Thank
you for notifying us of Customer G’s experience with our service. We
appreciate the opportunity to research and comment on what occurred with
Customer G’s account.
class="MsoNormal">As
Customer G states, an account was registered for our service on 7/10/15 with an
agreement to be billed for a 7 day trial membership and a monthly membership
fee each month thereafter until the account is canceled. The Terms of Use
and Pricing Information are clearly displayed on our registration page, and we
require each member to check a box stating they have read and agree to the
terms of use and pricing information, prior to registering the account.
We do
not show any further correspondence from Customer G until we received the
information the Revdex.com provided to us on 8/7/15. Our Customer Service
Supervisor contacted Customer G on 8/7/15 to discuss the concerns. During
that phone conversation we granted Customer G a full refund. Customer G
stated he was completely satisfied with the resolution and was appreciative
that our customer service supervisor reached out to him directly.
Thank you for notifying us of Customer W’s experience. We appreciate the opportunity to research and respond to what has occurred with...
Customer W’s account.
Our business operates a website which contains a nation-wide database with the largest selection of distressed properties including MLS, FSBO and properties that are available with a lease option, rent to own, and/or owner financing. Our website is updated several times a week providing our customers with the most recent and up to date property listings.
According to our records, Customer W registered for an account on 6/12/16. We do not show any correspondence from Customer W until she called our customer service department on 7/5/16 and cancelled the account on her own, using the automated phone system without speaking with a live representative. Upon receiving notice of Customer W’s concern, our customer service manager contacted Customer W directly to explain our service and discuss her concern, however we were not able to reach her. We provided Customer W a full refund, and left a voice message for Customer W, encouraging her to contact us if she has any further questions or concerns. Because a full refund has been provided, we are confident that Customer W’s concern has been completely resolved.
Thank you for notifying us of Mr. D’s concern about his home appearing on our website. We have looked into the situation and confirmed that the listing data for Mr. D’s home was received and classified on our site appropriately as For Sale By Owner, however, per Mr....
D’s request, it has been removed from our website and database. For additional context, please review the following details.
Please know that our website displays a very wide variety of property listings, including For Sale By Owner, Resale MLS, REO Bank Owned, For Auction, Lease Option-Rent To Own, and more. We obtain property information and listings data through sourcing agreements with many national and regional real estate data services. Mr. D’s home listing was provided with other For Sale By Owner properties and was presented as ‘For Sale By Owner’ on our website.
Our website draws attention to a mortgage alternative financing program, and we encourage qualified home buyers to apply for this third party financing with no obligation. To help both home buyers and home sellers realize their goals, our company has established a partnership with one of the largest providers of mortgage alternative financing in the country. We introduce prospective home buyers to these financial services and encourage more home sales as a result. Home sellers and listing agents have provided us with strong positive feedback about the availability of alternative financing. Providing this option greatly expands the number of potential buyers for a given listing, provides a path to close sales more quickly and supports strong selling prices. While we help promote the availability of this alternative, we do not suggest home sellers would offer this financing directly. We are sorry if Mr. D was uncomfortable with his home being displayed to home buyers viewing our website, however, his home was listed explicitly as ‘For Sale By Owner’.
On 6/30/2014, Mr. D called our Customer Service department to request his home listing be removed from our website. We explained how we obtain and display listings on our website, and we processed his request to remove the listing promptly. The listing was confirmed removed by the evening of 6/30/2014. To clarify, we allow visitors to our website to view listings for a 7-day trial period, before being charged a monthly fee to maintain access to our listings database. Our website members may elect to continue to discontinue access at any time with no obligation or further charges.
Upon receiving this Revdex.com complaint, we contacted Mr. D on 7/01/2014 to re-confirm the listing removal and resolution of the complaint. Thank you.
I originally had a misunderstanding with this company regarding the cancellation of my services. However, after filing a complaint they have not only compensated me for the money deducted but added a gesture to apologize by giving me a gift card. I now see them in a different light.
Thank
you for notifying us of Mr. S’s comments regarding our service. We
appreciate the opportunity to investigate the situation, and respond to Mr....
S’s
concern.
We
contacted Mr. S to inquire specifically about the property information he is
referring to in his comments. We learned that he was referring to 2
specific properties that seemed to be erroneously listed. We appreciate
the information Mr. S provided so we could conduct an internal investigate
regarding this information.
Upon
our investigation, we found that both of these properties were originally
listed by A[redacted] as properties for sale by owner. Apparently he
neglected to remove these listing once the homes were no longer
available, as they are still listed as active properties for sale on many
websites.
Please
know that we make our best efforts to achieve 100% accuracy in the data we
provide to our customers. We aggregate data from multiple sources
nationwide and are constantly adding and deleting properties from our database
to ensure accuracy. We appreciate the information provided to us by Mr.
S, as we immediately removed these properties from our database, and in turn
notified our sources they should do the same.
We
sincerely apologize that when Mr. S contacted our customer service department
that he was not able to speak with a representative due to extensive hold
times. We take customer service very seriously and are addressing our
staffing needs to ensure all of our customers can speak with a representative
in a timely manner.
Our
customer service manager contacted Mr. S via email confirming the listings in
question have been removed from our website. We believe we have
completely addressed Mr. S’s concerns and would consider this matter closed.
I had a monthly membership and tried to cancel and they were happy to help me, but was offered a "State Search" rather than a "Nationwide" search and they were able to help me downgrade my membership to less $5 a month. SO FAR, for the past year I have had no issues, but I'm still early in the game.
Review: I signed up for a free trial membership for $1 for 7 days. I did not sign an X stating that I understood that my credit card account would be charged $49.60 per month. It is automatically on the website, and one HAS TO UNCHECK IT. If you do not check it, then they will not charge your account. This was on June 1. NO RECEIPT TO MY EMAIL FOR THIS PURCHASE AS THE MERCHANT CLAIMED. There were charges on my June, July and August statements of $49.60 each. I called the merchant and he advised me that I had to call and cancel the membership. What a fraud of business, and I am surprised that the Revdex.com certification and logo is displayed on this website. I cancelled with the merchant after billing of 3 times on my credit card. When I spoke with the merchant over the telelphone on August 13th, he told me that I had received an email RECEIPT OF MY MEMBERSHIP. He gave me my email address and I had checked ALL my email accounts including junk and trash and found nothing. He was not truthful and when I checked this Revdex.com site against RENTBEFOREOWNING, there are 75 percent negative reviews and several complaints. NO NOT LEND your endorsement to this fraudulent website.Desired Settlement: I would like a reverse of my June, July and August charges on my credit card of $49.60 each month. I would like to see a change in the website from a tiny section about the billing practices, and I would like to see that a customer gets a receipt WHEN HE or SHE joins this membership. I would like to see that Revdex.com not have their logo on such a merchant on home page of their website.

