Very pleasant experience dealing with customer service and operations department. I used my card right after receiving it from my employer as a recognition for my work and I had no issues. Great company!

Card Experis within a year and if its not activated within 9 months there is a fee for not activating what a scam customers be aware

Be aware! This company scams! When your pre-paid debit card expire at one year only, they will not replace your card with or without cost. They just simply forfeit your money. Even it is against fedral law of CREDIT CARD ACCOUNTABILITY RESPONSIBILITY AND DISCLOSURE ACT OF 2009! I am so wondering, as a financial service provider when cards expires, the money neither goes to the issuer nor the issuee or State unclaimed fund pool but to their own pocket and they keep telling you this is perfect legal? This is so unacceptable!
I am filing a formal complain at comptroller of currency under U.S. department of Treasury. If you are experiencing the same lost, I encourage you to do the same so. DO NOT LET SCAMMER TAKE ADVANTAGE ON YOU!

I received several of these "gift cards" from my employer only to find that the funds expired in a short period of time and appear to be in direct violation of the Federal CARD Act (CREDIT CARD ACCOUNTABILITY RESPONSIBILITY AND DISCLOSURE ACT OF 2009). Under this Federal Act, non-reloadable debit cards should have funds available for a minimum of 5 years. Prepaid-USA sells cards that expire within just one-year, and do not provide options for consumers to recover the remaining balance. Even if a card expires, the funds should not expire, but this business explicitly states they will not issue new cards and funds are gone. If you want to reward your team, go with a company that supports consumers and provides funds for the minimum required 5 years.

Had an OUTSTANDING experience today from Liscet and her team! I thought a gift card that I didn't use right away was going to expire worthless, but they were able to help me waive some of the charges that had accrued near the end of the card life. A big THANK YOU to the Prepaid-USA customer service team for their very pleasant help today !!

During this pandemic, when I called customer service, I was so lucky to speak with Liscet who was so helpful and went above and beyond which I truly appreciate :)

One word...SCAM! I can't imagine how these people get up and go to work every day.
I've been dealing with them for 5 months now over $1,000 of expired cards. Like the *** they are, they negotiated the replacement of a specific number of cards in exchange for a 5 Star customer service review on this site (see October 2017). These many months later, I have received nothing but excuses, runaround and finally silence from the very same people mentioned in other posts on this site. It is clear to me now that they never intended to replace the cards. They engineered a scheme (which, by the way, cost me more money in shipping fees) and then conspired to deflect, mislead and lie with the understanding that I would eventually give up. Shameful business...Shameful people...buyer beware!
By the way...it seems to me that the service fee they receive per card is not how they make their money...they hope and expect that a large number of prepaid cards will expire with funds attached, so they win when their customers lose...shameful business model.

Our company has purchased many gift cards from Prepaid-USA. We use them as incentives for our sales reps. Our company purchases 25-30 cards at a time and we have run into many issues with the expiration date. We recently had 5 cards that expired. We requested to send the expired cards back to Prepaid-USA in exchange for 5 new cards valued at the same amount. After trying to contact them via phone with no success we reached out to our Sales Rep. She was not able to help so referred us to the Operations Team. The Operations Team reviewed our request for several days and came back with a blanket email stating they would not work with us and that the money on the cards was forfeited. They didn't seem to mind that we told them we were exploring other options. We are using up the last of our cards but switching providers for future purchases. Prepaid-USA claims since they sell Visa Awards cards they are allowed to keep the 1 year expiration. This is a lot of money that the company has now forfeited.

My card was denied due to expiration date however I called the customer service and Liscet help me with my issue, she was able to credit 1/2 of the card value which was 150 dollars and I am very happy and satisfied with their customer service

Liscet was a most helpful and professional person to deal with. She is extremely knowledgeable person who went the extra mile to help me with a problem. Everything she advised me of was accurate and reliable.

I think this company is great. We had an issue with some cards expiring in a short period of time. They helped us resolve the situation to our satisfaction for these cards were being used to help those in the restaurant industry when they face financial hardship. They were very responsive and quick to find a solution for us. I would recommend them to anyone. Thanks Prepaid-USA!

STAY AWAY! received a card, only card, no literature... forgot about it, found it, and expired. contacted Prepaid-USA, all I get is, sorry expired cannot be re-sent. so my question is, where the money gone? it's not small like $20 or so, it's more like a $500 value! PS, it took me at least 20+ tries to get hold of a live person to speak to, and of course, get a round-a-round to contact someone else via email. took me at least 3 tries to get someone to reply via email. Terrible customer service I should say.

I purchased 1o cards. They work most places, but are rejected from time to time. Be prepared to pay another way.
The real problem is the expiration date was too short. I have a couple employees we gave these to that were sparing the use on the card. I am not able to get in contact with anyone that can replace the cards. After being referred to several new representatives at new numbers I was finally sent to an email only reply. I have emailed them and have not received a response. It seems they are purposely making the expiration times short and hoping that many will forget to use them quickly. I am not sure why they can answer ever other question over the phone, but refer problems on to an email only system. I will not buy future cards here.

I received a card from my employer for doing a good job I never had a problem with the card and customer service was helpful when I needed to check my balance.

We purchased these Visa cards to give to our employees, everyone is quite happy with the gift and they can’t wait until we offer the cards again!
