THEY BEGAN TO BREAK THE ROOF DOWN THEY SAW A FEW ADDITIONAL PIECES OF WOOD UNDER THE SURFACE, THEY LIED AND SAID THERE WAS AN ENTIRE DECK UNDER THERE AND CHARGED ME AN ADDITIONAL $1,800. NOT ONLY THAT, THEY CHARGED ME FOR NEW WOOD AND REUSED 80% OF THE WOOD THAT WAS ALREADY UP THERE. WHEN I REFUSED TO PAY THE ADDITIONAL $1,800 ; THEY LEFT FIVE OPEN SEAMS ALONG MY FIREWAL UNSEALED. I HAD TO GET ANOTHER ROOFER TO COME AND SEAL UP THOSE OPEN SEAMS
We installed a white modified rubber roof over an existing aluminum silver coated roof. The strips that the customer is talking about is the water proof sealant for the new roof.
The roof did leak during the hose test only after the siding and windows were wet which is the reason for hosing down the front , to determine if in fact the leak Is coming from the siding, which is the case as proved by the hose test
Respectfully,

We spoke with the customer and we are reimbursing him $25 for the dust

[redacted].[redacted] called about a leak at the skylight and porch. we did go out and sealed both porch an skylight ,we explained to [redacted].[redacted] the siding above the porch was the cause of the porch leak.
[redacted].[redacted] called back about porch still leaking , I met with customer and hosed the porch...
down with water, porch DID NOT leak, while customer and her daughter were present I then hosed down siding and that's when water came into porch area. I sealed siding and windows with silicone at no charge . [redacted]. [redacted] did not call back until 4/30/2014 after a heavy rain, but not all winter even with the extreme snow falls we experienced only reinforcing that porch itself is not leaking.

Dear Sir/Madame,
In reference to the response from our customer, as far as [redacted] is concerned, all our company does is recommend this finance company if our customers need severe repair and cannot afford to have the wok done necessary to stop the leakage and avoid further damage. Our company simply refers people in need of money, after that its up to our customer to deal with the finance company.
In our last response we explained as to why the tapered system was not installed, please refer to our answer.
As far as the heater never having a cap, all heater systems need a vent cap, our customers was missing.
Rocco & Sons never takes short cuts on any job, this was the only resolution to our customers situation of bad sheathing and lack of funds which our customer agreed to.
We would like to go out and service any leaking areas and as a courtesy install a new vent cap as this was already purchased for this job, our customer did not have the money to have it installed.
We will do this for free of charge.
Our company has been in business over 35 years and do everything within our power to keep our customers happy.
Respectfully yours,
Michael G[redacted]
P.S. - This customer has refused our service, [redacted] has always been very nice, it was when her daughter became involved she was very disrespectful and refused our services
Dear [redacted],[redacted] called our office about a leak he was having on the top main roof on October 8, 2015. He was quoted $695.00 for a silver coating to the 2nd and 3rd floor roof. We went out sealed all seams, made sure the roof was tight and silver coated his 2nd and 3rd floor roof October 15,...
2015.Our company received a call from [redacted] on December 17th, 2015 about a leak on his bay roof. We sent out a service call on December 18th, 2015 and we sealed the corner of the bay roof. We did not hear from our customer again.Upon receiving the Revdex.com complaint we sent out the service manager to take a look and meet with the customer about the leak. Our service manager informed our customer that the leak is not coming from the roof we did work on but the slate roof. [redacted] said he would call back in the Spring to have the slate roof done. Our customer told our manager that he was satisfied and would contact the Revdex.com to let them know everything was taken care ofRespectfully Yours,Mike G