Thank you for notifying us of Customer K’s
experience with our service. We appreciate the opportunity to research
and comment on what occurred with Customer K’s account.
As Customer K states, she registered an
account for our service on 6/1/15 and agreed to be billed for a trial
membership and a monthly membership fee each month thereafter until the account
is canceled. The Terms of Use and Pricing Information are clearly
displayed on our registration page, and we require each member to check a box
stating they have read and agree to the terms of use and pricing information,
prior to registering the account. Contrary to what Customer K states, the
box we require each member to check agreeing to the terms is NOT
pre-checked. The members MUST check the box themselves prior to
registering the account.
Upon registration, every member gets a
welcome email, confirming the account is active, and provides the membership
log on information to our site. It also includes the trial expiration
date so the member will know when to cancel if they do not wish to be billed
after the trial expires.
We see that Customer K contacted our
customer service department on 8/17/15 and spoke with a representative.
At this time the account was cancelled per the customer’s request.
A full refund has been provided to Customer
K, and on 9/28/15 our Customer Service Supervisor contacted her to confirm that
her issue has been resolved, but were unable to reach her. We consider
this matter closed, as a full refund has been provided and we are confident
that we have completely addressed Customer K’s concern.
Review: The first three listings I inquired about on this site after just being charged for a month's service we all NOT for SALE! Already sold or not on the market. What a waster of money and time to pay for a service with information that is not accurate. I have cancelled my membership online, but expect a refund of $49.60 as the service is not as expected at all. A waste of my time & money.Desired Settlement: 49.60 & no further charges

