Review: I have contacted PYT numerous times in regards to a warranty claim on the lifetime warranty. To make the warranty valid you had to register online and via mail which I completed. So after three years of use my straightener became defective (broke). On January **, 2014 I sent the defective product via two day priority mail, enclosed in the package was the original receipt, warranty claim registration completed. According to UPS on January **,2014 the package was received by PYT. Since I bought the $150.00 insurance I tried to challenge UPS on it they stated that I was not able to file a claim because the package WAS received. So therefore PYT either needs to issue a full refund or a brand new straighter. I have tried to call this number twice [redacted] and have 8 different emailed attempts with the same answer that they never received it. I still have all the emails and ups infoDesired Settlement: Refund or a brand new straightener,

Response:
I have reviewed this complaint and the emails between [redacted] and one of our former representatives. After receiving notification of her Revdex.com complaint, we reached out to [redacted] via email in late July 2014. We told her we’d be happy to waive the mandatory return of her tool to help save her some inconvenience and shipping costs, as long as she was willing to send us a check for the shipping and handling payment to send her replacement tool. It seems her initial check was lost in the mail, and there was some back and forth which delayed her replacement. Having just read the correspondence, we’d like to sincerely apologize, as we feel the representative handling her case was rather curt. She received her new styler on August [redacted]. She has not contacted us with any concerns since, so we believe this issue has been resolved. Thank you for your time, We're delighted that you contacted us at PYT. We're open Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm (EST) and we will be happy to assist all domestic and international customers. Please leave the email chain in your correspondence.
Review: I Purchased a hair straightener from there [redacted] location. The product I purchased was the Snow leopard print with large size plates. 1/1/2 to 2" I believe, also had an autosetting for your hair, did not need to be set by owner. I purchased this on sale for 200.00 and also bought a lifetime warranty for 40.00.
I sent my hair pruduct back as one of the plates stopped working, had my receipt and my warranty card and still had the box too. I looked up how to return and paid the 22.95 to get my new one. Well what I recieved this week was the small version of the snow leopard straightner, with no suto control, you have to set the heat yourself. I email the company and I have tried to call the company, cannot leave voice mail as it is full. I wrote for them to replace the one I sent back and if they do not offer it any longer to issue a refund of the money I paid.
No Reponse.Desired Settlement: Replacement

At this time, I have been contacted directly by PYT Hair regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
[Your Answer Here]The company sent me another hair straigtener but it was not the same as the one I purchased, they asked me to take a picture of the box which I did but the box looked the same as the one I sent back. The product inside was different, I let them know that and never heard back from them.....So I will never buy a product from them again and I will tell everyone on [redacted] and else where not to purchase from them.
In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

Review: I purchased a PYT Flat Iron as well as the Curling Wand set from Bel Air mall in Mobile AL. The products came with a "lifetime warranty" which made them worth the cost. However, now that I am trying to claim my warranty promise, the company is telling me I have to pay an additional fee on top of the warranty cost I already paid. In addition to this scheme, PYT is claiming that the kiosk I purchased the irons from is not an authorized retailer even though they have the required certificate. I have found several retailers on-line that are displaying their retailer numbers and all return the message "NOT AN AUTHORIZED RETIALER" when the numbers are entered on the PYT website. It seems as though PYT is not only scamming consumers but also their own distribution venues. So the scam is, if none of the locations that sell the PYT products are "authorized retailers", PTY does not have to honor the warranty. I have tried contacting PYT by phone and there is never an answer or response. I have also sent PYT an email containing a copy of my receipt as well as a copy of the authorized retailer certificate displayed by the kiosk asking them how I should proceed if the retailer number is incorrect and have not gotten a response. PYT is scamming consumers by advertising a warranty that they have no intention to fulfill. They are also intentionally listing their retail locations as “unauthorized” in order to avoid having to fulfill the warranties consumers are paying for. This is fraud.Desired Settlement: I will be happy to provide a copy of my original receipts in order to receive a full refund for the products that were sold to me by false advertisement. My total loses for the purchase are $187.00.

Review: Purchased a hair straightener that was faulty. Exchanged it for another the next day. Product still unacceptable performance (pulled my daughter's hair and we DO know how to use it. She is 25 and we both tried to use it on her hair after a demonstration as part of the slick sales pitch.) However, VENDOR Kiosk # [redacted] (MA) used deceptive sales pitch. NO REFUND POLICY is only clear on the sales receipt and a very small sign you are steered away from when purchasing. (MGR) made the sale and made a hard sell of getting the warranty so now she refuses to give a refund, deal with PYT directly. She is rude, shifty, untruthful ...lying about the length of time her kiosk has been present at this mall location and what else; that the company (PYT) doesn't allow returns? She is the [redacted]. She first said 6 years, now it's 7 years, management saying neither is true. ( I checked with management there when I complained to them about her business ethics.) Seeing the concerns on PYT [redacted] of failed calls to and from PYT, this is a scam outfit with poor ethics and customer service. It targets teenagers with Mama's credit cards. I am neither, but needed a 220 volt straightener in a hurry for an international trip my daughter was taking. Daughter is still out of the country by the way, NOT that she used this product when traveling and now , I am attempting to return it. I ALSO have serious concerns about the health standards of this KIOSK as they fiddle with customer's hair, NONE of the straighteners are in sealed boxes. I am sure the one I returned could be on their display this very moment. And we are supposed to TRUST that they don't do that when their practices are so deceptive? OVERALL the idea is gross and sleazy business practice.Desired Settlement: Company should be contacted and a refund given. I am HAPPY to return this product to them or locally and/or contact local health officials [redacted] ([redacted])
Review: I purchased a hair straightener from an authorized dealer of the PYThair products. This included a lifetime warranty if anything were ever to happen to the product, as long as I had proof of insurance and a recipt. I had all the info needed. I spoke with a representative and sent my broken product back with delivery conformation. I am not getting emails back nor have I recieved my replacment item.Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement for my broken item that was covered according to their warranty policy.

Hello, Attached is the correspondence between our company and [redacted], for your review. [redacted] sent her first email regarding warranty replacement to us on October [redacted], 2014. Unfortunately, we were unable to respond in a timely manner as we were between customer service representatives at that time. We contacted her in early November, letting her know that the print of the styler she’d sent was out of stock and gave her a list of new prints to choose from for her replacement tool. We replaced her tool and let her know she was covered under our lifetime warranty. She thanked us and we have not heard from her since. We believe this complaint has been resolved. Thank you for your time, We're delighted that you contacted us at PYT. We're open Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm (EST) and we will be happy to assist all domestic and international customers. Please leave the email chain in your correspondence. [redacted]
