Review: A new elevator system was installed in 2013. Trouble began with door related issues in April 2013. Repeated service calls throughout 2013 and through the warranty expiration of March 2014 failed to resolve the repeated problem. A Service Maintenance Contract was signed in April 2014. The service calls continued for the same door issue until October 2014 when an engineer visited the site. As of this date no further calls for service have been needed. It took them 18 months to fix the problem. We refused to make the monthly contract payment because the issue began while the machine was still under warranty. Otis has now suspended maintenance and service calls for their equipment and threatening to sue.

Service calls were made on April 6, 2013, May 1 & 5, 2013, July 4, 2013, February 8, 2014, May 6, 2014, July 23, 2014, August 14, 2014, September 6, 12, 20 & 29, 2014, October 3 (2 times), 2014 and October 5, 2014.Desired Settlement: To cancel the current Service contract and reestablish a new contract ONCE the door issue has been determined to be completely solved.