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
When they did the hose test the roof DID leak. They came out to my home over 8 times if I need new siding why did they go on my roof and smear three lines on my roof and call it a new roof. They never came out and did a consultation they just did a patch job and I paid for a new roof.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: (pending inspection by an independent roofing contract that repair solutions completed did indeed address any repairs previously agreed upon and rectified any additional repairs required to address the damage incurred by a tree falling against my home.)
1. I want to assert that the water getting into my home at the same spots each time began in January 2013 prior to the many storms, less than four months after servicing was done in October 2013. At the October 2013 time the dented aluminum and anything involved with the aluminum capping was to have been repaired. That same dented aluminum existed even after the second visit to address the water that came in and did damage to the just repaired kitchen walls and ceiling. My hope is that the aluminum capping and anything related to it is fully repaired as advised by roofing contractors NOT seeking the job contract but advising me only.
2. I have serious concern that Rocco Roofing is representing that possible issues date back to when a new roof was done and the subsequent warranty having expired. If the roofing was indeed requiring additional repairs it should have been indicated at the October 2013 when the first repair was done not in response to this complaint. And, as a secondary matter, there was at least one service maintenance performed by Rocco post 2007 at which time I was advised the roof was still secure and sound. I requested work orders at the conclusion of each job but, to date, have received none.
3. [redacted], Service Manager, for Rocco Roofing did notify me in response to my complaint. He did indicate that the job provided may have been lacking since they had three accidents with their truck and weather may have factored in with their abilities to properly service the roof. What I conveyed to [redacted], to be accurate, was that water continues to seep in and that it was not clear the storms factored in with this versus service not being satisfactory and/or complete on the two previous occasions. I believe I stated I felt I was being ripped off with this particular service effort, that additional costs will now be incurred to rectify all the damage resulting from the roofing not being fully repaired. [redacted] did convey that he would survey the roof and aluminum and anything involved with the aluminum capping damage and rectify ALL problems noted.
4. I am sure it can be appreciated that since there is continued problem and the response from Rocco is to possibly suggest my lack of maintaining the roof contributes to what is happening right now is unacceptable.
5. What guarantee(s) and/or solutions will be provided via Rocco Roofing should additional problems arise so as not to get into a contentious situation? My initial request of returning funds was what I wanted to receive because I do have a significant concern with whether Rocco is representing this specific service effort accurately. I wanted another roofing contractor to manage repairs because I am very worried that the service relationship between Rocco and I may be difficult and damaged which in turn could impact the level of solution available now and moving forward pertaining to my roof and any surrounding issues that resulted form the tree falling on the back of my residence.
6. I want completed work orders provided to me so I can keep a record of action taken moving forward.
Again, I do acknowledge that [redacted] did reach out to me in an expeditious manner. He did identify barriers to being able to adequately complete repairs on previous visits. I do hope that thre will be a complete solution reached after the survey is completed today. I have learned from this particular contract experience what preventative measures I will need to incorporate with future contractors whether it be with my roof or other repairs required to maintain my home. My initial request to recover funds was because of the lack of trust with service on this particular event. Also, just to note [redacted] was interested in understanding why I did not notify them of service problems, I did clarify that I did indeed make contact and left message to discuss with their service to return my call and find a solution in early March. There was no response. But, moving forward I really want an honest, complete, and fully serviced solution that will STOP any water getting into my home. If Rocco's survey requires add on repairs, I want it done at no cost. Or, return funds so I can indeed access another roofer.
I thank you for responding to my complaint. And, I do respect and acknowledge that [redacted] did reach out quickly to discuss solutions. I do not view that it was represented accurately in Rocco's response which is why I have reservations currently.
Regards,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
In rebuttal to Rocco and Sons Construction Company I am noting that
there are consistent holes in their responses. On 3/25/2014 I was advised that
a new roof would be needed in addition to the tapered insulation system needed
to pitch the roof. I concur with Rocco and Sons, that I did not have $4200 to
pay for the job which is the amount that was quoted and agreed upon by Rocco
and Sons (see attached Work Order). I was referred to [redacted] and
agreed to use this option to pay for the services. [redacted]
approved me for a $4200 loan. I was sold additional products, which included
life insurance, an appliance warranty, and was refunded $10.20, once all fees
had been distributed. No additional monies have been given to me.
On 5/9/2014 work
began to install the new roof. Upon removing all of the old roofing materials
it was brought to my attention that I would need additional money to replace
the sheathing. I informed Rocco and Son’s that I did not have any additional
money to pay for this as it should have been included since a new roof was
being installed and a contingency budget should have been in place. I was
advised by Michael that the work would be halted until Icould get more money.
Overhearing the
conversation ny daughter [redacted] spoke to Michael and requested that he
conduct this transaction in a professional manner and that it is unprofessional
to treat customers in such a manner. It was agreed that the materials would be
purchased by Rocco and Sons and the job would be completed and a pitch would be
placed on the roof. On 9/26/2014 I Spoke with Michael to advise him that my
roof was leaking. Upon coming out to inspect the roof Michael advised me that I
would need a cap. Please note that a cap has never been on the chimney spout
and this was never an issue. I asked why this was brought to her attention
after the job was completed. After additional discussions took place, my
daughter [redacted] requested that they come out to place the cap on the
roof and she would pay for it. On 10/24/2014 when representatives from Rocco
and Sons arrived, [redacted] accompanied them onto the roof and discovered that
there was a massive amount of water sitting on the roof (see attached), (as
confirmed by Rocco in their previous response) because the tapered insulation
system had not been installed and the water has no way to run off. The
representatives from Rocco and Sons agreed that the cap was not the cause. Upon
contacting the company to discuss their plan to right their wrong no response
was provided until that following week in which I was advised that they are
still thinking about how to plan to fix this matter. On 10/29/2014 a
representative from Rocco and Sons came out to the property and spoke with
[redacted]. He assured [redacted] that the materials were ordered that was needed to
install a tapered roof and he was planning to go on the roof to get the water
off. This is not a resolution to the problem. It is clear in reading Rocco’s
response that they did not follow the work order and took short cuts which has
caused extensive damage (see attached).

