Rhino Roofing personnel went above and beyond to take excellent care of us. They were very patient and explained everything as well as answered every question we had in terms we could understand. As you know every company has to make money. These guys did not try to drain us dry. They did an excellent job putting a new roof on. They cleaned up afterwards. These folks are very friendly and know their jobs very well. The owner is a very professional man and is very much on top of things. He wants every customer to be completely satisfied. This man even came to our home to inspect the work and see that we were well taken care of. This company is all about quality, customer care and excellence in every way from the lowest man to the owner. We got quotes from 7 other companies but they did not beat Rhino Roofing. As we requested, they also gave us pictures of before and after the work. They did not bat an eye at this request. You cannot go wrong with them.

Stellar Company. Darrell M came out to inspect and evaluate our roof and he was so professional and courteous. His crew came and replaced the shingles and updated other parts. They were fast and clean. I was amazed at the efficiency they displayed. The job was completed earlier than expected, and I was very pleased with the results. Great job, great staff, and great company. Would definitely recommend Rhino Roofing to anyone needing roof repairs or upgrades.

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback. We appreciate your business and will continue to strive for great customer service!

In my opinion this is an excellent , professional, caring roofing company ! As a new home owner they calmed all of my new home owner nerves when I had them replace my roof due to a recent storm that caused hail damage to my roof. I had Darrell Maclean meet with me. Every step of the way from working with my insurances to working with me and my concerns with my 90 year old mother who lives with me , Darrell made sure all my needs were met. My roof crew was Omar's crew! Amazing HARD working, caring crew! I miss them! I quickly realized this locally owned company was filled with serious, professionals. The owner, Dave G absolutely understands his biggest asset in his company is his employees and it shows. They did not stop until every thing met their high standards! I am a retired teacher and have no trouble assigning an A+ to Rhino Roofing! Highly recommend!!

Thank you so much Ann! It has been such a pleasure working with you. We love to hear your feedback and appreciate all the kind words.

Rhino Roofing did an exemplary job of re roofing my 50 sq. roof with 40 year shingles.
Mark, the salesman, meet the insurance adjuster and went over all the damage caused by a recent hail storm. With his assistance, I was awarded a new roof and rain gutters, less the deductible. Rhino Roofing arrived when they said they would, performed all the work in two days and cleaned up the work areas around the house. I would recommend them for any roof repair or replacement.

One of rhino roofs workers hit my parked car outside there job and did not leave a note or contact me (hit and run) they where the only white cars in the whole neighborhood and they left a big dent and white paint on my car. I attempted to contact the company and got ahold of a few people who have not done anything to address this problem and they do not have phone numbers available for the owner or someone of that calibur to address this with. I would not trust this company if this is the caliber of there employees. The whole neighborhood who is scheduled to use rhino roofing is now aware of this incident and is not happy.

Hello, the gentleman from across the street found me today to tell me he has found his tools and was mistaken about the tool theft. Please remove the line "also on a side note after talking to the gentleman who's home was worked on he told me they also stole some tools from him." I do not want anything false in my complaint so I wish to correct this please.Very Respectfully

We are terribly sorry for the accident and how it was handled. We have reached out to *** and we are taking care of him so he is completely satisfied. We are also addressing the issue with the office and the roofers so this does not happen again. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

I called rhino roofing requesting a quote April 30th . I'd also contacted two other roofing contractors for their quote too.
Gino from rhino came to my home that afternoon checked roof came in and called my insurance company without my permission. Since he initiated call I let insurance know I was waiting on other roofers quotes too and she said that's fine its your choice. Gino insisted I sign off on BLANK form with no breakdown of work and materials (which I didn't want to sign). Received other roofing quotes then I called Gino May 4th asking for his quote he said would bring by Wednesday May 9th. Still waiting for his quote and he's never called back. Contacted Revdex.com and after reading reviews will not do any business since I feel a scam coming on. I have let neighbors and friends know of this negative experience with rhino roofing. They will receive the poorest rating from this consumer.

