Paul Davis has been extraordinary to work with. I can't say enough positive things about this company. They swooped in on the night I needed them for water mitigation and worked with me through renovation. They dealt with the insurance company directly and every single person I interacted with was professional, caring, friendly and helpful. The result was great!
Very easy company to work with. Professional and extensive in their evaluation and proposal for work neeed to be done. Completion of the project was done in a timely manner and looks great. Also the people you are working with are very responsive and available to all questions and inquiries!
We had a house fire and were absolutely overwhelmed with the enormity of the challenges that lay ahead. Having little idea what would be saved and what would be lost, we relied on Paul Davis to bring us up to speed.
Bryan Hoppe with their Contents group was amazing from the beginning. He's probably done this hundreds of times, but never did we feel rushed or feel like Bryan just had an agenda or a script to get through. He took his time, he listened, he empathized and he made us feel confident in the PDR process.
When our salvaged items were finally returned, except for a few items that broke during the move, the boxes were impeccably packed with care, labeled perfectly and placed exactly where they belonged. I think out of close to 100 boxes, maybe 1 was in the wrong room.
Paul Davis probably showed better care for our things that we would have. If you go through a similar tragedy as our family did, I was absolutely recommend Paul Davis.
Paul Davis Restoration and Remodeling is quite possibly the best company I have ever dealt with
Sean and Kristian at Paul Davis have been on top of every detail and available at all hours to help my family through a very difficult situation (water damage). I could not be more impressed!
They cleaned my carpet in my rental property because the tenants had a dog and never cleaned. They took the smell right out. No more smell! They also took out damaged carpet by the same dog. It was on concrete and they didn’t damage any tack strip. Very satisfied.
I have been very satisfied with my dealings with Paul Davis company. They have been Professional, but helpful and respectful of my situation, after a catastrophic house fire.Bryan H has been particularly Thoughtful, and very considerate when ever I asked him about anything, he managed to get answers to my questions.
We had a house fire earlier this year. Paul Davis did a great job in removing our belongings, packing them up and itemizing them. When we moved from temporary hotel housing to an apartment, it was easy to ask for the items I needed. They were delivered to our apartment and then taken to our home when the restoration was completed. Brian was extremely helpful and concerned. If we had any issues with our belongings, they were taken care of. He returned phone calls promptly. Once the restoration process started, things progressed well. Eric M, the project manager, was great. He answered all our questions promptly and was at our home often checking on the progress. He was very easy to work with. All of the workers worked very had and all were polite and friendly. We are back home now and I thank Paul Davis for the great job they did.
I called Paul Davis for my next door 90 year old elderly neighbor due to a water leak she had in her basement. The response was quick and they did a good job at removing the wet carpet. The contents department team was amazing under the direction of their supervisor Brian. The contents were removed in less than 2 days which left us in amazement considering tbe amount of contents that had to be removed for the floors to be cleared for the next step which includes asbestos removal.
Brian came out for a follow up on where the project is at and to check on my neighbor which was very kind of him to do.
Exceptional on Brians part.
I recently moved and I had furniture that had been stored in a musty basement that needed cleaning and fumigating (if that's the proper term for getting out the mold smell.) I had used Paul Davis in the past when I had smoke damage from a fire in my apartment building and felt their service was superior, so I used them to take care of this furniture.
I worked with Brian. He is the best ambassador for the business. He was friendly, professional, and very, very patient with me. I had to downsize from a 1500 sq. ft. apt. to one that was just over 600 sq. ft. and I therefore had to deal with selling, donating and generally getting rid of the stuff piled up in my place. I needed to have room to have the furniture brought back in and Brian was quite understanding and willing to give me the time I needed for this task. I had 2 chairs and 2 footstools done and then later decided to have one more chair cleaned. When Brian realized I, as a short, single woman, was having difficulty with picking up the chair, he brought it to me. I am so impressed with his kindness and consideration of my needs as a customer. I highly recommend using Paul Davis and if you're lucky, you'll work with Brian!
