Review: The individual ([redacted])) and his helper represent Pro- Tech Home Services and operate under a license held by [redacted] General Contractors ( ROC # [redacted]). I seen his add on craigslist for drywall and texture repairs. I called him and scheduled an appointment to look at some texture repairs in my home. He rescheduled 3 times in the same day while I waited for him at my home. He finally came and I showed him the spots that I wanted fixed because I planned on painting the interior of the home after repairs were complete. He gave me a price of $150-$200. I scheduled an appointment for him to do the work. Again, He made several excuses why he could not be at my home at the scheduled time. He finally showed up. Mr. [redacted] and his helper were completely and totally unprofessional. They had to use one of my ladders, Asked me if had plastic that they could use to cover up belongings in my home as to not make a mess, argued with me regarding dumping dirty water in my toilet, gave me an aerosol can of primer paint to finish some spots that he did not do and than took it back after I paid him $280 in cash ( we were in my garage and I put the paint on my tool box after he was paid he took the paint off of my toolbox and walked to his truck and put it in the truck). The areas that he "fixed"? came out worse than they were prior to his attempted repairs. I called him on the phone the following day to tell him that I looked at all the areas he "fixed"? and that they were not showing any texture they were just bald, smooth spots. He said he would come over the next day and "fix" them. He did show up but his 2nd. "fix" did not change anything. He spilled a large cup of coffee on my carpet in the master bedroom and attempted to clean it up with carpet cleaner which he claimed was the best commercial carpet cleaner. I offered carpet cleaner that I have at home but he insisted on using his. He claimed that he had his own carpet cleaning business in the past and that this product was what he always used. It did absolutely nothing as far as removing any of the stain, in fact the stain is still there. Mr. [redacted] and his helper are completely and totally unprofessional. They do not know how to do texture repairs, they are irresponsible and inconsiderate. The areas that they attempted to repair are actually worse than before they did their work. I paid $280 cash and received absolutely nothing in return except stress and aggravation. Mr. [redacted] told me that he can not get licensed because he is a Felon and that is why he operates under another contractors license. I was told this after I paid him when we were in my garage. Very dissatisfied with the entire situation from start to finish. I am a carpenter who has been working in the construction industry for 30 years . I was a self employed contractor for 7 of those 30 years. I know what I am talking about.Desired Settlement: I want my money refunded. I will hire a PROFESSIONAL to do the work correctly at a reasonable price so that I can move on and finish painting the interior of my home.

Response:
Mr. [redacted]'s entire complaint is an outright deception - a fabrication designed to exact revenge because of the outcome of something totally unrelated! Here's what really happened....
Mr. [redacted] was very happy with our work. Follow me on this, and think about what I am about to say, and you'll have to agree with me. He claims to be 30 years in the construction trade, therefore he would know adequate from inadequate drywall work. With drywall, what you see is what you get when the job is complete. If it isn't done properly, that is apparent immediately. Yet he paid me cash for a job that wasn't done adequately? Why would he do that? And why would he wait months to file a complaint? And why did Mr. [redacted] allow me to use him as a reference twice after I did the work? I have two customers whom I can either have send a sworn affidavit, or bring to an arbitration hearing, who called Mr. [redacted] to inquire about our drywall work - to which he responded to both customers with a hearty thumb's up and gave us a good reference in both cases.
Mr. [redacted] is doing this to me because I didn't send him the side-work he asked me for during a conversation he and I had in his garage, in which he told me he was struggling financially. I had put one of my customers in touch with him, who reported back to me that they were not comfortable with the way Mr. [redacted] was interacting with them via email. So I told the customer not to do business with Mr. [redacted]. Since I tout my A+ rating proudly as an accredited member of the Revdex.com, he figured he'd go after my flawless, complaint-less history by filing a frivolous complaint after the fact.
As a footnote, read my reviews on our drywall work - his contention is completely out of step with every single bit of data contained in the more than fifteen reviews of my company on the Revdex.com website. As for my drywall work specifically, I am known in the Phoenix area as the go-to guy for drywall repairs - and have garnered a reputation as one who can do seemless, completely inconspicuous, invisible and undetectable drywall repairs. My repairs are flawless and perfect. As for several of the 'sub-complaints' within the general complaint...the "dirty water, using his ladder, arguing with him, et al, those are simply embellishments which Mr. [redacted] added in order to dress up the complaint and make us look utterly irresponsible. Again, I encourage whoever reads this response to go back through our history of reviews on our Revdex.com profile, and ask yourself if Mr. [redacted]'s allegations could be remotely true about our company? Such frivolous allegations are completely out of step with the consensus established by our customer as reflected in our reviews. Mr. [redacted] is lying.