Clara,

I am very sorry to hear about your experience. Rhino Roofing is always looking for ways to become a better company and your input is appreciated. Going through our records, we have a complete contract with all of the information filled out with your signature and initials. If you could please bring in your copy so we can get to the bottom of this because we are concerned. Rhino Roofing is very busy this time of year which causes a backlog. However, we are adding new estimators to expedite this process. We apologize we could not get you an estimate in a timely manner. If we could have the opportunity to get you an estimate please contact us so we can get you one right away. I am sorry for the frustration this has caused and we are always striving to improve our business, communication with customers, and our procedures.

I recently had my roof replaced by Rhino Roofing...unfortunately an air conditioning line was punctured and the cost was going to be around 2400. David G the owner made it right and his office manager Daryl M delivered a check for the full amount tonight. This company has integrity and good Christian values, I would highly recommend them... they did the right thing!

Than you so much for your kind words Danny and Pam. We appreciate you choosing Rhino Roofing to do you roof!

I hired Rhino Roofing to that included but not limited to replacing shingles on 3 sheds and my home.

Upon my personal inspection I found jugged edges, exposed nails (called Shiners) and damage to my swamp cooler vent. To get to the shingles underneath, the Swamp cooler and its pedestal needed to be Detached and reset. The roofing crew reset the swamp cooler pedestal too far away from the duct. The roofing crew tried to force-attach the cooler to the duct, thereby ripping the seams and causing openings for air to escape. Upon inspection, this damage was apparent and totally unacceptable. I’m going to have to replace it. Therefore, I reported the shiners, the crooked edges and vent damages to Rhino Roofing.

Rhino Roofing sent a couple of roofers back to address my complaints. I see where they trimmed the edges somewhat straighter and they covered the exposed nails with silicon which was unacceptable. I complained about this and roofers were sent with an order to replace the shingles in the field where shiners are exposed. I cannot find where they replaced any shingles. Instead I found where they took bits and pieces of shingles, tucked some of them under other shingles and glued them over where possibly shiners may or may not have been removed. Now some shingles can be gently lifted to expose the underneath. In one spot they just glued the piece on top of a shingle without tucking it. During this inspection Pattern breaks are apparent, which are observed as thin cuts and seams. Also some nails are currently pushing up under the shingles with one that broke through a shingle. This will probably continue to occur and is a progressive problem. I reported this to Rhino Roofing and have yet to hear back from them as to what they will do to rectify this.

Rhino Roofing also sent an HVAC tech to remedy the cooler and vent issues. The HVAC tech did mend the vent seams and close the openings as best he could. Although the HVAC tech moved the pedestal up, it was not centered and is now off set. Now the duct looks unsightly and bent out of shape, full of screws and is certainly not in the condition that it was originally in. It appears that I will have to replace the vent and uninstall the pedestal, center it, and then reattach it myself or hire someone to do this. I should not have to bear the expense this will incur if I hire someone else to correct the bad workmanship, nor should I have to do the job myself.

The roofers had pushed the vent pipe down and sealed it on the roof. This caused the pipe to slide off the top of the water heater. The supervisor did offer to fix this right away but in the chaos of viewing various repairs, it did not get done. The supervisor called me and asked if I wanted him to come back out to fix it. I subsequently decided to take care of this problem myself. (just an FYI)

My pipe jack flashing was to be removed and replaced. I have rubber ones not replaced. I thought I would get metal ones.