In December of 2016 an elderly friend of mine was involved in a condo fire. Several condos were totally destroyed, hers had extensive smoke damage. The day after the fire, Bryan with Paul Davis contents department met us on site. He was re-assuring, professional , and talked us through what would happen with all of her belongings. He helped her gather several days worth of clothes so that they could be cleaned immediately and saw to it that they were promptly delivered to the hotel where she was staying..
I can't begin to describe how thoughtful the crew was as they carefully sorted through everything in the condo, packing what could be cleaned and identifying what would not be able to be saved. They even held out a tiny little candlestick holder until they found the matching one. Everything was so carefully packed, inventoried and removed it was amazing.
Bryan had us meet him at Paul Davis and walked us through the entire facility showing us how everything was cleaned, repacked and stored until the condo was ready for her to move back in. His assurance and concern went a long way in making a bad situation so much easier to get through.
We were given complete reports of everything that was cleaned, matched to pictures when it was removed. Because the re-build was a long process, whenever she needed different clothes (or anything else) from storage, the contents department brought it promptly to her, always with smiles.
When move-in day finally came a few weeks ago, the crew could not have been nicer, or more efficient. 244 boxes were put wherever we wanted them, furniture was not only delivered, but carefully unwrapped and set up wherever we asked, even willingly moving the furniture to "just the right spot."
I can happily say that after everything was unpacked, there was not one thing that was broken, or missing, and everything was sparkling clean and looked brand new.
While dealing with the fire and all of the damage was certainly no fun, I can honestly say that Bryan and the contents department exceeded our expectations and were a genuine pleasure to deal with every step of the way. Thank you so much!!
My experience with Paul Davis on a major fire restoration has been neutral. While I can agree with some of the concerns and negative comments that have been shared on Revdex.com, quality of work and customer service are enough for three stars alone.
From our initial meeting and now being within a week of moving back into my property, the people employed by Paul Davis have been nothing short of amazing. Despite unforeseen delays to the project, errors on both sides, emotions, disagreements, and all the other fun parts of a major restoration project - whenever I voiced my concerns, frustrations, and disappointments it was met with the highest professionalism and genuine apathy. Their employees really do care; from owners down to general labor everyone is approachable and takes a customer-focused approach to their work.
In regards to quality, once the work is agreed to, price is set, and hammer goes to nail - the work is of the highest quality. If it's not, it will be corrected. As much as it would be nice to get scopes of work agreed to, estimates accurate, and all work done exactly as the property owner (customer) has in mind done correctly the first time, that is rarely the way projects work. I would rather miss on deadlines and estimate discrepancies 99/100 times rather than falling short on quality of work.
Looking forward to returning home to a house that is far more beautiful and mechanically sound than it was prior to the accident. Thank you to Paul Davis and specifically to Nick, Bryan, Kristian, Gina, Tim, and Jose.
I arrived home to find that the local fire department had just extinguished a fire behind my garage. Half the municipality was at my house. The firefighters did a great job of containing the fire, and the house was untouched by flames or water. But the smoke damage to the garage and house was extensive. It was soon clear that I would not be able to stay in the house, so I called a friend to recommend someone to secure the property and start restoration. He said to go with Paul Davis, and I'm glad I took his advice.
Everyone I met was calm and knowledgable. Within days Bryan was walking me through the plan for removing and cleaning my stuff. I got all the answers I needed, and soon met the other Paul Davis guys who would guide me through other aspects of the repairs.
As an added bonus, they all worked extremely well with my insurance company, which eliminated lots of potential headaches and miscommunication.
My household items all came back cleaner than they had ever been. And you would have to see how securely they pack your belongings to believe it. The Paul Davis team, right down to the young people who brought in the boxes, delivered on what they said they would do.
I would never wish a fire on anyone, but I would recommend Paul Davis enthusiastically to anyone who needed to get their home and life back in order after a household calamity. They are great guys you never hope to meet professionally, but if your house is a mess after a fire, be very glad you know them.