If you add all of this up - the fact that he paid me cash for a job well done; the fact that its been nearly three months between the completion of the job and the complaint; the fact that he gave me solid references after the work was done; coupled with an analysis of my company reviews - all of which are positive about my work, and my specifically my drywall work, and it is both evident and irrefutable that Mr. [redacted] is being dishonest, and using the Revdex.com with which to exercise vengeance on his behalf. I am requesting that Mr. [redacted]'s complaint be set-aside as inappropriate and non-applicable.

Response:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I would like to send photos of his repairs to who it may concern as proof. I do not want to work for him or any of his customers. I do not want to be associated with a FLAKE1 ( [redacted]) . I never gave him a reference at all , even though he contacted me 3 times to do so. I had a homeowner contact me weeks later regarding looking at some framing he wanted done from a reference from Mr. [redacted]. I spoke briefly with him; he told me that , "[redacted] was in New York and he wanted to wait until he came back to have me look at the work". I simply stated "ok". I had no intentions of doing or looking at the work and this was the best way to end the conversation and dismiss the whole thing. Mr. [redacted] needs to stick to the FACTS! . The photos and an inspection from anyone concerned is my evidence. My complaint is staying and I will not remove it. I will not even comment on any of his other statements. B[redacted]om line I paid him to get him out of my home. He needs to prove all of his statements. #1) I gave him references etc..

I had two lengthy conversations with you about this - and was dumbfounded to get the email from the Revdex.com last week in which I was encouraged to seek resolution with Mr. [redacted]. Frankly, when I read that, the only two words that came to mind were "administrative ineptness." How in heaven's name could you simply dismiss any hope for real justice by offering such an antaquated, anecdotal remedy which is utterly indifferent to truth? Does it matter to the Revdex.com one iota that Mr. [redacted] is outright lying, and simply using them as an extension with which to seek retribution for something totally unrelated to any work I did for him? Mr. [redacted] was completely satisifed with my work...and, in fact, referred me out to two other potential customers - citing the quality of my work as his reason for recommending me. I will be bringing those individuals to the arbitration meeting, because there is NO circumstance by which I will settle with Mr. [redacted]. Why would you even suggest I do something like that when it should be evident to the discerning eye that Mr. [redacted] is lying. Ask yourself, why did he pay me cash for work that is so horrible? Are you telling me that he couldn't see messed up drywall before he paid me? Why would he refer me out? And most importantly, why would he wait three months to file a complaint? I'll tell you why...because I pulled the plug on a potential working relationship with him weeks after I did the work for him, so this is his way of getting even with me. Take a minute and examine the reviews about my work...particularly, about my drywall work, and then ask yourself if Mr. [redacted] could possibly be talking about the same person you read about in my reviews on the Revdex.com website. As for the photos he has sent (or wants to send) - call his bluff as another agency he has involved did, and ask him if you can come out to his house and see the 'damage' I did to his walls. He'll deny you the opportunity because he is lying and the damage he claims to have experienced at my hand does not exist. You need to employ some discernment here, [redacted]. I'm sorry if that offends...it really is not my intent, but emailing me and encouraging the turning of a blind eye to the truth by the embracing of some half-cocked meaningless resolution is a mockery, and makes the Revdex.com an obsequious simpering sycophant to this man's agenda. Consider this my response.
I had Pro-Tech do a wide variety of repair and remodel work on my rental. They were skilled in a wide variety of areas. They were trustworthy and very security conscious.
I am writing this review with regard to a recent experience , I had with pro tech home services. I was in need of electrical work, which included some drywall work. I called Pro tech and had the pleasure of talking to [redacted] who must have detected the sense of urgency in my situation, because within a few minutes he had set up an electrician to be at my home by that afternoon. I was quoted an approximate price, knowing that the price may change depending on the outcome of the job. The electrician came out he was honest, professional. Did a great job, above and beyond my expectations. I received a followup call from [redacted] to check if all our needs had been met. My only regret is that we had not found this company sooner. In the past 2 months we have done a lot of home renovations and have dealt with several companies for various services. I would have loved to have given my business to pro tech, they were friendly, fast and affordable. I will definitely be adding them to our contact list and Recommending them to all our friends.