Thank
you for notifying us of Customer C’s experience with our service. We
appreciate the opportunity to research and comment on what occurred with
Customer C’s account.
Our
records indicate that on 5/19/15 Customer C registered an account for our
service. On 5/28/15 Customer C contacted our customer service department
via email. We responded to her email letting her know that we cancelled
her account and the monthly membership fee was refunded in full, per her
request.
Please
allow us to explain that our service provides a comprehensive data base of many
types of properties such as homes in foreclosure, homes for sale, or homes with
the possibility of renting prior to purchasing, etc. Our goal is to
maintain the most accurate database possible, and therefore we are constantly
adding and deleting properties from our database. It is possible that the
homes Customer C is referring to were in the process of being deleted from our
database due to their updated status.
On
6/1/15, our customer service manager attempted to contact Customer C to be sure
the issue was resolved, but was unable to reach her. We consider this
matter closed as we have addressed Customer C’s concerns, cancelled and
refunded her account, and have attempted to contact her on several occasions
since 6/1, to confirm she is satisfied with the resolution.

Review: I called in both January and February to cancel this subscription and was given confirmation codes that my subscription was cancelled. On February 27 the confirmation code was #95[redacted]90 yet I was billed again on my credit card in mid-March for $49.60 a month. This company has now been paid two months of charges against my specific instruction.Desired Settlement: Refund two months of subscription charges at $49.60 a month.

Thank
you for notifying us of Customer S’s experience with our website. We
appreciate the opportunity to research and comment on what occurred with
Customer S’s account.
Our
records indicate that on 12/7/2014 Customer S registered for an account and
agreed to be billed for a 7-day trial and each month thereafter until
the account is canceled. The offer terms, titled "Pricing
Information" are clearly displayed on our registration page, and we
require each member to check a box stating they have read and agree to the
terms of use and pricing information, prior to registering the account.
Our
system does not show any correspondence from Customer S until 2/27/15. We
have an extensive tracking system that tracks all customer correspondence
including account registration and confirmed cancellation requests. We
show that Customer S called our customer service department on 2/27/15 and cancelled the
account using our automated IVR system, without speaking to a live
representative. Customer S had been billed the monthly subscription fee,
as agreed upon when she signed up for our service. No billing took place
after she cancelled the account on 2/27/15.
On 4/20/15, our customer service supervisor emailed Customer S confirming the account was cancelled on 2/27/15, and stated that a
refund had been granted for all monthly membership fees that had been charged
to her account.
The
supervisor also called Customer S at the number listed to register the account,
but was unable to reach her. We have honored Customer S's request so we consider this matter closed.

Review: Signed up for free 7 day trial. I was not happy with the website so I cancelled my membership online well within the time limit. Once I cancelled I was immediately ejected from the site. Weeks later I was charged a fee of $49.60 for a service I was not satisfied with and cancelled in time according to their agreement. When I called they refused to give refund. This business is a complete SCAM!Desired Settlement: Full refund of monthly charge for service I did not utilize

I am rejecting this response because:
Yes, finally after filing a complaint with the Revdex.com I was given a refund. But in their statement they repeatedly called me a liar, claiming I never cancelled. I cancelled through the website and was immediately ejected from the site. To respect your customers you should never label them as being dishonest. Why is it so hard to believe that there may be an error with their website? Why issue a refund but claim that there was no wrong on the company's part? You issued a refund cause the company took money from an account where they were unauthorized.
Regards,
Complete scam. Was told initial membership would be 4.95 for 1 month. I was charged 4.95 plus a 48.50 processing fee. Did not help with my home search at all, just after your money and information. Will need to cancel my debit card.
Review: complaint type: theft this business charged my debit card, without my authorization or having requested any services. I had never heard of them, and not sure how they got the account as I rarely ever use the debit card. I have filed a dispute with the debit card company. I have had no reason to have done business with, or to have requested any services related to this company and will have my attorney file appropriate civil papers. the amount they took was a very small amount (not disclosing), that is well below what charges and fees I would normally expect from this type of business.. more of the amount size a thief hits to see if its live firstDesired Settlement: never contact me or touch my credit/debit identity again. if this complaint has been made to the Revdex.com before, this company should be closed and the owners/management stopped from doing it againresolution should be handled by appropriate venue