[redacted] called our company on March 24, 2014 to come out and give a estimate for her top roof. Our estimator Michael G[redacted] went out the next day to inspect the roof on March 25, 2014, it was found the roof was in poor condition, a new roof was needed as well as a tapered insulation system in...
order to pitch her roof properly. The customer said she did not have the funds to do the work needed, we referred her to [redacted] as an option. [redacted] called our company on April 18, 2014 and informed us she was ready to begin the work Our crew went out on May 9, 2014 to start the work, when roofing material was removed to install tapered insulation system all sheathing was in need of replacement. Customer was made aware of condition of sheathing and told it would be additional cost at which point customer said she was not able to afford it. Roofing was already removed, the sheathing was rotted from water damage, customer was told the sheathing was necessary to redeck the entire roof with 5/8" plywood and install the modified rubber roof as per contract. As this was the only option to get the premises water tight. Customer said she was not able to afford to do that even though she received $ 5035.19 from [redacted] which we only received the two checks that were made out to our customer and us totaling $ 4200.00. In order for us to work with her we did the sheathing and pitched the roof as best of our ability.Customer called about roof leaking on 9/26/2014 and I went out to inspect the leak and found all roofing was completed as per contract upon inspection. It was found that a cap was missing from vent stack ( see picture ) that is causing a leak into the property and in fact is ponding water on the roof. My crew went out on 10/24/2014 to install the new vent, it was then the customers daughter went up on the roof and saw the water was ponding due to the fact that the customer could not afford to install a tapered insulation system which caused the ponding , which in turn she cancelled the $ 125.00 having the stack cap installed. On 10/28/2014 customer called and we set a date to meet on 10/29/2014 and was met by the daughter of the home owner and assured her whatever needed to be done to fix her problem would be done. She refused to let me acces the problem and rectify it. She told me she hired a lawyer and just continued to say negative comments about our company as well as calling me a fraud and a racist. As for the loan that was made we offer it as an option to our customers and in no way encourage anyone in their financial decisions, As for the amount of $ 7000.00 that she claims , all we received was the $ 4200.00 for the roofing work
Respectfully,
Michael G[redacted]

Review: In July 2013, a tree fell on the rear of my residence. This caused water damage internally at the rear corner of the kitchen and the rear closet of the back bedroom. I notified Rocco Roofing who came out October 2013 to do roofing and other repairs to address the water leakage into my residence. The repairs were to include rear roofing materials repair, replacement of the capping at the rear of the roof and additional roofing or other repairs to damages incurred by the tree. They required payment up front of $940. I waited a short period in an attempt to be sure no further water was coming in my home.On 12/16/13, I had plaster repair and painting completed in the kitchen. In January 2014, I had water come into the residence causing the newly completed kitchen to incur water damage again. I notified Rocco who came out and threw some tar down and did a rather messy caulking around the box at the top of the roof.I had an indepdent contractor come and inspect the new water damage incurred after Rocco had completed all repairs. I also notified my insurance on 1/16/13 who handled my initial claim in July to re-inspect. They sent a contractor to re-inspect which was completed in February 2014. I was informed that the capping around the rear roof was not repaired at all as originally agreed upon. That a third layer of roofing materials was placed which is against code and could cause undue weight to the rear of the residence. That the tar and caulking was not a sufficient solution to a job that was just completed in October 2013. That repairs done in October 2013 should have alleviated all incoming water problems. I now must have the rear roof done again and to code. I must have the capping repaired since it was not repaired at all as agreed upon. It will cause additional costs including having the kitchen plaster repair and painting done again.I notified Rocco Roofing to discuss my concerns in March 2013 and have not received a call back.I have photo(s) but having trouble downloading.Desired Settlement: Rocco Roofing did not adequately do repairs to correct the problems of water coming into my residence. They did not complete the full job required which included replacement of the rear roof capping to prevent leakage. Their second attempt to correct the problems was inadequate and consisted of a sloppy caulking and throwing some tar around the top rear near the downspout.I want the funds of $940 returned so I can adequately address ALL repairs and re-repairs to correct the roofing problems.