I would like to submit a positive review about Paul Davis, and their content recovery team. Bryan H, our assigned lead for content recovery, was personable and genuinely compassionate right off the bat. Bryan has a true gift in dealing with people. Honestly, I didn't even know that restoration companies like Paul Davis existed, until our home endured a house fire. Bryan walked us through each step of the 'trifecta' of damage (smoke, water and fire) he was extremely knowledgeable and answered each and every one of our questions. And there were a lot! He was extremely patient with us. It was clear that Bryan and his team were juggling many other cases; however I never got the impression that Bryan didn't have time for our concerns. He was very responsive. There were several times on separate occasions where I reached out to Bryan to see if he could retrieve some of our items from storage. My sons track cleats, my husbands motorcycle riding gear, even finding and pulling my daughters Girl Scout Brownie sash from storage and personally delivering it to me so our daughter could begin selling her Girl Scout cookies. ....His team behind him were all very professional as well. I felt very comfortable having them in my home, taking meticulous care of our things. When all of our furniture and belongings were delivered seven months later, I was amazed at how orderly and clean everything was. Thank you Bryan, and Paul Davis - for taking such good care of us.
Thank you for taking the time to provide a review regarding your experience working with Paul Davis. Your feedback is very important to us and we are pleased that you are satisfied with the services provided. Your comments will be shared with staff and crew involved in your project.
Thank you again for allowing Paul Davis to be of service.
Best,
Paul Davis Team
We had a pseudo fire in our basement on March 8th 2017. The furnace vaporized our fuel oil and the blower on the furnace spread it throughout the house. Paul Davis was hired by our home owners insurance and their adjuster to do the work. Our house smelled like your pants would smell if you accidentally spilled gas on them while filling your vehicle. We initially thought it would be a small task to clean. It turned out to be a monumental task to get our house back. Bryan and his crew in Milwaukee moved out every single item in the home that wasn't attached. It looked like no one lived there. they took great care in packing out all our items and photographing the items that had to be thrown away for the insurance company. They took our items including priceless artwork to their facility in Milwaukee and started the process of cleaning all of our Items. While they had our items they had a sister crew from the Fox Valley come in and start to clean the house and get it back to be a place that we could live in again. The fox valley crew really did clean the house and refurbish it beyond expectations. The final product was better than the home we had before the furnace issue. every surface in the house was painted, sealed or replaced. They even sealed the field stone basement walls which had never been touched since they were built in the 1850's. it was mind blowing walking back into our house but it didn't look like our house it was so new, clean and refreshed. Bryan's crew brought our items back over two trips and 10 moving trucks worth. Everything was clean and even the art pieces were restored and looked vibrant. They did a great job on our items with very little breakage. we had less than 10 items that they broke which is an amazing number considering they cataloged 29,000 of them. The experience with the Milwaukee team was a great one.
There were a few negatives to the process. They had to do with the cleaning process of the house. There were many days after the house was cleared for restoration where no one showed up. This process could have been much quicker if they had groups show up every day. The painter they hired caused most of the delays since we heard they were waiting for him to finish this or that. We were out of our home for 3 months while this was going on. It took a call to Jeff in Milwaukee, but they pulled it together and got us moved in for the long Memorial Day weekend. There are also a few small other things that we didn't like but they don't bear mentioning. The experience was overall extremely positive and we would recommend them to anyone. We also want to mention a few individuals singularly.
Gaby who's crew packed up and cleaned up the house is worth her weight in gold. She did a thankless job at an incredibly high level. Jeff who I mentioned earlier is the CFO of the company. He was the only one stuck in the office and had to listen to my frustrated phone call when Paul Davis company had its national meeting and all of the people in charge of our house were in Florida. He pulled it all together in 4 days despite a monumental amount of work to be done. Lastly but not least I need to mention Bryan H. He was our project manager for all the materials in the house. he kept us in the loop and made everything happen to get us back in the house before Memorial day weekend which we would have been sleeping in cars without him. He quickly issued us a check for the items they broke and insured we could replace these items. Bryan also has a supportive friendly crew who moved us back in Blake and the guys. If you have an issue and are thinking about using Paul Davis ask for Bryan as he is their best! Thank you all and we couldn't be happier with our restored home.