I had existing water damage to the decking of 2 sheds and told Rhino Roofing I wanted to repair this myself before they started to shingle the shed roofs. Rhino's salesman offered to have this done by their roofers, and said they would only charge me for the decking. However, Rhino did not replace the damaged decking before shingling over it. I was told the decking did not get replaced before shingling occurred due to a "communication error". Since this was a verbal agreement between me and the Rhino Roofing salesman, I believe it is now my problem to resolve--lesson learned. (Just an FYI)

Rhino did not perform any expected after-work inspections on their own. Therefore, I performed these inspections myself. I had another roofer come to inspect my roof and he agreed that these were issues my roofer (Rhino) should correct. He also pointed out that on the south side of my roof the shingles curl up due to the drip edge being installed incorrectly.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

It's not every thing I think I should get... but it should take care of 2 big issues and I am tired of dealing with these people. December 2nd I have to find and mark all the shingles that need to be removed and replaced. December 8th they are to come out and replace shingles and my swamp cooler duct. I have to deal with the rest. Not happy but I'll consider myself lucky to get done what they offered. (I'm not going to let them remove and set my swamp cooler since I want it done right.)

It isn't over yet.

Thank you Revdex.com!!

Last November, 2016 Rhino Roofing installed new shingle roofing and was paid my Home Mortgage Insurance $11, 563.51 and I personally paid the $1000.00 deductible. They had to remove the master cold unit and replace it back. However the Controls in my home to turn on and off the unit did not turn the unit on or off. Rhino Roofing said when I called, that if the unit worked before the work then they would correct the problem. They did send someone out but he did not determine the problem. Rhine Roofing then sent an electrician to determine the problem. He did not. When I called back Rhino Roofing, they said they did all they could. Since then, I had to run an extension cord from unit to an out side plug to turn on and off the unit. There is also one section of plugs inside my home that do not work; fans and lights that do not work; microwave has not worked; etc. I run extension cords to my TV set and another to a portable air unit that I purchased during this hot summer months. I have had roof inspected by 2 electricians and they have said I need a roofer to lift shingles to find out where Rhino connected the unit to; because Rhino did not connect it to the air unit controls inside. I have pictures of other problems with roof that a independent roofer has identified need fixing that I would be happy to share with you. This has been an ongoing problem for me for months with no resolution to date. Please advise. Thank you so very much.

When reading tips on the Revdex.com website (Revdex.com Tip On: “Storm Chasers” After a Natural Disaster) there are several noted red flags for any business soliciting door to door after a severe weather incident.
Rhino Roofing came to my residence shortly after a damaging hail storm. Here are the red flags they presented:
1- "High-pressure sales. Some storm chasers use tactics such as the “good deal” you’ll get only if you hire the contractor on the spot." Rhino Roofing asked to schedule an inspection when they knocked on my door. They noted that they were doing several roofs in the area and could offer a "good deal" on replacement of our roof. The other questionable tactic was to be asked to sign to have the Rhino Roofing sales representative meet with the insurance adjuster. What they actually were trying to get me to sign was a agreement obligating me to use Rhino Roofing for any repair or replacement and to turn over any and all insurance payments to the company as well as pay my deductible. This was pressuring me to lock in my business with them to the exclusion of any other contractor before they provided an estimate, or even having the insurance adjuster inspect the property.

2-"Get at least three estimates. Get quotes in writing, don’t accept estimates over the phone, and be wary of very low estimates, which could set up a “bait and switch” tactic." Rhino Roofing refuses to provide a written estimate. Instead they state that they will just do the roof and my only cost will be my deductible. I have found an $8000 variance in the estimates I have already gotten. Refusal to provide a formal estimate makes it impossible to compare pricing with other reputable roofing contractors.

Rhino Roofing Response

Dear Ms.

I regret that you have had complications with getting an estimate from our company. I can understand your frustration because I have read your complaint several times. I am very sorry it has lead you, Ms. to believe we here at Rhino Roofing are a “Storm Chaser.” We appreciate you taking the time to make this complaint. Sadly, that is what it takes for a company to get better and make corrections, so thank you again and please accept our dearest apologies. If you would still like to give Rhino Roofing the opportunity to give you an estimate, we will make sure to get that for you. If you could let us know what time would be good for us to come by so we can get some additional information for your roof.

Thank you and again our deepest apologies.
