When my 2005 Ford F-150 5.4L 3v engine failed I've decided to purchased a remanufacture engine in 2017. In January, 2020 one month before my warranty was to end and my engine began giving trouble, I've tried calling and I haven't been able to get in touch with anyone, I've then brought it to a local mechanic to find out my engine is having oil pressure issues internally. I'm so disappointed with this company my truck is well maintained now I'm left holding the bag with not knowing what to do needing another motor.
The company is not responding to my warranty claim.
I bought an engine with a 3-year 100,000 mile warranty. The engine died in less than 18 months and less than 10,000. The company will not respond to my warranty claim.
Replacement of engine (and the coolant system which the failed engine has now contaminated). Otherwise a full refund of $4050 for the engine I purchased.
Horrible customer service. Move you onto another employee. and your issue is never resolved. We never recieved our $450 core deposit.
We purchased a new transmission from this company in 2018 and have been trying to get in contact with them about our warranty and no one answers.

I've called several times and the 'warranty' dept. really let me know that they would order tests after mechanic notified their engine had been faulty, then we'd have to send the motor to them and they'd 3tear into it. I asked him to be honest if he knew they'd eventually find something that they could say was my fault he got quiet . I now owe for tests they ordered plus I STILL have a bad engine.
If I can't get what I paid for. Id like a refund for the engine 2800 , 1800 for installation plus 800.00 for tests they ordered .a phone call from someone at least pretending to be concerned for honest paying veteran citizen!!!

They failed to provide me with a core deposit refund of $300.
Received an order confirmation for a 3.5L DOHC V6 engine on September 19, 2018 from a sales representative named Natalia Cadena. The order number was #XXXXX. Received the engine and had it installed. My mechanic used the core deposit forms provided to have my engine core sent back. The core was picked up, but I never received my $300 core deposit refund. I called the company many times to inquire about the refund. I spoke with a Josh in customer service. He informed me that I should receive my deposit by February 4, 2019. That date passed with no results. I emailed them on February 20 to let them know I had not received my refund. I did not get a reply. I called Josh many times thereafter. Sometimes he was "in a meeting," sometimes he was "not in," and other times there was simply no answer. I finally spoke with someone who admitted that the company was having problems, but assured me that I should be getting my refund soon. Now it is eight months later. It is clear that they have no intentions of resolving this issue.
To receive my refund of $300.
Transmission wont go any faster than 40 mph.
Purchased 11/18/16. Installed by Rainbow Transmissions on 12/01/16. Programmed by Superior Nissan in Conway, AR on 12/1/16. I was given a 3-year unlimited warranty. It is still in warranty. But the company wont talk to me!!!!

Powertrain offered us a $450 core deposit fee for the return of our transmission core to them. They arranged pick up of our core and never refunded.

Transmission purchased from Powertrain was a remanufactured transmission for a 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 that met 2018 standards. Transmission was to have a 3 year 100,000 mile warranty.
Our mechanic placed the transmission in our truck and it took several phone calls before Powertrain arranged for the core pick up from our mechanic. We waited 10 days before we called to confirm receipt. We were told it would take 6 weeks to receive our refund of 450.00 After repeated phone calls, lots of long hold times and being passed from person to person on the phone, we still never received our refund. We tried for months and eventually all phone numbers we had were no longer working. We also sent emails in attempt to receive our refund.
The original purchase was made in late October of 2018 and the purchase price was 3025.00.
I also have an order number of XXXXX with the a date of November 1, 2018.
The order was shipped to our mechanic, Baldwins in Chandler OK. The core was also picked up from him.
We would appreciate assistance in the refund of 450.00 as promised to us by Derek at Powertrain. Our core was returned by our mechanic through the carrier that Powertrain sent. We can obtain bank records for proof of payment and purchase date if necessary. We are also in contact with the mechanic to locate the name of the carrier that picked up the core. sold us a bad transmission, can't get ahold of them and never gave rebate on core as contracted with them.
Bought from Matt P sales manager in March, been trying since april to resolve starting with pick up of core that they never did or provide credit as contracted with them. Also defective part which was under 75,000 mile 3 year warranty
Since they do not stand behind product or can be contacted we want our purchase credited to credit card. Pretty straight forward I believe they engaged in fraudulent practices

I purchased an engine from powertrain direct for 2 main Reasons 1. warranty of 3 years/XXXXXX miles and 2. Location (Texas since I live in Oklahoma). My Mechanic received the engine and had no problems with install and function. I still seem to have a good engine and hope that it stays that way. I had the core returned by their core department and waited 8 weeks for my core refund.I called after 9 weeks went by and was told it was in processing. I called back in December and talked with Josh and was told its in the mail. I called back in January and was told it would be mailed out January 18th by Josh. I called back in February and was told it was mailed 2/4/19. I called back the end of February and was told it was inline to be processed and mailed March 18th. I have not been able to get in touch with anyone since then. First calls would just ring. Now it says mailbox is full. I would like my $800 for my core deposit or my old engine and I will salvage it and get what money I can myself. Every time I called I would get another date, another reason etc., for my core refund delay. I heard it all from my core was not shipped back in time, not sure why the delay but its shows in the mail, to it just takes time. I thought I did my best to choose a good company.I hope the engine that is installed in my truck holds up and lasts. I was told by derek the sales associate I dealt with that this engine is the same one ford dealers use. Looks like it was all scam.

