In hind-sight, I think we overpaid. 60k not counting the reduction with the tax credit. The first lady who came by was new and clueless. We were denied for our loan, then someone called back later asking why we didn't purchase, and had no idea what we were talking about. We qualified for the loan. We had a contact person who helped get everything installed, then vanished. We had a direct line to her phone and email, but she didn't respond after the loan went through. We've asked customer service where she went, but no one seemed to know what happened there. The guys who installed the system were very polite and professional. They worked quick and well. However, whoever was supposed to call our local state inspector didn't until I nagged them. The inspector came out that day, so it wasn't the state's delay. After the system went live, the battery wouldn't charge. I was tossed back and forth from transfer to transfer until I found someone more clueless than I was. His advice was useless, and I had to call again the next day and be bounced around until someone agreed to send a team out. They never scheduled the team and I had to call yet again. When they came, it turns out someone forgot to plug the battery in. So after all that, the system went live 2 days before the solstice. Which was depressing because the battery didn't make it past 10pm, temperatures dropped into the teens, and we spent 70kw all night staying warm (with a fire in the fireplace).

On October 21, 2019 a representative for PowerHomeSolar came to our house to sell us solar panels. We agreed to 7.6Kw with a 20 year fixed loan of $39,540.00. The representative claimed that the loan is structured so the 30% government rebate ($11,862.00) can be paid on the loan before the first 18 months of the loan to reduce the overall payment. Come tax time, this statement quickly became false as the rebate was $7,967.00 far less than what we were initially told.

The installation was an absolute mess stretching from two days to (after a failed inspection) five days. The company's representative told us that they have local W-2'd employees familiar with local codes that would be responsible for the install.

I cannot speak to their employment status, however the one worker commented that he has only been an employee for two (2) weeks, while another didn't know basic contracting and construction methods.

We have another inspection coming up, however we are WELL beyond the timeline they quoted us in the brochure. We are now paying on a loan for equipment we cannot use yet. It has been four months.

When they finished most of the job looked pretty good before they put ground rods in they should’ve called Julie or asked the owner they installed the ground rod right on top of my current power supply coming into the house and where my water liners insulation in the roof attic they told me they’re putting in 12 to 15 inches and put in two to maybe three at the Max They asked me to inspect it and they finish the dark And I could not see what they did

Not happy with them have 10.5 kw system only have 10.0kw inverter on the house system screen only shows 8.4 kwp can not get answers from customer service. Have talked to solar edge they said power home has to change settings

From start to finish of install, the entire team has been nothing but exemplary!

The company and employees were all very helpful, courteous, and knowledgeable. We had a design issue and they were able to fix the problem and installation was completed. Now, we are just waiting on the County approval and Ameren inspections to begin using our solar system.

This started with the sales process, then engineering, and then the implementation team. On the day the installation was to begin, the team came to the door to let us know they were there, reviewed again what the implementation process involved and kept us up to date on what was going on. And they cleaned up after themselves! We are extremely pleased with the outcome, wish all companies were this professional, courteous and delivered what they promised. Power Home Solar has excellent staff and installation team members. I was sorry that my installation of panels had to be redesigned after an initial attempt failed, because of hitting water in the place cement was to be poured. Yesterday and Today the team successfully installed the 22 panels on 3 large concrete slabs to complete the new design. The several staff members were very attentive to our needs and made the necessary redesign work.