I called Dave after seeing the ad on Craigslist saying "if we cant fix it, it cant be fixed". What started as a search for some general repairs ended with awarding Dave the contract to paint the outside of our home in Goodyear. I like to do a lot of research so I know how to interview tradespeople. Dave has a really experienced crew and they pay attention to detail. Very professional from the quote process through the jobsite cleanup. There was no "nickel and diming". At the end of the job, we did a checklist walk through and the few minor misses were fixed immediately.
As the job went on, I gained confidence that they could back up their claim to fix anything. Dave found a screen door for my patio, installed a new hose bib on my leaky outdoor tap and made some repairs to my irrigation. When they left, my front door finally closed properly and the baseboard around my island was finally done properly.
As for prices, I do my homework there too. Protech is good value for your dollar. I made sure to communicate what I wanted, agreed on a price and we had a good relationship. I recommend that you do your negotiating before work starts, pay on time, and you'll have a great experience. If you add things that take extra time and materials, be fair and Dave will be too. Thanks Dave, Kenny and Dave J[redacted].
I hired Pro Tech Home Services for the first time two years ago, when I needed to have a house flipped. I met with Dave Pantele and another man named Paul, who as it turns out handles the contract side of their operation. I was impressed initally by the fact that they claimed to be able to perform any and all functions related to home improvement. But what I found to be even more impressive is their integrity. It is hard to find a company you can trust. The first job they bid for me required them to access the attic crawl space in order to diagnose an electrical issue. Dave found a small lock-box which contained jewelry and valuable rare coins buried in the insulation, of which he promptly notified me as to the find. I think its fair to speculate that many people, if not most, would have concealed such a discovery. As it turns out, the former occupant was deceased and his children never knew about the lock-box when they vacated the home to put it on the market. I was able to return those items to the family of the previous owner. Regarding performance, the work Pro Tech has done on my properties is unsurpassed, and working with them is hassle free. They have now done a half dozen house-flips for me, and the chemistry we have attained mutually inspires confidence. We have this thing down to an exacting science. I am closing on another property in two weeks. I will call and give them the address, they will quote me a price to renovate the property; I will hand them a deposit check and within two weeks, the house will be completely transformed and back on the market. These guys are a dream-team.
This is the third time I have used Pro-Tech Home Services. The first experience was due to some outside paint cracking and peeling away. I was out of town, received a Home Owners Association complaint with threat of penalties if not taken care of quickly. I called Pro-Tech and Mr. Pantele responded immediately and handled it completely for me. He emailed me pictures of the finished job, and the new paint was a perfect match.
The second time was for leakage in the garage from a blocked drainage pipe. He handled it promptly and efficiently. The invoice was for less than the estimate.
This third time was for more extensive renovations. It involves taking out a bench at a bay window, installing a sliding door between the master bedroom and the master bathroom which required tearing out part of the wall to accommodate the sliding door and replacing some cracked tiles in the flooring. Throughout the job he was very professional, frequently asking me to look at his work and make sure I was satisfied with it and he was flexible about any wanted changes. The finished product is exactly as he described it when he gave the estimate and looks very good.
At the time I am writing this there are two remaining small tasks to complete the project which are delayed due to an ordered small amount of carpeting and the customized door still have not arrived. Both will take only a few hours to install, and walls and paneling appearance will not be affected.
I had Pro Tech out to do a bunch of work on one of my properties. They hung some kitchen cabinets and installed granite countertops for me. They were professional and punctual - finished the work on time and were middle of the road where pricing is concerned. What really won me over was their drywall work. I had some damage to the ceilings from a break-in. Someone broke into the garage and went up into the attic crawl-space in the garage and exited the crawl space inside the house in the kitchen, leaving a huge hole. The repair they did on the drywall was beyond perfect. The owner told me up front that if the job wasn't perfect, I didn't have to pay him and I was going to hold him to that. Much to my surprise, his confidence level was in sync with his experience level, and the drywall repair was impeccable. It's hard to find that old-school style of workmanship these days, but Pro Tech certainly has it. I strongly recommend them. From their customer service to their field work, they more than exceeded my expectations. [redacted]
They made difficult jobs seem simple. Full range of skills..........and they know what they are doing and do it.
I had them fix a leak in the wall, facia board replacement, sprinkler repair and last but not least they re-surfaced my pool with mini pebble tech including tile turtles in the floor of the pool. The crews and supervisors were very careful and clean during the construction.
I am very pleased with their work and will continue to use their services.
Pro-Tech Home services were very professional in all aspects of the services they were to provide to the condos at Aztec on 105th Ave. They explained in detail with pictures of the project they were bidding on an accomplish said work as detailed in the contract.