RE: [redacted]
Review: I had my roof serviced in July of 2012. They came out about 8 times because I had the same problem that they originally came to fix. I called and called and a few times they never showed up. They place me on hold and never answer the phone so I have to call repeadly in order to speak to someone. My roof is still consistently leaking. We didn't have a problem when I paid my money. I paid in full and I expect the work to be completed. This is a very poor job, poor professionalism. The technician ([redacted]) smeared three lines across my roof and told my he installed a new roof.Desired Settlement: I would like my money returned so I can have the job done properly.

[redacted].[redacted] called about a leak at the skylight and porch. we did go out and sealed both porch an skylight ,we explained to [redacted].[redacted] the siding above the porch was the cause of the porch leak.
I had Rocco and Sons "do" my roof on 09/09. I requested before and after pictures and the guy in charge of the jobs said he would send them to me. It is now 09/14. I have contacted them seven times and each time I was told I would get the pictures. I paid them $1,600.00 and they were on my roof for 20 minutes? Apparently they were to have given/explained to me the right of recession and I only found out that after doing some research. They have not provided me with proof that they even did anything to my roof and I am furious that they would keep telling me they are sending me the pictures or calling me back. To protect my rights I am taking the notice of cancellation to them as today is business day 3. Maybe this will get their attention! I want my before and after pictures for my homeowners insurance which was in an email I sent them on 09/10/15.
Review: The incident in question occurred on Monday August 26, 2013. Rocco & Son was hired to put a new roof on the property next to mine. My house is currently undergoing renovations. While on the roof making repairs, it was observed that employees from Rocco & Son removed the slag from the roof they were working on and threw it on mine. In addition, pieces of roofing materials that were cut were thrown on my roof as well as the neighbors roof (one additional house to the left).
I reached out to the office secretary (a very pleasant and understanding person) to file a complaint onTuesday August 27, 2013 and was advised someone would be out on Wednesday August 28, 2013 to take care of this issue. No one called, or came out as advised. I then called back on Thursday August 29, 2013 and spoke to the secretary again. This time she transferred me to [redacted] (who I am assuming is the roofer foreman/estimator for the company). When I spoke to [redacted] I advised him that my roofers will be back on Saturday to put the roof onto my property. [redacted] then advised me the earliest that he would get there to see what I was speaking about was Friday, August 30, 2013 at 12-noon. He finally arrived at 3:30pm. He did not apologize for the late arrival and on top of that I had to call the office (once again) to obtain an estimated time of arrival. Once [redacted] came, he did not express any empathy or concern regarding my issues. He in fact was extrememly arrogant and a little rude. He went on the roof to confirm my issues, came back down, and stated, “yeah we do have debris and slag up there but we won’t come back to remove that until Tuesday September 3,2013 but if I needed it removed before then for my roofer to perform the work need on my roof, I could have them throw it back on my neighbors roof and they would be out on Tuesday September 3, 2013to clean the slag off of his roof.
I advised [redacted] that I would not put the slag and roofing debris back on my neighbors roof because Rocco & Son were paid to apply the roof and romove all debris from the services that were performed. In addition, I was not and could be sure that they would be responsible enough to come back and remove what they originally left behind. And again, since my roofers would be out Saturday, I did not want them to pick up the slack for [redacted] and his crew. He then said Tuesday is the earliest that they will be back to clean it up. I informed [redacted] that I will just have my roofer clean their mess and will have them bill Rocco & Son for correcting something that he could of took care of himself when he was up there to check.
I have pictures before Rocco & Son peform the work that shows the state of the roofs and pictures after they finish the work.Desired Settlement: To be reimbursed for the work my roofers had to perform removing the slag and debris off of the roof. If this complaint is not addressed, further options will be explored such as the District Office being notified and small claims court.

Response:
In answer to this complaint our company does not except responsibility for debris on **. [redacted]'s roof although we do understand his concerns. As you can see in the pictures the debris is not disturbed and has grass growing out of it.
In order to keep peace and avoid confrontation, our company sent a crew out (/$/2013 to remove some slad stone and debris.
We would like to report our customer and **. [redacted] are happy with the crew and service.
Rocco & Sons has been in business thirty years, taking pride in our work and service with repeat customers and recommendations.
Respectfully yours,