appreciate the opportunity to research and comment on what occurred with the
account associated to Mr. R.
On
5/17/15 an account was registered using Mr. R’ mailing address and complete
credit card information. Please note that the mailing address provided to
the Revdex.com is the same mailing address used to register the account, however the
we believe it was Mrs. R that registered the account as it is under her
name. We attempted to contact both Mr. and Mrs. R to discuss the account,
however were unable to reach them.
When
registering for our service, we offer a trial membership for a nominal
fee and a monthly membership fee would occur each month thereafter until the
account is canceled. The Terms of Use and Pricing Information are clearly
displayed on our registration page, and we require each member to check a box
stating they have read and agree to the terms of use and pricing information,
prior to registering the account.
We do
not show any correspondence from Mr. or Mrs. R regarding the account, however
our customer service supervisor refunded all fees to Mr. and Mrs. R.
We
believe we have completely resolved this issue and would consider this matter
closed.
Review: I signed up for the free 7 day trial. I cancelled the subscription online within the 7 day period. However, they still charged me the $49.60! I don't have $49 to give away for a service I didn't even use. I will be sure to let everyone know never to sign up for this "free" trial. This company needs to be shut down for scamming hard working people.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund in the amount of $49.60

I am rejecting this response because: Yes, I was aware of the cancellation within 7 days and cancelled within that 7 days via online. Therefore, I should not have been charged at all. As soon as the charge hit my card, I disputed it which was on 4/24 not 5/21. I tried talking to someone there and was rudely treated and basically laughed at. I don't wish to have any further communication with this company and just want my money back.
Review: This company has my house listed for rent to own . They charge a fee to their customers to get the location & address also in the listing they say we will finance & will accept bad credit. We are afraid of what kind of people they will be sending to our house, with my Wife and child home all day they will have to be in fear of who shows up & if they will be upset when they find out they were scammed by this Company. This company claims no responsibility for any wrong information on their listings so how can you sell something that's not true. We never had our house for rent or offered financing too people with bad credit.Desired Settlement: Want to have the house off the web site never to be posted again and I want to know if anybody paid for my information and how many people I might find at my door. If any did pay for MY information I want to know who & how much, and I want the funds paid to me or back to the people they cheated.

Thank you for notifying us of Mr. D’s concern about his home appearing on our website. We have looked into the situation and confirmed that the listing data for Mr. D’s home was received and classified on our site appropriately as For Sale By Owner, however, per Mr. D’s request, it has been removed from our website and database. We were sorry to receive this customer’s complaint but we thank you for notifying us so we could explore the situation and find a resolution that was fair for both the customer and our company. Upon receiving this complaint, we tried calling the customer at the phone number listed on the complaint, however our calls were not answered. We have complied with customer’s request, although we would have liked an opportunity to speak to customer again. Please read the following information we have found in our investigation of this customer’s account. On February 27, 2013, the customer registered for an account on our website and agreed to our stated pricing and billing policy of a $1 charge for a 7-day trial period and then a price of $49.60 every month ongoing until customer cancels the account. Please also note, when a customer registers for our website access and submits their credit card form of payment, we cannot and do not make any charges until the customer checks a box stating they have read and agree with the Terms of Use and billing schedule which we clearly state on our registration page. As the customer stated in the complaint, our company does allow customers to cancel at any time to avoid future billing, but we do not state that a late cancellation (after the 7-day period is over) would result in any refunds. If the customer decided to not use our website or service and did not wish to continue to be billed, we simply request customer to cancel the account before additional billing occurs. This is stated in the Terms of Use agreement the customer agreed with when registering for his account. We did not receive any correspondence from this customer between the date of registration (Feb 27) until April 8, 2013 when customer sent us an email requesting his account be canceled. We immediately canceled the account to halt any future billing and sent the customer an email to confirm the cancellation at the same time. Upon receiving this complaint on April 9, we attempted to call customer at the phone number listed, but our calls went unanswered. Although we maintain a no-refund policy, we wish to resolve this issue quickly to ensure customer satisfaction, and as a result, we have processed refunds of the two disputed charges of $49.60 totaling $99.20.