I ordered a motor for my truck. It was delivered & installed & old motor core was returned to Powertrain Direct. I was due a 30% credit. Never got it.
Powertrain Direct order #XXXXX. Salesman was Sam ***. I paid $3499 by credit card on 2/5/19. Motor for Ford F150 shipped to Pritchett Tire in Baldwin GA. It was shipped out via South Eastern Freight Lines and the tracking number is XXXXXXXXX. Core was returned to TX on 3/14/19 also via South Eastern Freight Lines tracking #XXXXXXXXX. I am due a 30% refund for the returned core charge ($1049.70) and haven't received it. I've tried multiple times unsuccessfully to contact Sam ***. Tried emails, calls. Direct local numbers seem to be disconnected and toll free numbers have a full mailbox. Emails have gone unanswered.
I just want my 30% rebate of $1049.70.
They have lied to me at least twelve times about returning my engine core charge . I have been dealing with them on this issue since mid August 2018

I have had at least 12 conversations trying to get my core charge returned . I was told they haven't heard from the core department and would contact them an call me back but they did not . Then I called back a week later and they wanted to know who I used to send it back. I said your paper work says to contact you and you will send a carrier to pic it up.
Which is what you did . Many calls after this they said it will be mailed out on Friday. Months later they said it had been mailed . Weeks later they claimed I would have to give it two to three weeks due to the weather ( Josh said ) .
In another call they said Josh no longer works there and someone else said I know you are getting tired of being lied to but I am new and will get it taken care of , all core charges are only done on Fridays. This is 05/22/2019 the weather is apparently really bad done there. I want them to send my money today.
I desire the core charge payment sent to me as per the agreement .
Core refunds, warranty labor reimbursement
I bought two engines that has a core deposits on both totaling to 900.00. I have a warranty labor reimbursement that the amount I'm not sure exactly how much it is but they owe me that amount as well. I have been contacting them leaving messages and have not received any call back. Now their voice mail box is full and I cannot leave any more messages.
Taking my cores and refunding me the core amount. Reimbursing me for warranty labor.
A faulty transmission was sold to me. They also didn't refund the core after it was shipped back. Would not acknowledge emails or return calls.
On 01/23/2019 I bought a $1756 transmission from Powertraindirect Order number XXXXX from Alex ***. After having the transmission installed $528 the transmission started having problems and I hadn't received a refund for the core $250. I spoke with Rick Flurry who said he would send the core refund and asked me to email the cost of repairs so the could refund those as well. I emailed multiple times trying to receive my core refund and the amount for a fix that the transmission shop had to repair $275 because the transmission was faulty but never would I get a response. One month later the transmission started getting stuck in third gear. The transmission shop said the transmission was bad and needed to be replaced altogether. I had to have the car towed twice totaling $190. I am out $2,999 because a bad transmission was sold to me and now the company isn't answering phones or emails.
I want $2,999 refunded into my bank account. This is the cost to me for they're bad transmission.
I purchase a motor from Powertrain Direct in Jan.2019, a month after receiving the motor, two weeks later, I return my core to Powertrain Direct for a refund. It now May 8, 2019 and I am still waiting on my refund. I have called and called,all I get is a busy tone. I have email, and no respond. I was told that I have a warranty 5 year on this motor, now I am worry about the warranty. Please help.

I purchased a Ford pickup motor from Powertrain Direct, Inc. on the phone. It was delivered to my mechanic shop in Owensboro, KY and installed and notified the company to pickup the core, which they did and they received it. The billed Powertrain Direct, Inc. for the $200.00 that was to be returned to me. The Invoice #XXXXXXX, the order #XXXXXXX, my customer #XXXXX. The item number is L4090BB-C, item description is Ref# XXXXX, Serial #LXXXXXX, core value $200.00. I tried to call the 3 phone numbers given by Advanced Powertrain Solutions in Addison, Tx and told the core was received, they had been billed, but several other customers, as I, had not been able to reach them and they had been told they were going out of business. I call 888-603-3168, 888-323-9483, and 877-449-0816 and they would ring twice and then give a busy signal.
