I purchased the Video 2 PC MKII a few months ago and have not been able to use it due to the problems listed below. I contacted ION tech support 3 times over the last 2 months with the message below and received conformation it was received; however, since that time I have not received a reply concerning the issue and have not been able to use the product.
I was recording from a VCR system with no problems. Al of a sudden when I went start recording a new tape I received the message: There are no available digitizers. Other applications may currently be using the software, the hardware may not be plugged in, or the driver software may not be installed correctly. So far I have done the following:
- Turned the computer on/off restart
- Reinstalled the driver on the *** and PC (same problem on PC)
- Changed location of hardware to different USBs on PC and *** - Read the trouble shooting manual and had no success
- Followed the proper installation procedures
- Read the community page and there were no solutions

I bought *** from this company many years ago. I have been perfectly happy with it. My computer crashed last week and I bought a new computer. I went to this company's website to download my version of mixmeister and it was not there. I emailed the support link, come to find out , they do not offer *** studio any longer. You have to purchase *** studio 7. I have tried the trial version of 7 and did not like it at all. So I call them today and they tell me that I am pretty much out of luck. I have to buy 7 ,even though they took it upon myself to discontinue *. Mind you I have purchased versions of *** and upgraded over the years and it has cost my nearly $1000 over 4 upgrades, from Versions 3 to 4 to 5 to *. NOW I get this "sorry about your luck" customer service attitude and they want me to buy a version I don't even like. I would have been willing to try to learn 7 , but I don't think it is fair for me to HAVE to buy it. It sort of like an Android phone being discontinued,and a company making you use an Iphone when you do not like an iphone. Its crazy and bad bad business.I would not recommend anyone EVER dealing with this company
