The course is excellent for PMP test preparation. The trainers were very knowledgeable. They are real-world project managers with diverse backgrounds with a deep understanding of what PMI wants to achieve through its testing methods. Our trainer skillfully transferred that understanding as well as the strategy for taking the test. PMTI wants you to understand the concepts, and they take the time and provide whatever resources you need to do so.
Thank you PMTI

I paid the almost $2k for the week long online boot camp course right before the transition to 6th edition because of the reviews and they advertise a "pass guarantee or money back". Well, I missed passing the 5th edition exam and when I tried to re-enroll 6 months later was told I would have to pay another $500 to sit in on their online course or access online content. Horrible customer service and organization. When I took course it was pretty informative, but I would recommend another provider with similar content. I informed Vanessa Alanis, the new Customer Service Coordinator, that reason for delay was unplanned medical issue that had me in and out of doctor appointments and taking a course during that time would not have been beneficial and the I had notified Rita, the previous person in Customer Service and Shobha who apparently handles Administrative Operations. They seemed to not care and requested medical records reflecting my inability to attend. I'm not sure if anyone has worked with Mayo Clinic, but that task seems to be impossible based on the number of doctors and specialists I had to be seen by. So, here I am buying more books to study solo after paying an exorbitant amount for this course that was helpful, but fell short of closing out as advertised.

I filed a complaint with the customer service deparment. Listed below is what I sent to them:

I failed for the 3rd time and I'm completely devastated. Whom can I speak with in regards to my test. When I first took the test I barely failed the 2nd and 3rd time I failed miserably. This past Saturday March 24th, I received the EXACT SAME TEST FROM THE PREVIOUS WEEK. How is this even remotely fair. I thought the test were random. I think it would be fair to allow me to test again, but not with the same test. I know I will get denied, but I was rushing trying to make it into the 5th addition. Please let me know whom I can speak with.

This is the response I received:

Dear ***,

Thank you for contacting the Project Management Institute.

We have received your inquiry regarding your PMP exam appointment. Prometric’s log history from your exam does indicate that you received the same exam form for your exam appointments on the 18th and 24 of Mar 2018. While it may ideal to receive the examination in a different form, PMI does not guarantee that candidates will receive a different exam each time that they appear for their credential appointments. Studies show that in some cases, receiving identical examination content usually benefits candidate that individual can study based on their previous exam .

Additionally, we have looked over your exam results from that appointment, and detect no anomalies with the scoring of the exam. Therefore, the result from this appointment will stand as valid.

The appeals process is the only method to review all decisions made by the PMI Certification Department. Candidates for the credential may submit a written request to the Office of Certification Appeals for review of an adverse decision. Requests can be sent by postal mail to PMI, or by email to [email protected].

Additional information on the appeals process can be found in the credential handbooks.

If you have any other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Sincerely,

Thank you,

***, PMP

I recently signed up, paid, and attended a PMTI bootcamp for the PMP exam preparation. I signed up for PMTI over other organizations because they informed me that they have a money back guarantee if I fail the exam. they sent out materials to look over an a practice exam. The site informed me that I should go ahead and sign up for the exam if I am able to make a 75 on the practice exam, so once I made that I went ahead and signed up for the first available open seat. I went through the bootcamp, which was only stories about the instructors life and way too much time spent on one very small portion of the exam (3 questions from the exam to be exact). I completed everything instructed on the course material to include practice tests, fill in the blank booklets, and memorization sheets. I failed my first attempt and reached out to PMTI by email about my results. After not response for a full day, I reach out to the online chat, where they asked me to send my results again so they could supply me with a custom study guide. When I received the custom study guide, I noticed it was a mass generated plan that only documented the page to go to in the book and was not even accurate for the areas I needed the most help on from my test results. I decided to find a different organization to study with to pass the PMP exam. After reaching out to PMTI for a refund, they informed me that I must fail the test three times to get the refund. It is obvious that their refund policy works off the fact that people are not going to stick strictly with tier study plan and fail three times in a row. they will spend extra money and go elsewhere to make sure they get the information needed to pass. PMTI failed to provide all of the information needed for example, Agile was never discussed in the class outside of the instructor talking about how he also instructs that class, but it was in the exam in multiple questions.

