PNC Bank, N.A.
responded to Mr. [redacted] on December 14, 2015 and considers this matter addressed. -- DMB 12/16/15

August 7, 2015 LR PNC spoke with the customer on July 28, 2015 and considers this matter resolvedThankLauren R[redacted] Executive Client Relations

To summarize the inquiry, the borrower states that she has requested to pay off the loan four times during the past five months and feels she has not received the information required to proceed. She states that she submitted a request via the “loan payoff” link on...

our website in November or December 2014, but did not receive a response.  She states that she then called us in February 2015, but our representative advised he could not provide payoff information by phone and that she were required to submit the request in writing to [redacted]. The borrower states that she has sent e-mails requesting payoff information to this address but has received neither a response to these e-mails nor any payoff information in the mail. She feels that she has had to pay five extra months of interest on the loan balance as a result of this issue; she also points out that she is unable to pay off the loan without the payoff statement and wire transfer information. *CASE SUMMARY: CASE CLOSED AT THIS TIME. RESPONSE AND ENCLOSURE WAS SENT IN THE MAIL TODAY (APRIL 22, 2015) TO THE BORROWERS. DUE TO AN ERROR, THE PAYOFF STATEMENT THAT THE BORROWER ORDERED AROUND DECEMBER 2014 WAS NOT SENT OUT TO THEM. WE HAVE NO RECORD THAT BORROWER REQUESTED PAYOFF STATMENTS IN WRITING IN FEB 2015 OR MARCH 2015 AS CLAIMED IN THE COMPLAINT. DUE TO [redacted] STATE LAW, A VALID PAYOFF REQUEST ON THIS LOAN CAN ONLY COME IN WRITING. WE DID RECEIVE A PAYOFF REQUEST IN APRIL 2015; THE PAYOFF STATEMENT WAS MAILED OUT TO THE BORROWERS ON APRIL 9, 2015. I ENCLOSED A COPY OF THIS STATEMENT WITH THE FINAL RESPONSE LETTER. INSTRUCTIONS FOR WIRING TO US THE FUNDS TO PAYOFF THE LOAN ARE INCLUDED THERE WITH THE PAYOFF STATEMENT.

Issue was resolved by the PNC Detroit area manager, via phone conversation on 6/1, and taking steps to resolve this problem. I would like to close this complaint as resolved. This manager actually convinced me to stay with PNC and give another chance. Many thanks for the wonderful customer service received today, followed by action to make things right.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, with the caveat the business agrees and confirms...

that it has all the information it needs to eliminate the need to further send threatening letters for information previously supplied, as requested.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business...

in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This matter was handled poorly by the institution. After I submitted a complaint to the Revdex.com, the customer service department at PNC bank requested to close my account. When it was closed, I was not informed. I went into a branch, and was told that they did not know the reason why my account was closed and would have to contact customer service to find a reason. I do not appreciate how this matter was handled. There was still no explanation as to why PNC closed my account. I was informed by a banker that my account had to be negative for 30 days before my account could be closed, and it was not negative for 30+ days. Therefore, PNC did not follow their own rules and regulations, as with the overdraft fees that were applied to my account. I would need to see in writing, PNC's terms and condition with overdraft fees, NSF fees, and account closing protocols related to this matter. My payroll, and child support checks are directly deposited into that account. Now I have to wait until PNC mails a check before I can receive my funds, which is causing conflict with my bills, food for my son and myself, transportation to and from work, as well as thing I need done daily. I also would like to file a complaint for the refund of the 52 overdraft charges that was applied to my account in the about of $36 each, totaling $1,872. This is completely unacceptable, and I have seemed legal action with this matter.