We recently sustained a large scale water loss at our facility that destroyed several floors. I have used Paul Davis on several occasions for emergency situations over the last 10years.
The main benefit is the company's ability to reconstruct damaged property in addition to complete emergency restoration.
Our project managers who handled the reconstruction, Tim Purcell & Ryan Beeck, were very professional and responsive throughout the entire process. The entire team did thorough work. I will definitely continue to use Paul Davis in the future and would highly recommend.
I would highly recommend Paul Davis for any job big or small. They helped clean-up our home to make it a healthy environment and with kindness and compassion. They were always taking into account my sensitivties to Mold and took every precaution to make sure that I would not be effected by the work they were completing while living in the home. We worked with Jacob T (Mitigation Estimator), he and his crew were exceptional! They took great care of our home and always keep our health at the forefront. Honestly, Jacob went above and beyond what I/we would have ever expected and were are very grateful. Without a doubt we would highly recommend Paul Davis.
In January 2017, my home suffered water damage in my kitchen and dining room and also my basement. Paul Davis came highly recommended by my realtor. I met with Tim P and Chris B was introduced as the project manager. Service and professionalism were exceptional. I felt right at ease leaving my house in the hands of theses "strangers" while we were relocated to a hotel. I was never uninformed and Chris was phenomenal!!!! This was the absolute best choice I made for a contractor and I highly recommend Paul Davis to everyone. Thank you Paul Davis, my house looks better than it did before the water damage. Tens across the board.
On June 23rd we awoke to find that our sump pump had failed overnight due to a heavy rain and our basement was full of water. When we filed a claim, our insurance company suggested contacting Paul Davis to begin the clean up/ restoration work that was necessary. Sean, the Project Manger, was here by 7:15 am and his crew of Oscar, Zak and Paul arrived at about 8:30 am. Sean did an excellent job of assessing the situation, contacting the insurance company and the adjuster. He figured out what had to be done and explained everything to me. His staff was here until 4;30 and did an excellent job. They were very pleasant, neat and did a great job. Today was the first day of the work and Paul Davis will be back to continue and complete the job. We are so pleased with the work they did and would highly recommend Sean, Paul, Zak and Oscar and the Paul Davis organization.
We are a large summer camp in Northern Wisconsin called Camp Manito-wish YMCA. We were hit by a severe storm in mid-may with hundreds of large trees down, damage to buildings, fence lines, trails etc. Our biggest volunteer day of the year takes place on Memorial Day weekend with 250 volunteers that stay in our summer camp cabins while they help us open up camp for the summer season. Paul Davis secure a number of contractors to deal with all of the safety issues associated with tree damage, stabalize our builsing and removed all trees directily in the middle of camp in less than 10 days. It was incredible from our perspective as it took extensive coordination of a variety of vendors to get the first phase of this project done in this time frame. Immediately after that weekend they were back at it so that summer camp could open in mid-June. Again the coordinated an entire second effort to clear many areas of trees, do permanent fixes on the buildings and collaborated with us to provide relevant and timely information to our insurance carrier. They worked with as many local vendors as possible and brought in contractors and materials when they weren't available near to camp. All in all it was an outstanding effort. Camp started yesterday, our buildings and walkways are safe and in most areas you can not tell that they were ever here! They helped us on another very different issue 2 years ago with equally high performance. If you ever really need help to get you through serious interruption of services, these are the people to call from my perspective.
We experienced a fire in December 2016 and selected Paul Davis to do the restoration work. We could not be more pleased with the work they did. The entire project was done with exceptional skill and craftsmanship. In particular the materials handling, storage and return of items was done at the highest level.