Thank you for notifying us of Customer W’s experience.
We appreciate the opportunity to investigate and clarify what happened with
Customer W’s account. Customer W stated that when he signed up for a membership
account to access our website, it was offered at $1.00, but he was later
charged $49.00. On 1/4/2015, Customer W registered for an account with us
via our website and agreed to our membership terms and conditions which are
clearly displayed on our registration page. We require that all
customers must agree to our terms of use which include an initial charge of $1 for
a 7-day trial and then $49.60 each month thereafter until the account is
canceled. Our billing terms of service are clearly displayed when a customer
registers for our website service, and we also require the consumer to check a
box on our registration page which states they agree with the billing
terms in addition to providing name, address, phone, email, and electronic
payment information. Immediately after
registration, a confirmation email is sent that reiterates the offer terms,
cancellation policy, and information regarding how to cancel, including our toll free number and email
address that may be used to cancel the account.
On 2/7/2015, well after the billing had occurred on 1/11/15, Customer W
cancelled his account via our website. We did not receive any
communication from Customer W prior to receiving this complaint.
Upon receiving this complaint on 2/9/15, we attempted to
contact Customer W at the number provided in the complaint to resolve this
issue. We were unable to reach Customer W over the phone, but left a
voice message requesting Customer W to call our customer service department
directly if he had any further questions. In efforts to resolve this
issue, a refund of $49.60 was processed to Customer W’s account on 2/9/15, and
we are confident this will fully resolve Customer W’s concerns.
Review: I signed up for the one week trial for $1.00. When I tried to cancel before the week was up,they said my username or password was invalid. I know my user name and tried over and over again getting the same response.I tried calling but could never get through. Then I tried online again and clicked on "forgot password".They said a new password was emailed to me.I tried this several times. Not once did I get an email from them. Now they have withdrawn $49.60 from my account.I still cant reach them. They say canceling is easy. Believe me its not!I believe I was scammed. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would like them to respond to phone calls and cancel memberships when requested to do so. I would also like my money back.

Response:
Thank you for sending us Customer O’s comments. We have investigated the history of this account and the communications sent to date. Our records show emails were sent successfully to the email address on file for this account, and that an earlier request to cancel the account was processed and a courtesy refund was issued on 4/06/2014 (prior to receiving this complaint). Our understanding is the issue was resolved.
Please consider the following information regarding this account. According to our records, Customer O registered for an account on 3/28/2014 and agreed to be billed $1 for a 7-day initial trial and to maintain the account active for $49.60 each month thereafter until the customer canceled and closed the account. A cancellation may be submitted and processed immediately at any time directly on our website, or by calling our toll-free Customer Service phone line any day of the week, or by sending us an email. We did not receive any cancellation requests until 4/06/2014 when Customer O called our customer service department and left a voice mail on our Customer Service hotline. Customer O requested account cancellation and a refund of the disputed charge. We immediately cancelled the account and emailed the requested log-on information to Customer O. Although this account was not cancelled within the trial period, we elected to process a courtesy refund per the request.
We also called Customer O later that same day at her telephone number listed on the account. We wanted to confirm the account cancellation and the courtesy refund that was processed on 4/06/2014. Our calls were not answered, however, we confirmed the cancellation and refunds were processed through our system.
Upon receiving this complaint on 4/07/14, we again attempted to contact Customer O at the phone number listed on this complaint. We wished to confirm the actions taken to date had fully resolved the customer’s concern. Our calls were again unanswered. We have re-confirmed Customer O’s account was and remains cancelled and the refund was processed on 4/06/14. Customer O should expect to see a credit to her charge card in 1 – 5 business days, depending on the processing time of her card’s issuing bank. We are confident that the requested refunds have already resolved Customer O’s concerns. Thank you for reviewing our response to this issue.
Another shady company with deceptive advertising practices. Don't waste your time filling out their info because it is 100% deceptive. I'm consumer Advocate Patrick M. [redacted]. We'll be exposing this company in one of our upcoming posts.
Looking at the review below it would appear that they have the only info about these. It would seem unlikely due to owners or sellers of these homes, want them sold. Therefore, they are paying for advertising in many places.