Dear ***,The student accessed and utilized our online portal, online application preparation tool, our free advice on ensuring the application passes PMI rigor, over 50 hours of videos, electronic versions of the blue book, brown book, orange book, gray book, and online question bank. In the class, additionally, the student received a PMTI swag bag, pens, pencils, erasers, highlighters, stick/flag notes, blue book, brown book, orange book, gray book. He received instruction in a boot camp format for 4 days from Dr. ***, MS, MBA, PMP, Ph.D. PMI's exam is a standardized exam that has an exact format in its scoring. The test is scored on performance ratings of Needs Improvement, Below Target, Target, Above Target on five domains - Initiating, Planning, Executing, Controlling, and Closing. The test does not reveal any additional information besides this.Upon hearing Mr. has failed, we prepared and emailed him our rigorous 11-page PMP exam retake study plan with analysis of all the 42 tasks, 49 processes, 5 process groups that the exam tests in these 5 domains, and gave him a very pointed, directed, and exact plan for improvement in each area with a performance target. Additionally the plan pointed to target sections from our blue book, specific tests to take and practice, and focused videos to watch. If this were not enough, we provide free tutoring and email/phone coaching to encourage. Additionally, we provided access to the online portal where the student gets to review the videos, the blue and brown books, and retake the tests.Whether the student likes it or not, the exam expects a certain level of proficiency and PMTI provides the tools to achieve it. PMTI cannot take the exam or achieve this proficiency for the student. All we can do provide the tools and the encouragement that is proven over 15 years. Repetition is key to success and student has to repeat the information, retake the tests until such proficiency is achieved. Our system has worked for dozens of thousands of students and we have 15 years of proven student success to prove. As you can see, we are going above and beyond our call of duty. The student is defaming and making false allegations about how our company operates without any backup information speculating about how our students fare. A quick survey of verified student reviews all around the internet shows that we go above and beyond what we promised to our students and what he says is untrue. Regardless, we are committed to Mr. exam success. Here are the terms Mr. has signed up for - https://www.4PMTI.com/termusa.pdf. The contract Mr. has signed does not provide an option to seek refund. Resolution: No refund issued. PMTI will work with Mr. to provide the tools, videos, course material to pass the exam.Hope this helps,PMTI Management

Mr. received the entire classroom instruction in the form of videos before the class, the same classroom instruction, same books, same model of instruction, same tests, same evaluation, same online portal to re-do the tests, same portal to review the videos again that we have done for dozens of thousands of students successfully.

PMI provides a very standardized report. Our study plan HAS to be tailored to this very specific report. Which is what the report does. The report has color coded sections based on how the student has performed on the test. It is not tossed together as the student says. It takes each individual task, breaks it down into the pages that are directly relevant to that task and asks the student to review that page and the relevant page in the videos. Since the videos cover multiple pages in order, the student has to review the pages that are relevant in that video. No one in the industry does this level of granular analysis and provides a pointed study plan. I get the feeling that the student has not attempted to either go that page, read the pages, or visit the videos and review the videos.

The student is now fishing for various venues to shift the blame and avoid doing what the exam expects. PMTI's job is to provide the tools. We provided more than what has been agreed to in the contract. Yet, the student is trying to make false allegations about how our model works, how something we provide is not adequate. Regardless, as per the terms at https://www.***I is required to provide guidance through email and phone. We did much more than that. We provided 50+ hours of video, free tutoring sessions, several critical key topics hand outs, blue book, brown book, orange book, gray book, extra questions, and much more than the student has bargained. Mr. claim is rejected.

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me, not because of the response, but because I went with another venue that was a lot better than PMTI and passed the PMP. I will take my reviews to social media and news reviews. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.

MaryAnn was an excellent PMP boot camp instructor. It was a long extremely informative 4 days that I would advise anyone preparing to take the PMP Certification to take.
