Review: Mike F[redacted] doing business to me as Elite Auto Carriers, provide a quotation to me for a price on a car move. I had heard that this industry was notorious for adding on prices after the fact. I clarified with him before I placed the order that there would be no fuel surcharge, or any additional charges from the $1150 price. He assured me this would not happen. The original quote has no reference to a $200 fee in addition to locate a driver. Now I am trying to retreive my car and the cost is $1400, in addition to the $200 fee added. Mike tells me the additional fuel surcharge is listed on the COD amount on the document I signed at car pickup, which is not listed, and that the $200 fee is in the document I signed, which I never signed nor have a copy of. The total fee if I decide to pay it will be $1600, instead of the quoted $1150. $450 over the quoted amount.Desired Settlement: Billing adjustment. I would like a refund of $450 per car, as this happened on 2 cars for a total of $900.

Review: Changed shipping date without telling me and failed to ship my vehicles. Caused huge problems for my move across the country.

I hired Reliable on May [redacted] to ship two vehicles from Florida to Michigan for my move across the country. I scheduled the shipping date to be June [redacted] - on that day I heard nothing from them, as I was told the driver would contact me. I called Mike and he told me the date was changed to the [redacted] - I did not change this. I never heard from anyone on the [redacted], so I called that evening - I was told now the driver would not be picking my car up until the [redacted]. I explained NUMEROUS times to all parties involved that these dates had to be EXACT. They had to be delivered by the [redacted], or else no one would be there to receive the cars and pay the additional fees.

I finally spoke with the car carrier company directly who told me they do not ship cars on Tuesdays and did not understand why Mike told me I could ship it on the [redacted] (a Tuesday) and they also require customers to know there is a 2 day window, meaning they could be arranged to be shipped on the [redacted], but possible wouldn't be shipped until the [redacted]. I was also told that the cars would be picked up in the morning or early afternoon. The driver called me at 830 PM on Friday the [redacted] to pick up my cars. NONE of this was explained to me. I was told the cars would be shipped on Tuesday the [redacted] and at our house in Michigan by Thursday the 1[redacted], the latest Saturday the [redacted].

I finally met the driver at a local [redacted] where I was told I was supposed to bring the cars to him and that he could not go to our place of business and pick them up. ANOTHER fail by Mike. My cars cannot be driven that long of a distance and I was told they would be picked up AT OUR PLACE OF BUSINESS. The ending result: My cars were never shipped, I was charged a deposit of $250 and have not heard from them since. I had to ship my cars but a RELIABLE company, that cost much more money and I had to delay my move.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund - I scheduled a charge back on my [redacted] and I want to make sure they do not dispute this. I also want to let everyone know what a joke of a business this "man" is running and make sure everyone knows they are shady. They should also change their name to "United UN-Reliable Auto Carriers".
